All day breakfast, which still hits at 6PM when we went. Drinks were solid (rhubarb matcha) and the croque madame was very tasty as well. Tons of seating area, and a super large airy space to sit down. I enjoyed!
I recently took my dad along with my sibling to Tatte. Tatte is like an elevated Panera. It was a good experience. Their smoked salmon sandwich was delicious. They have a good staff which did a great job tending to our needs.
I'm a sucker for black and white tiled floors. Is that why I like Tatte? At Tatte you order at the cash register, get a number on a little stand, and a server tracks you down at your table. It's pretty quick. Tatte has bakeries in DC, NYC and Boston. It's a great concept: a European style bakery plus coffee shop that way better than the large coffee chains. Big selection of excellent pastry reflecting Tatte 's farmers market origins. Plus fabulous looking shakshuka which I have yet to try. Note to Tatte: I'd love to have you open here in Atlanta.
The pastries were really good. The service was nice and quick since there was a long line. However, for dine in it gets a bit weird because no one mentioned the drinks wouldn't be brought to us so we were waiting for a bit until we went to ask for it. The ambiance was the usual for a busy cafe.
Enjoyed the croissant but not the chicken pita as much. They're a franchise. The croissant warmed up was very nice and flaky. The Jerusalem bagel was okay, I wouldn't order it again. The pita bread for chicken pita was so fluffy but idk I just wasn't into it as much.
Great little cafe. Had a delicious breakfast sandwich and pastry. Regular coffee was good, latte was a little weak so add a shot. My friend appreciated the number of gluten free pastries.
We had to walk in the very hot 4th of July weekend weather to get to this place from our hotel because the food and pictures looked so good and we were not disappointed! What we ate were some of the best dishes we've ever had: Traditional Shakshuka and the Lamb Hash. Both were absolutely delicious. The pastries all looked so good it was hard to choose but we ended up with a strawberry turnover and the Pistachio Rose Cold Foam Latte which was amazing. Highly recommend this place. We will be returning every time we're in DC.

Came here for brunch and was pretty disappointed. The place felt really disorganized. After ordering, you kind of just have to figure everything out yourself. My latte didn't come until I was done eating, and when I asked, they just said they were busy without even checking. It only showed up after I said I wanted to cancel. Also got rushed while I was still eating. They kept asking to take my plate and seemed annoyed when I said no. Honestly, management should focus on fixing this location before opening more. If it's always this busy, hire more people instead of taking it out on customers.
Came to Tatte for a casual business lunch and had a great experience! There are a good amount of options for vegetarians- I got the Fresh Corn & Avocado Farro Bowl (grain salad of farro, fresh corn, sugar snap peas, baby arugula, heirloom cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, dill and pickled red onion in a mustard labneh topped with sliced avocado). It was super light and fresh. I really enjoyed all the components- the ingredients complemented each other well and provided great textural diversity (creamy cheese, sweet corn, crunchy peas, savory avocado). Service was fast, ambiance is really nice (the space is big and very open, lots of seating but it does get busy). 10/10 would recommend!

