I had an incredible first experience here with Coco -- she truly has medicine hands!! I carry intense tension in my neck and shoulders and have been dealing with carpal tunnel, and she instinctively knew where my body was holding pain before I even said a word. I've also been seeing Kevin for full body massage and he has been a godsend to my knots. My husband and I went today for a 90-minute foot reflexology and massage package. It was fantastic. It is such a great value for the price. Definitely recommend giving it a try. We called on a Friday evening and they said they could take us right away, but we weren't quite ready at that time, so we scheduled for Saturday morning instead. The staff were all very nice. Dress comfortably. We kept our clothes on (I think that's expected for this type of reflexology and massage, but I'm not positive). I wore my every-day mom uniform of leggings (that I could pull up over my knees) and a tank top. My husband wore his every-day dad uniform of shorts and a button-up short-sleeve shirt. What to expect: They brought us to a private room with two beds, so we were together. The room had a relaxing atmosphere, dimly lit, with some soft music playing. You'll lay on your back on a low-to-the-ground bed. They'll cover you up with a blanket or towel and make sure you're comfy. You'll and soak your feet while they massage your head, neck, and arms for 10 minutes (maybe longer). Then they'll move on to the foot-reflexology for about 50 minutes and also massage your legs a bit. You'll turn over onto your tummy and they'll spend about 30 minutes massaging the back of your head, your neck, back, hips, and legs. Helen and Kevin both had strong hands and really did a deep massage (how I like/need it), but would happily do a lighter massage if you prefer that. They both checked in to be sure the pressure was ok. It was very professional and felt great. We got a discount via Groupon, but I tipped 20% based on the full price. This place is a find! Clean, quiet, well-managed, and a genuine bargain. After my wife and I had our first massages here we immediately bought a package for more. So far we have been worked on by three of the people there: Julia, Kevin, and Coco. My wife was very happy with her two folks, and I am pleased and impressed by the sessions I've had with Julia. It's Chinese-style massage, meaning deep tissue, "find the knots and pulverize them." She is an acupuncturist as well as a massage therapist, and has very powerful hands, literally and figuratively. You get a real work-over here, and for me it was great: some of it was maybe not super-comfortable in the moment, but for days afterwards, I felt looser and more energetic, and my chronic aches and pains were much diminished. She was also acting rushed. Like she was painting a wall real fast. I stopped the massage like 10minutes in and had to pay $30. So sad. My husband and I decided we wanted to go to last minute massage and were able to get in very quickly (within 45 min) for a couples massage. From the outside we were a little unsure if it was the vibe we were looking for however, once we opened the door, it was very nice, clean and welcoming. We both got 90 minute massages and let me tell you, they were intense but amazing. Helen incorporated acupressure to my feet to help work out all the knots, painful at times yes but did the trick! My husband had Lucy and she did a good job to work out the kink in his neck along with a nice strong massage. Lastly the price - $98 for 90 minutes was an awesome deal. He delivered consistent deep pressure while slowly working through tension and it was magical. And their prices are insane.
