Writing this review for the owners so they can hopefully understand how horrible the customer service is from the man who answers the phone to book an appointment. I've been coming here consistently for over a year, ever since I moved to Marin, and this is the 2nd/3rd time the same man has dampened my experience. The first incident in 2023, I booked an appt and called back to let him know I was going to be slightly late - he ended up, quite literally, yelling at me saying I should be mindful of my appointment time. When I told him I was late due to personal reasons, he ended up apologizing and giving me a FAKE name. I found out his name wasn't "Tom" when I was telling this incident to one of the women doing my nails. See the photo I attached for PROOF that this incident occurred, as he texted me later in the day, apologizing once more after he realized he was in the wrong. Apparently their receptionist saves your phone number and info in their system indefinitely.. Fast forward to 1 year later, today, when I tried booking an appt, I called and nicely asked if they had any availability for a dip powder mani & regular pedi. First thing he responds is, "are you going to come this time bc last time you didn't come!!" I was shocked & so confused at this response because I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. I then asked him what was he accusing me of, because I confirmed the last time I came, I got my nails done & touched up by Jenny (which was an amazing job her part btw). He ended up yelling back at me, then quickly apologized when he realized I was telling the truth. Next, I asked for his REAL name this time, after I told him I want to speak to the owners to let them become aware his horrible customer service and he refused to say his name! He ended up yelling at me saying he doesn't like how I'm handling this... Excuse me?! The audacity? Paradise Nail salon, I have been coming to you nonstop for the last year and these 2 incidents with your incredibly rude receptionist is not a good look for your brand. Please do something about this or you will lose not just me, but other customers as well. From a fellow local, trust me when I say your nail salon is truly gaining a bad reputation around the neighborhood and beyond, which solely stems from your receptionist. I promise you, customers are flocking to other salons because of him. I really can't fathom how your salon allows this man to treats his customers. He has no respect, decency, or a care in the world for providing genuine customer service. Evidently, his main priority is overbooking clients to squeeze in as many as possible solely for profit. It's sad for me to write this because the women who work here truly are passionate about their job. The lack of customer service & incredibly rude behavior from your receptionist who lies about his name and creates FALSE accusations really put the nail in the coffin for me. It's truly a uniquely horrible experience that I've never had once in my life, not from ANY salon, ever.

I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with this salon. I've been going for past 3 years and they are always so kind and welcoming. I always come for dipping powder. All the other salons I've gone to for dipping powder hurts me like crazy afterward or just chips. This has never happened to me with them which my nails appreciate so much. Will keep coming for sure

my nails look okay, but way expensive for a $90 regular manipedi. the feet rub was disinteresting, and my right pinki nail was cut too close to the quick and is throbbing 3 days later. recommend to never come.

Love this new color beautiful midnight blue with a little sparkle !

I love this place. It's worth driving from the East Bay to get your nails done here. Great service, they are kind and do quality work.

I found the owner/boss of this place to be rude and disrespectful. There are plenty of great salons around so no need to go here.

How much is a regular mani?

How much is it for acrylics?

    $45+ for reg polish

How much is it to get dip powder nails?

$50 for regular dip powder (they have over 100 colors) and its +$5 if you want to do French dip powder and then its +$2 if you want to pay by CC. Bring cash to avoid the $2 credit card fee

Is it clean, do they sterilize instruments and foot basins?

They have a cavitron which is what a dentist uses to sterilize the tools they use and use new files for each client. They also put a plastic bag in the foot basins so it's clean for each client no foot germ contamination! I'm a germ freak so for me… Read more

This was my first time having any type of lip filler, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I went from having almost no visible upper lip especially when smiling to a more natural, balanced smile that made such a difference for me. I also had under-eye filler for the first time after years of hesitation due to seeing inconsistent results on others and the lack confidence at consultations with other providers in the past. Dawa immediately put me at ease, and the outcome surpassed what I hoped for. The under-eye filler didn't just address the hollowing, it subtly shaped and lifted my face in a way that looks refreshed and natural. The results are difficult to fully capture in photos, but in person they are even better than I imagined. I'm incredibly happy with my experience and will absolutely continue seeing Dawa in the future.

The whole salon is pleasant to be in (decor and music is great) and they have an army of workers. I like regular gel on my nails, but they offer it all. I'm pretty seasoned at this by now and what I've noticed is that I leave with great looking manicures, but every time I go back, my nails are thinner and weaker. I'm not sure if I'll keep going here because they seem to value time over the health of my nails. Every tech is quick to use the chemical remover that will sting/ burn your skin if it touches you, and takes the gel right off like acid. To make things even faster they'll use the dremmel to sand down the nail and remove any residual polish. This results in thinner, weaker, exposed nails over time. So when that chemical remover is painted on- wow! It hurts. It's cold and painful, and by the time you realize it- too late. I'm growing out my nails and letting them replenish themselves before I go back- which could take months. Why go back at all? Convenience, really. I'll likely ask them to lay off the chemical remover and wrap them instead. As far as polish colors go, they seem to have a lot, but they use a ton of DND. I prefer the longevity of OPI, but they do have some of this as well. They keep your info in their system but don't track your colors- note that detail yourself. I don't know if it's a gel thing, but it bothers me how rough they file my nails. It's never done with a fine grain along the edges. Inevitably I'll start snagging things with the edge of my fingernails and need to file them myself. Would I recommend this place? Yes, for ambiance and time alone. The cost is average to high if you go beyond the basic manicures, but this is Marin. I get better quality for the same, or less, in the city- so I may just start going back there until my nails are healthy again.
