They're very responsive, we can request a day before or even the same day, and they do their best to accommodate. As roofers, our schedule is heavily affected by weather, and they've been extremely flexible with last-minute changes or rescheduling when things shift. That reliability makes a huge difference for us. They're reasonably priced and dependable, honest, and we never have to worry about chasing anything down or not having what we need, they take care of it. They also handle trash pickup at our office, which has been a big help. They've been great to both us and our customers, and they've become our go-to for junk removal. Highly recommend.

They handled it all without hesitation and a positive attitude. Throughout the job, they were friendly, professional, and worked hard and efficiently. Our items were tightly accumulated in an outdoor home storage area over decades and we were discovering items we hadn't seen in ages. I've dealt with another moving company in the past where I suspected some jewelry went missing. They are the quickest at responses, very reasonable pricing, flexible with their schedules, all in all I am very satisfied and have asked them to move another thing for me as well. 10/10 recommend. You could say I have a lot of experience with movers as I inherited my father's personally woodworked furniture which added to my own collection that he made for me. I have a lot of sentimental (and heavy) stuff plus I have a herniated disc, so moving is even more overwhelming. And moving every year for so long has been so much less than ideal. I had a go-to mover but they didn't reply when I reached out so I figured I would try someone new out bc, maybe I can have options. Incredibly, Making Moves packed everything much more thoroughly and somehow the move seemed shorter...?! Even accounting for the shorter distance, this move was seriously fast but not lacking one bit in caution. And here is the kicker, it was less expensive too and the team was bigger. I still love the other mover but this team has beyond proved itself so I guess this is my first choice mover now. Treat this team right. They are in demand for a reason.

The second move involved coming the day before to pack up our kitchen, then moving our apartment furniture and packed boxes into our new house. Before the moves, Alfredo came over to assess how much stuff we had and then gave us a quote that was competitive and reflected the actual cost of the move. He had 4 guys do the move -- it's much cheaper to have more guys because they do the move faster and you spend less money. They guys were all very respectful and sweet. Both moves happened fast and efficiently and all our items were moved with great care. Nothing was broken or scratched and the guys remove their shoes before coming in the house. I will absolutely be using Alfredo and his team for all my future moving needs.

We had to go around the block to get to the entrance on Beretania Street. The driveway doesn't really have a sign. The lot is surrounded by a tall chain link fence. The worker was so kind and conversational. He apologized for not being able to pay me for the used glass from religious candles. He suggested that I take them to some industrial area. Well... if he wants to give away the decorative glass containers, he can. Maybe someone wants to use them as vases or pencil holders? Thanks for being so nice!

I don't want to give a recycling center one star since I'm such a believer in recycling and reusing things, but this was a really scary experience! A homeless man was following me around and then an Asian lady who had no front teeth tried to assault me. There seem to be a lack of green buckets, which is where you have to separate your recycling materials. The people there were hoarding all the green buckets. Literally, the lady who tried to assault me had five or six buckets and then cursed at me as I walked by. I didn't feel safe here. Sad because I've been here several times over the past years. I won't come back.

This location is super conveniently located and the facilities were always clean and well-kept. I really liked the 24 hr access so I could pick things up/ drop things off after hours and not deal with traffic. Jeff G is right johnny and his workers are thieves. His workers move stuff and when you are not paying attention. He will take whats valuable and use moving as a distraction as he scopes out what you have. Do your self a favor and use a reliable company. He totally ripped my girl friend off. Does not respond to texts acts like he doesn't know whats going. I have proof via text message he doesn't reply. And never pay him cash to do a job because he will take the money not do the job and says who is this? Really. If you like getting ripped off and over paying for a crappy moving job then see for yourself. He basically strong arms people for there valuables and your money. He tries to intimidate people. What he doesn't know is that I have video footage of him stealing my personal belongings. Hpd will be looking into this. And I pray that the law will charge him for theft and put him out of business. I would highly advise installing cameras leaving valuables out so he and his workers can get caught stealing. This is a huge problem and he and his company can finally get put out of business. My experience with Johnny The Mover was simply fantastic. Johnny and the team helped us move our office to a temporally location. I recommend Johnny The Mover for the following reasons. 1. Johnny beat all the competing estimates I received. 2. Johnny was most flexible with the time of the move with short notice. 3. Johnny can move pricey medical equipments that can cost as much as BMW 5 series per pop. He made sure he moved those items himself. 4. Additional services we requested that were associated with completing the move, such as taking down any wall mounted items were done with a response, "Yes, we can do that for you!" and a smile. :) 5. Johnny works one section/room at a time and ask to check if the job is 100% done with the particular section/room. Once that's done, he informs the team and they move on quickly to the next. They work very efficiently. 6. Lastly, after the truck is loaded with the last item, Johnny comes back for items that might have been missed. There were good amount of things we missed. He took all the items including a heavy duty construction bag full of trash. 7. Johnny finished move on time. I cannot praise Johnny The Mover enough. Moving is very stressful, at least to me, and Johnny took all the stress away. read more

