Since the cherry blossoms bloomed I wanted to check out levain cherry scone, and if I remember clearly if you get a drink you get cute tote mini bag. I enjoyed my cherry scone, it was delicious. The best scone ive had in a long time plus I had an ice chai latte and it was good. The service was great!

I love this spot! It's cozy with minimal seating. It's quite popular so there's usually a line. However it is always worth it. My cookie was toasty to perfection-- the chocolate just oozes in your mouth! My only qualm was that someone sat and brought their 4 dogs, this is out of Levain's control but it had the store smelling like wet dog... but you can take your cookie and eat it outside so no worries!

5 stars for franchise consistency ! no matter what city im in levain is consistently GOOD! I got my go to cookie the dark choc x pb and i tried the Cherry Black Iced tea and it was good! I love when brands maintain a standard of quality across locations ! and to kick off spring with purchase of a cherry iced tea and a cookie or a scone u get a free mini cherry blossom tote while supplies last! and they still have a few! also service was fast and friendly and the store was clean ! would definitely come back!

This place is always awesome. My favorite cookie of all time. I am the "Cookie Monster". Been to a few of the locations and I can say, their consistency is something to be admired. Always clean, always awesome staff, always amazing.

Levain cookies are dense enough to be cakey but still manage to retain a soft, buttery texture. I'll give them credit for texture, but for me, the flavor is overshadowed by the excessive sweetness. The notes of butter, vanilla, and roasted walnut would come through much more clearly with a milder level of sugar.

SO GOOD. First time I had levain was in New York and I loved it so when I saw there was one in Georgetown I knew I had to go. Their cookies are big and the texture is perfect (I'm a sucker for sweet treats). The outside is crispy and the inside is chewy, would definitley recommend eating it while it's still warm. There can sometimes be a long line but when I went a bit after lunch, there were 2-3 people in front of me and the cashiers work fast. There's places to sit inside the bakery, though limited. I've had the regular chocolate chip cookie before too and it was delicious. If you're a big chocolate person, I would recommend the dark chocolate chip. I almost blacked out and ate the whole cookie!

OK, I know it's a session indicator to willingly pay for a 7 dollar cookie, BUT I DON'T CARE!?! I'm literally a broke college student making button or nothing and I would spend my hard earned pennies on this cookie every day if I could. Look, I'm literally a political science major learning about how TikTok trends and American capitalism are the biggest evil (I can go on rant about how Crumbl cookie is terrible for small businesses).... But I fear I fallen for Levain bakery.... THESE COOKIES ARE SO GOOD BRO. THEY'RE RICH AND GOOEY AND THEY HAVE THE PERFECT AMOUNT OF CRUNCH ON THE OUTSIDE BUT THAT PERFECT BITE IS SO MELTING AND I CAN'T DESCRIBE IT. I'VE NEVER HAD SUCH A THICK COOKIE BEFORE. do yourself a favor and try the coconut caramel chocolate chip. That thing will change your life...

I had a great experience at the Back Bay Boston location, but unfortunately not at the Georgetown one. I stopped by last week for a quick bite, and the cookie was hard and not gooey like it's supposed to be. Such a bummer

this is a very solid cookie. levain is a popular chocolate chip cookie chain, and my favorite is their chocolate chip walnut cookie. it's a large cookie, made to share, and served warm with dark chocolate and walnuts. it has a really interesting texture profile. honestly, i would totally recommend trying it if you get the chance. for me, it is a bit on the heavier and more filling side for a cookie. i usually prefer smaller, soft-baked cookies, but these are definitely a crowd favorite. levain has a strong name and a lot of recognition, and you can really see why. it's great to get a bunch of these cookies to share with a group. the locations can be on the busier side, but the taste of the cookies definitely makes up for it. since they're in many major cities, i would absolutely recommend trying them if you have the opportunity.

I absolutely love Levain and if you love chunky cookies, you will too!! We've had every cookie on the menu and they've all been spectacular. My favorite have been the lemon one they had during spring and the Rocky Road they have during summer. They're chunky, crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, without feeling undercooked. Also, adding the ice cream to them goes really well! ( my kid had that, but unfortunately I don't have a picture of it. It was great. They're moist and chewy, I love them. Unlike other cookies, these actually are flavorful, not just loaded with sugar. Also noteworthy, the quality is great regardless of where you get them. We've had them in NYC and in Georgetown and they've been great in both places. The shop is really clean and the staff is friendly and helpful if your unsure of what to get. I highly recommend this cookie shop!

Always delicious baked goods and fast and friendly service. I used to go to the one in NYC which was just as excellent. I highly recommend the lemon cookie!

