Yummy deliciousness

Bluestone Lane Cafe really took me on a delightful journey loved the ambiance very cozy , the aroma of fresh coffee in the air and coffee filled to the brim. The Cinnamon Almond Lattes were very delicious and cutesy , rich, creamy, and topped with a heart shape to celebrate Valentine's and I got a chocolate cookie that was mouth watering , the service was exceptional and all together my overall experience was great, the next time I pass through NW I will definitely stop in again.

I love bluestone lane and like that this location is more of a formal sit down vs coffee shop feel like the others. You can stop in if you just want to grab coffee though! I know I can always count on their drinks being good! My favorites are the matcha latte (I think they have one of the best in the city) and the flavored lattes that are seasonal. The vibes are great in here because it's never super packed so you can get a seat and the seating is glass so you can see outside. Staff is friendly and attentive. Bathrooms are clean.

Very cute cafe! The cashier was working alone during a busy time and still made time to answer our questions and was very nice! We ordered a matcha latte and an iced latte with strawberry syrup. The matcha latte wasn't very good and tasted like almond milk. The iced latte was better! But still not the best latte, Maybe if we had come at a less busy time it would have been better.

Tasty breakfast! I had the avocado toast with bacon. It was tasty and very filling. I enjoyed the flat white as well. It was definitely a tasty breakfast!

This is a great breakfast spot and the service is super fast! The coffee was really tasty and the food was also great! It is a cool location that is also attached to the library. They have outdoor seating as well which is nice on a good day. I would definitely come back here again!

Bright, spacious, and airy, exuding sun-swept Australian cafe fare in a relaxing and welcoming environment, adjacent and opening into the West End Library. How cool is that! Bluestone Lane offers an experience akin to strolling through the beach on a Sunday morning in Manly across the water from Sydney and enjoying "Brekkie" or breakfast at a beachside cafe. The interior architecture is stunning and the space, adorned with floor to ceiling windows, is absolutely stunning. Service was sweet, unassuming but attentive. On a rainy Winter weekday I enjoyed a superb cappuccino and and a pretty darn authentic Aussie Brekkie, an Avocado Smash with feta, heirloom tomatoes and the freshest herbs on perfectly toasted multigrain. The delicious meal was drizzled with tasty EVOO and chili flakes. It-was-perfection!

Really cute cafe but is pretty formal! They have alcohol/wine but I just stopped in for a coffee. I got the iced cinnamon cookie crumble latte.

Bluestone Lane is amazing! My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. We particularly were drawn to the fact it is Australian themed and founded by an Australian Footballer as Australia is our favorite country we have yet to set foot. My wife and I finally went for Sunday brunch before a matinee show at the Kennedy Center. The ambiance and decor is amazing and the service is fast and friendly. The food and drinks are also amazing. To drink we got the Bondi Blue and Berry Brekkie Smoothies, a large Cold Brew, and a large Melbourne Iced Tea. For food we got Banana Bread, a Soft Chili Scramble with Avocado and Brisket, and a Side Summer Salad. We look forward to certainly trying more food and drink items in the future. They also take InKind, but you have to let them know and they'll ask you to place an order as a take one in the app. We did not know this but the manager let us duplicate the order on InKind.

If you are a sweet person (lol) - you will love this place!! I think for me, based on what I ordered of course, the flavors of everything was slightly too sweet, which is why I have a 4 stars and not 5. Also, I wish there were more gluten free options, *however*, I am very happy they have at least some!! The ambiance is soooo cute - photo worthy for sure. So is the presentation of the drinks and food! Also, how can you not love that it is directly connected to a library?! Huge plus for me. At first the way ordering/seating went was slightly confusing for us (we didn't know whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated), however we eventually just sat ourselves and someone came up to us. Although, apparently you can also walk up to the counter and order and then sit! I'd check this place out for sure, and be mindful if you don't like your drinks super sweet, to make that known :)

Solid spot for a healthy breakfast or lunch. Service can be slow, and tables are often overlooked. I love the breakfast burrito and the chili scrambled eggs.

This is our quick, cute, yummy cafe for a quick and filling lunch or mid-day snack! I tried Bluestone lane quite a bit ago but I have still made the trip to go back a few times now! We live their avocado toast, pastries, and for some, their coffee & matcha! Super cute inside and the cashiers and staff are always patient and friendly whether in DC or Tysons! Solid 3.9/5!

This is a beautiful cafe! We were here on a rainy afternoon, which was brilliant because the window walls helped us appreciate the outdoors while still feeling cozy. The cappuccino wasn't the best I've ever had and the cocoa dusting may have depleted the foam, but it was hot and the young person waiting on us was very considerate. The cafe is a regular-sized open concept restaurant and has its own entryway, and the open concept is shared with a full-sized, DC library! Books and coffee go perfectly together.

This is a cozy place to have breakfast. This restaurant is connected to Public library which is make it easier to grab something to eat before or after going to library. Strawberry matcha is a must. It was so yummy. Coffee tastes great. You can either order at the table or by check in with the cashier. Cashier was friendly and answered all of our questions.

The service was very nice, and the ambiance had a nice feel to it. But when I had the avocado smash I felt there was too much spice.

Is there outdoor seating here? It looks like there is in the photos, but I just want to double check since I'm not comfortable with dining indoors yet.

Does anyone know what the ingredients are in their energy balls (peppermint, Goni, turmeric)? Or if it's gluten free and vegan?

Yes all gluten free and vegan! 100 cals per ball with 4 grams of protein.

Do they serve banana toast? I saw it in someone's Instagram picture. It had almond butter, bananas, cinnamon and honey.

Yes

Do they serve coffee in a cone? I just saw on instagram the NY branch does, so I was just curious.

No! Just in a cup :)

Do they serve breakfast all day?

Yes! Everything on the menu is available all day, except for the center portion (look at a picture of the menu and you will see what I mean).

Fantastic New American / European restaurant in a gorgeous space. I visited the Pembroke as part of…read morea work team dinner during Restaurant Week, and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, super friendly service, and great ambiance. The space is gorgeous; I love all the plants, and the light brown, light blue, and white color combination for their furniture makes the space look classy and modern. The light brown leather couches are comfortable, and I love the way they circle around the tables to create a natural, cozy booth. Our food was just as beautiful as the space. The Restaurant Week menu comes with an appetizer, main, and dessert. Given how indecisive I can be (and how expansive the normal menu is), I was grateful to have my choices narrowed down a bit. I started off my meal with the octopus. The octopus was remarkably tender and not overly chewy, and had a delightful char that gave it a slightly smoky flavor. They double downed on the smokiness with their burnt chili oil, which, alongside the lemon and salsa verde, gave the dish a wonderfully balanced smoky, savory, and slightly acidic flavor. The crushed potatoes had a lovely crispy shell on the outside and served as a great base for the tender octopus. The main course was probably the easiest choice of the evening -- I'm absolutely obsessed with branzino, so the second I saw it on the Restaurant Week menu, I knew that was what I had to get. The fish is beautifully broiled, with a nice, crispy skin and super tender, flaky flesh. It's topped with a few pieces of roasted garlic and a wedge of lemon. The fresh lemon juice, as well as the lovely side salad, offered a great pop of freshness to bring the whole dish together. And finally, for our dessert, I chose the chocolate torta. This wonderful dessert is remarkably rich and decadent, with a strong dark chocolate flavor. It's topped with a lovely marsala date sauce and scoop of sheep's yogurt ice cream, but still doesn't feel overly sweet. The sheep's yogurt in the ice cream offers a bit of tanginess, and I loved the addition of the candied walnuts for a bit of crunch.
