Tish is amazing & super friendly. She managed to squeeze me in the day before my graduation and i couldn't be more thankful. My mom was running a little late so she let me stay in her studio to wait. I had a nice time talking to her. Although it was a bit confusing, because recently Tish moved location. My mom dropped me off at the old one (the one showed her on Yelp) and I had to walk to her new address. Good thing it wasn't too far (about a 10 minute walk.) It's been about 3 weeks since Rene did my lashes and they are still going strong! Rene popped my eyelash extension cherry and quite frankly she may have created a monster! From the get go, Rene was warm, welcoming and very professional. She took great care in preparing me for the nearly 3 hour process. I completely understand now why eyelash extensions generally cost what they do; it is a long, tedious process and Rene has the patience of a Saint! Her work meticulous; her hand steady...this woman could be a brain surgeon! Yeah, that's right, I just compared false eyelash application to life saving brain surgery! It's *that* serious, people! Not to mention she offered to wax and stain my eyebrows. This I had trepidations about because as it is, I have naturally very thin, sparse eyebrows. I thought, "Really? Where do you plan on waxing this hair from, exactly?"...but after I saw what she did with my lashes, I said oh what the heck, they're only eyebrows after all. I came to Tish after working with another lash artist for about the last 18 months. They'd done a good job at first, but in the past 6 months, I was getting increasingly unhappy - lashes turning all over the place w/in days of placement, feeling very "gluey," etc. So I came to Tish after a friend recommended her - all i can say is - NIGHT AND DAY experience. the other person was pretty much wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, trying to get you out of there as quick as possible with basically no artistry at all. Tish really takes her time, placing each lash carefully, according to the shape of your eye. They looked so natural and were silky smooth and super comfortable to wear. I love them!!! Tish is a delight to work with. You need to plan a little extra time because she'll take her time to get the right look for you, but it's worth it in my opinion. I've always been envious of doe-eyed, long lashes that some folks seem to have. I have gotten lash extensions at multiple places and I have to say Tish and Renee are amazing at their craft. Their space is clean and relaxing. Both ladies are friendly and listen to your needs. I prefer a more natural look. Tish described to me the different type of lashes we could use. She showed me what a "C" "D" and "G" and their desired effect would be. Extensions are not a cheap treat, nor should they be. These ladies both understand they are dealing closely with your eyes and make sure you understand how to care properly for your lashes to make them last. Parking is pretty easy, there are multiple garages in the area. If this is your first time getting lashes done, be prepared to be there a few hours. I had a vacation planned so I called right away to see if I could get an appointment. She was able to get me in a few days later. Tish was warm, friendly and informative. I've had experience with many other estheticians and have to say Tish is the best I've encountered. I've now been going to her for over 10 years and found that she is an expert at waxing and facials. Tish also attends many trade shows to keep current on the newest and most effective treatments available. I appreciate her attention to detail - she is very meticulous and efficient. A few years ago she started doing lash extensions. They are awesome! While they can be a little pricey, it's great to have set of lush lashes that make your eyes "pop" without any eye makeup and without the fuss of applying false lashes. I love them! They last around 6 weeks and I'll do them a couple of times a year when I have something important coming up. In between I have her tint my lashes. Tish is beyond amazing and I can't recommend her highly enough. By way of background, I'd gotten my lashes done (a new full set) while out of town visiting a girlfriend. The salon had a special for first-time clients so I decided what the hell. I loved them for about 3 days and then they started clumping and basically looking like crap. When I got home I googled nearby salons and came across Tish. She was kind enough to meet me for a full 1/2 hour (before I had even booked an appointment!) to talk with me about my lashes, explain what the previous studio had done that was making them look this way and proposed how she would do my lashes. Her knowledge and patience totally sold me. I am super duper high maintenance when it comes to most of my salon needs and she wasn't phased in the slightest. She knew so much about the process I was really impressed. Day of my fill, she was meticulous. She spent over two hours with me (yes, ladies, on a fill!). When I sat up and she gave me the mirror I was like, "OMG THIS WOMAN READ MY MIND!" My lashes couldn't have looked better--and they looked exactly like I'd hoped they would. I think I probably bounced out of the salon I was so happy. I know there are several other well-known lash specialists in Marin (and I've been to one of them), but the patience Tish had, and her pricing is so unbelievably good that really--skip the rest and head straight to Tish. Tish did a perfect job lifting and tinting my eyelashes. She was very careful about which roller size to use to curl/lift my lashes. I'll definitely be back to get this done again. I get compliments now on my eyelashes all the time. I had to call around to 5 or so different places to find a salon that does an eyelash lift. Some even told me that women don't ask for that any more (like out of style). I guess that extensions are more popular these days, but if you use Latisse, you definitely need to go to Tish to get an eyelash lift! I had my eyelashes done in Santa Rosa at "Lash Out" and had a groupon for a full set of eyelashes. I was in and out of there within an hour. I was very disappointed to say the the least. I found the "Lash Room"on Yelp and I went there and Tish did a fill in on my lashes and it took 2 hrs and I absolutely loved my lashes! Tish takes her time and makes sure you are happy with the the lashes she puts on. No rushing you in and out. Shes fantastic and knows whats shes doing. Cost was very reasonable compared to what Lash Out charges for 45 minutes which wasnt a full set as promised on the groupon. read more
