    The cute cafe!
    Ruth D.

Everything was superb, except for the strange music mix that did not seem to have a cohesive genre and how loud the speakers were at 8:30 in the morning. The breakfast sandwich my husband ordered took a little while to make, though much less time than a traditional sit down restaurant. He said the croissant made all the difference because it was so good. He didn't even try the spicy ketchup that comes with it. My croissant was one of the best I have ever had. Flaky and really buttery. And everything is so cute in the Maman cafes! If you aren't used to DC prices, then be warned that this is going to feel expensive.

Great service! I ordered several pastries and a lavender iced coffee, which came to $20. Different innovative pastries, interesting decor, and friendly staff. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but this place gets very busy, with lines typically out the door.

Cute little cafe that's on George Washington's campus. Such a busy spot. The chicken Caesar wrap was one of the best I've head, great quality chicken and well dressed all throughout

Stopped by this place to while visiting DC. It's located in an indoor market establishment. The offer pastries and various drinks. They have lots of seating and cute decor. I tried their iced caramel latte which had a unique taste in comparison and to others I've tried but it was good. They give you the cup without a lid so you are able to grab the lid yourself or enjoy the latte there. Good service.

maman is a NYC-based cafe with excellent pastries, coffee, and food. The decorations are always inviting and the staff helpful. Their almond croissant latte was good as are their cookies. It's a little pricey, but it's also D.C. This location is inside Western Market and comes with plenty of tables and two uni-sex restrooms with a code to enter.

Finding this Cafe was a bit complicated since it is was in an indoor plaza and the hours placed on the main door said they open at 10 am. However, the Cafe open at 7 am. I tried a hot chocolate, it was not too sweet but it had good flavor. I liked the fresh baked cookies. The staff was really nice, and I think the decorations inside the café make it a great place to take pictures and feel warm from the cold.

I stopped by this little coffee shop inside Western Market because I needed a caffeine boost! The ambiance alone pulled me in. It's clean, cozy, and has that inviting charm. When you first walk in, you're met with a display of the pastries. What caught my eye was their limited-edition Martha Stewart menu featuring a selection of curated bakery items. I ended up going with the Martha Stewart chocolate crème brûlée bun and their signature iced latte. Let me just say...the latte was hands down one of the best iced lattes I've ever had! Perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and the coffee flavor actually comes through nice and strong. The bun was also delicious. My only small note is that I wish it had been warmed up a bit (or at least offered), because I think that would've taken it to my another level. Service was quick, and I appreciated that they have both indoor and outdoor seating options. Everything came out to just under $15 with tax, which felt reasonable given the quality. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend stopping by, especially if you're already in the building or nearby.

Just inside the door of the western market, this place was a popular spot on a sunny Sunday morning. It is decorated like a lovely little garden tea party. A fun spot to sit and hang out. The cookies and coffees did the trick for my sugar and caffeine fix, but it wasn't anything I would deem special. I would go for the ambiance and better than Starbucks quality. They also have many locations in the dc area, so you know you can find them anywhere.

What an absolutely adorable cafe! This was such a nice cafe experience with great customer service, food and drinks, and decor! It felt like dining in a scene from a fairytale. Their tahini honeycomb latte is my favorite - creamy, smooth, and a tasty mix of sweet and a little salty. I also really liked their potato pastry and classic chocolate chip cookie. Everything here is very delicious and freshly made though, you can't go wrong.

The food was so good and as always the cookies are so delicious. The ambience was very bright and had a nice aesthetic for a coffee shop treat! Fun to come as a solo date with a book and staff was kind!

Yep. If you're reading this, you should just make that reservation and go... and yes, I would…read morerecommend a reservation because this place is pop-u-lar, and I see why. The space itself is bright and airy and a bit on the noisy side. But the service was very good, and the food was served quite quickly. I've been on a shakshuka kick lately, so I opted for the the Sweet Potato Shakshuka, which is described as: Sweet Potato Curry, with Chickpeas and Sunny Eggs with a the chicken add-on - gotta get that protein in, after all. This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... I would've expected it to be incorporated into the main dish. It was kind of bland and a bit lukewarm, so I don't know that I'd order that again... but I would definitely order this again!

The Tikka dish with fried egg was tasty, but wish paneer or larger protein option was built-in (not an upcharge)! The creamy red Tikka curry sauce, caramelized onions, crispy brussel sprouts, and fried ere tasty and paired well, the dish felt incomplete and something was missing, maybe some paneer or naan? I paid $5 for a side of zesty naan topped with different spices and really wish it came with the dish just came with it. While I was tempted to order the falafel, I couldn't justify shelling out another $5 for another upcharge and spend $10 on them for a total of $26 for just an entree - when these 2 upcharges should have been included in the entree by default. Wish there were more fun vegetarian dishes on the menu. Might come back for drinks and to explore the menu!

On the hunt for the best Burger in DC. Not only was it the best in DC, it's the best I've ever had…read moreand I've travelled to all 50 States. Walked in and seated at the bar right away. Novice was the bartender and recommended the Proper burger. I added my typical fries and a Diet Coke. The burger came out quickly. Right off the bat, it's visually amazing. A properly stacked Burger is hard to find. The 2 best things about this burger are 1. The taste , and 2. The form of the burger. The taste is absolutely fantastic. The Gouda paired perfectly with the red onions and the perfectly cooked, juicy beef patties. The aioli was just enough and not overbearing, like looking at a painting of a castle and noticing the subtle blurred background of misty forest. The arugula added another layer of flavor that helped kick this burger into the highest echelons of Burger superiority. And of course, the brioche bun was perfect for this style of burger. It kept its shape while I gently smushed it down in my hands. The entire burger kept its shape and didn't fall apart like some other Burgers will. As I sank my teeth into the first bite, the first thing I noticed was all the flavors blending together. Each bite afterwards just added to my mystified and puzzled bewilderment. The texture was moist and soft. As I chewed and swallowed each morsel, I began to think to myself, is this it? Is my search over? Is this the BEST burger in the country? Never had I tasted such a wonderful burger! (Sorry In-N-Out 2x1, raw onions, chopped chilis, toasted bun, you are no longer on the top of my list). As I neared completion of my newly discovered epitome of gluttonous desires, a feeling of sadness started to take over. I would be done with the burger in a few more bites, and with that, my journey would conclude. I sat there, staring at what would be my final bite. The last bit of pleasure in between my slender fingers, still dripping with the juices God had placed there after it was grilled to perfection in the Kitchen. I placed the final delectable piece into my mouth. I spent what felt like an eternity chewing this treasure before finally gulping down the goblet of wonder. What came after was a feeling of pure bliss. I had finally done it. All the years, all the time dedicated to finding the best Burger ever, is complete. I called my wife and told her "Honey, it's time. I'm coming home." The fries were ok.
