I feel grateful that I've found such a great massage therapist. Ron is super-skilled; I'm in graduate school for acupuncture and I'm very aware of his skill with the musculoskeletal system. In addition, he is intuitive and very aware of when the body has tension or pain that needs attention, pressure, or stretching. I highly and unreservedly recommend Ron. He's a true professional, and I learned he was awarded 2019 Best Massage Therapist by a major Santa Rosa business group for the fifth year. read more

Master masseur. Brings years of professional experience and craft in multiple modalities to the massage table. Intuitive to client needs.

Soft Bodies I write that because I think he must be excellent at working on people with softer bodies - or that want a less intense massage. I'm a big man so I wrote him before I booked to see if he could handle a bigger guy and he wrote back saying yes. I went there a little early because you usually have to fill out paper work and then sometimes miss some of your time. No paper work to fill out so I may have gotten there too soon for him. I got on his table which is the best table in the business. This isn't a rickey wooden slat table - it's a machine for professionals. It was really nice to lie down and know that it wasn't fragile in any way. So he starts the first 20 minutes with a Flowbee type machine - it was okay, didn't do much for me. I guess it's a warm up. Seemed like maybe his hands were tired and this was a way to not work them. I specifically asked for him to work on my shoulders, neck, head, and on my left hamstring. None of that was focused on - maybe that's why some places have you fill out paperwork. It was a good massage - just didn't cover the areas that I really needed worked on. I'm a big guy and I swim 2/12 to 3 miles a week - that's a lot of shoulders. So after all of it I didn't feel worked or dug into or like anything was different. Maybe after you develop a relationship and he delivers on more specifics. The moral of the story is - it's a good overall massage on a great table. read more

If you are looking for a professional, expert massage experience, I highly recommend Quiet Massage. It's clear that Ron is knowledgeable and skilled, and he is very responsive to any current physical issues you may be having. I've had the opportunity to experience massages in Europe and in Japan, as well as with different massage therapists in the Bay Area, and I can say without hesitation that Ron is at the top of my list! read more

I don't understand. Why isn't this guy rated higher?! He is easily one of the best masseurs I've ever met (and I've lived all over California). Hands down the best massage I've had up here in the North Bay. Incredible massage, amazing price, easy appointments -- this one's a definite hidden gem. I'm going to keep coming back. read more

Ron is an excellent massage therapist. I always leave his studio feeling more relaxed than when I arrived. He has a kind, warm energy and he is truly gifted when it comes to the art and science of massage. His website is informative and easy to navigate. The studio is always immaculate, which is particularly comforting during this pandemic. I recommend him highly. read more

I got manscaping done and It was amazing i felt very comfortable while he did it, The room wasn't cold he did and amazing job as well as a massage that was amazing best massage i've ever had. I've had several massages in the past. Some with men, some with women - all of them varying in style, pressure and personal technique. I can safely say that after only one massage, Ron is the best massage therapist I have ever been to. I asked for a deep tissue massage and we discussed the areas that needed the most attention prior to my visit. The pressure he used was perfect and I loved every minute of that 90 minute massage. This was my first experience going to someone's home to get a massage, but I knew based on the many glowing reviews I read, that he was professional and had a welcoming environment. Ron's home and massage space is clean, comfortable and well put together. There was a feeling of ease when I walked through his door and was greeted by his two adorable cats and a kind hand shake from him. Ron offers other services besides massage, and you can only schedule online, which I find really convenient. I can't wait to get another amazing massage, and next time I'll treat myself to a facial, too. Thanks Ron! read more

