Last second predatory pricing. Quoted a price of $167 with adjustments on site after seeing the items for removal. One bed and mechanical frame. After review of the bed, quote became $700. The removal was for parents home, and they arrived before I got there. Parent approved the new quote. We had a hospital bed about to be delivered. And I told them that, my mistake. The truck was empty, so they had room, it was the end of the day. They did not have another pick up. $480 charge suppose to include disposal and labor, etc. Yet there was another $180 labor charge. Charge twice for labor. Be careful using this company, be prepared to say No Thanks. read more

Started off by putting in a request a quote on Yelp and Kana'i's Junk Removal was the first to reply- very fast and prompt communication. In the request quote form I included the items that I wanted to get rid of and then they gave me a window of when they would come by- they also texted me when they were about 5 minutes out. We're turning one of our guest rooms into a proper office so we mainly needed to get rid of a bed, bed frame, and box spring. We did note these items in the quote, but it wasn't until they got here that we learned that it would be an additional $50 per item since they would need to dismantle those items before taking them to the dump. The price of how much space it would take up in the truck plus the extra $100 fee for the dismantling was a bit step, totaling almost $500. We ended up just getting rid of the bed headboards and a few other miscellaneous things we needed to get rid of in our garage for the 1/8th truck price of $168. I wish they were more transparent with their pricing, since I did have so many other junk removal companies reach out. I think providing customers with the pricing based on how much of the truck it fills out would be fair and of course let us know of any upcharges based on specific items. I do also have to mention that while the virtual communication was friendly and prompt, the onsite communication was very low energy and a bit awkward. I totally get that it was towards the end of their work day but I did expect a bit more since our online / text communication was so friendly. read more

They are quick to respond and in our case we definitely needed to have some stuff hauled away ASAP. With our tight schedule they were able to come out and take all the stuff we needed removed. As others have noted they charge based on 'space' taken up in the hauler, and while the estimate felt fudged (quoted 1/3rd of the space when it was more like 1/4), I was willing to pay whatever it took to remove the items because of our deadline. The guys who came out were young and friendly. Minus 1/2 star for a guess-timate system that could be more accurate and minus 1/2 star on professionalism.
