The Best !!! Sophia's amazing I've had a bad shoulder and she worked her magic and really got the knots out ! Thank you

I woke up and felt a strain in my neck. I called Kinnaree Thai Massage and was able to get a session same-day. I was texted all the information I needed and price was confirmed. A cash discount was a bonus for me. $125 for a hour and half massage. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. It's tucked to the back of the Mill Valley shopping plaza. I parked near the post office and walked over. It's located upstairs in Suite E of the complex. The space is clean with three spaces for massages separated by curtains and a floor mat that you lay on. Honestly, it was comfortable and mostly quiet. Halfway through my massage, someone walked-in for their appointment. There was a little noise but it didn't kill my vibe. I was given a top and pants to wear for the massage. No big deal as it was comfortable and made the assisted stretching less awkward. My sore spots were worked on as well as some tight spots on my back. I opted out of the back walking, but you go for it if that's your thing. If you need a massage at an affordable price, give this a try. Don't forget to tip these hard workers. read more

Kinnaree Thai Massage - Thai massage - Massage Near Me - Mill Valley, California

We were looking for a couples massage after a hike and this was nearby our hotel so we decided to try it. We were the last customers for the day and they quoted $150 over the phone. Don't feel it was very sanitary as the cloth was slightly wet on the side before I used it but I just moved it out of the way instead of making a fuss. During the massage, the masseuse started slightly late and were chatting loudly and laughing throughout (no relaxation at all). She did not realize she was stepping on my bare hand and shoulders, I could feel her foot brush past my cheek when she was massaging my shoulders with her foot as the cloth had slipped away and she was distracted chatting to realize. The overall massage was average but I couldn't relax because of the noise and lack of sanitary condition. Worse thing was at the end they said the price was for cash only and quoted 165. My husband paid with a usual 15% tip and they demanded for more and said minimum was 20%. This is my first time in America I have seen someone openly demanding for a tip even after giving the basic. It's not an entitlement and considering the poor experience I did not even want to leave a tip at first. Horrible experience and tbh for this price would have gotten service 10x better in Thailand. Try at your own risk. read more

Post construction injury , I discovered and have been returning here for deep tissue therapy since 2015. Each therapist has a unique skillset, and if you get a 2 hour session, you will never get anything but a 2 hour session. These ladies are amazing. read more

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great massage . Today, I had a wonderful massage with nice lady. She made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire massage by checking in with me on pressure and heat levels. I really liked how they offered a professional recommendation at the end of the massage on posture and relaxation methods. The check in process was smooth and friendly. I would definitely revisit! read more

Dao and Elsa just gave myself and my friend, perhaps the best massage of my life. It wasn't just reaching, but also therapeutic. She put me in positions I didn't even know I could be in and stretched out my muscles in ways that I definitely needed. This was in addition to a beautiful atmosphere and very relaxing music. Highly recommend. read more

Great massage from a really strong masseuse. Coming from the east bay it's a pretty short trip across the Richmond San Rafael bridge (depending on traffic through Emeryville). Sonia has a lot of stength but I hear good things about others as well from friends. Recommended! read more

Just the best Thai massage in the Bay Area!!!! My wife and I have been going here every year for special occasions and get the couples massage for 90 min. They are so authentic, the rooms and decor. Plus they provide the Thai massage pants! They ask for your special requested areas to massage too, and work incredibly hard to leave you feeling stress-free afterward!!!! Can't wait to go back! read more

My cousin and I went to this Thai massage place today and had an absolutely fantastic experience. First of all, you need to manage your expectations: this is definitely not a fancy-schmancy spa. It's not fancy at all. It's Thai style massage so there's a lot of bending and stretching. You put on a funny little tank top and loose pants. You lay down a flat mat on a raised platform. They massage you with their hands in their feet, which means that they're standing on top of you! They chat a little bit while you're getting a massage so it's very different than a Swedish style or spa style massage but it is very effective and I left feeling fantastic. I think I paid $65 for A 70 minute massage (don't forget a generous tip! Those ladies worked hard!) so you can't beat the price. I will be coming back here again and again. read more

I will not return. I have gone occasionally, and the last time I went was about 2 years ago. When I called yesterday to make an appointment, they asked me my name. When they pulled me up in their system, they saw that last time I left a small tip (my session had just been ok, so tipped accordingly). They had the nerve to tell me I need to tip better this time! Can you imagine??? When I said "are you trying to tell me what to tip?" They pretty much said yes! I told them that they had no business telling people what to tip and that anyone can choose what to tip if anything. Needless to say I will not be returning........ read more

Good massage, but others are right about the tip issue. I went for a couples massage, which is $130. As others noted, they require a minimum 20% tip. As such, I tried to pay $160: which includes a $30 tip, more than 20% of $130 (which is $26). The woman told me it was insufficient and demanded $20 more, making me pay $180. That's a $50 tip on top of $130. So just an FYI- they do not merely demand a 20% tip, they demand much more ... closer to 40%. Just want to warn others about this issue. It's very uncomfortable to be in this situation after a massage, and not a relaxing situation to find yourself in. I would definitely have come back if that didn't happen, but it made me very uncomfortable and I will not be returning. read more

