It's very cute with a great location. Staff was not at all friendly, but to be honest, they seemed overworked. Cappuccino was absolutely awful, but illy isn't great coffee. Croissant was fine, but nothing special and it would've been nice if it was warmed before serving. Other pastries and look good, but given the experience not sure I'd be back.

Café du Parc has a great location for those attending the National Theater, just a block away. Located in from of a Park with a great indoor and outdoor French ambiance. The waiters are attentive and happy to make recommendations and the drinks are amazing. The food is pretty good as well although I was expecting the onion soup to be denser in caramelized onion flavors. If you are planning to seat outside, carry some change as you might be approached by beggars.

I had such high hopes here. Solid 3.5 stars. 1. Reservation: they require it despite it is half empty 2. Food: 3.5 stars It isn't bad, but for the price, location and everything, it is not as good. - steak salad: meh - burger: was bad and I never thought I'd say this. Meat was fine the bread was terrible - French onion soup: it is just okay 3. Drinks: okay Decent selection of wine. Mixed drinks were just tolerable. 4. Service: 4 stars Professional, a bit too much 'checking-in' and won't even let us speak in peace. There was no need to keep checking us since there was no one and they didn't need their table back soon! Just felt rushed or pushed to order more. For 2 people, we bought a lot! 5. Dessert: 4 stars - creme brulee was very buttery.. it was mildly off. Hard to explain, but just not it. - cake: dry! - cappuccino and tea all came out nicely For such an upscale place, it was disappointing. Great view from the window though! You can't see anything sitting.. you gotta get up to see through the window.

Visited on last trip into DC for Cherry blossoms and Cafe du Parc was on my list, small and adorable and everything we ordered was great.

We went to this restaurant in Washington, and it was such a great experience. They started by serving us some delicious warm bread with butter it was amazing! Then they brought out our appetizers and main dishes. The soup was excellent I think it was onion soup, and it tasted wonderful. The atmosphere was also very nice cozy, elegant, and welcoming. If I ever travel to Washington again, I'll definitely go back there. Everything was perfect the service was great, the food was delicious, and the whole experience felt really special. I truly loved it!

My friend and I were on Penn Ave for a 5k and had an hour to waste before the race kicked off. We found this coffee spot just a few blocks away from Freedom Plaza and am glad we did. The place is nice, clean and has a good amount of seating. They have beautiful pastries and the chai latte I had was exactly how I like it (creamy and sweet). It looks like they have a restaurant upstairs

Saw this place while ona big bus tour and made sure to come back to visit The staff was exceptional! As soon as I walked in, with my elderly mother, we were greeted and was able to take my mother and I to the upper level, which was really neat. They had an elevator to take handicapped or mobility challenged folks to the top floor. Bathroom on the top floor is nice for those without mobility issues. For those with mobility issues, recommend hitting the restroom on the bottom floor before going upstairs for Ease of access. The staff is quite friendly. The food was quite nice and the non alcoholic drinks were really refreshing. Cucumber. Yum. Above everything, the staff is what sold me to come back again. Quiet with soothing environment. I would like to stop back in the evening to get the gist of the experience in the evening as well. 4 stars.

I came here with my son and his roommate after walking DC to view the sights in Dec when it's cold. I figured we could stop in to warm up with a hot beverage and that's what we did. The kids had hot chocolate and I had a latte. There was a bit of a wait with other customers having the same thought it seemed. All of the tables and seating were filled to where it was a challenge to find a seat but we eventually did. It's in a convenient spot right off the street and next to the Willard Hotel with easy in/out access.

We just came here to grab something to drink and we ended up getting hot chocolate. It was perfect. It taste so good on a nice cool day. It was not busy, which means that our drinks were attended to in a reasonable time. Inside is very nice the tile floors and the styling/decoration is pretty cool as well.

Came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and to my surprise, it was not very busy at all. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a couple light dishes while people watching. The food was good- nothing amazing, but service was pretty slow. It took some time for someone to initially come over and also to close out the check.

Café du Parc is a French Bistro/Brasserie located in a semi-detached building at The Willard International Hotel in Washington, DC. It's a handy place to eat if you are staying at the hotel, and you might want to give it a try even if you are not. There's a small grab and go area downstairs where you can get a coffee, sandwich, or pastry. The offerings here are very nice, and compare with high end coffee shops in the area. There's a small dining area downstairs as well, and out front there's outdoor seating that would be nice in suitable weather. Unfortunately, it wasn't available when I visited. Then there's the larger dining areas upstairs which seat more people than one would think. The menu is limited, but adequate. One can find some good choices. It should be noted that the menu and pricing are the same as the Round Robin Bar in The Willard, so you can eat at either place. If you are an International Ambassador, you might get a free breakfast amenity. It's worth taking advantage of that if you do. The breakfast/brunch offerings were great, and included enough variety for a few days. The quality was great and the service fast and attentive. It's a bit pricy, but pretty much in keeping with quality establishments in the area.

