Ordered some chai with less ice. The barista had an attitude from the very beginning and I got my 3-sip chai to go in about 10 minutes. Did I tell you there was no customer ahead of me? Never again for a $9 garbage cup of mostly ice. read more

Ordered a dirty chai- strong on the chai, weak on the espresso. If I had simply ordered a regular chai, it would have been near perfect (not too sweet, bold chai flavor, cozy after taste). I guess the chai and espresso had an argument and broke up?! read more

I located this cafe through Google Maps and what a find! It is located on the corner of a building and a true hidden gem. Everything was made fresh to order. I ordered a caramel iced coffee, and it was so smooth and recharged me. I also ordered a ham and egg croissant. This took a few minutes to freshly make, and they brought it out to the table for me. It was much larger than I expected. The croissant tasted so fresh with ham, egg, and this really good special house sauce. It was very filling and not over the top in price. This spot had several people working outside on the front patio while enjoying their coffees. Inside is very casual and cozy. I would recommend this spot for anyone in the area wanting to grab a quick breakfast or coffee to go. It's a place that takes pride in what they serve. read more

This tiny little cafe right between Dupont and U St was a great stop to fuel up before shopping! I ordered the croissant ham and cheese. Loved that they pressed it to make it a lil crispy and the house sauce was the perfect mustard-y savory touch! My mom really enjoyed her omelette and latte as well. It's really small in there but very cozy and homey and is probably a great place to get some work done for a few hours! read more

This is my favorite coffee shop. It's cozy with comfortable lounge chairs and a chill patio right on 17th street. The service is good and thorough. They serve coffee in actual coffee mugs rather than paper when ordering "for here", which is not only sustainable, but adds to the cozy ambiance akin to the long-ago coffee shops of the 90s when you weren't sent away with a to-go cup. We never venture outside the DC mall. We found this place charming little place near our hotel and decided to try out the crepes. The Latte was most excellent - rich and frothy. I had the classic crepe and the Dijon mustard was superb. My wife enjoyed her "Morning Delight" with a Cafe Americano. The service was excellent - freshly made food and the the vibe was relaxed. Highlights: Dog Friendly, Kind Staff, Easy to Find, Outdoor Seating, Wi-Fi I hosted a work coffee here early in the morning. The place was easy to find from the DuPont Circle Metro stop. The owner was just opening up when I arrived. I asked to wait and use the Wi-Fi before ordering. He was kind and showed me the best outlets for my Wi-Fi. As I was waiting, several customers streamed in with their dogs to order their coffee to go. My guest had a similarly easy time finding the location and remarked that she thought it was new to the neighborhood. We both ordered the Summer Smoothie which was refreshing (a little watery). The highlight of this place was the well-shaded outdoor patio which was perfect for more quiet conversations out of reach of the clamor of the ordering station. The summer smoothie was freaking amazing - it had great flavor and texture. The turkey sandwich was just that. A much needed addition to 17th. In addition to great beverages, the food is amazing. I just had the ham and cheese. Best I have ever had. Great tasting ham, gooey cheese, a hint of mustard and toasted. I thought I was going to take half home but was so good I ate it all. I also had the Energy Smoothie. Tasted like a malt!! We have a new cafe with a French ambiance in the Dupont/Logan area serving sandwiches, salads, soup, coffees. Not a lot of indoor space - about 6 tables and counters plus outdoor seating. I liked the avocado egg wrap and latte, but the atmosphere was what drew me in - cozy, friendly, with French and Italian popular music and even opera playing the day I went. One caution for those who don't like spicy things - you have to tell them if you don't want the house sauce (they also use a chipotle aioli) because it is hot. All in all, it was fun to find a new place on the 17th Street strip, especially with many recent closures, and I'm hoping people will check it out. read more
