Very disappointing experience. I chose this spa for my friend's birthday and had high expectations based on the online reviews. We all booked the same treatment but our experiences couldn't have been more different. My massage therapist did the bare minimum and barely communicated before & during the treatment (besides a " hello " & a prompt to choose an oil). When I voiced my concerns afterwards I was quickly and rudely dismissed by the manager. I left feeling more stressed and frustrated than when I arrived. We all need a little chill in our lives so I thought I would get a massage. I've walked passed this place many times and it looks like a store. You would never know it opens up into a chic spa. I would say the appointment process was simple. I didn't have a menu but instead I was described what was offered for the days I would be available. I must have misunderstood because I thought I was getting a massage with the "quiet mind" option. I arrived for my appointment and was escorted to the locker room to get changed. It's a beautiful space with warm tones of color and dim lights. I loved that I was the only person using the space and felt comfortable. I waited in a comfortable seating area until my service. I met Miriam and she walked me to the treatment room. It was a comfortable room but I couldn't relax because I could hear chatter coming from another space the entire treatment. I also was annoyed that the treatment was mostly me laying on the table with acupuncture needles on my feet and oil dripping down my head for $180. I didn't get a massage. This is in no reflecting of Miriam and her service. So while the space is nice, the menu prices seem pretentious for the service. I don't think I will return again but I'm glad to have tried it. read more

I had the most incredible 2 hour treatment today with Monica, simply perfect! It was a combined full body skin care enzyme peel & a lymphatic flow and detox. I highly recommend it - so relaxing, grounding, nourishing, it really felt decadent treating myself to it (bday gift gc) and Monica is excellent at her craft. I never would have treated myself to either of the treatments (vs a deep tissue massage) but given it was gift card, I went ahead and tried it and now would do it again in the future! read more

I have been coming to Resonance for facials for about 5 months and I highly recommend! The atmosphere is so relaxing and so aesthetically pleasing. They have their own line of all natural skin care products and I have loved every product I have purchased. 90% of my products are now Inbar+Co. I have been having facials very consistently for the last 20 years and have to say my facials with Amber are by far the best I have had. Everyone at Resonance is so helpful and kind. My girlfriend is celebrating her birthday and what better way to enjoy the day...use leave from work, relax at the spa, and let them massage all the stress out :) It was easy to book our reservation and they are consistently checking by text and email to ensure you are vaccinated and not feeling sick before the appointment. We were lucky to find parking right at their front door and we were warmly welcomed as they verified our VAX cards. We were escorted to the locker room and provided with robes and spa slippers. Upon changing, we sat in the lounge, and was served warm hibiscus tea. Naturally the lights were dim and the instrumental music put us in the mood. I requested the Lymphatic Flow Detox with herb oil and was escorted to my room. The heated massage table felt so comfy and as you lay there, you also feel the resonating vibes to help balance your inner energy. Then the magic! I have to say when the sound bell went off I was skeptical but I got a gift certificate for my birthday and gave it a try. This place is an OASIS. You don't even realize because it's on somewhat busy street in Corte Madera but when you go through the door, you are literally transformed into this beautiful and Zen oasis. I had the 60 minute facial with Amelie and she was amazing starting with the cleansing and then the extractions and oxygen facial and then red light. While other things were going on she multitasked with the most amazing shoulder, chest arm and hand massages. I am literally transformed. I have only had more clinical or medical facials in the past, but this is east and west combined. This place is amazing. I will be going back. read more

