I just found my new favorite med spa! I had my first appointment at SkinSpirit this month and tried the BBL HERO treatment. In the past, I've had IPL sessions at other med spas but I had never heard of this treatment before. My amazing aesthetician of 6 years , Ariane, recently started working here and i immediately followed her here to skin spirit! Dawa is truly amazing. I take many steps to maintain my appearance and prevent aging, and my visit with her exceeded my expectations. This was my first time having any type of lip filler, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Andrea is to be avoided. I've been going to SkinSpirit in Mill Valley for over 10 years and everyone has been wonderful. Recently, however, I began seeing Andrea for Botox, after another aesthetician I'd been seeing for years sadly left. Andrea is unfortunately very cold, and seems to have a chip on her shoulder. She's condescending and rude. She isn't open to discussing the number of units you'd like or to the look you're going for. I wanted a natural look and she wouldn't even consider giving me a smaller amount of botox. I ended up with way more botox than I wanted, and I was very unhappy with the result. You want to feel comfortable with the person working on your face. You shouldn't feel intimidated. You should be able to ask questions and openly communicate. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a good aesthetician. read more

I waited six months since my procedure to write a review, and I am still fuming! I just want to warn others to make sure they don't have to go through what I did. My aesthetician whom I have gone to for a number of years, is good, but always tries to upsell me. I always get the Signature Facial. As she started my facial, we were chatting, and then I realized whatever she was doing was not something I was familiar with. It turns out she was DERMAPLANING ME!!! I have alot of peach fuzz on my face, and having this shaving procedure was disastrous! I always had told her in previous sessions I didn't want this, and explained why, but she forgot. There is also an upsell of $75 which she should have checked with me beforehand but they don't seem to do this here. I was horrified, and told her to stop! She said she had to at least even it out. She clearly didn't understand my upset. She thought she was being gracious not to charge me the $75 for this part of the facial(how generous of her), and said she thought my skin looked really good. Yes, for about 3 days until it started growing in! Now I have electrolysis bills to take care of the hair that has grown in askew and doesn't lay flat on my face. Needless to say I do not go here any more. Please make sure to tell your provider exactly what you want done so you don't have to go through what I did. read more

First off, I very rarely write reviews - only when I have an amazing or terrible experience. Lucky for me, my experience with Heidi Beck at SkinSpirit has been beyond amazing. I have had laser treatments and Botox over the years, but the service, warmth, kindness, expertise, and results I have experienced with Heidi have been better than anything I've ever experienced. The services I have had include Botox, face and lip fillers, and the Halo laser. I was definitely nervous to do filler for the first time, because I didn't want it to be obvious and I'm not into an unnatural look. I support everyone doing what they feel comfortable with - I just want to keep looking like me, just refreshed and vibrant, and don't want it to be at all obvious that I've had anything done. The treatments I've had with Heidi have legitimately given me a newfound confidence. I had recently gone through a break up before seeing her, and the work she did on me made me feel so much more confident going into dating again. I regularly get told I look younger than I am. Of course, the results are what are most important, and I'm a total filler and laser convert thanks to the results. However, doing this sort of work is vulnerable and you have to put your trust in your practitioner. Heidi has made me feel relaxed, safe, and cared for every time I see her. She's a naturally caring, kind, thoughtful person. I just think the world of her and couldn't recommend her more highly! She's simply the best nurse and human and clearly so well trained. I go see Emily and Hillary and both are amazing at their jobs! No complaints about either. The only reason why it is a four star and not a five star, is because before Emily, I had someone else do a dermaplanning facial on me and she kept saying not so nice things about my skin during the facial. There was something on my face that I couldn't control at the time and she said ew and that it was gross, which just didn't make me feel comfortable. She ended up moving locations to Palo Alto (I think), so I never saw her again. But I then got reassigned to Emily and it blew me away on how attentive and how nice she was, because the other one wasn't as nice. Overall, the front desk is very welcoming as well and I enjoy their tea selection. read more
