She was attentive, thorough, checked in with me, and gave me much needed overdue TLC - I was in heaven. Perhaps most concerningly, while most massage places have allowed us to select our masseuse, Ritual prohibits it. I was required to book via a third-party website and there is no option to select your massage therapist. They just assign you someone. If you want a woman for purposes of safety and comfort, too bad, you get who you get. If you book here you will pay $250 (with taxes, tip etc) for a cheap, oily massage, as I did. According to the menu we were handed, things that are normally included in massages - for example, targeting places of pain - are an extra cost "add on," which is absurd. The massage itself was terrible, we were soaked in oil afterwards and so was our clothing. Pants were ruined. This place is a total rip off. Be wary of anyplace that has many 5 star reviews from "new" yelpers who have never written reviews before. They have no actual details or info and may not be legit. P.S. The owner routinely harasses yelpers who write authentic reviews. (There is no rule that reviews have to be from this week. Nor are yelpers required to disclose the time and date of their visit. That's just creepy. The owner would be wise to heed constructive feedback rather than abusing reviewers.) Skip this place.

Not sure if they were employees of the hotel or guests but it stopped after 10 minutes or so. With tight quarters you can't do much about that. The men's locker room was meh, clean, but small and kind of rank smelling like a local YMCA or something. Think that's due to it being so small and having a steam room, there's not great ventilation. Also thought it wasn't good that the urinals were so close to the sinks. Shower pressure not great. Parking is a bit tricky being downtown Sausalito. They give you a free parking pass if you go out and get it. Wish they'd email it to you ahead of time to be more convenient. Overall, it's ok and I may return under the right circumstances but I do prefer a more spacious type of spa with more amenities.

The first time I had been neglecting my skin and healing h in general after suffering two back to back tragedies. All that crying and wallowing in self pity had left my skin irritated and dry. I forgot the exact name of the facial I got that time because it was a couple of months ago, but Ava suggested it after assessing my skin. It was so soothing and uplifting, I felt rejuvenated. That package included massage of the head face and shoulders many steps of cleansing and exfoliation and deep moisturizing. I think that treatment was an hour of more and I felt so at peace that it was hard to stay awake. Finished with a UV light light massager for the scalp with a perfect blow dry. You do wear a wrap sauna style towel, and pull your bra straps off your shoulders.