Long line, and while food came out quickly, it was served cold. Food & Drink: Iced Matcha with Vanilla: Barely any vanilla flavor--underwhelming. Halloumi & Sunny-Side Sandwich: Tasty, but needed a sauce for flavor and was served too cold. TL;DR: Busy spot with fast service, but the food and drinks were just okay--style over substance.
After a nice experience at a different location, we chose to try a different Tatte, one closer and more convenient. Even though this one is not at a historic town, it still has a very clean and minimalist style with friendly staff. This time we tried the croquet madame and the croissant breakfast sandwich. We left yesterday's location wishing we could also fit these two, as they looked quite delicious. However, this time I have to say that looks were deceiving. Even though both sandwiches looked good, the flavors were just ok. There was nothing wrong with them. They did the job and that was fine. But the location in Georgetown wowed us with flavors and textures, leaving this experience to be just ok. However, their chocolate butter cookies were to die for!!! Take a few or 10 for the road if you must!
Loved this latte!!!! The tahini added a lovely depth of flavor and perfectly complemented the pumpkin spice. Egg plate was standard but a decent light lunch.
This is a cafe and restaurant. From drinks to pastries to savory meals. I love the variety. The prices are reasonable. There are several in DC. All of them have decent amount of seatings and nice interior decor. Good service. I like this place so much for the convenience and good food and drinks. You can have a decent entree for $20 and under - for that price, it's very good. And they open until 8 pm! read more
Great place to get lunch! They have so many different food options--sandwiches, salads, soups, Shakshuka, bowls, pastries, etc. The place is spacious inside with tons of seating--during weekday lunch it can get busy so you might need to wait a few minutes for a table or high top. You order your food first, then find seating. Food comes out fairly quick. Dishes I've tried and would recommend: Chicken Pita, Turkey BLAT, Spiced Shrimp & Avocado Mousse Salad, Chickpea & Fava Plate, Lamb Meatball & Labneh Shakshuka, and Short Rib Grilled Cheese Sandwich--there's so much I want to try but haven't yet! Their cookies are delicious too, my favorite is the Halva Chocolate Chunk Cookie. read more
My favorite bakery and coffee shop while visiting the D.C. area during the cherry blossoms festival. A five-minute walk towards downtown from the Mayflower hotel made Tatte Bakery an ideal spot for breakfast. It also has nice views of Farragut Square. I went with the House Full breakfast that included Applewood bacon, eggs, potato fritters with tomato jam and mint parmasean, and house made sourdough. I was curious to try one of their best sellers - monkey bread, and it didn't disapoint. A solid breakfast with on point service before catching the metro to Virginia. I really enjoyed my visit here and would return in a heartbeat. read more

Came in for some hot chocolate. It's sooo good and made with milk. It's nice and thick, chocolatey. It's Christmas Eve Eve and there was basically no lines at 12:10pm. DC tends to be dead during the holidays, which I prefer. Got my hot chocolate really quick. read more

Okay.. so I miraculously chose this coffee shop out of the others that were on every coffee shop and I'm so glad that I did. We went in at about 10 AM on a Saturday. It was packed at that time but later died down. First, we were greeted by Max who I later found out was visiting from another store. He was so charismatic, fun, and welcoming. He is also very persuasive and had me wanting ALL of the pastries. Secondly, Libra was everywhere but in all the right places at the right time consistently. She too was welcoming and greeted us with a beautiful smile. Third, Cristian is obviously the youngest out of the crew and I'm not sure what his position is but he was running the show in the back. He was dressed nicely and greeted us with a beautiful dimpled smile. This particular location is like a well oiled machine. No job was too little or too big for anyone and they all worked well together. I'm so glad that I chose this location over any other coffee shops as the service and professionalism was top notch. I came across three Tatte cafes in DC area. It seems they are located in most of the major CBDs (DuPont Circle, Georgetown Uni and Smithsonian Museum areas). The pastries and coffees are as good as their interior designs -- classic and tasty! read more

The Tatte Bakery & Cafe is one of my favorites in the area. It's lovely, filled with customers, plenty of staff to get orders out quickly. The atmosphere is great! As I mentioned, it's loud and busy, but I prefer my cafes that way. May not be for everyone though. I sat at the bar that overlooks the cashier and pastry section. Tatte has a large selection of baked goods, pastries, and desserts. I love the fresh fruit based options. This recent trip, I ordered a hearty breakfast. The "Egg in a Hole" -- Two fried eggs nestled in a housemade sesame Jerusalem bagel. Served with chopped vegetable salad. 680 cal. The Jerusalem bagel is my new favorite. It was covered in sesame seeds and had a firm exterior and soft interior. It was toasted and served with a really good chopped salad on top. I added ham to it and it brought together the whole thing! I paired my breakfast with a house latte! The oat milk was foamy and it was served hot and fresh from the espresso bar. Overall loved my experience here. The staff was friendly and prompt to serve me. Will be back soon! read more

