I've been going to Paradise Nail Salon every couple of weeks for about five years, and I honestly won't go anywhere else. They do the best job of any nail salon I've been to in Marin, or beyond! Everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the salon is very clean. They have what feels like a million nail colors to choose from. And Jennie is the absolute best for manicures. I am very particular about my nails, and Jennie gets them perfect every single time. She is meticulous, talented, and incredibly sweet, and I am always happy when I walk out the door. Pedicures are great too, and the ladies are all so thoughtful and kind. I can't recommend Paradise Nail Salon highly enough. Five stars, without hesitation! Jenny and Jennifer were amazing for a last-minute gel manicure and regular pedicure on a Sunday evening! They were able to squeeze me in for a last-minute appointment and have an incredible selection of nail colors (to match toes to fingers). Great, attentive service and very expedient from start to finish (1 hr). Fair pricing ($85) and they don't charge extra fees for using your credit card or taking off gel polish. NEVER coming back here! I'd give zero stars if I could. We were yelled at and overcharged. Paradise salon unapologetically took advantage of me. What was supposed to be a treat for my daughter became a nightmare. Appointments here are a joke, but apparently this is known by the regulars who tolerate it because the nail work is good. Paradise Salon more than double books time slots, so be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes after your appointment time. In my case, I waited 1 hour after my "appointment" and did not even get my nails painted... but, I did get charged $30 for my time. I should have trusted my and my daughter's instincts and left much earlier. We were sat right away and told they'd be right with us. For 20 minutes no one even talked to us. We asked repeatedly to soak our feet and kept getting told "soon." (We were already in the chairs, so they just had to turn on the water.) We got up to leave after around 40 minutes, so they turned on the water... for me, but not my daughter. I asked again for my daughter to be able to soak. "Soon," we were told. So, my daughter started putting on her shoes... and they finally turned on her water. Noticing a trend here? A woman came to us and said she would do my mani/pedi first and then my daughter. I asked her to do my daughter's first. She said she would do mine first. I asked her to please do my daughter's first. At which point she pulls my feet out of the water and starts clipping my nails. She then squirted oil on my feet and put them back in the water (2-3 minutes tops), and I asked again for her to take care of my daughter. Finally, she did. And my daughter's nails looked great. (The one bright spot.) Unfortunately, it was now 1hr+ past my appointment, so I had to leave. They charged me $30 for making me wait one hour in what was cold water at that point. I offered $15 since there was no massage or color. This resulted in them yelling at me and telling me it was $30 and my choice not to have them finish. My daughter was so uncomfortable that she stepped back and smudged a toenail. They yelled at her for that, too. read more

Writing this review for the owners so they can hopefully understand how horrible the customer service is from the man who answers the phone to book an appointment. I've been coming here consistently for over a year, ever since I moved to Marin, and this is the 2nd/3rd time the same man has dampened my experience. The first incident in 2023, I booked an appt and called back to let him know I was going to be slightly late - he ended up, quite literally, yelling at me saying I should be mindful of my appointment time. When I told him I was late due to personal reasons, he ended up apologizing and giving me a FAKE name. I found out his name wasn't "Tom" when I was telling this incident to one of the women doing my nails. See the photo I attached for PROOF that this incident occurred, as he texted me later in the day, apologizing once more after he realized he was in the wrong. Apparently their receptionist saves your phone number and info in their system indefinitely.. Fast forward to 1 year later, today, when I tried booking an appt, I called and nicely asked if they had any availability for a dip powder mani & regular pedi. First thing he responds is, "are you going to come this time bc last time you didn't come!!" I was shocked & so confused at this response because I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. I then asked him what was he accusing me of, because I confirmed the last time I came, I got my nails done & touched up by Jenny (which was an amazing job her part btw). He ended up yelling back at me, then quickly apologized when he realized I was telling the truth. Next, I asked for his REAL name this time, after I told him I want to speak to the owners to let them become aware his horrible customer service and he refused to say his name! He ended up yelling at me saying he doesn't like how I'm handling this... Excuse me?! The audacity? Paradise Nail salon, I have been coming to you nonstop for the last year and these 2 incidents with your incredibly rude receptionist is not a good look for your brand. Please do something about this or you will lose not just me, but other customers as well. From a fellow local, trust me when I say your nail salon is truly gaining a bad reputation around the neighborhood and beyond, which solely stems from your receptionist. I promise you, customers are flocking to other salons because of him. I really can't fathom how your salon allows this man to treats his customers. He has no respect, decency, or a care in the world for providing genuine customer service. Evidently, his main priority is overbooking clients to squeeze in as many as possible solely for profit. It's sad for me to write this because the women who work here truly are passionate about their job. The lack of customer service & incredibly rude behavior from your receptionist who lies about his name and creates FALSE accusations really put the nail in the coffin for me. I have been going to this salon for a while. I was never impressed with their service, which is below average, and the prices are way over than the other places. The most annoying part about this salon is that they NEVER HONOR APPOINTMENTS on it's respectful time. They are constantly over-booking and making the clients wait longer with or without appointments. Also, the space is over-packed with way too many chairs and stools. There's hardly room to move around. The exits are always blocked, I wonder whether if it's up to the fire code. I found a few other nail salons nearby, which provides a way better service, value their customer's time, and reasonably priced. So save yourself from this awful business. read more

