She calmed my concerns and helped me de-stress. I felt my family was in good hands after a few minutes of talking. Paige is great at what she does! My next few calls were with Jordan who seemingly was available 24/7. He never missed a call and helped me navigate a tricky move. He was transparent and realistic about what expectations my family and I should have. He went above and beyond to take care of my family as if they were his own relatives. On moving day, Ty and Brandon were unbelievably efficient, hardworking, thorough and kind. My grandma doesn't speak much English but the language barrier proved no problem in the face of Ty and Brandon's kindness. Ty and Brandon were undoubtedly impressive. Professional from start to finish. Crazy strong and fast. They were efficient yet careful. No damage to any of our belongings. Ty and Brandon worked quickly in order to help my family save costs--even doing extra things to help like move a whole fridge to make my life easier. What was estimated to take 3.5-5 hours took the pair of them 2.5 hours. This is with one tall flight of stairs at the old apartment and FOUR flights of winding stairs at the new. Unreal. My family has moved twice before but no other moving company left anywhere near the same positive impression as YouMoveMe. What an awesome moving experience I had with You Move Me on May 7. From the first phone call to them I could tell this company is very professional. After 17 years, I moved from Pūpūkea on the North Shore down to Honolulu. Not only was I moving myself but I moved my art business too. The quote was accurate and this company only charges you at the end of the move. You truly only pay for the time used. The transparency was impressive with You Move Me. My moving team Jordan, James and Jakob (I nicknamed them the triple threat ) were absolutely fabulous. The professionalism and care they showed handling my larger furniture and antique furniture was impressive. All blanketed and shrink wrapped for transport. They were incredibly organized. All my possessions arrived in perfect condition. The new home wasn't an easy unload because they had to go down 17 steps to the new house. DO NOT USE YOU MOVE ME. I hired them to move just six items--a chair, a box, a couch, a bed, a coffee table, and a TV--and the experience was a nightmare. They caused damage to both the property I was moving from and the one I was moving into, as well as to my furniture. I was left to cover all the repair costs myself. Their team was unprofessional, unreliable, and showed a complete lack of accountability. I am truly happy with the service I receive from the staff and movers at You Move Me Honolulu. I was looking around for movers to move a very heavy copy machine down 2 flights of stairs, and most of the businesses I called told me they couldn't do the job. It came down to 3 moving business who told me they could move it, but You Move Me was the most responsive, straight forward with their pricing, and they luckily was able to scheduled me the next day. Wow, talk about quick service! I was moving my office and at the last minute decided I needed to hire a moving company. I just needed a fridge, about 30 boxes, some paintings and a couple of file cabinets moved. I called on a Tuesday to see if they could move me Friday and they could! I called, she took my info, emailed me the contract, I gave my credit card and that was it! The day before the move, I got a call confirming their arrival AND THEY OFFERED TO BUY ME A STARBUCKS! She said they do that for every client as they know moving can be stressful so it is just something small they do. NICE touch. The two men arrived right on time. They were VERY professional. They charge by the hour but these two guys just got in there and went right to work. Super careful with everything and very polite. The entire move took less than 2 hours and I paid $280 with tax. The crew chief arrived, did a walk through of what I needed to move and they did it professionally. We had a signed contract with You Move Me, for them to help us move last Friday. We put down a deposit for our time slot, and they told us the day of they would be arriving late. And then later and later, until they canceled on us. We had a contract which they broke and then acted like they were doing us a favor by returning our deposit. As we aren't able to move on the weekends, they have cost us a lot of money in extending our lease and finding new movers and cleaners last minute by failing to show up and breaking our contract. read more

Great experience with You Move Me! Highly recommend and would book again. I booked packing service ("staging") only. Options are packing and moving. Found through Yelp -- bought the promo $75 for $100 (save $25) Called and made appt with their call service rep for next day service. Good information in regards to what the costs would be broken down: *Minimum required 2hours. 1. Labor minimum 2 guys. 2. Packing supplies -- They come with supplies that is extra charge but I had my own supplies. They charge like $6 per large box you can get same under $2 from Lowes. Recommend Get your own Boxes, Packing Seran Wrap, and Packing Tape -- it's all pretty cheap to buy yourself search google shopping for nearest stores with cheapest price. 3. Truck n travel fee -- they supposedly discounted price from $199 to $99 for truck travel fee because truck wasnt needed since I only need help packing (send a couple guys to come help me pack). I did not ask my friends, or go craigslist for cheap labor since I dont want friends going thru my personal belongings of course, and want Reputable company and guys who will be accountable of any issues. Impressive Service: 1. Any starbucks drink you want -- Justin called me within the hour (30 minute before appt) as he is picking up the order from nearest starbucks on the way. 2. First 30 minute trying to coordinate parking because of my building parking confusion in loading bay during busy hours but it worked out because Justin and Jeff finished packing in 1.5hour! Impressive! 3. Justin is a "boyscout" I mean he's got handy tools and tips from exprience, you can trust his handy methods of packing. 4. Good job following minimal guidance/instruction such as packing suitcases first before boxes. Disclosure: Be prepared for questioning, I felt like I was being interviewed (why i'm packing, if i'm moving, where i'm from) during packing. I was overwhelmed with telework/school I needed to finish but I was too distracted and in that 1.5 hour of time we had to pack I was occassionally involved in the packing because I'm particular how things get packed. Any issues -- Money confusion (almost rated down to 4 star for this reason but I have patience lol). 