I had an excellent chair massage here! Had no idea it was here, very convenient location, even if it is in an old dead mall. The prices are great. The massage was fantastic, even better than some high-end luxury spa massages I've had. Very nice gentlemen masseuse. It was also very clean which I appreciated. My only three points of feedback are that they could use some nice ambiance music or a tranquil fountain to help the soundscape. The mall noise can get a little loud and distracting, video game machines, jumpy house during the evenings, kids, etc. They could close the door and add some air purifiers. Second thing is, while no oils were used, a scent was still left on me and my clothes, I don't like fragrances, so be sure to not wear clothes you don't want to have a scent left on. Ideally it would be scent free. Last thing is, I'm not sure they have any running water for a sink in the location, so while it was very clean and I think they have sanitizer, I'm not sure they can properly wash their hands between clients, etc. read more

So I bought an EV car to basically take my savings and get their chair massage while my car is charging. I admit, I'm spending way more than my savings - it is SO worth it! Outside of the noise from people passing by in this inside mall, the massage will put you into a level of relaxation that nothing bothers you. This is a husband and wife time, both are excellent. I tend to doze off, drool and welp out a snore - that good! They do tend to have waiting times, my suggestion is to stay put waiting. But when he started the massage... wow he knows exactly what he's doing. My husband and I have been coming for deep tissue massages with Mark and Amy for years. It's covered by our FSA plans and helps to get the knots out of our necks and backs. The only problem was that it was next to the children's play area and the movie theaters, in an open space. Now, they have their own shop in the mall so I am going to be going at least once a week. This is not Swedish massage, but instead more of a sports massage with the option for deep tissue. Just communicate what you need and they will take care of you. Frankly, Deep Serenity is THE only reason I visit Northgate Mall from San Anselmo...and a deeply (see what I did there?) rewarding one. No reservations, but I've never waited for more than 15 minutes, which works for me even when there isn't a single business there that interests me! If you're willing to either ignore your surroundings or, like me, relish the kitschiness of it all - the rich aroma of theater popcorn and occasional laughter of children - you may, as I have, discover something quite wonderful. I recently fractured my foot and have been wearing a orthopedic boot which quickly messed up my back due to lugging that thing around like a ball and chain and being out of alignment. I was also restricted to seated duty at work, and I am not used to being in front of a computer for 8 hours a day, so my shoulders were like bricks. A quick consult with a friend and Yelp for chair massage-current location, lead me here. There is nothing zen about this kiosk. You will literally be getting massaged in the middle of the mall, next to the food court and a bunch of kids running around and screaming, and several loud entertainment options for the kids. But if you need repair, this is the place. My masseuse was the woman of the couple. She was very strong and really rubbed the knots and kinks out with such gusto. Thirty dollars for thirty minutes made me a much more highly functioning person that I was when I entered. A very able massage therapist from this business came to my home, last week, to give me a half-hour massage, when I had a painful crick in my neck that a full-body massage had not worked out. A day after this chair massage from the Deep Serenity therapist, the crick was completely gone. I highly recommend this business. This massage kiosk is amazing!! I feel better after 30 minutes chair or table massage here for $30 to $35 than I do after an hour at a spa. The women has a gentler healing touch but still gets the knots out. The man does deeper work and it's very effective. They are both kind and very courteous and sweet. They cover you with a blanket - which is comforting as its a kiosk. I don't mind the noisy kids games right next door but if you are sensitive to that it may bother you. Open mall location is casual and quick. Just plop down and let them dig in. I swear they know what they are doing. I have had chronic lower back pains which goes away for weeks after their magic. Sometimes it hurts, but I believe no pain no gain. I'm a big guy and either the lady or the guy are strong and I don't even know how they can muster so much strength all day like that. Bottom line is I have gone back several times and I always feel better for weeks after the $18 15 minute or $22 25 minute. Pretty Good deal. read more