Kinnaree is incredible. I've had Thai massages in Southeast Asia, LA and the Bay Area. This is THE place to go. The therapists there are extremely well trained, have great technique and customer service. My husband and I walked out thrilled that we finally found our place to go. We've been looking for a regular spot, and this is it. From the preparation and comfort of the massage area, to the personalized, focused massage and even the stretching at the end... It is a complete relaxing, and engaged message. Yes, in Thai massage you do have to be a little bit active-- as far as moving, stretching and what not-- but its totally worth it. I love that my husband and I never feel like we get the same Thai massage-- they really focus on your requested trouble spots--and also can tell just by your posture areas that they need to work on. At Kinnaree, I left feeling like that hadn't missed a spot. :] Our massage was ended with handmade Lemongrass tea (bought locally at the farmer's market!) and a couple minutes to sit and relax. As this was our first time, we even got aromatherapy sachets to take home. What a great way to remember to get another appointment on the calendar! Definitely going back. I feel for the time (60 minutes) and the experience, I feel very satisfied-- and not a minute was wasted. P.S. The place was a little hard for us to find-- its in a professional office building space that is shared by a realty office (which is visible from the front). They're all the way behind the front building, and upstairs. P.P.S. The massage areas are seperated by a curtain-- and so yes, you do hear everything, but you see nothing of anyone else. This is a traditional set up, and it makes effective use of the space-- if you can't 'deal' with that kind of privacy or listening to others relax into a great massage-- too bad. read more

I haven't been posting in the past few months, but my experience here yesterday encouraged me to post. Kinnaree is a fantastic Thai massage boutique -- they go above and beyond! As you can probably see by my reviews, I am quite the massage snob. My favorite type of massage is Thai. When I moved back to the Bay Area from LA I really yearned for a great Thai massage place. Kinnaree is decorated with typical Thai furniture and accessories: Teakwood, Silk with Thai designs. Their massage areas are elevated and separated by silk curtains like most Thai massage places I have been to. My therapist was really Thai and highly trained at a Thai Massage school in Chiang Mai. The music was mellow and the lighting dark (so essential for me.. I hate bright lighting at massage places). Best of all -- it was some of the best body work I have had in a long time. Yuri was my massage therapist and she was fantastic. It is usually $60 for an hour, but first time clients get $10 off. It is more expensive than the Chinese massage I get in Oakland or the Thai massages in LA but it was just high quality it was soooo worth it. After I was finished Yuri gave me hot tea that she said "is good for your kidneys" and let me chill out. I highly recommend Kinnaree! read more

I just found this place and am so glad I did. I haven't had a Thai massage for years and I have to say wow was I missing out. I forgot how incredible these massages are. My body felt refreshed, realigned and so much better after my massage. Every area of my body was worked, the kind where you have to take deep breathes, but it is so worth those deep breathes. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The decor is very nice and relaxing. This will definitely become a regular spot for me, particularly with the great prices they offer. read more

I am Thai and I came here to get a Thai Massage. Good. Very Good. Service is great, Aan was great...this is traditional Thai massage. Everything cracked and popped and I left feeling better than I have in months. The price is so good, and it's worth the trek of crossing the bridge for me. In Thailand, you aren't even seperated by a curtain, when you go to the famous Wat Po, you are laying next to the person next to you. This is considered luxiourous. The other reviewers put the location was funky and it is..but once you get inside it's really nice. Maybe for me it's nurturting because of the smell of the herbs and the talking Thai..I just love it so much!! If you are an athelete or highly stressd person this is for you! read more

I took my wife here for her birthday for the reflexology massage. We each had a 60 minute. They were both great. They start with your feet and legs for about 40 minutes. It was so good, I fell asleep so I can't tell you to much detail. They then move to your arms, neck and shoulders. My wife left in another world and I felt great and relaxed. Having owned a spa years ago, I can say with authority, GO TO KINNAREE. read more

Darn, I thought I found a gem! The first visit was stellar. The masseuse was intuitive, and seemed very well trained. I wouldn't need to say a word and she would find the issues I was having. I came my second time and was told that the lady I used last only works Thursdays (so maybe I need to try to find her again). The second lady was pretty good, but it wasn't quite as nice as the first experience so unfortunately that was my only comparison. Still it was good enough to make me want more... That's when I decided to book 90 minutes..... I came in for the last appointment of the day, and boy it sure felt that way. The girl was very similar looking to the first girl as I could recall, so I thought I hit the jackpot since it was Thursday again. Unfortunately, I just got plain jacked on my massage. I am easy going on massages. Not much bothers me, but for some reason this girl took a 60 minutes massage and chopped it into a 30 minutes of technique, while stretching it out 90 minutes. She repeated so many steps over a dozen times that I couldn't even relax as it was like getting an indian burn all over my back. I'm all for getting my butt kicked in a thai massage. Hurts so good, is my motto. This was just plain bad. I'll never book 90 minutes here again, because it would kill me to stay that long if it were half as bad as last week. read more

