I've recently gone back to PowerMD for a Claro Laser treatment with AnaMarie. The results are quite good, and AnaMarie made me feel at ease as we went through the prep and treatment itself. It's a little jarring to experience at first, but all the skin prep, eye protection and numbing is done so well that it makes the treatment well worth it. My skin benefited in a number of ways: it's clearer, firmer, and younger looking. Forehead wrinkles and crow's feet are dissipating and continue to do so, which is amazing. I have one of those insane hi-magnification mirror at home and am surprised to see how much my pores have shrunk! I took AnaMarie's recommendation to use the Defenage products and a few of my friends have remarked (unprompted) that my face and neck look really good. Of course, I've told them why... Power MD. I have followed Claro up with an Excel laser treatment for eliminating brown spots from sun damage (I was a sun-worshipping FOOL) and it seems to have made tiny red capillaries disappear too. read more

A+++++ experience every time! I'm extremely sensitive to pain, and they have the best laser hair removal machine for sensitive skin- a Diode machine. In addition they have really great numbing cream or even something a little stronger to make laser hair removal truly painless. Lastly the nurses who perform hair removal are talented at their method/ techniques so that you can get really productive hair removal without the pain. To boot, their whole staff is INCREDIBLY nice,and their facility feels like a hotel spa- ultra clean and quite stylish. I went to another laser hair removal provider in Marin, and what a mistake! They left no time for numbing cream, didn't brief me on what to expect and set their Alexandrite laser (ow!) to far too high a level. Every contact with the wand was extremely painful and my skin got red and puffy. Never again. I will ONLY go to Power MD from now on! A+ experience every time there. read more

I've been coming to Power MD for years and I can't say enough good things about it. Everyone there is so sweet, and they all make you feel so comfortable (which is so important when you're talking about aesthetic changes to your appearance that you may feel insecure about.) I really struggled with this review as I felt this was going to be a good experience, sadly not so. After purchasing body sculpting that was preached that it must be done 2x a week. The office had difficulty keeping their agreement, however, I was told by Hilary that they were very fair and would be good to me, this fix did not happen. Love Power MD. Staff is extremely friendly and they have a good selection of skin care products for sale. They perform a huge selection of procedures and never try to upsell me like other places I have been too. She is also honest about results and and when I have asked about other procedures, she has been truthful that I didn't need them. My first treatment I called several weeks after, because I didn't notice much of a difference. Though I was honest in that, I didn't take a before picture and since the injection works over a period of weeks, there may have been a change , but I may have not noticed, since I gradually got accostomed to it. The staff was extremely nice and told me to come back in and they would look at me. When I came in they showed me the before picture and there was a noticeable difference, yet they still offered to give me a few more injections at half price. This is how you know that a company is great. They addressed my concerns and were helpful even when it was my perception. It took me a long time to write this review, 2 years or so. I don't like confrontation and I feel bad writing something poor about a business, especially a woman owned business which I definitely want to see thrive. I booked a laser package and paid a lot of money for it. I was really excited about it because I have always struggled with Jewish hair, so I was pumped to be rid of it. Unfortunately, during one of the sessions, the technician who was doing it was careless and zapped a tattoo that was near the area being lasered, but not close enough to make that kind of mistake. She had zoned out or was distracted and instead of the correct area, she got my tattoo. It was excruciating and all she said was "oops!" And THEN covered it with a little pad and taped it on. I don't know why she didn't do this beforehand, but it doesn't matter. It was too late. After that she said sorry and said "that probably hurt a lot!" Yes, it did. It immediately started to blister and then eventually over the next couple weeks the blisters burst and I was left with a scar with no pigment left in that area of the tattoo. While I didn't expect the entire package to be refunded, i would have at least liked the session refunded. Not only am I out the original cost of the tattoo, but any cover up will be on my dime too. All around it was a really disappointing experience for the amount of money I paid. I hope that anyone reading this will make sure to ask for their tattoos to be covered before getting lasered. read more

I recently moved from Manhattan and I kid you not the person I miss the most was my aesthetician. I had 2 negative experiences in Marin before finding Power MD. One with a MD who bragged about his credentials, was overly complimentary then basically suggested I change my entire face, taking about 1 1/2 hours of my time trying to upsell me and another provider that wanted to charge $250 for a consultation even though I knew exactly what I wanted. Also, I love talking with the front desk staff, who are so sweet, welcoming, and accommodating. I visited PowerMD last week after they opened up after COVID shelter in place regulations were lifted. I was super impressed with the safety precautions; efforts were made to have transactions contactless whenever possible, any surface that I did need to touch (which were not many) were sanitized before and after, all staff were wearing masks, and staff maintained physical distance except when the NP was working her magic with my treatments.
