TBH, I had no idea what I was ordering, so when it was delivered to my table Iookin' like my poached eggs were swimming in a bright yellow soup, I passed some judgment It's described as "Poached eggs in a creamy corn sauce, with baby spinach and zucchini, topped with heirloom cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, zhoug, Aleppo chili oil, and parsley. Served with housemade sourdough," but I didn't see any of the veggies and barely saw the eggs. And, again.. it looked like soup. Little did I know I was about to ingest the equivalent of culinary SUNSHINE! Guys, I don't even know how to describe the flavor... It was a little bit sweet from the corn, but then also a bit creamy. I love Tatte. It's pricey but good quality. There seem to be about 20 in DC now. It's really grown. This time we had our baby and I wasn't impressed with the lack of sides or anything to get for her. We asked for two eggs scrambled with cheese but were told we'd have to buy an egg prosciutto sandwich for $11 and tell them we didn't want any of the items. Um, no. The tuna sandwich asked for lettuce and told can't add lettuce. My husband asked for something not on his lamb pita, same story. Oh well. No customization at all, no subs. Makes business easier, but not as attractive for price point for customers. I'll remember to keep it to coffee and pastries from now on. Chicken pita was good, a bit heavy on the parsley but loved the dressing. Tuna sandwich was a hit. Pastries are always good. My pistachio latte was chewy bc it had grainy bits of pistachio in it. I arrived here for breakfast since my hotel I was staying at was within minutes of this bakery. Unfortunately, the stove was down here so I wasn't able to order a hot breakfast but made do with pastries and a black sesame cafe latte. Both items were yummy and of the highest quality. The interior is roomy, decorated modern and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The eatery has a coffee bar located towards the back and has a sizable dining room. Service by the entire staff was courteous and efficient. I really enjoyed my experience here and will visit their other locations in the D.C. area. read more

This Tatte is smaller than the Bethesda and Rockville locations, but just as lively and fun. Tatte seems to appeal to social butterflies and worker bees alike - lots of folks tapping away on their laptops amid the animated conversations. I had the Sunnyside Up grilled halloumi breakfast sandwich and a seasonal pistachio rose iced latte. Interesting and satisfying. My niece and nephew devoured their respective grilled chicken and salmon bowls - a great place to bring young adults for a relatively-inexpensive-but much-appreciated lunch. read more

Tatte has great food. Today I had a house latte (iced) and a cherry almond scone. The scone was square, which was unique. The flavor was outstanding. It had a sweet icing that paired well with the modestly flavored body. The iced latte was good as well and complimented the scone nicely. The service could be a bit better. The staff aren't great about greeting people, or speaking to people (they do speak when spoken to but aren't outgoing like one would hope), or quickly cleaning tables - a must for such a busy place. If they tighten up their customer service skills they will be five stars for sure. read more

We got the broccolini & hummus squash pita. It was fantastic! I was expecting it to be messy what with it being all stuffed inside the pita, but it held together perfectly (no mess!). I also got an Americano, and it was excellent--on par with my regular coffee haunts. It was quite busy when we arrived, with a line of 7-8 people. However, I was up to the register in under 10 minutes, and they had both our coffee & food to us within 20 minutes after that. Impressive! read more

We love Tatte from trips to Boston and knew this would be a kid-friendly option on this trip. We went early, arriving a bit before 8am which was definitely the right decision. It was calm and easy to find a table, but by the time we left, it was wildly crowded and unenjoyable, especially to tackle with a toddler. For drinks, we got the black sesame latte and the pistachio latte, both were on their seasonal menu and both were delicious. We also grabbed a few of their pastries, and the favorite at the table was the jelly filled donut. While in DC, I wanted to stop by my company's office and I knew I couldn't arrive empty handed so I came into Tatte to purchased some baked goods. The lady at the register helped me get lots of cookies and pastries together and my colleagues at the office were very happy. It's not cheap (each cookie was over $3) but that's to be expected in an area like this, so it wasn't unexpected. Solid visit this time. read more

We visited Tatte several times during our weeklong stay in DC and were pleased with every sweet treat we ordered! We typically visited early evening and I especially appreciated that the desserts were made onsite as it kept a steady flow of desserts available throughout the day, unlike other bakeries that would run out by 4pm. There is plenty of indoor seating inside their beautifully decorated space which it both light and airy. I love Tatte in Boston and this is one of my fav locations in DC. It is located in Dupont circle area so they seem to get alot of foot traffic. The workers here are nice and took my allergies into consideration. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your meals and coffee. I usually get the egg sandwich which has cheese and bacon and its very tasty. I tried their Cappuccino for my first time and man oh man it is very tasty! I usually get the iced latte. I honestly have been trying to grab something from them for a while. Since it was my 1st visit, i ordered 2 rolls. One was a cinnamon with nuts and the other had dark chocolate on the roll (I know I don't have the names exactly right). The cinnamon roll looked pretty but on the dry side and very dense. The chocolate one was tiny bit moister but dense as well. It's like they needed more fat aka butter. I may try their savory items next time and can find parking around them. read more

There are two restrooms but there were long lines for them at all times around lunchtime. In terms of the food, I got a BLAT and an iced latte. The BLAT honestly looked better than it tasted. I was quite disappointed. It felt bland and had a weird taste that I can't exactly describe. I just know I didn't like it much. So our hotel room wasn't ready yet, so we left our luggage with the concierge and got a recommendation for this place. Definitely spot on. I'll date myself but I remember when this used to be a Starbucks wayyyyyy back when I lived here. I'll say, however, that having Tatte is a positive change. Had an awesome experience here this weekend. I tried the seasonal latte, ginger and date oat latte as got it "less sweet". The flavors were definitely there and authentic to the title. I just wish it wasn't so gritty, I guess the mix of oat milk and the ginger left it a little thicker than expected. They had really nice 2025 calendars! So cute and I grabbed one! Of course it's impossible to leave Tatte without being tempted by the sweets.....I was in a chocolate-y mood and ordered the brownie with walnuts. I also got a regular brownie, a nut loaf (more like a tart filled with different candied nuts), fruit tart with half a fig on top (unique!), and a blueberry lemon pavlova. Service was quick and they are certainly used to being busy and cranking out orders. However, the lady behind the counter was very nice and helped me with some recommendations in picking my desserts. I had a lovely experience! This location is so pretty, even the outside of the building must have been an old bank because I almost didn't notice it was a tatte. Right on the corner and immediately vibe. You walk in and the bakery goods are front and center (always a good sign), and even though there was a bit of a line, it moved quickly. The carrot cake itself was good, just no hint of the hot honey flavor. I was ready for a little sweet heat moment. Maybe it was just an off day though, because I'd definitely come back to try more. The vibe is nice. Contemporary and high end. The baked goods looked amazing. The caramel latte and chai latte were mostly milk and not much flavor--but hot. The lemon raspberry pavlova was okay. The meringue part was hard but over all pretty good. The Greek pancakes were okay. A little dry but the pear compote and ricotta cream was a very nice addition. The honey was sparse. My husband enjoyed his sausage and egg sandwich. He also had the pear tart which was okay. The person who took our order was friendly but I don't think English was his first language and I think our communication was lacking a little, but it was okay. Not his fault.
