I was looking for a place to get a quick breakfast while staying in DC and saw this pop up. The breakfast sandwich was excellent and even better was the homemade scone that I ate later in the day as a snack. The scone was probably one of the beat I've had. I also had a great latte too. This location is pretty busy but still got my order prepared quickly.

Charming interior, feels like a really clean subway station. Kind staff. Order at counter, take a number and wait for food delivery, bus table yourself. Nice breakfast menu. I had a breakfast sanwich: eggs my way, bacon, and cheese on sourdough toast. And, a bottle of tgeir mint lemonade. Sandwich was delicious. Eggs cooked as requested. Nice experience.

We love Tatte from trips to Boston and knew this would be a kid-friendly option on this trip. We went early, arriving a bit before 8am which was definitely the right decision. It was calm and easy to find a table, but by the time we left, it was wildly crowded and unenjoyable, especially to tackle with a toddler. For drinks, we got the black sesame latte and the pistachio latte, both were on their seasonal menu and both were delicious. We also grabbed a few of their pastries, and the favorite at the table was the jelly filled donut. Avocado toast was just okay, but the poached eggs on top were done perfectly and I felt that the prices were fair.

We got the broccolini & hummus squash pita. It was fantastic! I was expecting it to be messy what with it being all stuffed inside the pita, but it held together perfectly (no mess!). I also got an Americano, and it was excellent--on par with my regular coffee haunts. It was quite busy when we arrived, with a line of 7-8 people. However, I was up to the register in under 10 minutes, and they had both our coffee & food to us within 20 minutes after that. Impressive!

We got the pistachio latte and croissant and both were delightful. However compared to other locations, this one was incredibly busy. Luckily we were able to find a table but it certainly felt like all of DC was present here. The latte was exactly what I needed on a cold day.

Great food! Great people!!! The atmosphere is great at the West End! Tatte Bakery & Cafe is one of my wife and I favorite places to eat when we visit DC. Turkey BLAT with no bacon or avocado is my go to sandwich with the oatmeal and walnut cookie and an espresso double shot.

    Raspberry Pastachio Tart

This is probably the best bakery in DC. We have ate here 4 times in the past 2 days. We had the Shashuka, Carrot Honey Cake, as well as the Chocolate Croissant and the Savory French Toast, but our favorite was the passion fruit mousse tart.

Good service. Loved the natural light that comes into the bakery making it very bright. Abundance of seats with a patio outside. Pastries were good, short rib grilled cheese was on point, and their iced pistachio latte was tasty.

    Lemon Blueberry Pavlova

Was in town and wandered in to get a dessert to go. The Lemon Blueberry Pavlova looked interesting, and it was light like air. Never had anything like that and I was researching recipes after trying it. Counter service was efficient. Went back to my hotel so I didn't get a chance to experience the atmosphere. The dessert case has a lot of options. You could spend hours here and gain so much weight, but it would be worth it.

I came here to meet my second mother / grief counselor / Stephen Minister, on my last trip to DC, and we both loved Tatte! I see I already added one photo of my orange tart to Yelp, as you can see, and I also took a not aesthetically pleasing photo of a delicious Kouign Amann, that I tried on a separate day, that I will defer to other Yelpers to visually portray, as my photo is not as good as theirs, though my pastry was as equally delicious. ;) It's a popular venue, with fast service, and tables inside & outside, but you could be waiting awhile, given its deliciousness & its popularity!

Tatte may be a chain but it still has all the aspects that make it feel like a cozy cafe. The interior is stunning and you will see people meeting friends or colleagues here. They have a plethora of pastries but my favorite is the cheesecake. Their drinks are cheaper than the ones at the mermaid chain and so unique! I couldn't help but come here over and over. The pastries are sweet but not too sweet.

    Turkey BLAT

Overall a great place with good pastries and sandwiches. The coffee was not my favorite, mainly because the service was slow and my order was made incorrectly at first, but the baristas fixed it. It still tasted like a pretty meh coffee to me. The ambiance in this location is modern and bright, and the pastry counter is located right in the center when you walk in. It is a great spot for a quick stop before visiting other places in the area.

This was a better experience than the other Tatte I visited. While in DC, I wanted to stop by my company's office and I knew I couldn't arrive empty handed so I came into Tatte to purchased some baked goods. The lady at the register helped me get lots of cookies and pastries together and my colleagues at the office were very happy. It's not cheap (each cookie was over $3) but that's to be expected in an area like this, so it wasn't unexpected. Solid visit this time.

