I've been going to Magnolia nail spa for the past six years. Every single one of them is very experience and is efficient and very sweet.

I passed by this place earlier in the week and thought it looked really cute and I really wanted to try it especially after reading reviews! So after running around all day the day before my wedding, I called to make an appointment for myself and my new little sister in law for pedicures, they told us to come at 5, then someone called back again and told us to come at 5:15 (cool not a big deal, I didn't care).. They finally got to us maybe 10/15 minutes after the fact, and I've never seen someone rush through doing a pedicure faster... The massage was maybe a minute all together for both legs and the lady was pretty rough with me... If you can't perform the same thoughtful and detailed service that's done for everyone else throughout the day, you shouldn't be scheduling appointments at 5 if you close at 6 and are just gonna rush through it. I just wanted to relax the evening before my wedding after running around all day trying to get last minute things together, and that was not possible there which was really disappointing. read more

This is my secret perfect pedi spot I decided to stop gatekeeping. 5 stars because the pedis I get from Magnolia last for 5+ weeks! 5 stars for a clean airy space with ventilation, a nice view, big windows, sunlight, and no brain damaging smells. Woah, rare. 5 stars for OPI gel colors. 5 stars for great foot massages and comfy clean massage chairs. 5 stars for being near trees and having easy parking and generally being chill with no upselling or obnoxious music. (I still bring headphones to get work done but thankfully they are really polite about my A-type habits) read more

The BEST nail salon in Marin! All of the ladies who work here are so kind and helpful. I have gone here for years with my Mom, and we always have a wonderful experience. It does get busy fast, so I recommend calling ahead of time for an appointment! They also allow tips on card, which is very convenient since I don't often carry cash on me. I love this nail spa!! The ladies are so friendly and really go out of the way to make sure you love your nails and toe nails! Every time I have gone there I leave really happy with the quality of work they do and the experience I had at the salon. The music playlist is great - sometimes it has me dancing in my seat! Please don't use this salon. They are rude and nasty and made me feel so intimidated. Literally shouting at me. All I asked for was if I could have my cuticles cut a little more as they tend to grow quickly. They were rough, rude and told me to go back to where I normally have my nails done. I have never experienced such poor customer service and certainly never had any nails sail be so rise to me. Their work is average with no attention to details. They told me that for the money they charge they can't cut my cuticles more and they are not cheaper thank any other local nail salon. Please don't go there. read more

I've been coming to Magnolia for several months and it's my favorite spa in Marin. They charge fair prices for a dip manicure and they always last me 3+ weeks. The location is great - right by Equator coffee with plenty of parking. I've also always been able to squeeze an appointment in with just a few days notice. read more

I usually don't ever get my nails done nor do I care to pay so much for it. I decided to splurge a little more and I can definitely say, it was worth it. Cuc (goes by cookie) took such great care of me & paid attention to such details to a simple mani/pedi. She worked so efficiently between me and another client with no issues. Everyone here is so nice and the service was great. I got a royal blue French tip and I love it. I have never had a better experience anywhere. The vibe was good with chill music. If you go ask for Dao to do your nails she was amazing. She was a perfectionist she checked in with me every step to make sure I like it and she didn't take that long. Two nails chipped in less than 24 hours... have had many dip manures in past at other nail salons that have lasted 4+ weeks without single chip. Super dissatisfied with the quality of my manicure. Not cheap either. The entire time felt like I was being rushed out of there. Would absolutely not come back. read more

I live in Mill Valley and wish there was a great nail place so I don't have to drive but always some bad reviews that make me not want to go. I go to Magnolia nail spa because the woman are amazing, great at what they do, music is lovely, chairs are so comfortable with massage and my nails look fabulous. Cookie did my pedicure today and she was so patient as I had her try 3 different polish colors to choose the best. There is easy parking and my pedicure lasts a long time. I will continue to drive here as it really is such a relaxing experience and I totally trust I will have a great experience and lovely pedicure. read more