Came to cafe du parc and it was overall a good experience. It's a very cute upscale French bistro vibes where you're able to get your bang for your buck. My recommendation is to get the garlic butter mussels. They are so buttery and the amount you get is worth the money. The bread on the side is so crispy and buttery as well. There were a few Sandy mussels at the bottom so just beware but exceeded expectations. Had the Willard burger which was not super special. It was a regular burger (needed just more sauce and wish the burger was juicer) but the fries were incredible. They were so skinny yet crispy. The chocolate cherry macaron was a great dessert to share between two people. The amaretto ice cream packs a punch and there is a good balance between the cherry and chocolate (and it doesn't taste artificial at all). Our server Adilia was incredible. She made sure me and my friends needs were met, and was so funny.

Stopped here for lunch after a morning tour of the White House. It is a large restaurant and we thankfully were quickly seated despite not having a reservation. The restaurant has cute French bistro vibes. I really enjoyed my moules frites and thought it was a pretty large portion. My family members ordered burgers and they all enjoyed them. Service was just fine. This restaurant is one of the better lunch options near the White House and I'm glad we found it!

I've been a few times over the years, and here are some notes from my most recent visit. I got a last minute reservation for 4 people at 7 PM on a Sunday, thanks to Resy notifications. They sat us in the back, which is not the best seating area, but sometimes you take what you can get. The back area is not the most spacious or prettiest area. I sampled a carafe of red wine, a cheese plate, the delicious (free) bread basket, the black bass grenobloise, and trout amandine. The carafe was perfectly fine; I'm not into wine enough to judge. The cheese plate ($6.5 per piece) was an okay size and came with some honey, jam, marcona almonds, and four slices of bread -- the bread was different from the white and cranberry-walnut in the main bread basket; this one was a smaller loaf, sliced thin, with some grains and apricot (?) in it. There are apparently 11 different cheeses to pick from, which the waiter had to recite to us. A small, printed cheese menu would be welcome here. We only heard about 5 of the cheeses before we decided to just pick some, because who wants to listen -- and remember -- the spiels about 11 different cheeses? The Black Bass Grenobloise ($34) had pomme puree, capers, and lemon. It was ok but I preferred the trout. The Trout Amandine ($36) had toasted almonds (lots), haricots verts, lemon brown butter. It was a classic rendition and it was great. Service was friendly, if a little slow.

Although they offered us the elevator, it was located on the opposite side of the restaurant, making it a bit difficult. I asked if it would be possible to move to the first floor, and they kindly accommodated our request, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were just as good. The portions are quite generous, so if you're not a big eater, you may want to consider sharing a dish. One thing to note is that the restrooms are gender-neutral. While they were very clean, I found this a little inconvenient when visiting with children. If you plan to go on a weekend, expect the restaurant to be lively and a bit noisy. Also, avoid the parking lot next door if possible--it was very chaotic and not worth the hassle. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience with excellent food, great drinks, and friendly service. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you enjoy French cuisine.

We arrived at 7:45 on a Saturday night to see if there was room for two or at least room at the bar. I wish the hostess had told us that we could wait at the bar for a table to open up, as we saw that's what many other patrons did, but she told us there was bar seating and high tops and so my husband and I went on up. We easily had our choice of two seats at the bar or a high top, and we selected a high top. After 5 minutes of no one acknowledging us, my husband and I told each other we would wait two more minutes before we would bail. Right as we were about to jump ship, a server came by and asked if we wanted menus. We said sure but it was just strange that no one greeted us, it was just "you want menus?" Lol. Another server brought us menus and asked if we would like water and a breadbasket. We said yes and after about 15 minutes, bread arrived. We chatted with the server about what drinks we should order; I ordered a French 75 and my husband ordered a special Sazerac. We also ordered the tuna carpoacio. After about 10 minutes, the server came back and to confirm if I wanted the soft side cocktail and if my husband wanted an old fashioned. We said we did not and corrected him. Then, a server tried to give our drinks to the table next to us and our server corrected him and brought steak tartare. And then he goes "oh wait, did you order this?" We said no and he asked if we wanted it because if not he had to throw it away lol. And then 5 seconds later, the tuna came. Both the tuna carpaccio and the steak tartare were delicious. But this was the entire evening: we ordered something, something else came. I ordered a glass of sparkling rose, and an espresso martini appeared on the house. We had to ask for our bill twice and when we got our bill, it was definitely someone else's. Finally, as we were preparing to go, the original server comes back and goes "here's your espresso martini." Like bro we asked you originally for the check and we are clearly leaving. Luckily, my husband and I had plenty of time before our show, it was a great atmosphere, and the food was super delicious. It was just such a comically bizarre experience and I feel like they are definitely losing money. I think we paid for half of what we ate and drank and probably ate and drank other people's food! Maybe we will go back? Maybe not lol