Several locations, it went to the one in DC. Wanted to be sure we got good seating. Luckily there were seats at the bar area, with outside view. Egg sandwich was so good. Bread was light and fluffy and egg, smoked salmon, avocado mix was perfect. Very filling, yet I ate it all. I wanted to try the Croissants, but too much food. Will go again to try other pastries and coffee. Ordering was fine and they brought out the food promptly. Someone did come by and remove our empty plates. read more
Adored this spot on our walk to The White House! I chose an Iced Honey Halva Latte and a plain brownie (which I am just now realizing was GF!). The latte was the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess - exactly what I was looking for on that hot summer day. The brownie was an absolute delight! It was decadent, chewy, and incredibly rich. I was only able to eat a few bites and took the rest with me. It's on our list to revisit next time we're in town. read more

Needed a quick bite on the way into town and this location is very conveniently located right near the Metro station entrance. Fast casual style restaurant and a spot brimming with energy. We ordered an avocado salad and a short rib grilled cheese to share. Seating can be a challenge during busier (meal) times, but the tables turned pretty fast so our wait was not terribly long. Both meal items were tasty and cooked as expected. Plenty of locations around the city to choose from, would come here again when looking for an alternative to the same old fast casual options. read more
The food here is really good. I got the chickpea and fava plate and it came with pita bread, which was fluffy and super delicious. Some of the best pita I've had. There was some chili oil in the chickpeas that made it quite tasty. 10/10 would order again. It was $12, and the portion was smallish, so I'd maybe get a pastry with it next time. There is quite a lot of indoor seating so you can probably find a place to sit as long as it's not a super busy time. It's got a generally busy atmosphere though. Otherwise there is outdoor seating as well as a park across the street with benches. read more
Tattes are classics in DC and Boston. This location fills up during lunch and I struggled to find a spot to sit with two friends. It took 25 minutes for a table to open up. Service is very quick, but they clearly struggle to keep up with cleaning; the bathroom was a mess and the tables that were free outside had plates and crumbs sitting on them for quite a while after people left. Lunch items are delicious, especially the Shakshuka. Skip the London Fog drink. Entirely too sweet. read more

Must-see, do, and drink when in DC! It's like falling into a baked good bliss. They also have brunch but honestly, I had my fair share of croissants, tea cakes, and brownies that I couldn't try anything else. I love that they incorporate halva into so many of their baked goods. The house latte is great and puts me in an autumnal tizzy. I love cardamom in my coffee but the halva is an extra treat. Next time I'll come back for the bread. Service was top notch and they were too kind (and patient with all my questions). Lots of seating but it can fill up fast especially on the weekend with families. Great location with the Washington monuments and White House not too far if you want to go for a stroll after :) read more
I've been frequenting Tatte Bakery at its various locations since discovering their first location in DC. All of their bakeries have a consistent selection of delicious food, baked goods, quality coffee, and clean and modern decor. I especially enjoy coming to the Arlington location for breakfast on weekends since it's close to home, and I can always rely on their tasty Lamb Hash Madame, Smoked Salmon Sandwich, and eye appealing artisan pastries paired with a really good coffee-black or cafe latte. read more
Yes, it is a chain. However it is soooo good! Sure a little pricey, but worth the cost. More of a cafe vibe, but pleasantly so. I ordered food to go one time and ate here at a different day at one of the petite round white marble tables. To go orders are served in a box of delicacies. Yum. read more

The food was really great quality at Tatte Bakery & Cafe. I went with the smoked salmon, egg, and avocado breakfast sandwich. The fresh baked challah bread was phenomenal-soft and delicious. I enjoyed the herb cream and sprouts on the sandwich also. My husband got the egg, goat cheese, and tomato breakfast plate with sourdough, which was also perfect. We got matcha latte and chai latte for dine in, but they served them in to-go cups. I was looking forward to a warm mug with a pretty matcha design. They also got the size of my drink wrong. My husband was looking for some salt, which seemed impossible to find and a server had to track some down. There were definitely a few hiccups, but I would return since the food was amazing and all the fresh pastries looked beautiful. read more