I have been going to Magnolia nail since 2016. I used to be an every three week kind of gal. Since the pandemic, I took off my acrylics so my maintenance isn't as dire but it makes my visits here all the more special. These awesome ladies always do a great job. From the warm welcome, the the most comfortable pedicure chairs, to the amazing service, array of colors and competitive pricing, this place is my go to. I made an appointment here for my daughter to get acrylic nails for the first time for her birthday. I described over the phone what she was looking for. When she went to get them done, she was told it wasn't possible & she would need to come back the next day. Her friend got acrylics at that time, why not her? I suspect that there may be some racism playing a part here. All she wanted was a reverse french, you can't do that? Really? She did get her toes done which she really didn't care about just to do something & overtipped. I will not be back thanks. read more

Hannah, Monica and Elaine always m do an amazing job! They have a great assortment of regular and gel polish options and always are willing to do any sort of design application. First time trying out this nail salon and definitely won't be my last. The ladies were so professional and their work was superb. Lisa did my gel manicure and I didnt catch the name of who did my pedicure, but it was SO GOOD and she took her time to make sure no nail polish was on the edges, even used a brush to clean up the edges. I have gone to this nail salon for pedicures but never got nails. I asked for a full set/pink and white. MONICA had to remove my old set and replace with new. She was rough, inpatient, and hurt me. Her sister, Hannah, who is very nice, had to step in and finish removing my old set! Then handed my nails back to MONICA. my finished product - nails too short, White tips to large, and bubbles in nail polish! I also had to use Neosporin on FOUR fingers for cuts for about 5 days. I really really really wanted to like this salon. I moved to Larkspur in Feb and wanted this to be my local, but I will never be back. Pros: place is clean and techs are nice Major Cons: I had an appt but was made to wait for 55 minutes before it started. What's the point of making an appointment if you are made to wait for almost an hour!?!?! I would have left but I was in a jam because I had an event that evening and was running out of time. So I stayed and tried to make the best of it. During my pedi the nail tech kept walking away from me even after they had started, prolonging the appointment time by quite a bit! My gel manicure chipped after 1 day, when they are supposed to last 2 weeks!! I went back to get it fixed, made a 5:30 appt and was made to wait for 20 mins AGAIN! When a nail tech finally saw me she examined my entire manicure with an unimpressed look on her face and asked where I had gotten them done. When I told her I had them done HERE she changed completely, perhaps hoping I didn't see her dissatisfaction with the manicure job they had done. She fixed my chipped nail, and yet here I am a week later and the same nail chipped again, as well as an additional nail. UGH. Never again read more

I've been coming here on and off since they opened (so the last few years). They are a big hit or miss, however, the last time I was in there, they started me 45 minutes late...AND I had an appointment. My gel is already peeling off less than 7 days later. The woman who did my nails I had never seen working there before. She also told me they didn't have the color LIGHT PINK. Hanna is the best at Magnolia Nails. I give Hanna alone 5 stars but she's difficult to get an appointment with because everybody loves her and she's not in all 6 days they are open. The location rocks. Magnolia is adorable. I really didn't want to write this review as I have gone to Magnolia in the past and have had decent experiences. I also never got gel manicures there before. Their pedicure are flawless. If you need one I would suggest going in. Their regular manicures are okay, depending on who does your nails. Their gel manicures- lets put it this way, I went in and 2 days later one of my nails has peeled off. I went back in for it to be fixed. And now 4 days later, a few of the other nails are peeling off. It wasn't even a great gel manicure to begin with. It was sloppy and looked like this could possibly happen. If you're going to spend $60.00 for a manicure and pedicure, there are much better places you could go to then this place where this this would not happen! I am not even going back in to fix it (again)! I learned my lesson! read more

I used to love Elaine and she does great work. However the last two times I've gone I've been slapped with a 30 minute wait and horrible results. I had made appointments for both times mentioned above, and both times they ran over by 30 minutes with no apologies; it wasn't acknowledged in the slightest. If you don't have time for an appointment, please don't promise me a time, because it's disrespectful and a waste of my time even showing up. When I had my nails finally done, the gel color was bleeding into my cuticles and it looked absolutely horrible. The second time I went the color was not probably applied and looked as if I had had the manicure for over a week. After both these times I'm sad to say I will not be returning or recommending Magnolia, which is a shame as it used to be my favorite place to go. read more
