Then I was told my skin was " dehydrated" and offered two anti-aging treatments for $550 and $450. I wasn't even given the option of the facial. The aesthetician, when doing extractions, didn't bother to check my chin for clogged pores, and there are multitudes there! I found her answers to my questions, like how long does the post-needling pain last, cagey and evasive, eg. it depends! (When I said "what's the longest it has ever lasted," she said, "it depends!") Her manner was distracted and careless. The massage was one of the clunkiest I've ever gotten. I kept asking the masseuse to slow down but she didn't seem to know how to; she just went lighter but kept up the frantic pace, bumping into me the whole time. Not a relaxing experience. I'd suggest sensitive clients look elsewhere.

Would not recommend for laser hair removal. Four problems:…read more - Does not work, and I mean ZERO effect. I've had this treatment done elsewhere dozens of times in the past and never had this problem. - When I expressed this concern to them, they dismissed it. When I expressed that I felt dismissed, they said "We're sorry you are feeling that your concerns were being dismissed". That is not a proper apology, and there was no compensation offered for the session that had zero effect. - In fact, that session price was DOUBLED because of the reasons I'll describe below. - Their pricing scheme is sketchy & scammy. The 6-session package rate is presented as 50% off, but it's actually the standard rate (in fact I was quoted almost 30% less than that amount at a different vendor), with the single-session price set at twice that amount. As a result, I was charged that inflated rate for a treatment that produced no results. When I signed up, I thought it was a harmless marketing gimmick, but it was used against me in the end. (I think they assume their customers are dumb and will be overjoyed to get 50% off of double the rate) Update: I went to that other vendor and actually got the result I had expected from this one. Save yourself the trouble and money and humiliation, just go somewhere else. --- 8/14 update: After I notified the company that I intended to dispute the charge and file consumer complaints, they responded by calling my communications "threatening, abusive, or aggressive," referred to my consumer complaints as "ongoing threats," and wrote, "If you wish to escalate this harassment further," they would report me to local authorities. I found this response bizarre, deeply unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. Threatening a customer with law enforcement for saying they intend to dispute a charge and file complaints with consumer-protection agencies is an extraordinary way for a medical practice to handle a billing dispute.

I was reluctant to try yet another esthetician. I was seeing someone who did a good, but not great job and wanted to find someone new, but really didn't want to waste my time and money for a bad facial. A friend of mine sees Tess so I thought I'd finally give her a try. What a nice surprise! To start, she was incredibly patient with my crazy schedule restrictions (thank you btw). The studio is really cute, tucked away in a building along Sir Francis Drake. The facial was amazing - better than the "great" I was looking for. She spent forever on extractions and then put me to sleep with the facial massage. My skin felt so clean afterwards and still does two weeks later. She did recommend some products but also gave me some tips about how change my routine at home to use up what I had before buying anything else (I did get a facial oil that I love!). I would highly recommend Tess - I don't think you'll be disappointed! read more

what can I say, Tess is the BEST esthetician ever. I have been in the beauty industry for 20 years and have never received a facial anything like what Tess does. Tess treats you like you have always wanted someone to treat you and your skin, she cares. Not only does she care but she has GREAT hands, very loving and caring. Tess tailors each facial towards what you need, this is not cookie cutter work. She is a perfectionist. The other thing I love about Tess is she only sells you something if you want it. She does not push products down your throat or sell you what you don't need. If your ready to step up to the real deal, go to Tess. Enjoy! read more

This was my first time at Gloss Beauty and let me tell you this will not be my last! I came all the way from Santa Rosa, and will continue to do so. Superb service, super darling place, that is warm and inviting. I had my brows done with Michelle and she is amazing! My brows don't look like sisters any more, they look like twins. Which, all of us women know that's hard to get. Michelle was so sweet upon picking me up for my appointment, and even during. Even though I was only getting my brows done, I felt like my eyes/brows got some quality love. Thank you Michelle for making my brows look pretty again! read more

I look forward so much to my time with Tess. It is incredibly relaxing and my skin has never looked so good. My skin was dull and rough before I saw Tess. After the first time I saw her, my skin was glowing and smooth. She knew exactly what to do to transform my skin. She offers great, "clean" products.
