    Gnocchi Asiago & Meatballs

This is one of the worst restaurants I've been to especially for the price. Even one star is generous I ordered over the phone for pick up I spoke with this rude old lady. I ordered the brisket and chuck burger. They asked how I wanted it. I asked for medium well it when I picked up the order it was like eating a bland hockey puck what kind of burger comes with no sauce no seasoning whatsoever extremely bland. I asked for fries on the side. I got the smallest portion of fries with only 10 pieces. My friend ordered the asiago gnocchi meatballs with Alfredo sauce. This was surprisingly, worst then the burger, one of the worst dishes I've ever had no flavor whatsoever. They also forgot the garlic bread that comes on the side when the lady specifically said it comes with garlic bread I felt like I was eating nothing. The portion was also extremely small with only two meatballs and nasty gnocchi. Stay away from this place. Horrible prices for nasty food. The old lady at the front said that they didn't have any ranch when a waiter brought out ranch. That old lady needs to be fired. I'm surprised this restaurant has four stars when I wouldn't even give it one. This place is right for you if you like spending an extra buck for horrible food. This was honestly one of the worst restaurants we've been to. Seems like people are catching on with an empty dining room. Stay away from this place.

Beautiful downtown date night restaurant! Servers and service were impeccable! We had a specially curated menu for an organized dinner social club event. Caesar Salad was refreshing garnished with a little anchovy on top. Chicken Piccata was balanced with a light lemon caper sauce, a tomato based pasta and the amazing Brussels sprouts! Dessert was beautifully garnished and good as cheesecakes go. Parking: 2 hour validation, $5 per hour after that at the Collier Center Parking Garage.

Mancuso's, a repeat Italian restaurant that I absolutely love to eat with friends and loved ones anytime I can't decide a great pasta place specifically during lunch for way better prices. The service is always accommodating, swift, and they've never given me the impression that they push certain dishes just to upsell the tab. The Beet salad should be more than enough if you like a contrast of bright citric flavors accompanied by figs, walnuts, and goat cheese. The last highlight, the Linguini & Clams, 3 words to instantly understand how I interpreted the flavors: rich (not in an overwhelming sense), balanced, and briny. The white wine sauce reduces the oceanic brininess to those who are sensitive to it by almost 100%, a beautiful combination of still showcasing the clams' flavor paired with the creaminess through the dish. I love Mancuso's as a go-to lunch pasta because I can enjoy the spot when it's less busy!

This was one of the best actual meals I've had in Phoenix. All the meals in Phoenix were either were overly expensive for poorly cooked quality food or overly salty but not this location!! This restaurant had amazing pasta: the fettuccine Alfredo was fairly priced around $20-$30 with amazing creamy taste, the best sautéed mushrooms, and served fresh/hot. The garlic bread was a bit too hard for me but still delicious. And amazing seating the views were great. The servers were also so respectful, patient, and friendly. The restaurant wasn't crowded and when requested a seat away from the window, they were so nice about it. Served hot water and refilled without my asking too. Welcomed in and welcomed out. Overall one of the best experiences in Phoenix

The ambiance was great and the food was good too. We really enjoyed being able to celebrate the first year and enjoy a nice steak. The customer service was good!

The service was good. Two large holiday parties and a larger group kept staff moving. We arrived just after the parties got started... the Asiago gnocchi was excellent. The gnocchi we perfect puffs, tender and evenly filled . Partner had lobster tails .. they were overcooked and tough. The risotto was dry and bland. I am thinking it was just a bad night for this restaurant and will give it another try...

It took a moment to figure out how to get in the restaurant, but it was worth it. I had the lobster fra diavolo and my wife had the veal piccata. The Chianti was very nice. The garlic bread was evil. Enjoyed it way too much. The servers were hard working and the seating was comfortable. My only complain was with the design of the restaurant. You need some better noise absorbing materials. That's it. One tip, make a reservation. It was packed on a Sunday night at 6pm

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Mancuso's the other night! We were seated in a rather private booth and served promptly. The garlic bread was beyond any other garlic bread I have tasted. The meal was served in a very reasonable time and the service by our waitress as well as all other staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone that walked past was aware of empty plates and water cups. It was the perfect space for us to enjoy a wonderful anniversary dinner.

