Great matcha spot in the heart of downtown Arcadia. The space has a really nice modern, minimalist feel, everyone was super friendly and made great recommendations. Everything was pretty perfect! We got the strawberry matcha and the cold brew jasmine matcha milk tea. Both were really good! Definitely adding this to my list of spots to come back to.

Ordered the jasmine MT matcha latte and the hojicha latte, total was about $20. The jasmine matcha was just okay, more jasmine MT forward and the matcha did not stand out. The hojicha was good and would recommend. The shop is cute and very minimalist/clean.

The matcha quality here isn't the best - it has a lingering bitterness and is astringent on the tongue. It's very caffeinated and the lack of smoothness is covered by syrups. With that being said, my london fog matcha latte was alright. Not really worth $7.25 but I like the cafe and the ambiance / vibe- it's a nice spot to get work done. I like that there's a restroom and I love their minimalist decor. I'll probably be back to try their other drinks and work from here again.

Ok Maicha Matcha has quickly climbed up my go to matcha spots and is now sitting as my #1 in the entire SGV. Their special promo banana pudding double matcha is heaven in a 16fl oz cup. The staff shared it's a labor intensive drink to make the banana pudding and I just want to thank the staff for 1) making it 2) we taste the love and soul you poured in.

My wife and I can't stop coming back to this spot. In her words, she says this is probably the best matcha she has ever had in the 626. I ordered the matchacanno since I really wanted to taste more of the natural sweetness and earthy flavors of the matcha. I honestly say these guys have yet to disappoint me. They didn't shy out from the matcha. They also had a few pastries that were out, but the kind lady was willing to make more for us. We really appreciate the service of going above and beyond. We are forever big fans.

Carrying the last name of matcha was such attention stealer, but at same time setting the expectation high. The place was well-lit and somewhat giving that clean impression being mostly white-themed. They obviously carried different kinds of matcha drinks. Feeling like going for something basic today, I opted for their Matcha Latte with almond milk while my husband went for their London Fog Matcha which was a blend of matcha and house earl grey syrup, and came in larger size. Ice and sweetness level were customizable. They were decent but I somewhat felt they're tad creamier than I expected. The London Fog Matcha might suit you if you loved earl grey and just wanted a hint of matcha in the drink. Prolly would go with Matcha cortado next time!

Great spot for matcha, Hojicha, a select variety of viet coffee. My favorite is their matcha with strawberry or their brown sugar hojicha latte. Not too sweet which is great. Their sesame hojicha is also great and comes with two mochiballs. They also have some limited pastries. My favorite is their Matcha white chocolate cookie with mochi pieces inside.

(+) London Fog Matcha Latte (+) Strawberry Matcha Latte Maicha Matcha is a coffee/match spot that opened recently in Arcadia. Parking is easily accessible behind the building. There are two entrances in the front and back. The shop is known for being open because the tables are spread out, with plenty of natural light. A great place to chat with friends, or to get some work done. Whole, oat, and almond milk are your choices for your drinks. Sugar and ice levels can be adjusted. Drinks: I've tried the London fog and strawberry matcha lattes. I liked the London fog better, but not by much. The earl grey syrup prepared was great tasting. The matcha here is creamier than most other matcha places. It is quality matcha but texture is something I noticed. Depends on how you prefer but definitely give it a try. The servers are helpful with ordering and very friendly. I will be back and love the convenience of running in and out in a timely manner.

One of the best matcha lattes I've had in Arcadia! I got the London Fog Matcha Latte and the Coconut Cream Coffee. Wow, you can really tell they use high quality matcha. It just hits differently. I also love the interior. It's super clean and inviting, and there's plenty of space to relax. Parking is easy too. There's a parking lot behind the building, plus street parking right out front. The downtown location is so convenient. This is definitely going to be my go to matcha spot whenever I'm in the Arcadia area!

i went with the london fog and it was a memorable drink! so many matcha spots are open and this was the first spin i tried with earl grey infused syrup. the earl grey paired well with the matcha without the 2 overpowering each other. this place is spacious and ideal for working/studying.

Black Sesame Tangyuan Hojicha & Double Coconut Matcha

We ordered the Black Sesame Tangyuan Hojicha and Double Coconut Matcha, and they were both so good! The drinks weren't overly sweet, which we really liked because sometimes regular sugar at other places can be a little too sweet. The black sesame mochi ball was SO delicious--we honestly wanted more hehe. My friend really enjoyed her coconut matcha but hopes to try one of their lattes next time since she prefers something a little milkier. We'll definitely be coming back to try more of their drinks next time!

Soo thrilled they're no longer in soft opening! This weekend was their GRAND OPENING - 6/20 & 6/21 - 9am-5pm! I went during their soft opening weekend and was given a free drink coupon so I redeemed that today. Parking was easy and plentiful since there was a lot of parking in the back. It was a bit inconvenient that they kept the back door locked so I had to go around to enter through the front entrance. However, this only applies for this weekend! Menu has a good variety of Matcha, Hojicha, and Coffee drinks! Pricing was slightly pricey so expect to pay $7-$8 and they all come in one size. However, it's a bonus that they don't charge for milk substitutions - oat & almond! Inside was very clean and spacious with a decent amount of tables and outlets so a relatively good study or work spot! Service was friendly and welcoming. The Strawberry Matcha ($7.25) was one of the best strawberry matchas I've ever had! The matcha was so rich in flavor and I love how they handwhisk every order. I could tell they use high quality ceremonial grade matcha! The strawberry puree is house made and not overly sweet. However, it does require a good stir prior to drinking otherwise the strawberry puree is just stuck on the bottom! Overall, I really enjoyed the drinks here and would definitely return and recommend!