The women who work there are lovely, so my complaint is not with them (though it is a bit expensive for what you get given all the amazing places out there). The issue is with appointments and the manager. Like many, I'm short on time, and so I make appointments. It almost never works out here, and I end up waiting between 20-30 minutes anyway. Today I tried one last time because this place is close to my house. I tried something different though--I explained to the manager that I had to be at the airport and so I couldn't be as flexible as normal. He assured me it would be fine, but agreed to call me if they got delayed. That way, I didn't come in unnecessarily if they couldn't fit me in. He did not call and so I headed over. After 10 minutes I had to leave. Another woman said I should call the manager because everyone else had appointments and they were all delayed; she suggested the manager overbooks. So I called the manager to provide this feedback and his response was that the women work hard (no doubt!) and that sometimes things are delayed (yup, that's life!). But he had no response to my point that all I asked from him was a head's up if they couldn't take me at my appointed time. He was unable to understand that it was the lack of follow through and wasting of my time that was the issue. In sum: the manager will book an "appointment" and offer whatever assurances necessary to make that "appointment," but it is not an honest representation of what is happening on the ground and he is not interested in feedback. read more

Overpriced for the quality. They take walk ins, but the nail techs get annoyed because they are backed up. I saw multiple clients who came in saying they had an appointment have to wait up to an hour or reschedule for a later time because they were so busy. Take my advice: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! You'll save time, energy, and money. This was the most stressful girls day. and we were celebrating a birthday!! They definitely ruined it. Last minute mani & pedi with my girls. We called for an appointment. A man answered and said they can take all 3 of us. Ok, great. We went in and were seen shortly, nice. Then other appointments started showing up and some were turned away, although they called ahead and gotten approval to come in. The man on the phone isn't even in the store. He double, maybe triple book. Some clients came in for their appt, then ended up waiting for almost an hour to be seen! This is just ridiculous. Scheduling wasn't the worst part. Out of 3-4 nail techs, only 1 was good. The one that did my dip mani. However, she said the mani & pedi are the exact same color but they weren't. One was slightly darker than the other. Yeah, to some it may not be a big deal. But to me, I'm paying to get the EXACT same color on my hands and feet. I even asked her multiple times to check the color code to make sure. She assured me it's exactly the same. It wasn't. My friend was extremely unsatisfied. The lady couldn't even cut and file her nails straight. It was crooked, uneven to others, and the colors were wrong. Most nail techs are able to match color from a picture. Yes, it may not be exact but close. The nail tech said she doesn't match colors. Didn't even suggest my friend any color close to the shade she desired. For pedi, I've never EVER gotten hot wax in a bag rubbed on my legs and feet before. Usually, my feet goes INSIDE the bag with hot wax. I'm guessing they're reusing it or something? Disgusting. Thennnn, I don't know what the pedi lady did, but whatever she did, she did THE WORST JOB I'VE EVER GOTTEN. My heels were literally raw. It was painful to walk for days, even weeks! Then my heels developed dry, thick and cracked calluses. I'm assuming it's because she went down too deep. This has never happened to me before!!! Not sure if the pedicure heel grater she used on my feet wasn't sanitized properly, she went too deep and made it too raw, or the bag of hot wax. Either way, my heels are messed up!! I'm looking to go see a podiatrist or a dermatologist for this. The most expensive pedicure I've ever gotten in my life. I'd never come back and neither will any of my friends. read more