Last month I chose Johnny The Mover to transport the contents of my apartment from Waialua to Pearl City, as they had been recommended to me by two friends who's opinions I knew to be reliable. Logan answered my queries and I booked them for the move. In my dealings with him, he was always extremely nice, polite, had a lovely manner about him and spoke beautifully. On the day, 3 guys arrived (on time) namely, Avery, Brandon and Kimo. Not only were they very nice and extremely efficient, they were super strong - and so FAST!!! I was most impressed!! It was perfectly clear from the get-go that these guys knew exactly what they were doing! Efficiency and Proficiency prevailed throughout the procedure and not only did the move go smoothly, everything was in tact on arrival! Very highly recommended on all counts -- price, professionalism, experience. Had to move from a building with a driveway that would not allow for vehicles over 6'6", thus most movers show up with the van at the bottom of the hill and a truck to shuttle and that was how I initially moved in, via three movers, a truck and a van and a lot of time on the phone by the head mover to get advice from the owner during the course of the move. It was costly and I was disappointed that there was damage to furniture. The move by Johnny The Mover was handled by courteous dispatchers, two experienced movers who were wicked strong (moved furniture without a shuttle truck) and knew how maneuver the furniture, professionally wrapped and packed and all at less than my prior move. This was my second time using Johnny The Mover, and the first time was also impressive, and those guys packed and moved my furniture from my condo, picked up more furniture at my realtor's home, and then efficiently moved everything into storage for me. I highly recommend Johnny The Mover without reservations. I called on Friday, they delivered my furniture on Saturday! The two gentlemen who delivered my sofa and two over-sized chairs were efficient, careful, and super courteous. Last time I moved a couch it took us 2 hours to get it up the stairs... these two guys were excellent problem solvers, which tells me they are well-trained and have plenty of experience. They had my sofa up two flights of narrow stairs within 15 minutes! No injury to themselves or the furniture or stair case! I have never encountered such great service with movers before. Getting a quote and scheduling an appointment through Jayne was fast and efficient. Response time was within 24 hours of my email. She listed the prices depending on how many hours the move was going to take, and the fees associated with it. I think for a two hour move and the amount we had, the pricing is reasonable. On the day of the move, the truck arrived on time, and they were ready to work. I estimated 2 hours, and the movers did it just under the 2 hour mark. Kona, Isaiah, and Huch were also fast, efficient, and polite. They handled all items with care, and were careful not to scratch anything. They carefully maneuvered around both homes to be sure not to damage any walls, doors, and doorways. I am so happy that we hired Johnny the Mover. The crew that came to our house was fantastic - on time, hard workers, careful, polite, patient, gentlemen- just a great group of guys. They worked from the moment they got out of the truck until the move was completed. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a move that is a stress-free as it can be. I told them that they made moving almost a pleasure and it was very true of these 3 fellows. (We had used the company once before about 3-1/2 yr. ago and they were terrific then, too.) I used johnny the movers in the past . The service is good. I needed help on short notice to bring my furniture back into my house and also set up three beds up stairs. They arrived on time and on arrival I was pleased to see three clean cut movers who were well groomed, courteous and not intimidating. They introduced them selves as Avery, kona and nick. I gave them a walk through of what I needed to be done,they were very attentive of my needs and even knowledgeable of home repairs I was attempting to do my self. I was pleasantly surprised when they offered to help me as well .They worked in a timely manner meticulously unwrapping my items one by one and placing them where I told them to. They swept the floors and took away the rubbish. I felt safe leaving them to finish without my supervision when I went to home depot to purchase items I needed. We just moved into our new condo, and I have to say... these movers were amazing! They showed up right on time, got straight to work, and had everything packed, wrapped, and moved in record time. They handled our two-bedroom move into a three-bedroom condo in just two hours... seriously impressive! They wrapped our TVs, protected our furniture, and even went the extra mile by rolling out carpet and taping the walls and doors in our new place to make sure nothing got scratched or damaged. I have never had a move that was not a huge headache and backache. Until i used Johnny The Mover. His crew were fast, professional and believe it or not very funny and sociable. They put me at ease by padding and shrink wrapping all my wooden furniture and glass objects for a low fee of only 20$ all my things were scratch proof. Johnny also gave me 20 free box's for packing which helped out alot. Plus on top of that his movers actually finish a hour early then Johnny's estimated so I gave that hour of money to the crew as a tip and boy they deserved it, the place i moved to was a six floor climb up elevator was broken (the movers didn't even complain "we eat stairs for breakfast" they said with a big smile). What can I say.. these 3 guys did an amazing job on moving my stuff. Very professional, and on time!! Actually, they showed up a little bit early! They plastic wrapped all my big stuff and nothing was scratched or damaged during the move. I would definitely suggest Jonny The Mover to anybody! Extremely reasonably priced and very fast at their job. The only thing that I did not research, and totally my fault, is that they are MOVERS. Not packers/movers. So they were a little bit shocked that I had stuff "ready to be packed up", and not ready to be moved. But they had extra boxes and I packed up most of what I could, as they loaded up the truck with my stuff that was ready to be moved. As a new company, Island Windows & Doors has to be very selective about who we use for various services to make sure we're getting all the value we can get for every dollar spent. Well, in the case of using Johnny the Mover, we are getting wayyyyy more value than what we're paying for, and we really appreciate it! Every month we have a new container of windows coming in, and every month we turn to JTM to make sure that our products get delivered to our customers undamaged and on time for installation. I had such a great experience with Johnny the Mover from start to finish. I initially requested a quote via Yelp and they got back to me quickly but I still wanted to shop around. After getting quotes and speaking with a few other companies, I decided to call Johnny the Mover. I booked through Logan who was super friendly and helpful. I ended up having to move my scheduled date and spoke with Logan again who was understanding and it was so easy, too easy, not used things being that smooth. When it came to moving day, they arrived on time, in fact early, didn't call to ask for directions or instructions and got RIGHT to moving. They were extremely efficient. I highly recommend AL and MANA from this company!!! They were on time, took careful care of our furniture as if it were their own, worked efficiently, friendly, hardworking, patient and strong! We had a lot of furniture and boxes, and the job should of had 4 guys instead of just 2. But they did it with just the two of them! Plus AL packed our stuff so perfectly...we only needed one load! They even took items that couldn't fit in my new place to another location to store. My bed and couch couldn't fit in our new place..and they were nice enough to try and then take it to another place temporarily. In the future we will use this company, and hopefully we will get AL and MANA again! I told both AL and MANA...I will be moving again soon so be better be ready to move our stuff again! read more