As a woman, I felt a little weird about going to someone's home for a massage. I've watched too many scary movies, so as I was driving over there I was running through scenarios in my head and thinking "Is this how I die?" I was nervous walking up and knocking on Ron's door, but as soon as I saw him I could tell he was the real deal. He has a kind, professional demeanor and a very calm presence. My next pleasant surprise was the massage room. Cozy and quiet, with a nice massage table and all the supplies you'd expect in a massage studio - lotions and potions (I don't know a lot about massage supplies, sorry), everything arranged neatly. There was soft, tasteful music playing, the lighting was turned down, and there was even a free bottle of water and a thank-you mint laid out nicely for me! The massage was great. Ron managed to work through a lot of the neck and shoulder tension that had been bothering me. I appreciated the fact that he started out gently and gave my muscles a chance to warm up before working into the deeper knots. (I've been to reflexology places where they attacked my sore spots ferociously and left me feeling more sore than when I came in.) This was a positive and professional massage experience. I will be going back again in the future. Thanks Ron! read more

There's a reason Ron is scored so highly on here, he was amazing! I took my boyfriend later the same day and we both agreed it was the best massage we've had. Ron is professional and calming. He works out of his apartment but the room is nicer than most massage places and the table is super comfortable. He could read my body pretty well and knew what type of pressure to use. It didn't hurt at all (unlike so many massages I've gotten!) an I feel so much more relaxed. My boyfriend said he fell asleep on the table a few times. The prices are really good for what you get. Especially the introductory rates. It's easy to sign up online and he is available often. I'm going back soon. You should really try it! read more

The best massage I have ever had! I found Ron and Quiet Massage through yelp and I am so happy that I did. I woke up this morning desperate for a massage and knew my only option was to get one this morning or else have to wait til the weekend. So I started searching through the site hoping to find someone reasonably priced with a last minute morning appointment available. I read through other reviews on here which all sounded really awesome so I went to the website and was pleased to learn that I could book an appointment online! It was almost 9am and I was able to book a same day 10:30 appt. i received an e-mail confirmation from Ron with directions within a few minutes. Quiet Massage is based out of Ron's home which I felt made for a much more relaxing environment. He is very professional and has a very calming demeanor. I never felt rushed which was nice. I work in a kitchen and stand on my feet for 8-14 hours a day so I had a lot of shoulder and neck kinks to work out. He really took the time to work on problem spots and used a good amount of pressure to relieve that tension while still giving an enjoyable massage. It was truly wonderful and I will definitely be going back as well as telling all my friends. read more

This guy is very rude. He just cancels your appointment without any reason or attempt to reschedule. He won't respond to your emails. Don't waste your time with this jerk. He needs to go to business school and learn a thing or two about customer service and just normal business techniques. Just go to Massage Envy or some local place, it will be much more affordable! Plus, you'll actually get a back massage! Ok, this is an amendment to the original review. A response to Ron's reply. Everyone needs to know that what you are saying in response to my review is not accurate. I did not receive any confirmation emails for the appointment. Your site says once the client picks and registers an appointment, you send out a confirmation email. You never did. The only one I rec'd was the cancellation for the very first attempt at an appointment. And yes, I did check both email accounts and the spam folder. The confirmation emails are/ were not there. You are not taking responsibility for your mistakes. Do not try to make me look like the bad guy. read more

After a thorough review of Yelp and the Quiet Massage website, I decided to book an appointment. As expected, booking was simple and straight forward. I immediately received an auto response confirming my appointment. Within the body of the email read: ** To complete your appointment, please email back within 24 hours to let me know you received this email with the address. The next day, to my surprise, I received an email notifying me that my appointment had been canceled. I immediately replied to confirm my appointment. I was told it was "too little, too late" and that my appointment had been cancelled. Admittedly, I could have been more timely in confirming receipt of the appointment confirmation but technically, I was still within the 24 hour window. I was shocked to receive such a curt response. My experience was far from what I expected based on stellar reviews and testimonials. I am extremely disappointed. read more

Ron is amazing. His spa retreat is a hidden gem in Santa Rosa. Look no further. He could easily charge 50% more for his work. He offers a full line of luxury and therapeutic services. As a former sports massage therapist I am very particular about massage. It's rare that I go back twice. There are too many people in the business who are not professionals. It takes a great deal of work to combine business savvy and the art of massage. Ron has done it. You are treated by a professional artist/therapist when you are in his studio. The Ashiatsu massage is incredible. Deep but not painful. The perfect combination of deep tissue and Swedish. His online booking is very simple. His YouTube videos are thorough and informative. His prices are unbeatable. Don't pass this up. Book an appointment now. read more