This place offer really good massage. You get to discuss with the terapist prior to what you want ant he/she will take it from there. The price is reasonable at $1/minute. Some above have opined on the decor, my only concern is you can hear everything when the music is not on. That neither here nor there, considering the quality of the massage. One note, the business in located in the upper lever of a office complex. It is a wee bit hard to find, you either need to park in their lot or between the CVS Pharmacy and the post office. read more

If you like your hair being pulled and your skin feel like it's burning when she is standing on you doing "deep tissue" points that are about a half inch long that burns your skin while your face is being squished into a pillow or face cradle this is your place. I felt like I was being tortured while paying $85 plus tip. When I asked the therapist if she was angry her response was, you are so tight. I heard people raving about their massages but when my hair is being pulled so hard that I had to scream it was not good. I've had Thai massage before and it was painful but not tortuous. read more

Flying frequently to the San Fransisco area...I literally get off the plane and go directly to my favorite place to decompress, feel balanced, and ready for my work in the area. This is an environment for true healing work. Thank you Kinnaree! read more

I have been receiving regular massage for decades and once I experienced Thai Massage, I knew I would never go back. And once I set foot into Kinnaree and had my first taste of the difference high quality, traditional style massage made, I knew I would never go anywhere else. And what's more, they continue to exceed my expectations every time I go - from the moment you walk into the beautiful, well decorated, traditional Thai environment, to the greeting and experience you'll receive from the most sincere, professional, dedicated, and highly skilled masseuses you will ever meet, to sipping the traditional Thai hot tea they serve you after your massage. Tom is the masseuse I see regularly and highly recommend. He tailors his techniques to whatever I might need that day. The degree to which he does this is distinctive. I have seen numerous masseuses for years and eventually after a few months, their style becomes predictable. This has not been the case with Tom. Whether it's hot towels on my neck, shoulders, and feet; intense stretching; reflexology; or deep tissue massage with lotion when I need it; incorporated into the massage in classic Thai style; it is always an experience that is 200% of what I could possibly expect. He is very dedicated with the highest work ethic. I always leave feeling deeply refreshed with a sense of well being that stays with me through the week (never that long with any other kind of massage, even intense body work and shiatsu). And finally, I leave feeling good about supporting a hard-working independent business run by good people. I am a marketing director, and I wish I could spread the word to EVERYONE, not just in the Mill Valley area, that they are the BEST you'll ever experience! Thank you Tom, Sonia, and Anne!!! read more

One star for clean place. Massage was ok, it's not Suchada in SF. Save your money & drive to SF! My wife bought me a gift certificate for an aroma massage & they wouldn't honor it's full value then the mama boss was waiting for me when I came out of bathroom post massage for yet more of a shake down, telling me that I didn't pay enough. I paid $15 additional to gift certificate plus a tip & she wanted more for a larger tip. Not a cool positive relaxing end to my massage a real negative bummer. I doubt the tips make it to the folks doing the massaging. Desperate vibe, no thank you. read more

Nice atmosphere, tucked into the second floor of an office complex next to the Whole Foods in Mill Valley. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I'm not a fan of being in a "room" that is really just curtains separating each customer -- there isn't any privacy (for sounds), and it's distracting to hear the other customers as the massage is being done. The quality of the massage was OK. The best Thai massage I have had is from a place in Sacramento on 11th and H Streets, from an experienced masseuse named Nida. For Mill Valley, however, the price was good and quality was ok. read more

This place is amazing. The people are so friendly, warm and welcoming and they remembered me despite not going there for about a 3 year period (while I was at school). The atmosphere is so relaxing and I love their new location! I have a lot of hip/back problems and their massages always make everything SO much better. oh sweet lord have mercy! i have never had a massage as good as this and i get to many. a little disconcerted by the rump massage at first and for the first time ever ready to cry at the poking and prodding and stretching and elbowing and walking on, i walked away a new person. i chronically suffer from leg and back pain, but have hardly felt them since having gone there a couple of time. and all at $60 for one hour ($50 on the first one, the 11th one free and if you recommend 5 friends an hour free also). i want to say that i'd go every week, but i don't need to. once, max twice a month is enough. and you don't get one of the impersonal massage tables, you get a bed surrounded by curtains and a proper head/chest rest, all accompanied by soothing music and smells. if you go, ask for Tom or Sunja. it's a buddhist place so don't think of eating the fruit and sweets by the entrance, they are offerings to the gods, not the clients. read more

Fantastic! I get massages regularly, and this was definitely one of the best. It's like a combination of yoga, stretching and deep tissue all at once! And the studio is well done - clean and very comfortable. The staff is low key and genuinely friendly, and the post massage tea is wonderful. Definitely going back! read more

I carry my stress in my back, neck and shoulders - they become so tight they feel like concrete. In the past, I've had massages that don't make one bit of progress.