    Asiago Gnocchi Meatballs

we remember it tasting better in the past. Our server was amazing & attentive. It def didn't seem very busy for a Saturday evening. We really liked the asiago gnocchi, garlic bread sticks, and tiramisu. We did not like the meatball the gnocchi came with. The chicken alfredo & bruschetta were just alright.

I was invited to a dinner hosted by several agencies from Central Maryland. It was a touch of home in a new state. I've never been here but was glad to be introduced to it. The private dining room was nice and cozy. The restroom is fine (dated but nice photos on the wall) and clean. The staff serving us were friendly and attentive. For dinner, I started with the house salad and selected the Baked Meat Lasagna for my entrée. It serves 2 easily. They preselected a Cream Brulé Cheesecake. Delicious!

Everything I got, I loved. I will be back! Our server was so bubbly and amazing! Parking was a little confusing and finding the place downtown takes patience but once you're there, you will be glad you went!

    Creamy, rich Tiramisu

I have not been to Mancuso's since the first date with my kids' dad in 1992 when it was at the Borgota in Scottsdale. Special memories I went in for lunch today and the chicken Marsala blew me away. Rich sauce and the chicken was perfectly tender and juicy. The garlic bread The tiramisu was to die for and the Cesar salad was pretty mid. My server was fantastic. The only thing, no Coke, just Pepsi. Lol

We decided on Mancuso's for dinner because it is close to Phoenix Symphony Hall. It can be a little tricky to find. When you find the address, you have to go up the stairs and then around the building in front to find it. Of course, because it's downtown, parking can be a little hard to find. There is a parking garage, but we parked on the street around the corner. The restaurant itself is lovely. I was surprised that it was so empty at 6:00 on a Friday evening. There is a separate bar off to the side, a main dining room, and then another room off the side with tables and white tablecloths. I really liked the touch of a big table lamp and an arrangement of mirrors and old photos. We started with cocktails and escargot. The escargot was loaded with delicious, garlicky butter. We got a basket of bread, which was fantastic for dipping in the garlic butter. They do bring balsamic and olive oil if you prefer to dip your bread in that. I had the rigatoni Bolognese, which was good. Hubby had the linguine in white clam sauce. There were tons of clams and it was absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful, attentive server. He boxed our food up for us at the end of the evening, which is touch I always appreciate.

The Sicilian Butcher is firmly in the second category for me, and this visit was yet another reminder of why I keep coming back. We started with the Calamari Fritto, and it was everything calamari should be--light, crispy, perfectly seasoned, and never rubbery. The marinara on the side was rich, bright, and made every bite even better. Next came the Heirloom Tomato & Burrata, and wow... this dish was as beautiful as it was delicious. The sweet, juicy heirloom tomatoes paired with the incredibly creamy burrata created such a fresh, elegant starter that tasted like summer on a plate. Simple ingredients done exceptionally well. For my entrée, I ordered the Lasagna al Forno, and it completely stole the show. Layer after layer of tender pasta, rich meat sauce, creamy cheese, and perfectly baked goodness made this the ultimate comfort dish. Every bite was warm, hearty, and packed with authentic Italian flavor without feeling overly heavy. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts of dining here--stylish, lively, and sophisticated while still feeling welcoming and fun. It strikes that perfect balance for everything from date nights to celebrations or simply treating yourself to an incredible meal. Every single dish we ordered was a 10/10, and the consistency here is what keeps impressing me. It's not easy for a restaurant to deliver the same high-quality experience visit after visit, but somehow they always do. If you're looking for Italian food that's full of flavor, beautifully presented, and worth every bite, this place continues to exceed expectations. I'll happily be back for visit number... honestly, I've lost count.