First I will say that seeing only one other female reviewer put me off a little bit but I'm so glad that I went to Ron. He was incredibly professional and really worked out the stiffness I was feeling. His apartment was a tad difficult to find but once I got there I was pleasantly greeted by his cat Missy (i think?) she was adorable and very friendly. (Kept guard over my shoes while I had my massage!) I digress, Ron made sure that I was completely comfortable and that the pressure wasn't too much I also tried Ashiatsu which was very interesting indeed definitely watch his video before doing it so you know what you're in for! On a side note I would suggest that if this is your first massage, try something else first. Ron was great, but better for someone that gets massages regularly. I felt more exposed in this massage than I have in others and this is NOT a bad thing because he was able to work out more kinks, but I could see someone who goes here as their first massage feeling a little uncomfortable. I will be returning! Thank you Ron! read more

Great massage - my go to place in Santa Rosa. Friendly professional clean a solid fair pricing.

I've been getting massages from Ron for the last 2 years. He's very skilled and very professional. He's always ready when i get there and he really listens to what I need. I've had massages lots of places - Ron is fantastic! read more

It was pleasantly surprised and fortunate to have found Ron here in Santa Rosa. Although I have yet to book him for a massage, based on the reviews I've read, I can report that his high degree of conscientiousness carries over to his skills in waxing. Without getting into gory detail, the "Boyzilians" I've gotten over the years have been of uneven quality, but as the options are far more limited for us men, I have to live with whatever I can get. With Ron, I have had some of the best results I've ever gotten anywhere. If it can ever be said that one can be excited to get a wax, I would say so for my appointments with him! read more

If you're looking for an escape from the daily grind this is the place to venture. Ron is extremely talented and affordable. His massage will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated. A very comfortable massage table and tranquil music will help you on your journey to complete relaxation. I live in Novato, but it's worth the drive. read more

My first massage of the new year was with Ron. I am a professional who is on his feet all day and using my body in repetitive motions. Ron has a very professional demeanor and I agree with other reviewers that his space is much nicer than some spas I have been to. The massage was very thorough. I suffer from very stiff shoulders and hips. Ron was able to identify the areas and spent extra time smoothing out the rough spots so to speak. His prices are incredibly reasonable and his online scheduling is a big plus for me. I have yet to fully check out his website but I know he has a bunch of videos on his services. Overall I would say that I am impressed by Ron and that I will be using him again. read more

This guy has it figured out: Immaculate, peaceful space/environment; top-notch products; varied range of reasonably priced services; and true expertise. I do not live in the area, but come here monthly. As soon as I leave L.A., I go to the easy to book mobile website to browse click, and even pre-pay. Within minutes of arrival, the stress from an 8-hour drive & my sore aching muscles become history. I always leave Quiet Massage, relaxed, renewed and ready to take on the world. Tried to book with this agency in 2011 but he was rude taking forever to respond. First he said he was not doing massages at that time. Later when I saw he was booking two months later I wrote again as I was interested in the stretching. He informed me that he could not accommodate me. He told me to find someone else. I think it is weight related! It was very rudely handled. read more

Just had my 2nd massage with Ron today, it was excellent as was the 1st. His massage room, in his home, is professional and well equipped as well as very calm, quiet and welcoming. His demeanor is caring and also very professional. The first time I went my back was hurting a lot from moving and lifting a lot of boxes, etc. - it felt much better after. Today was more about relaxation although I always have tight spots in my neck and shoulders. Again, I felt much better afterward and found the massage experience itself very relaxing and soothing. I highly recommend Ron and Quiet Massage. read more