Buzzy but not overly loud, with stylish decor that sets the perfect mood for a relaxing brunch with friends or family. To kick things off, I had a mimosa and an iced latte. For food, we ordered the Escargots à L'ail (first timer with this!!!) It was six escargots swimming in a flavorful garlic parsley butter, with flaky puff pastry rounds for dipping. I was definitely nervous, but the flavors were rich without being overpowering, and the pastry added just the right amount of flavor. For the table, we shared the Warm Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese Ball served with honey and some decadent red wine caramelized onions. The combination of the creamy goat cheese, sweet honey, and savory onions was absolutely amazing. This was definitely a highlight and highly recommended for sharing.. One unique thing: they offer bottomless mimosas and bellinis for one hour. We don't see much of bottomless mimosas in VB, so I found this exciting. For my entree, I couldn't resist the B.E.C.C.: crispy bacon, creamy scrambled eggs (although I swapped in a fried egg), and gruyère cheese all piled on a freshly baked croissant, plus your choice of fresh fruit or Basque potatoes (the potatoes are great, by the way). It hit all the right spots. A buttery croissant, salty bacon, melty cheese, and the yolk from my fried egg just tied it all together. Service was top-notch: attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly without ever being intrusive. All around, this brunch was a winner! So glad we came here.

I found my food to be pretty good and my friends liked their orders. The wine selection is also very good. My order was pretty large though my friends' portions were smaller and I ended up being the only one eating as they finished and then the server grabbed their plates before I was finished. But what detracted overall from the experience was the ambience and service. Maybe because it was the weekend, but the restaurant is so loud you need to shout at each other. The cacophony of conversation, open kitchen, laughter, screeching and music just ruins it. The service is spotty. The gentleman bringing the food basically tosses it on the table and hopefully it slides to your place. Water is aggressively poured wherever the glass is even if they need to reach acrosss your face while you're speaking. Plus they grab your bread plate after appetizer even if there is bread on it and you want it. Apparently bread service is only for the first part of the meal. So food and drink was good, but overall experience was not. We decided we won't go back. BUT, it seems very popular so you will need to make that call. I suggest trying to get a table at the front of the restaurant.

More surprisingly, it was one of the toughest steaks I have ever eaten. At $49, that is unacceptable. The mashed potatoes were equally disappointing: bland, not buttery, and nothing like the rich French pommes purée I expected. We also ordered the carrots, but they never arrived. Interesting 'french' cafe/burger restaurant in Georgetown area. Overall glad I went but may or may…read morenot be back. Probably will only visit again if I'm craving a good burger and a beer. Got in on a random Sunday. There was a like out the door but within 5 minutes my party had a seat at the bar in the back. The bartender was a short, buff dark haired man. He was prompt in greeting us and getting the drinks out. 2 mimosas and 1 aperol spritz. They were fine. The burgers were excellent. Solid, slightly greasy and kinda small. Make sure to get an app or have someone in the party get a chicken sandwich (huge). The fish sandwich was tiny so the saving grace was half the chicken sandwich which a girl in our group couldn't finish. Lastly, the AC was struggling to keep up since the place was packed in the July summer. Overall a cute and cozy 'french' spot but not sure how authentic it is per my wife

I came here for National Oysters Day because I am an oysters lover. I called the day before to make…read moresure it would plenty of oysters & the male hostess confirmed it. I stopped by earlier during the tail end of HH to grab steak tartare & made a reservation for 7pm for my friends & I. I am unsure what the issue was with the female hostess today (likely under pressure from stress), but I do not think it is an excuse to be rude to customers. Additionally, when I returned back for my 7pm reservation, she told me "something happened" in the system & I would have to wait 45 mimutes. I asked was my reservation not in the system already since she rudely insisted that I make a reservation in advance. She said they were at capacity, but she still did not give a clear answer as to why my reservation was not in the system already. So I waited 45 minutes & an additional 5 to be seated. Upon being seated and set to finally place my order, I am being told that the oysters and the frozen cocktail are out for the day, at 8pm.... I had other friends coming far away thinking they would have the oysters & cocktail specials for National Oysters Day; one friend was coming 40 minutes away (from further out MD) & the other coming 26 minutes. Imagine if I wouldn't have contacted them immediately to let them know that the special we wanted ran out. They would have wasted their time coming far away for nothing. I am IMMENSELY & deeply disappointed in the rude service, lack of professionalism, and lack of communication with this establishment. I shouldn't have to wait until I am all seated to find out items ran out, especially for an "All Day" special. I waited an hour for absolutely nothing. I cleared my evening, thinking I would have a great time celebrating National Oysters Day, for nothing. Whole evening gone & time was wasted, left on an empty stomach. I will likely not return again and do not recommend others to come. This is my first time & absolutely last time.

I went with lamb. It was quite good. It had a spinach puree and something else but could have used a potato or something. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It's a really neat old building and atmosphere. Service was ok but nothing extraordinary. Do the dessert!!! Would recommend!!!

The vibes are reminiscent of an old school dining experience. My three qualms are that drink prices seemed unusually high ($20+ for a glass of bubbles) and that it was very dark and hot inside...to the point we were fanning ourselves. It was around 70 outside and warmer in. Our server was so sweet and very consistently checking in and making sure we had what we needed. The food was great. The oysters were fresh and briney. The omelet and Benedict were served perfect. The omelet itself was so fluffy and rich with the side salad being a perfect addition. Sadly, the fries were on the soggy side. A bonus was the complimentary bread, which was a crunchy baguette served with homemade butter. Overall it was a good experience and would be interested in trying dinner when the mood lighting makes more sense.