The entire staff and team were extremely kind and so hard working. From the start they were very professional. Scheduling was efficient and thorough, explained their services and pricing very clearly. The moving team was so hard working. You could tell from the start they were experienced. They really made me feel assured and at rest to know they took care of my belongings. I had donated some of my furniture to friends and they delivered it with no problem (total of 3 different spots). They lifted furniture up and down hilly spots...not an easy job but they made it look so easy. Most of all they were extremely kind. This is my third move with them over the last 20yrs and so it's good to know they continue to do excellent work. God Bless people like them read more

After reading all the reviews, I wanted to support a small local company so I chose The Movers. Evan and Jerrad were amazing! They were friendly, easy to talk to, professional, and very efficient. They helped me move a queen-size bed with frame, dresser, and two nightstands. They even disassembled the furniture at my friend's house in town and reassembled everything at my house on the west side. Even though it was raining, they stayed positive and handled everything with care. They wrapped each item in plastic for protection and even had a large protective transport cover for the mattress. You can tell they truly care about their customers and their work. I would definitely hire them again for any future moves. If you're looking for a local company to support, Evan and his team at The Movers are the ones to call. Their pricing was reasonable and more affordable compared to the other companies I looked into. They're also working on getting their own company truck soon, which will be great advertising for them because they absolutely deserve the recognition! I also want to mention that Selah was the person I communicated to arrange the details of what I needed. She reached out to make sure we were all on the same page and called me the day before the move to confirm everything, which I appreciated since that seems to be their standard process. If you use them, make sure you protect your own furniture by wrapping it well. This is the mistake I made. Also our tv was damaged, no cracked screen, we just have a vertical line during certain images on the left edge of the screen now. It was an expensive oled, we spent over 4k for it. They didn't use the box I purchased and assured me would be better out of the box. My fault for not insisting on using the box. Our tv stand suffered minor dings, like paint chips, I was able to cover it up with some touch up paint so no big deal. I would recommend them if you protect your own items well.

Considering it was 3 guys, a full truck, and a pretty big and long job as well as the fact that they never complained and were friendly the whole time I think that it was definitely worth what we paid. Call or email them to get a quote and they stick to it. There was even a point where we couldn't find our comic collection after we were pretty much done for the day but they went back to our storage unit with me to help me look for it and make sure we didn't lose it.