We just went as a family of 4 on Saturday. My 2 teens had a birthday planned there but due to Omicron~their friends couldn't come and really the family version turned out nice. We were able to sort of go through Spa etiquette with them and that was kind of a nice milestone. We had 2 massages and 2 Body Wrap/Scrubs and 4 of us alternating from 2 in Treatment to Sauna & Sauna to treatment. My husband and I had nice one on one time with each kid. At the end, the Spa Owner, Gia offered us all complimentary Acupuncture in their Sound Therapy Room! (They were showing us how they are offering Group Acupuncture now~pretty cool!) So nice. (lounging on these heated crystal pads!) so relaxing! My kids were nervous about needles in their face, but they went for it & we got to experience them trying this for their first time, which added to the "special-ness" to this Birthday flipped upside down~for another year! I had thoroughly researched what their new protocol was, which is no more nuts and snacks in the lounge area, edited products available-No trying new products, fewer treatments at a time=fewer people you'll pass. We opted to Add the Sauna time (45min option) so that we'd have a private Sauna room~within a Private Room to retreat to and breathe while we waited for.. or post treatment. There was Water and Glasses at the counter & Cold Towels in a mini fridge for us. The staff is standing by to clean wherever anyone goes, which goes to show how much they are protecting the customers, staff and their business. AND Everyone is properly masked everywhere, ALL the Time. This is where I will continue to give my business as I appreciate how thoughtful and relaxing this little hide away is in Marin. I got a great massage from Donna. The table had a heated pad on it plus a lumbar for my ankles (faced down), My favorite part was a hot wet towel inside of a hot dry towel at the back of my neck, which was stiff~felt like a little ember burning and relaxing my neck, it worked! So many little details that she does that I appreciate~ and different each time I have had her. My kids did the scrub/wrap and wanted me to pet their skin afterwards, LOL, but their skin was SO SOFT! Their facials and red light infrared sauna are incredible, and I love that they use their own ethical, vegan, and sustainable skincare line--reducing plastic packaging and their environmental footprint. I bought their serum, and it's become my holy grail for glowing skin. Plus, their relaxation room with heated nap beds leaves me feeling deeply relaxed every time. It's an OK day spa - but for around the same price you can get a lot more elsewhere. The massage I got wasn't anything to write home about, pretty run of the mill technique, a little too heavy on the oils for my taste. For other Marin spa goers, this is kind of like International Orange's darker themed equivalent, maybe a notch better in terms of massage quality. What I did like was the treatment room, it was a good size, dark, good airflow, and very quiet. The music is also some of the best I've heard, very zen spa, nothing too piano bar or jazzy which I don't like. The waiting area is nice, chill, nothing too wild. The place was very clean. What I didn't like was the locker room (men's). Nice look with copper fixtures and nice tile but very small, one urinal that hardly fits is extremely close to the lockers and sinks (I was worried about backsplash), no privacy. There was no hand soap at the sinks. Wouldn't really want to shower here. I didn't love all the oils, which I guess they make in-house, that were used on me. Some lasted too long. And there was a subtle push/upsell for me to purchase them, or a pack of treatments. The cost. Sorry but it's a day spa, not a luxury resort spa that offers other amenities like pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, sauna, spaces to lounge with drinks and snacks, etc. You get almost none of that here. This is a come and go type of spa. Unless the cost comes down, I don't see myself returning soon unfortunately. The value isn't there. read more

Had a wonderful experience at Resonance Marin yesterday. I used a gift certificate my son had given me for mothers day and wasn't sure what to expect. It is a very clean, calming and relaxing environment. Very nice! I had a 90 minute massage. My massage therapist was Colleen and she was professional, experienced and a very skilled practitioner. I have some long existing issues with my shoulder/neck area and she was able to help identify some things that could be helpful and was able treat those areas as well. What a bummer. Bought a package of 15 infrared sauna sessions. I used 10 of them, then Covid happened and I lived with an immunocompromised person so I was being very careful. Came back to finish my last five sessions and was told that even in the midst of a global pandemic the package "expired" and that they would not honor the remaining sessions. Couple hundred dollars just down the drain. Unethical and very disappointing. Lovely facility other than that. read more

I have come here several times mostly for facials but have also used the sauna and gotten a massage. I highly recommend Amylly for a facial. She is very kind and very through in her examination of my skin and determining what I need. They sell local products which Amylly usually recommends a product or two every time but is never pushy with trying to sell their products. The atmosphere in the spa is wonderful and they usually offer tea or water upon arrival. It is quite pricey but has competitive prices compared with similar spas in Marin. They do offer packages for some of there services. read more

This may have been the best massage I've ever had (and I don't type the word "best" very often). This wasn't just a rejuvenating experience. It was borderline transcendental. After a long, toxic holiday season, I felt pretty tight and knotted up. I definitely needed to decompress and loosen up before tackling the new year. Thank God for Resonance Spa & Wellness Center. I don't get many massages. And when I do, it's usually up in wine country (in a spa, hotel, etc.). But what I love about Resonance is that it's literally in my backyard. So no long road trips or crazy spa pricing geared at tourists. My massage therapist was a guy named Adam. This dude knows his stuff. He focused on all my sore spots, and wasn't afraid to really dig in to work out all my body's kinks. He also used some CBD cream to help with the healing. He was very communicative with me (but not too talkative), and he always made sure I was comfortable. Needless to say, I felt like I was in good hands (pun intended). 60 minutes later, I felt like a new and more relaxed man. If you're in need of some R & R or a body & tune-up, I highly recommend Resonance Spa & Wellness Center. They're rocking a 5-star Yelp rating for a reason. read more