1. Extra phone calls. As I made the appt, the temporary/new service call rep needed to get info from the experienced service call rep how yelp applies to the total and they wanted to refund the yelp promo to have the whole charge show on invoice. On day of service, my account still showed the yelp charge so make sure to call and let them know so they do apply the deduction to invoice so you're not charged extra. 2. On the phone I said to put tip on the cc which is what we agreed over the phone after service, but when I got the email invoice and charge to my bank acct they did not add the service guys' tip on the invoice/bill as it didnt show on my acct. I should've listened to my neighbor when he told me that this company dropped some items off at Young Brothers, but the driver didn't have his drivers license so the customer had to drive the truck into the port. I figured that was a one off thing and I'll give him a shot. My initial phone call on a Thursday seem to be very well scripted and friendly but the guy on the other end was completely disconnected. Gave them all my information said he would call back the next day to confirm mentioned multiple times that they needed to pressure me to make the decision before the weekend because the weekend is Saturday and they don't work Saturdays..... Never heard back from the guy so I called myself on Friday. Nobody answered the phone left messages finally got a call back on Monday, but it seems like nobody could find my paperwork so I had to repeat all the information again, same sales and fake friendly sales person attitudes. Filled the contract out gave him my credit card information. We were good to go 1 PM on Tuesday, they called me at 11 AM saying that they're early is that OK so I still showed up early expected ins be early and they're only 20 minutes early completely wasted my time rushing down early. No problem whatsoever with the movers, courteous, funny, careful, got all my items down and moved unfortunately the one hour turned into 2 1/2 hours. Job was done get very scripted. Fake follow-up call from the guy who I spoke to on Thursday and I went I started telling him I was upset that he didn't call me back he just kept having excuses , and every other word was "gotcha" and " awesome" completely detached not sure if there's a human or a robot, whenever I told him something negative he would just tell me awesome, completely weird I really don't wanna have to do a follow up call, then the girls started calling me after that again, saying my credit card number didn't go through. A friend of mine recommended You Move Me Honolulu for my move. I spoke with Taylee on the phone after I had requested their service online. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to set up my move on the day I requested. The time frame she suggested started at 8am. She also checked to see if I could still use a promo code that I received from my friend. Much appreciated. I sent in photos of the items I wanted to move and she was able to get me an estimated price and how many movers would be necessary for the job. I was informed of the 2 hour minimum plus the truck and travel fee and the fee for any materials of theirs (e.g. mattress bags) that I may use during the move. When my moving date got closer, Taylee contacted me and let me know that they wouldn't be able to arrive for the 8am time frame due to another job. After some further discussion about what time I needed to be done with my move, she was able to provide me with a 1-3pm time slot instead. This worked out for me, but I can see how it might be an issue for others. However, they did give me another discount for the inconvenience. The weekend prior to my move, I received a call from Walter who left me a message to confirm all of the details. I appreciated the message because it allowed me to verify that everything was documented correctly on their end. My move was a relatively small one and the two movers, Maui and Dreyson, arrived early as they had completed their prior job ahead of schedule. They worked quickly and were very efficient. Very disappointed with our move with this company. Regardless of whether this move is on a "short notice" or not (about 11 days), they took the job. Thus, there should be a commitment to serve. Because at the end of the day, we also paid for the service we asked for. Unfortunately, the price (which more than doubled from the estimate), did not reflect the OVERALL service we got nor was it explained very well. The amount was not the issue, it's the fact that all the miscommunication came from their side and we just had to deal with it. They were recommended to us by a family member cause they had a great service from them few years back. That same family member inquired for us to ask about how much it would cost us to move from both our storage unit and our condo to the new house. The lack of communication between the admin/leadership to the actual movers had been the root of most of our problems. Was offered a consultation on site so that they know the logistics and will be prepared for the day of our move. Little did we know, despite the multiple reminders to change the contact information, that the on-site person still had my family member's information! This family member was out of state on a work travel. So we ended up waiting the whole weekend for nothing. Nor did they explain to us what happened till I asked. We don't blame the movers themselves because they are only doing what they are TOLD by the people who actually communicates to us customers on the phone or email. That's why this is not a 1 star review. We appreciate their work. They called the wrong number multiple times the day of on-site consultation. We waited the whole weekend. Finally got an estimate but still it wasn't clear. The movers didn't get the memo that they're supposed to go to the storage unit first before our condo. They came 30 minutes late. They seemed a little unprepared not having tape and asking my husband if he has any?? Left things back in the condo to which we had to go back and pick up. Overall, the lack of communication between the office people and the movers was frustrating. They had the idea that we just didn't pick up the phone, when they had the wrong number to begin with!! Then the day of move in day, movers were not aware of logistics. It's sad and disappointing that this was our experience with them. I've shared my concerns and cleared with them that at the end of the day, we have done our part with communication and they did not. I called a couple days before to ask if they could accommodate my boyfriend and I's move today and they were so awesome! I made arrangements with Matt and he brought Loma and Brandon along. Loma and Brandon are some of the best movers I've ever had! They helped us out for three hours, and they definitely went above and beyond. It took my boyfriend and I over a week to pack, it took these guys less than half an hour to load our stuff into the truck. I have some pretty killer OCD and they stacked/secured everything so nicely and calmed that down.