When you seek a massage as part of your physical healing process, you need someone who listens and skilled to help you move forward on your path to recovery. Ron was attentive and very skilled. Ron's personality, care, and skill is amazing. I've received both Swedish and Thai massage on several occasions from Ron. His space is set up very well and comforting. He creates a beautifully relaxing environment. I definitely recommend! read more

Ron was fantastic - easily one of the best massages I ever got and at a very reasonable rate. He works the entire body and is attentive to your needs. I told him I had issues with my neck due to my pillow and sometimes gets cramps in my legs, and sure enough he worked on them until they were loosened. He even did a sample of the ashiatsu massage, which is perfect for folks who need deep tissue work - the pressure of his feet is amazing. You can spend easily twice as much at a froo-froo place that will serve you cucumber water, but at the end of the day, you are looking for a good massage, and Ron is as good as they come. I look forward to going back. read more

I've been going to Ron now for a little over two years. I drive all the way from Napa to see Ron, as I believe when you find a great Therapist, stick with them. Ron is one of the most kindest most knowledgeable Therapists I know. I am a Massage Therapist as well, and have had many through the years, however as long as Ron is around, he's the one. Thanks Ron for keeping me going in my work. read more

I had my first Awesome massage by Ron today. I can not say enough good things, from his professionalism to his firm yet gentle touch. Just had my second session with Ron today. I had a 90 minute massage with a sampling of Ashiatsu the first session and I was wowed. I'm Asian and I could say he is at par with Asian masseurs in terms of technique and skill. I was so impressed I went back today for the 60 minute facial plus 60 minute massage. I was so relaxed I wanted to sleep. The facial was just awesome. His hands are very gentle and I felt like my skin is glowing after. Part of the facial package involves your hands and feet moisturized and covered with heating sleeves, it will feel like you are floating on clouds. If you are looking for a professional massage that can address your tense muscles and can provide relaxation then Ron is the guy. I'll probably try the back scrub with massage the next time I go back. :-) read more

Ron is WONDERFUL! Yesterday I was near tears from pain due to a nagging shoulder injury. I needed to find relief right away. (That's what I get for not getting my monthly massage). I researched some nearby massage therapists and came across Ron through Yelp and saw the many positive reviews.. So I thought, why not?! He has an online scheduling system so I was able to book an appointment the very next day. I also reviewed his website and was able to see the different specialties and services he offered. I was thankful to see he has deep tissue as a specialty. I arrived early, and Ron was very warm and welcoming. The massage room is great! Plenty of room to put my things, and he even had a cold water bottle and a mint all set up for me on the table for after the appointment. It also appeared that he had some snacks as well. We briefly talked about what style of massage I enjoy and need then made some recommendations based on my injuries. I appreciate his style of massage. It started off nice and easy and gradually increased pressure to the "hurts so good" knot-digging pressure. Before the massage he had offered ashiatsu method of massage, and mentioned the pressure would most likely work best for my needs. I had never done it before but I was very curious. He gave me a little bit of ashiatsu and I was very glad I agreed to try it out. He constantly checks on you to make sure the pressure is ok (but not so much so that it becomes annoying) and to verbally tell me what he's going to do next so there are no surprises. I was comfortable during the massage, and completely relaxed when he was done. It was a fantastic massage and I never wanted it to end! Safe to say my mood has completely changed, as I am more relaxed and relieved of pain!! Yay!! Highly recommended and not extremely expensive. Check out his website and watch some of the videos he has! Very informative. Make sure you see Ron for your next massage, you won't regret it! read more

For years my back has felt like cement. I've gone to multiple massage places and multiple people. NONE of them compare to to the work Ron does. I usually try to get a massage monthly, but have put it off for a couple months since the last few I had were No where near enjoyable or peaceful. Finally I decided to look at a few places and reviews on yelp and came across Quiet Massage. I took my chance to try yet another place but so grateful that I did. Walking out I felt nothing but a relaxed body at peace. I will definitely be going back and referring others. Outstanding work Ron! read more
