I've been there many times over the years and honestly they have really gone down hill. The place is clean and most of the staff that perform services are good, though I did have one create an infection during extractions one time even after I said it wasn't ready to go, but the main reason for my review is the customer service is so terrible. I got my mom a gift card to go there and the staff was so rude to her. Recently I had an issue with my assistant booking an appointment at the wrong time. They were very rude when they called to see where I was and didn't listen to my explanation before hanging up and fully charging me. Sad to see such a good place slip like this. read more

Don't buy from their boutique unless you are 100% sure you want that item or can get back over there within 14 days to exchange. They don't do refunds and refuse an exchange for literally the same item, different size, if you are a minute past the 14 day mark. Over $100 wasted by my son who bought me the wrong size item and I wasn't able to get back down there for a couple of weeks. I didn't even realize there was such a short time limit, and even though I could see they had the EXACT same item, they refused to honor a simple exchange for different size. A friend and I visited EVO SPA this morning. My friend was pleased with her - first in a lifetime - facial. She said it was relaxing and thorough. I thought her skin looked bright and refreshed too. I had a massage (not my first) and was not impressed at all. It was overall weak and lacking. The therapist was very congenial and professional conversationally, they made me feel welcome. But technically they didn't seem to feel symmetry (what's done on on left is done on the right) was an important component to their body work; but, I really do. And the pressure of the massage was also inconsistent, as well as the effort which was unimaginative - even random. I ended up feeling frustrated on the table - not relaxed. Then when I shared my frustration with the frontdesk attendant, they were remiss in offering any suggestions to remedy the unfortunate service. When I called them an hour later realizing I should have asked to talk to the manager about my disappointing experience, the same attendant was even less able to offer "customer service vibes." When I experience poor customer service like that I just think that likely management is probably off too. So, my review is that it was a 50/50 thing for us, and that I hope they can get their scene together as I would love to have a place close by to use. Suggestions: management could receive regular massages to keep an eye on what their customer's are paying for/receiving and train the front desk attendants to offer way better accommodation-energy. The "spa day" is a self-care/indulgent day...it shouldn't be a letdown day. Update - I spoke to the front desk manager and they extended a 15% discount on my next massage as recompense, but not sure I'll try them again after reading other reviews basically citing the same issues :/ read more

I wandered into evo today last minute with low expectations I could get a massage but I got right in! I got a 45 minute tension tamer treatment from Nick and it was 10 out of 10. He didn't talk my ear off like most massage therapists do when I mention i'm in the same industry which I really appreciated and really took advantage of that whole 45 minutes. I have spent thousand of dollars buying various merchandise and they couldn't exchange unworn item with the receipt to exactly the same but size bigger. I love Evo Spa. I have been going to Evo Spa since before it was the spa it has evolved into today. In my late teens I got my first leg waxing and facial. I was hooked. 15 years ago I was given a pre-weddinig gift of several treatments. It was the most perfect thing a person could be given before such a significant life event. Love this place. I hurt my neck snowboarding and scheduled last minute to see Jacqueline for a deep tissue massage. Evo was incredibly accommodating even when I arrived late. Honestly they went above and beyond. Jacqueline is masterful and has been developing her skills a long time. I woke up this morning with a lot less pain. I took my son here for a teen facial. the facial was very helpful for his skin. after we asked for a gentle cleanser and moisturizer recommendation to take on his summer trip. It made his face red and irritated and he was unable to use the products. Since he was of town he couldn't return them right away. when I tried to return them for him, I was told they had a strict 14 day policy and refused to give a credit or refund. I attempted to exchange a birthday gift for something else in the store (one wouldn't even know they were a spa, as they have so much merchandise) and I was told they had a strict, inflexible return policy. The gift was given ten days after purchase to me and they rudely told me, sorry we can't help. I asked to speak to a manager and they took my number and said I would receive a call. My prenatal / pregnant massage review . I liked certain points of my massage but there was definitely prolonged conversation majority of the massage so I couldn't really get into a relax "zen" mode. Also, the areas I told the masseuse I was most concerned about were not really focused on which was a bummer. Really disappointing customer service. I got a facial and I purchased products that turned out to be bad on my skin. When I went to return it and get a refund I was told that there was a strict no refund policy and they could only offer a store credit. They were completely inflexible and unwilling to compromise so now I am forced to buy products that I don't even want or need. This was never told to me when purchasing so that needs to be made more clear. But this review is more a heads up that the front desk staff is rude and condescending. I believe the owner was there and she was polite but one staff member was incredibly short and condescending living up to the Marin County snobby stereotype. She barely had time for me and I left feeling so less than. Sorry Evo Spa but you absolutely do not get my endorsement. read more

Went in for a deep tissue massage on my birthday in July. The masseuse I had was shaky the entire time, uncomfortable, and also wouldn't put enough product and basically massaged me against my skin which didn't felt great at all. It was probably the worst massage I had there. After leaving, I called them to express how I felt about it. Told them how unsatisfied I was, and I usually am not the type of person to complain. They told me to enjoy my day, and someone will contact me the next day. One month later, no phone call. No one has contacted me. It's like they don't really care. I even emailed them after a few weeks. No response. Definitely not coming back here again. read more

