Lucky and his crew (3 guys Trytan, Kepa, and Kamu) were all very friendly, helpful, and efficient. They helped us move from 2 storage units in Waipio into 1 storage unit in Kapolei. They also brought stuff to our house, to the dump, and to donate!!! They worked all day and helped us organize things in the new storage unit so that we can easily find things. They also were very patient with us us as we figured stuff out. The cost was pretty decent compared to what other companies charge. Considering it was 3 guys, a full truck, and a pretty big and long job as well as the fact that they never complained and were friendly the whole time I think that it was definitely worth what we paid. Call or email them to get a quote and they stick to it. There was even a point where we couldn't find our comic collection after we were pretty much done for the day but they went back to our storage unit with me to help me look for it and make sure we didn't lose it. Beware!!! We hired him 2x's. First time went great from Pearl City to Palolo. 1 day and only 1 broken tv. No compensation there. That one was $2300. 2nd time , he was supposed to be there by 8:30am never showed up till 12:30 and the boys didn't come till 1:30. That should have been our first clue. Now we are only going from Palolo to KAIMUKI and it cost us double the price! Also he's got this gimmick now. Like UPS AND FED EX TRUCKS all come up to my house, kawika decided to park on Palolo Ave and block it. Here's the gimmick....he parks the big truck down the road brings a little van to my house loads that then goes to the big truck to download. We got from point A to B-4 times costing us an extra 2 hours. Half an hour to unload each time. We also had our own flat bed truck to help. Kawika's big van parked on Palolo ave died out while he we sitting in it the whole time telling us the hazard lights killed the battery. Full of lies!!. His own vehicles couldn't jump start it so obviously we had to with our flat bed ( dodge 5500 with lift) and our own jumper cables. Another hour wasted but charged for. After they did the 1 drop it was 10:00pm or so. Blaming us for the time and nasty neighborhood. If he had showed up on time, we would have beat the Pau Hana Traffic. That's why we scheduled the early. He was supposed to finish the job on July 4th and never showed up. He sent Us a text at 11:27 pm on July 3rd that he can't come till 9:30-10. He NEVER showed, Needless to say We had to scramble to find new movers. He charged us 3 hours over because of his antics not ours. He over charged us by $967.00. I would get very specific plans from him BEFORE YOU TAKE THE RISK. Please consider someone else unless you don't care!! The second day was going to cost us the same as the first day!! 2x's the charges!! Guys like him give ALL KAWIKA's A bad name! I cannot express to you how shady LUCKY MOVERS ARE!! Lucky's damaged my home when moving out my tenant and never made me whole. The owner Kawika left his contact info and claimed he would pay for all repairs. Unfortunately Kawika proceeded to dodge several calls from my tenant and me, eventually leaving a voicemail saying he shouldn't owe anything because his worker injured himself in the process of damaging my home. Disappointed that Kawika was dishonest to my tenant, avoids calls after he's been paid, and seeks to blame his customers for his own workers' safety. Follow up: Wow, wildly unprofessional response from the business owner to respond to a critical review with threats. He is responsible for his own company safety policies being followed, nor is anyone aside from the state liable for his workers compensation. Buyers beware of Kawika and Lucky's. Super fast communication with clear information. Kawika & his crew were amazing! (Teo, Kawika, Joe) I called and set up a move date and time with Kawika and he kept me in the loop the entire time leading up to the official move. He showed up with 2 others and got to work moving furniture. We had a 3 bedroom on the first floor and were moving to a 3 bedroom on the second floor. Never once did he or his team complain. What I truly see valuable in their team is the communication with each other. There were a few times where they needed to walk each other through techniques and tips of moving large items out and into small spaces. I could hear them working together as a team and getting the job done. The overall move took about 5 hours. Totally would recommend them for all your moving needs. Also, please tip your movers. Kawika, Kai, and Sheldon were amazing! My husband and I thought moving would be such a headache, but this team made moving smooth, they made it look easy! First off, Kawika responded to all of my texts, gave me lots of options, and, the best part, told me what he recommended to save me time and money. It was very easy to trust Kawika. I've heard a lot of horror stories about movers who were slow and stretching time, not safe with the boxes or house, or just plain rude. Thankfully, on the day of the move, Kai and Sheldon came out and gave me no worries! There was never a time that they stopped moving. They were efficient and fast, very polite, and so nice, safe and considerate! I asked that they not pile boxes on top of each other so I could easily rummage through them after. They did that and they also made sure I had a pathway to access all my boxes! Getting to my stuff made unpacking effortless. I had to move due to some piping problems and was absolutely dreading it. I hate moving. With everything in me. So I was bound and determined to find a moving company that made the process as painless as possible. Well these guys did exactly that and were amazing! They were very responsive and kept me updated on any delays that might happen due to circumstances they had no control over. Lucky, the owner, kept in contact with me throughout the process while 3 of his guys came and moved my stuff. They were extremely nice and INSANELY efficient. I took care of a lot of the small things so I just had them pack up and unload all the big stuff and I was amazed at how quick (which helped cut down on cost) and careful they were. If you are looking to have movers pack up your smaller things, I would still go with these guys because they clearly knew what they were doing. Another thing that I loved about them was the safety of the team in general. My husband was deployed during this whole process and I don't have any family here so I wanted to make sure whoever I was choosing to come into my home and move my stuff was safe. When I asked Lucky if he trusted his guys he immediately told me he's known them for years which was a huge comfort to me. They worked great together and, again, were so nice. I had Kai, Teo, and Kawika Sr. move our large townhome to a single family home. We had them pack up a very minimal amount of books and electronics, and have/will move most of our personal items out of personal preference. This move was largely furniture. They were incredibly efficient, courteous, and careful with our furniture, and had very good attitudes considering how tough the move was (lots of steps, ramps, hills, etc). They worked so hard despite a previous move ending at 9pm the previous night, I was very impressed. I would absolutely hire them again, and would probably request a fourth person to manage the intensity of our very heavy furniture and long path between the house and parking area. I am so impressed by this company! Two of my friends recommended them--Mona immediately responded to my email inquiry and in less than a day she gave me a quote and the appointment was scheduled. The day before our move, I got a text confirming the time. The three young men, Keahi, Josh and Kai arrived before 9AM. They were all very friendly and so professional! I was impressed at how quickly they wrapped up our furniture and how carefully they moved things into the truck. I was also very impressed at how they were able to manipulate the items to best fit the space in the truck. They got everything we needed to move in safely. Once we got to our house they helped us move some existing furniture and then brought in the items we had moved. Never once was I concerned that my items would be damaged or our walls would get dinged. We just got through a house fire and a repair/renovation that took 15 months to complete.