A box of goodness. Eight tasty cookies including two chip chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, chocolate, peanut butter, chocolate chip walnut!

I am so glad I do not live in walking distance to Levain bakery! If I did, it would be problematic! The cookies here are absolutely divine. The two chip chocolate chip, the chocolate chip walnut, and the oatmeal raisin are all top choices for me and my family! But, I have yet to have one cookie from this bakery that was less than five stars! The other perk to this location is the awesome customer service that I receive every time I visit. If you happen to be in Georgetown and the line is not grossly long, stop in and treat yourself, and a friend, to the best cookies in the DMV! The only downside to this location, if I had to name one, would be pathetic absence of parking. But, if you are walking, and want to grab a cookie and have a sit down, there are a few seats/benches that are available for you to enjoy your cookie in the moment!. They also display a few swag items that you may want to purchase to commemorate your visit. This is a great spot to visit after a successful dinner date. The location is small, but the line moves relatively fast. You won't be disappointed. Happy eating/treating.

So, I stopped into to Levain because since I moved to DC everyone said that it's a must have. I must be completely honest. The cookies were good but honestly tasted run of the mill. I have had better cookies and unfortunately nothing about the cookies stood out to me. The inside is what you'd expect; not much space for seating and a myriad of tourists trying to get their hands on the cookies, quite busy. The staff was friendly and the space was clean. If you need a sweet treat, absolutely stop in but I wouldn't make it a tourist destination.

Does anyone know when they'll be bringing back their café con leche cookie?

Their website says a gift box of a 4-pack of cookies is $27. Is that really just 4 cookies for $27?…

Neil, I believe I paid around $4.40 with tax for ONE cookie at their store so needless to say they're pretty pricey. Their cookies are quite chunky though. However, not really sure why a 4-pack would cost more per cookie than one at the store.

I was first introduced to this place a few years ago by my brother who lives in DC. And, let me tell you, It was love at first bite! I absolutely love coming here anytime I'm in town. I always get the German Chocolate Cupcake. It's not the traditional German chocolate that you'd expect. The chocolate cake itself is a rich moist decadent, dark chocolate. Not the traditional light and airy cake that is German chocolate. But, it's still delicious! The frosting is pure perfection! It has notes of coconut, caramel, and sweet vanilla. It's so unbelievably moist, decadent, and delicious that you wish that you had 2X as much. But, it'd be too rich at that point. They truly have the well balanced cupcake down. They have plenty of seating. So, if you're not in a rush. Sit down and enjoy the ambience. Also, they have a really nice coffee bar with incredibly delicious coffee, tea, and tasty treats. So, make sure to check it out. The cupcakes are a little pricey. But, don't let the price tag scare you away for enjoying a once and a lifetime treat. They're worth every penny! We honestly tried almost everything Garlic Scallion Bun - Soft, lightly toasted with just the right crunch. Inspired by a Taiwanese garlic bun, it was super easy to eat and one of my favorites (9/10). Matcha Chocolate Twice-Baked Croissant - A rectangular croissant absolutely loaded with matcha and chocolate, topped with matcha powder. It was almost a bit too heavy on the matcha for me, and the bitterness overpowered the chocolate. Banana Chocolate Twice-Baked Croissant - Banana cream on top with banana chocolate inside. Pretty straightforward--tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a banana chocolate croissant. Ube Cheese Kouign Amann - Unique sweet-and-savory combo. The ube adds a subtle sweetness while the cheese gives it a creamy balance. Rich and slightly dense, and I just wished there was a bit more filling to balance the pastry. Miso Garlic Salted Bread - One of my top picks. Savory, buttery, and paired with a slightly sweet brioche-like base that balances everything really well. Elote Bread - Corn-topped savory bread with a nice sweetness and texture. This and the miso garlic bread were tied for my favorites. Strawberry Passionfruit Kouign Amann - Fruity and rich, but a bit filling overall. I just wished there was more filling to balance the pastry. Sugared Donut - Simple and classic, just a soft, sugary donut done right. Drinks: * Strawberry Matcha & Mango Matcha - Both layer fruit puree with matcha, but the flavors stay quite separate rather than blending together. * Vietnamese Coffee with Cold Foam - Strong coffee base with strawberry-flavored cold foam. It's pretty sweet overall with less of a coffee-forward taste, but still smooth and enjoyable. * White Mocha Latte - More coffee-forward compared to the sweeter drinks, which I actually preferred. Overall, I loved my visit--great spot for both savory and sweet pastries with creative flavor combinations and a lot to try. I definitely preferred the savory items over sweet here particularly the garlic scallion bun!

The beef börek was good; the cheese finger börek was good, too, if maybe a teensy bit dry. I also got one of their signature coffees.