All the other salons I've gone to for dipping powder hurts me like crazy afterward or just chips. This has never happened to me with them which my nails appreciate so much. This place is wild. It's tiny but it's like they're on a mission to cram as many people as they possibly can in here- at the expense of the quality of your service. We had scheduled appts at this place but ended up not being seen until 30 min after our appt. They then took in a few other appts and ended up going back and forth between multiple people and us. One, that's not very hygienic and two, they were rushing through our manicures and pedicures. My friend got a gel pedicure and the lady brought out one bag of paraffin wax and just rubbed the outside of the bag over her feet. When my friend asked if they were going to do the paraffin, the lady said "oh I already did it - you two were talking so you didn't notice". WTF? I have NEVER heard of a paraffin treatment where they just rub the bag of wax over your feet. Anyway, this place sucks. There are so many other nail salons in Marin - don't waste your time here. read more

This was an amazing experience! I got an eyebrow wax and pedicure by Ina and Jenne and it was amazing.

Warning: Don't rely on Paradise Salon honoring your appointment. I had a wax appointment made a few days in advance to have prior to a next day flight to a destination wedding. I arrived and checked-in 15 min. early. They told me to wait....25 min later a new customer came in, then 10 min. Later she was seated and being serviced for a mani&pedi. I asked for an update- they told wait another 5 min. But there was no way the customer would be done in 5 min. The staff never once turned to look at me when we spoke or apologize, even as I was super patient. I said I could not wait any longer and left. About 45 min wait for an appt that would have taken 15min. I called another salon who took me right away - were ready when I arrived, and did a great job. I will never go back to Paradise Salon, unprofessional and rude, for mediocre nail and wax service. read more

SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE but the outcome is incredible. probably the best pedicure I've ever had, but we had an appointment for three mani pedis but somehow still waited more than an hour to be served and had other customers taken in front of us. staff was not really apologetic at all until we left after only getting half the mani pedi. read more

Very nice group of ladies working this shop but terrible manicure, worse I've had in a long time. I was traveling and needed a mani/pedi last minute. They were kind enough to take me on the spot but I wished they had turned me away! I would have saved $100 and been spared. Nail polish has lumps, my nails are irregularly shaped... not something a professional would do! I requested a French mani in the shellac (long wear polish). The technician applied the white line extra thick even though I repeatedly asked for a thin line. My nails look awful and the polish started chipping within a day. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. If you have standards this is not the place to go. I wasted $100 on a crappy mani/pedi. read more

I came to Paradise Salon to get a gel manicure and pedicure after seeing that it was the #1 reviewed place on Yelp. I just moved and am so sad to be so far away from the nail salon I frequented in Los Gatos, so I hoped this salon would be a new go-to. Paradise Salon did a great job and the manicurist took the time to explain to me that the color I picked often looked different once painted on and she helped me find a different color that was much better. I love it so much I took a photo of it to get the same color next time. I appreciated the time and care they put into making sure I got what I wanted. They were efficient and kind. Surpassed my expectations! I just moved to Marin county and needed to find the right nail place. I did a simple Yelp search and Paradise salon came up. I called ahead before I went there to ask if they had any availability. Luckily for me, they did! When I first arrived, they were getting pretty busy but they assured me someone was going to come and help me. 5 mins later Ana (?) came and did my pedicure. She was so great! Easy to talk to. I spoke to her about my manicure also, told her I wanted acrylic (cos my nails were sooo short) and she suggested to do powder. Now I've never done powder on my nails but I went ahead and said yes. No regrets! I forgot the name of the person who did my manicure, but she was amazing! Powder on my nails look SO good! The most natural acrylic manicure I've ever gotten. With that, It's so hard to find a salon that will actually give me what I want (length wise, color, etc) but so happy to say paradise salon is the one!!!