I have become a regular at Resonance since right before they opened. With an extremely busy schedule and stressful job in technology I am thrilled to have found the Infrared Sauna with microsalt and LED color light therapy as my little hideaway from the world! It's an hour of love to my body and soul! I have also recently discovered the Celluma LED Mini-Facial, which I love to pieces. Who wouldn't love a mini-facial and a 30 minute nap on a super-cozy massage bed all targeted at anti-aging, detox and beating those fine lines and wrinkles! Of course I love that the products at Resonance are all holistic and plant-based, so my skin is very happy there too! I have read some of the reviews here and I am a testament to say it is clear Gia (the owner) is also listening! Since my last and first appointment, I took right away another appointment for exactly the same service : sauna plus meridian massage . 1) few days later I called, cancel my appointment and push it back to 2 weeks later because I was going to Tahoe. Everything seems fine until now , few days later I receive an email that the spa resonance is charging me because I missed my appointment. What ?!!! I made sure to call more than a week before my appointment and I did the cancellation on the phone and everything seems fine! So I called and say : hey you just charge me for an appointment that I didn't miss because I called you few weeks ago to cancel and push back. The response: oh I'm very sorry that is strange I do not see your cancellation but we will refund you. Better but fews days later .. another email from resonance spa : confirm your appointment for the meridian massage, I confirm but I call and say : hey I do not see the sauna , I took an appointment for the sauna and the meridian massage. The response was brief and rude : yes you are in the sauna just before your massage bye ! ( I didn't have time to say goodbye or anything else it was incredibly rude but I decided to let it go ) Today ! 48h before my appointment, I received AGAIN an email about my meridian message but not the sauna. At this point I just can't believe it, I call and again very nicely I say : hi I noticed my appointment for the meridian but I do not see the sauna. The hostess: mm I do not see you for the sauna . Like what ??? You are not serious I had many issue to set up just an appointment with you for few weeks now and asked many times for the sauna before the massage, her response: well I'm sorry we already have someone for the sauna before. We will cancel your appointment then. Am I wrong or this is a big joke ? She didn't apologize for this incredible mess that I'm dealing with them for a month . Did I do something wrong to deserve that im very confuse , they are rude ( beside one person was nice ) organization: ZERO, rudeness: 10. Really disappointing! I'm bummed that I didn't have the same great experience that everyone else seems to have had. I was expecting more going into it, and I was hoping that this would be a comparable replacement for the ol' Stellar Spa that I loved so much. I had a sauna session booked followed by a facial with Gabe (who was WONDERFUL--the low rating is not a reflection of him), and I was super excited to relax and refresh after work. When I went in, the woman at the front desk gave me two clipboards with things to sign for both the sauna disclosures and the standard facial stuff. Then she told me to get settled in the little waiting area and that someone would come get me. When I made the appointment, the idea was that I would do the sauna and then have time to shower before my facial, but I waited and waited in the lounge area and still no one had come to grab me for the sauna. Finally I went back into the locker room to look at my phone (I was TRYING to unplug) and see what time it was, and I was already fifteen minutes past my sauna appointment time, so I went back out to the front to check in with the woman. She said that she didn't realize I was going in the sauna (even though she gave me the forms for it and I was there an hour before my facial was scheduled) and then rushed to get it ready. At this point I was starting a 25 minute sauna session 30 minutes before my facial appointment, so I was feeling a bit stressed about timing. I went in and it wasn't even hot yet. In reading the other reviews of people who have used the sauna, it sounds like my experience was very different. I didn't realize you could change the color of the lights, and a part of me thought that maybe it wasn't supposed to be that hot...? I've only been in regular saunas, not infrared ones, so I didn't really know what to expect. Now I realize that it probably just wasn't given enough time to heat up, and I wasn't given any guidance on how to use/enjoy it. The facial was good. I really did love Gabe, but I didn't feel like the products were anything life-changing. I was also bummed that they didn't do extractions but rather blasted my face with medical-grade oxygen (ummmm.... who cares?). To be honest, it all seemed a bit gimmicky. As I was leaving, I really did need a new serum and a new cleanser, so I bought one of each that they recommended. I do love the gentle cleanser (which they do not make), but the serum that they made in house is not good--at least not for me. I broke out in the days following my appointment and thought that my skin was just adjusting, but now it's been two weeks and I still have pimples on my forehead, some dry skin on my cheeks, and, strangely, some clogged pores around where my cheekbones meet my hairline (something I've never had before), so I'm not going to use it anymore. I have emailed them to see if they'll let me return it, and we'll see what they come back with. Over all, I don't think I'll go back, which is disappointing because I really thought they'd be a replacement for Stellar in more ways than just location! It seemed like they were just too unorganized, and frankly I'm surprised that they charged me for the sauna. Looking back and knowing what my experience was SUPPOSED to be like, I really should have said I wasn't paying for it, but I didn't want to be difficult. The products also were just not up to what I've come to expect from a nice day spa. My skin wasn't glowing the next day, and I couldn't really see any change or improvement. They seem to pride themselves in having everything be natural/organic/CBD-based, but if it doesn't work, what's the point?! A solid meh. read more

Was here for an event recently and I have to say, I was impressed by the staff and the beautiful space upon entering the room. Tons of products available to sample and the staff were all very friendly and eager to share their knowledge with me. I appreciate someone taking the time to explain what they do and how it is beneficial to my health. Got to "sample" their offerings from hydrofacials, to massage, acupuncture and skin care. This spa offers several services including ones I had not even heard of before, Microsalt! Cupping! Sensory Immersions!? Woohoo, I can't wait to go back and indulge in a full service at Resonance. Overpriced. All that is offered in the waiting room is water - no tea, no snacks and no ambiance - yet they price themselves like a fancy spa. There is no steam room or other amenities. I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage for what I was told would be a "very deep tissue" massage, but got about 80% very light pressure and 10% deep pressure with Kelsey's elbows. The remainder was wasted time/nothing. Kelsey is very kind and friendly, but it was not worth the price paid for the experience or massage. read more

Sadly this place engages in pressured "tip shaming" asking the customer out loud at the register with others standing in line, "what would you like to do for the gratuity" in order (of course) to ensure the max tip is given.
