Great location, lovely ambiance, decent food... but the service was terrible. As soon as my plate was set down, I noticed a hair on it. When I pointed it out, the waiter seemed annoyed that I even mentioned it, even though it was obvious to everyone at the table. After quite a while, he brought back a new plate with no acknowledgment and no apology. Looking back, the hair wasn't even the worst part. The waiter had no manners, seemed like he hated his job, and was just rude. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled says a lot about a place. read more

As a barista myself..... Why is it so expensive yet poor quality? Got a cortado there and it's more like a macchiato - very foamy, steamed way too hot, espresso not dialed (or did not redial) so very bitter. The staff was chatting before a manager/ other staff noticed me to tell the register staff to ring me in... And they had the espresso prepared in the portafilter already before I order. So they did not ground the coffee fresh once order... Makes sense it's bitter. It's so low quality I'm in shock they get to charge it so much for a tiny cortado. Never coming here again even the cafe seems nice and many people work there. It's more a place to work/chill over actually about the coffee. read more

Ok...They claim to be coffee roasters, but the baristas were not knowledgeable. I was excited to see they offer POUR OVER brewed coffee. I asked what beans they offer, and was told: light, medium and dark. I was expecting single origin options. I asked if they had any single origin beans. Again, I was told, yes, light, medium or dark. I clarified again and asked, do you have Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. He said, yes, that is our medium roast. I really had to pull out this important information. I ordered and he didn't brew it properly. He kept taking long breaks, letting water empty out causing beans to cool below proper extraction temperature. The coffee didn't taste like freshly roasted pour over. It was a big disappointment. We dined in and waited a half hour to get our food and coffee. I ordered the CROISSANT SANDWHICH with eggs, bacon and avocado. It was tasty but very messy and I had to eat with fork and knife. It should be served open face My daughter ordered the FRITTATA WITH ZUCCHINI. She opted for egg white version. It was HUGE! You can easily share this. However it was bland and not very tasty. This was a very expensive breakfast. I had expected much better quality food and coffee for the money. Service was awful. It is quick if you order drip coffee and a premade pastry. The coffee quality is consistently good, and the interior is bright and chic. It's in a nice neighborhood as well and has definitely become my go-to spot. The coffee is a little pricier than at other coffee shops, but the quality and taste make it worth it. This place is beautiful! Inside is modern. I was actually surprised that their sweets were mostly cakes. I got an iced latte and some beans for home. The beans were freshly roasted in NYC. I can't fault them for that though I didn't think they tasted particularly fresh. I stumbled upon this cafe while walking to my conference. I absolutely love how much seating area there was to get work done. They have a great options for lunch and breakfast. This was ok. Went on a Saturday mid-morning. It wasn't empty but wasn't too full either. Most of the tables are large and had 1-2 people at each. Ambiance was nondescript nice. We tried coffee, pastries and breakfast. Coffee was fine but expensive- drip was over $5. Pastries were good. I was disappointed in the disposable cups and silverware for dine in orders. For breakfast I tried avocado toast and a breakfast sandwich. They were both pretty good quality with tons of avocado on them and a tasty side salad. Both were a bit pricey for what they were and took a long time to come to the table despite the many employees and relatively few patrons. WiFi didn't work for me without logging into a third party platform- no thanks Overall it satisfied the need at the time but unlikely that I will be back. Yes the prices are high, but the food and drinks hit every time and if you're just getting a drink, service is pretty quick. I visited this location multiple times this week and got various drinks, including the hot and cold version of the pistachio white mocha (so good). I also ordered the chicken Caesar wrap twice (moist, crunchy, big portion, makes for a great lunch). The chocolate chip cookie was good if you're a fan of that thick levain-style cookie. Fabrizio was excellent on this casual slightly cooler Sunday morning. He explained to me that the orange? marmalade pound cake with mint and something else on top had no filling inside. Blueberry cake had nothing inside beside cake and more crème. It is picky of me but it is a way for me to not overindulge too. He and many others are expertly featured on this corny TV backdrop. I wish my Louie could be stronger on maple syrup and the cookie with more flavorful strawberry filling. The cookies here are made fresh. For those cookies not used up they should totally TooGoodToGo them away if they don't already. I was too full from food at other places and the day before . So I did not choose any food on this day. The potato is exactly the oval shaped concoction that you get at McDonald's and not roasted fully. Onions and shallots -raw . Stay away from breakfast. First off, positives. I like the vibe of this place. Clean, open, modern, well-lit- all good things in a coffee shop. Comfy chairs and booths mean you could stay here for a long time chatting or working. I was doing the former! You arrive and order at the counter where an appetizing display of pastries awaits. I had seen a different sandwich on the online menu that sounded delicious but I didn't see it available in the restaurant itself. No worries. I sat down at a big table with a cushioned chair and waited. They called me up for my latte. It could've used more espresso and pumpkin spice flavor, it just tasted like hot milk. When my sandwich was brought out to me, it looked delicious. It was served with a little side salad too. My friend's sandwich also looked great. My other friend said the coffee was "too bitter" (I'm not sure what this means) and exchanged it for a hot coco which she said was better. My croissant sandwich was very buttery. Like, dripping. It was tasty but again, dripping. The bacon was a standout for sure. I don't think I'd go back since it was pretty costly and not delicious enough to make me a regular. I also don't live here. I didn't try any of the food but it had a few items on the menu that look really tasty. There's plenty of seats to choose and they also offer outdoor seating. The matcha latte was very good.
