I used to have nothing but great things to say about LaserAway, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I've been trying to get multiple issues with my account resolved for over two months, and it has been incredibly frustrating. I've had treatments disappear from my account, had to repeatedly follow up just to get someone to address the issues, and have had significant difficulty getting appointments scheduled. When I raised the account issue, I was told I could monitor my remaining treatments in the LaserAway app after each visit. These are treatments I have already paid for, and I shouldn't have to monitor my account to make sure they remain properly credited. I was also specifically told I would be scheduled with one of their most experienced nurses, and I drove farther to the Novato location for that appointment based on that information. Instead, I was given a nurse who had been with the company for less than a month. I'm not saying she did a bad job--the issue is that this was not what I specifically requested and was told would be arranged. What's especially disappointing is that when I started looking at the recent reviews, I realized I'm clearly not the only customer experiencing these issues. There are numerous recent negative reviews describing problems with communication, account/package issues, scheduling, and customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been very similar. I've spent a significant amount of money with LaserAway over the years and was once a very happy longtime customer. It's extremely disappointing to see how much the customer experience has declined. I've tried repeatedly to resolve these issues directly, but after more than two months, I'm still having to chase answers. I would strongly recommend considering other options before purchasing treatments or packages here. read more

This location has the worst front desk service and attention to customers. Multiple times I have been canceled on the day of an appointment by the office due to short staffing or wrong scheduling. When stopping in (in person) to reschedule or speak with someone, the attendants are always in the back talking and not paying attention to the front of the house. The specialists administering the treatments are lovely, nothing negative to say about them. It's the office management and lack of customer care that pulls this office down. I have been coming here for tattoo removal for a few years, and initially, the experience was great. The front desk staff were always so helpful, kind and friendly, and the nurses have always been wonderful. Unfortunately, things feel very different now. It seems like there are new people every time I go in. Everyone is still very nice, but I've had two appointments for the same treatment canceled. The first was in April, and I rescheduled for May, only to have that appointment canceled as well. Both times, I received a call/text the evening before telling me that my appointment needed to be rescheduled, because of staffing issues, without even an apology. I scheduled time off from work for these appointments. I finally got in for the treatment, but it didn't seem to do anything. It was almost as if the laser didn't work. There was zero reaction on my skin afterward, not even redness. I understand that this is a process, but it made me wonder if the laser was set too low, or perhaps because I'm seeing a different nurse each time, there isn't the same familiarity with my treatment and what settings have been used previously. Overall, everyone who works there is very nice. There just seems to be fewer people working at the location, and the employees are probably being asked to do more with less. The last time I was there, there was one person at the front desk and one nurse. When I arrived, the front desk person was on a sales call and didn't provide me with the numbing cream, so I had to go find the nurse myself because I was on my lunch break and didn't have much time. I want to be clear that my frustration is not with the employees, its clearly a company issue. Everyone I have dealt with has been kind and pleasant. The place is simply not the same as it was when I started coming for this procedure three years ago. I've been patient through the changes, but once I finish my package, I'll be moving on. My appts have been cancelled on the day of two months in a row now (out of 4 months) and getting a new appt take weeks. for laser hair removal where they want these spaced out 5-6 weeks to time each growth cycle, it is basically impossible with how they constantly cancel on you. oh and a third time, they were running over an hour behind and didn't call to tell me (once i got there they told me they were "about to call"). read more