The best news ever, my long time esthetician, Krystiana is now working at Evo Spa! I have been going to Krystiana for years and when things closed down due to Covid, my skin was in bad shape (dry, flaky, with cystic acne, irritated, red and very itchy) and in one session Krystiana improved my skin texture and appearance by 100% and it is now supple, smooth, clear and feels so good! What's really cool is that Evo Spa has an abundance of various products that Krystiana can use to provide a personalized skin treatment. Krystiana has a strong following but if you haven't gone to her before, you should know she has been formally trained in Poland by the best cosmetic school in the industry and has been an esthetician for many years. Her experience and training makes a world of difference in her ability to deliver the greatest results while providing an incredibly relaxing and soothing facial experience! Oh and did I fail to mention that she is incredibly kind and actually cares about you, your skin and your overall well being! I highly recommend Krystiana, you won't be disappointed! read more

So happy this place exists in my hood! I always thought I had to travel to SF or a posh hotel for a proper spa environment -- as all the Tiburon massage places I have been to have all been very clinical aka you feel like you are getting a massage in the school nurse's office with the "relaxing" sounds of road traffic mixed with some meditation jams. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this gem of an oasis that manages to actually feel like a proper resort spa -- complete with a small but cozy waiting lounge, low lighting, comfortable almost soundproof rooms, and all the technology a heated, adjustable massage bed can offer. I am a massage junkie so cannot speak for the facials and other service, but have loved both prenatal massages I received here. They don't have a pregnancy pillow with the belly & boob indents that allow you to lie face down, but they still set up the table well with a body pillow to hug (and I actually prefer being on my side for prenatal massages anyway) The convenience of the online booking system is great, and I actually was happy they had my credit card on file to charge because I booked online because I forgot my wallet one day due to pregnancy brain... :/ Also if you sign up for their email list, there are usually some great specials (including 15% massages for same day massages which I have seen a couple times midweek - typically Monday and Thursdays!) Pricing is in line with most of Marin's other massage spots, meaning not economical per se -- but I think it's definitely more worth it due to the ambiance and environment. The boutique store is also pretty adorable with some fun dog mom paraphernalia and the usual overpriced aesthetic beauty products -- but hey, it's Marin after all. read more

The massages here have been subpar but I've continued to come here because it's closest to my house. I booked a massage and got stuck behind an accident on the bridge. I called them to let them know and they decided to charge for the full hour of massage. I offered to pay for half the massage but they refused and said it was policy to charge for the full hour and so it they did. They would rather lose a long time customer rather than be reasonable about the fact that I cannot control traffic. Their massages have always been subpar so it's time to find someplace better, even if that means I will need to drive a bit further. read more

Covid visit: Pro for safe precautions & services outside. However, I made the appointment with the front desk by discussing my needs. She assured a regular facial Is a deep clean. Due to Covid, they are not using the steamer. I wish they would explain that & that there are barley any extractions. When I checked out I heard another front desk girl telling ANOTHER CUSTOMER on the phone the facial & aqua facial are deep cleans. I mentioned to the manager who was standing there, I wish I knew the regular facial is not a deep clean, I would have opted for the aqua facial. The manager brushed it off as oh we don't know everyone's skin type on the phone. That had nothing to do with it! Educate your staff on what the limitations are due to Covid, so regular facial are not a deep clean. There were 2 extractions preformed & I noticed more at home that could've been extracted, but needed a steamer. I was really disappointed with my experience & customer service with a bogus Manager whom I called after my visit to speak to privately & never returned my call. I recently wanted to treat myself to a luxury spa and somewhat new to the area. EVO was highly recommended by a colleague so ended up getting a facial and a massage back to back. The facial was outstanding! My pores are breathing again and my skin is soft, hydrated and rejuvenated. Their facial massage was perfect and the Esthetician was very well informed on skin and health which was refreshing. I also got the deep tissue massage,, and it was Fabulous!!! it absolutely relieved the pain I've had for the past couple months in my upper right shoulder. I am so pleased that I didn't have to run to a chiropractor! Pain is gone!! So Grateful and I am absolutely coming back!!! I came to Evo spa for a facial with Krystiana. I've been seeing Krystiana for years, and would travel anywhere to get an appointment with her! I hadn't had a facial in over a year due to COVID, so I felt extremely lucky that she was available to "work on" my skin. Krystiana is incredibly detail oriented, and intentional with her clients. She has extensive experience, and top-of-the-line training. I've struggled with dry skin and acne due to extended time in chlorine, and she's not only helped my skin through facials -- she's also given me amazing advice for how to protect and heal my skin daily at home. Aside from her expertise as a practitioner, she is also incredibly kind. I leave my appointments feeling renewed and refreshed -- with healthier skin, and higher spirits.