They are open until 1 PM on Saturdays, we reached at around 11:30 AM and I was half hoping for them to be out of most items. Fortunately, even though they were super packed, we were able to find all of the items we were looking for - thanks to the hard working staff as they continue to make their pastries until closing - unlike so many other bakeries these days that make a certain amount and call it a day! Now to the food, everything we had was absolutely phenomenal! I am not a donut person but I loved theirs as they were very flavorful and weren't too sweet. I definitely prefer their Ube and Pandan over the Black sesame donut. The Matcha chocolate croissant and the Ube Kouign Amann were my favorites of the bunch! I cannot recommend them enough, this will surely be my first stop every time I am in DC!

The space is a pretty cute, modern café with cherry blossom décor and a great mix of sweet and savory pastries. We honestly tried almost everything Garlic Scallion Bun - Soft, lightly toasted with just the right crunch. Inspired by a Taiwanese garlic bun, it was super easy to eat and one of my favorites (9/10). Matcha Chocolate Twice-Baked Croissant - A rectangular croissant absolutely loaded with matcha and chocolate, topped with matcha powder. It was almost a bit too heavy on the matcha for me, and the bitterness overpowered the chocolate. Banana Chocolate Twice-Baked Croissant - Banana cream on top with banana chocolate inside. Pretty straightforward--tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a banana chocolate croissant. Ube Cheese Kouign Amann - Unique sweet-and-savory combo. The ube adds a subtle sweetness while the cheese gives it a creamy balance. Rich and slightly dense, and I just wished there was a bit more filling to balance the pastry. Miso Garlic Salted Bread - One of my top picks. Savory, buttery, and paired with a slightly sweet brioche-like base that balances everything really well. Elote Bread - Corn-topped savory bread with a nice sweetness and texture. This and the miso garlic bread were tied for my favorites. Strawberry Passionfruit Kouign Amann - Fruity and rich, but a bit filling overall. I just wished there was more filling to balance the pastry. Sugared Donut - Simple and classic, just a soft, sugary donut done right. Drinks: * Strawberry Matcha & Mango Matcha - Both layer fruit puree with matcha, but the flavors stay quite separate rather than blending together. * Vietnamese Coffee with Cold Foam - Strong coffee base with strawberry-flavored cold foam. It's pretty sweet overall with less of a coffee-forward taste, but still smooth and enjoyable. * White Mocha Latte - More coffee-forward compared to the sweeter drinks, which I actually preferred. Overall, I loved my visit--great spot for both savory and sweet pastries with creative flavor combinations and a lot to try. I definitely preferred the savory items over sweet here particularly the garlic scallion bun!

I was so excited to try some of these harder to find pastries. I had a Turkish beef börek and a cheese finger börek. They warmed them up for me, but they still weren't very warm - I'd probably ask for them to warm them up twice next time. The beef börek was good; the cheese finger börek was good, too, if maybe a teensy bit dry. I also got one of their signature coffees. While these coffees sound interesting and delicious and creative, I wish there an option or two that weren't as sweet. I tried the Sultan's Velvet, which was just way too sweet for me. Next time, I'll stick to a classic coffee - an americano or a cappuccino - since they have it all. There's quite a bit of seating - some downstairs, some upstairs, and some outside. I sat down and read my book while I enjoyed my pastries. It's definitely the kind of place that is comfortable to sit and enjoy. The customer service was friendly and fast. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by Caspian Crust. Georgetown is lucky to have several pastry shops/bakeries, but Caspian Crust is different and stands out. Its focus on Turkish and Azerbaijani pastries means that there's something for everyone - some classics for those folks who like what they like with their coffee, more savory pastries with meat or cheese or olives, and some sweet but less common pastries as well. Great flavors and variety. It's also cozy, comfortable, and casual, with good customer service. I'd be happy to return.

Anyway, she went through explaining various pastries and had a couple Turkish ones as well. I went with a pistachio baklava and a slice of honey cake. Honestly, I wanted to try all the cakes and even though they say honey cake is their most popular, there were a few that looked more appetizing. However, slightly convinced by the one other customer there eating her slice of honey cake, I decided to try it. I've only had honey cake once before so I won't act like I know what's best but that time the layers were thinner which I prefer but I like how it wasn't overly sweet despite it being honey forward.