It's really sad how this company operates. Their nurses are very sweet and they are the only people who don't have a sales commission. Everyone else is constantly trying to sell/upsell you something - from the front desk to their corporate sales team. However, inspite of aggressively pushing treatment packages onto you, this company does not train their nurses to formulate a holistic plan for the series of treatments. Each treatment was completely random and out of place - my nurse said herself that she did not look at my history when determining the settings on the device. After getting hyperpigmentation from an overly aggressive treatment at LaserAway, I went to a real dermatologists office and had a completely different experience. LaserAway's initial "consultation" is not a medical consultation - it is a sales call with a sales rep. At an actual dermatologist office, the consultation is with an actual doctor/nurse discussing medical needs. Also LaserAway isn't even cheap. They sell you a package of 6+ treatments. I had one of the worst experiences with this group. Within a 10-minute conversation, I was put on hold four times. I even said, "Please don't put me on hold again -- I waited 30 minutes just to get on the phone with you," and they still did. The person actually said, "Well, I have a patient, so here you are," and then put me on hold again. Either they need to fix their staffing or teach their team some basic professionalism and respect toward paying clients -- especially considering how expensive their services are. To make things worse, the treatments I received did nothing. My hair looks exactly the same as before. When I raised the issue, I was told I'd receive a complimentary maintenance session because the treatment didn't work as intended. But when I called to schedule it, they refused -- saying "too many days" had passed since I last requested it, even though no one ever mentioned any time limit. It's frustrating and disappointing to see a company charge premium prices while offering subpar results and rude service. There are far better options, like SEV Laser, where I've since gone and had a much better experience -- professional, kind, and results-driven. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this company genuinely deserves accountability. It feels like they're thriving only because of name recognition and money, while smaller, better-run local businesses are doing things the right way. UPDATE* fixed typo THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE SALES TEAM, NOT THE NURSES I purchased an initial laser hair removal package which I later was talked into upgrading. However, when I upgraded, I told them I could not go above a certain monthly payment. The sales team misled me and opened a second loan under my name, which caused me to pay 1.5x my monthly budget, because the upgrade was now a second payment, not an addition to my first. I realized this soon after and called to ask them to fix it. What followed was 3 months of being led in circles constantly by the branch manager who always said she was going to call me back in 5 minutes and then I would have to call myself 3 days later. No one seemed to know what they were talking about - at first the branch manager said the second loan should not have been opened, then a few weeks later she reversed course. I wanted to cancel the upgrade but they would not let me even though I was misled. I was constantly told by different people that they would help me and solve the issue but ultimately was led straight into a dead end and was told that no, even though the sales team misled me, I am stuck with this payment. This was handled extremely unprofessionally by the Corte Madera team, who also looped in the Novato office which also had the same issues. internally this place is VERY disorganized - no one seemed to know who had talked to me and when, even though I was calling their office at least 2-3 times per week for almost 3 months trying to resolve this. And like I said multiple people promised me different things. Though the nurses here are very kind, it's clear this organization is not run well. Simple refund, zero follow-through I've been a LaserAway client for over 15 years, and this has been an extremely frustrating experience. On 11/15/25, I purchased two SkinCeuticals serum products at the Corte Madera, CA location after being told they were returnable if unused. When I attempted to return them, I was given conflicting information and redirected to the products department. Despite multiple calls, emails, and an in-person attempt, I've received no resolution or follow-up. The products remain unused, unopened, and ready to be returned. There was no disclosure at the time of sale indicating these items were non-returnable. Posting here in hopes that someone from LaserAway will finally step in and resolve this. read more

Now Ive been trying to get a refund as it's clear they are not able to accommodate the services they sold me - but I cant get ahold of anyone to help with that. They just send you from person to person and put you on hold. I finally reached Sarah from "client services" who eventually hung up on me when I asked for help...they wont help you. Renewed review from prior LA experience: Terrible customer service experienced at the Corte Madera LA location. Prior to my scheduled appointment, I was getting an onslaught of confirmations that had all different times mentioned in both text reminders and emails -- 3:30, 3:45, 4:15. I had 3:30PM written on my calendar so was confused by all the varying times. I called LA to confirm time as this was for juvederm that requires numbing and did not want to be late for the numbing session. When I called, the lady confirms that numbing starts at 3:45 and that she would take the other times off the calendar (weird that there were even a bunch of times listed for this one appointment in the first place, but okay.....); no problem, I said I'll be there at 3:45. I arrive at 3:45PM on the day of my appointment and the woman at the front desk states that I'm 15 minutes late for my numbing............ So I go on to explain the issue I was having with the different times on various formats of reminders of which, in the midst of my explaining this, she cuts me off and says "the text message is always right"..... excuse ma'am, please explain to me HOW I'M SUPPOSED TO HAVE KNOWN THIS. Not to mention, I look back on all of the reminders and THE TEXT REMINDER EVEN SAID 3:45PM! I lift my phone up to show her the text and point to it, of which her only response is "yup, I see it....." with an attitude.... No apologies.... Nothing. I understand working for a company that has issues with their scheduling software/system, which can be VERY frustrating for employees. Trust me, I get it and I'm sure employees are begging upper management to have this corrected but it's falling on deaf ears........... But you can't have BOTH issues with your scheduling system AND rude employees. It just doesn't work that way..... Please fix one or the other. read more

I always find myself lingering after my appointments to chat with them and catch up! They are so nice, so helpful, and of course always update me on the current/upcoming promos or in-office parties! When it comes to the nurses actually performing the service, everyone has been fantastic! Everyone has their own thing to distract you, help you through the treatment, etc. My most recent service with Alex was above and beyond! She talked to me, distracted me, and even offered me a stress ball just in case, or would tap on my leg to distract me. I think my underarms and full bikini treatment took all of 12 mins, quick and easy! I have 1 treatment left, and with super thick and dark hair, I am very pleased with how thin my hair is now.