After looking over the menu, we started off with Francesco's frittura to share. This dish tasted fine, nothing outstanding. For our main entrees we ordered the brown butter seared scallops with sweet corn risotto and the shrimp fradiavolo. Both of these entrees were outstanding in their own respect. The risotto was subtly sweet and not heavy or rich. Additionally, the scallops were nicely seasoned and not overcooked. The shrimp fradiavolo was mildly spicy and the spaghetti was perfectly al dente. Since we always have room for dessert, we ordered the tiramisu to share. It was nice and fluffy, and not too sweet, which we prefer. Overall, service was friendly, patient, and attentive. The ambiance was comfortable and intimate with lots of indoor seating and some outdoor patio seating. I highly recommend making reservations in advance if you plan on coming here. After our great experience, we will definitely be back to try out some of their other dishes!

My two favorite dishes that never miss are the Lasagna and the Chicken Parm. Like clockwork, it has always been impeccable. Sadly my most recent experience will likely be my last experience. I ordered the Chicken Parm and when it came out there was something missing from my plate. Instead of the usual Rigatoni Pasta with Vodka Sauce there were a couple of stale chunks of potatoes and some sorry looking asparagus spears. I asked the bartender where is the pasta. She responded that it no longer comes with pasta and that I could order some at an additional charge. It was at that moment that I knew I would never return again. Never in my entire life have I ever ordered Chicken Parm at an Italian Restaurant and not have it come with pasta. That is like ordering a hamburger and it doesn't come with a bun. Then they tell you that you are more than welcome to order a bun at an additional cost. It was like the ultimate slap in the face. I understand that businesses are under financial pressure in these tough times. I can assure you though that this restaurant does not suffer from this fate. There is simply zero excuse for this type of behavior from ownership. Their meals are already priced near the top of the market here in Scottsdale, and rightfully so as their food is top tier. But to raise prices and then remove a staple item off of the menu is asinine. Again, I really do not like writing negative reviews for businesses because I am a fellow business owner as well. However the consumer in me cannot stand for this type of treachery. I am sick and tired of paying more and getting less. This is not meant to deter others from experiencing this place. It is meant to let management that loyal customers are dissatisfied with their business practices. Finally, I am not a cheapskate either. I always tip at least 30% which is way above the average. I am not tone-deaf, I sympathize with restaurant staff and wage gaps so every little bit helps in the service industry.

Amazing, unique experience!…read more I arrived with the preconceived ideas about being jostled in long lines in a poorly cooled pizza joint, sitting in a crowded restaurant at plastic tables eating plastic food. That misconception disappeared immediately upon stepping through the doorway. Warm, inviting ambiance, full of character. Attending the birthday celebration for an esteemed young man, our table wasn't ready (we were early) and the hostess offered us seats at the bar while awaiting our party. We each had a wine spritzer... may I say that the very few such concoctions I've had bearing that name didn't do justice to what we were served. I've never had anything like this, a "Sgroppino" (I'm partial to strawberry!) and it was perhaps the best adult beverage I've had in a very long time. Many different nuances in a glass. Stunning subtle, many diverse flavors. Mmm. Our bartender was an artist of the mixed adult beverage, a delightful individual with a warm, genuine smile and an encyclopedic knowledge of how to do his job expertly. Rare that you meet someone like this who isn't all measuring cups and shot glasses: everything he concocted was done by eye, and judging by what he made for us, his expertise was immediately apparent. Ben fatto. È andata benissimo, brava. When we'd all arrived, we were escorted to the "garden shed"... a smaller out-building filled with racks of wine, perhaps an ideal place for small wedding receptions or engagement parties. Well-cooled despite our broiling Phoenix evening. We had the garlic bread; someone ordered IL Tagliere, Calamari (no, thank you), and a basket of bread. You know how you go to a hamburger joint and what you're served looks nothing like the photos of their menu? Go to CiBO's web site and look at their menu: What you see in their photos is what you get. One visit and next time you look at their menu online, you'll salivate. Yes, the food is that good. I ordered the calzone. Delicious. Getting through it wasn't pretty... but it was excellent. Huge, very generous entree. Excellent flavors. Our server was delightful, attentive without being a nuisance. Our water glasses never reached empty, and the stories about the birthday boy (and others) were never interrupted. We never made it to desserts. Too much food and amusing stories. CiBO: È andata benissimo, brava.