Cold Brew Jasmine Matcha Milk Tea
    Karena S.

New matcha place opened in Arcadia! I've seen so many videos on TikTok about how delicious their matcha is and I have to agree! They have parking out in the front and behind their store. The parking in the front is free street parking but very hard to find but around the corner is a large parking lot that's shared with multiple businesses and the Post Office. Their store is very white and minimalist with quite a few seats and tables to do work or just to enjoy their drinks. Ordering was relatively easy. Their menu is displayed behind the cashier with cute little Smiskis next to it. I opted for the Cold Brew Jasmine Milk Tea which doesn't allow milk substitutions. Their cold brew jasmine milk tea is brewed for 24 hours so that the aroma of the jasmine can be tasted through the matcha. Drink: Cold Brew Jasmine Matcha Milk Tea (8/10): I loved this drink! I didn't opt for any adjustments to sugar or ice for my first time and it was perfect! I thought that the jasmine was very aromatic and could be tasted through each sip when I mixed everything together. The total was $7.25 which, I guess, is the normal nowadays. I love that this place doesn't pre-batch their matcha and actually makes it in front of you. I didn't like the little jasmine flower they added at the end. It was pretty but the petals got separated and was a weird thing to find randomly with my sips.

Yi's Cafe is a spot on the corner of a street that is a bit unassuming, with just two tables and a bit of seating outside. But don't let that fool you, this is one of the best cafe experiences Arcadia, and even SoCal, have to offer! Even though it was my first time, it felt like I'd known Eric for years. His friendliness, down-to-earth style of handling things, and open communication about wait times were highlights of the amazing customer service here. We waited approx. 20 minutes for our food and drinks, and were offered two free pastries along with it. We got a banana chip muffin and a matcha muffin, both phenomenal quick bites that satisfied our cravings and hunger for a bit while we waited for our food. We ended up spending about $23 for two entrees, two drinks, and two muffins. The bang for your buck here is unbeatable. I've never seen anything like it. The two entrees we picked were Yi's Beef Burrito and the Chicken Pesto Panini. Both were delicious and hearty, feeling more like a nostalgic meal from back home than lunch out. The drinks are quite literally $4. $4 for a coffee nowadays is like winning the lottery on your first try. No better feeling. Both were amazing, with bold coffee flavors and strong notes of tiramisu and cookie butter. No notes at all. Overall, I think this place does exactly what it needs to. It's a small, corner shop-style cafe with an owner that cares about his customers, remembering "usual" orders and having conversations with them while making their drinks. He's patient, hardworking, and deserves all of the success he gets! I hope Yi's Cafe is around to stay, because I will definitely be back! 10/10.

The quality of their teas are also regarded as high-quality as you can taste the genuine tea fragrances in the drink despite the added milk or toppings. They have unique tea flavors and toppings that differentiates them from so many other boba houses in the 626 area. 1. Pistachio Coconut Velvet (5/5) A summer/seasonal drink that is worth raving about. It's super refreshing from the coconut water, yet creamy and luxurious from the velvety pistachio cream. They are generous with the pistachio bits that they coat on top of the pistachio foam. I devoured this drink it less then 2 minutes and almost went back for a 2nd cup. 2. Tea-cube Special (5/5) This is a simple, yet, satisfying cup of traditional milk tea. It's made from a black tea base + milk + tea-cube topping. The tea-cube is made from fresh tea then made into a jelly cubes. Super creative, yet delicious. It pairs well with almost any milk tea based drinks. 3. Mango Pomelo Sago (4/5) If you like mangos and like fruity drinks, then this is a good choice. It comes with sago toppings, which pairs well with the drink. When it's fresh and icy, it's super refreshing. However, if you wait too long and it melts, the drink can get a bit too sweet. 4. Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea (4.5/5) This drink is a Jasmine tea base with osmanthus rice paste, milk and crystal boba. You certainly can taste the osmanthus flavor. The tea cube special sounded unique so I gave it a try. It had a strong tea taste. The tea cubes were squishy and had a firm jelly texture. This drink would definitely fall more towards the chocolatey side. I felt that it was still sweet at 25% sugar, but I'd still get it again! Paying almost 8 dollars for a specialty tea wasn't a great feeling, but they had an atmosphere and quality that offset it for the most part. Now, they expect you to pay 10 dollars for some of those exact same drinks. The most recent menu price update for august brought some items up to 9.85 pre-tax. That doesn't even include the dollar extra for their specialty tapiochi. You can't even modify the sweetness or dairy on some! Seriously? How in the world can little more than a single year of being open warrant that kind of price increase? You can't even pull the quality card at that point because you can get high quality ceremonial matcha with specialty housemade syrups, toppings, or foam/cream caps at plenty of other places these days and that's typically in the 7 dollar range, which is, again, not a fun number to pay for a drink. For these prices, I ought to see the receipts on some kind of hyper-local sourced fruits and dairy, specialty fair+ free trade small batch organic tea where we know the farmer's name and when it was harvested. (These aren't even unreasonable asks, you can purchase imported matcha and tea in the US with this level of transparency). It feels more like a hype traffic price increase rooted in greed than anything else. That kind of anti-consumer move doesn't win loyalty, it wins you one trip and an instagram photo and an "it was good, but not worth what I paid." Which is how I felt the last time I ordered the matcha einspanner, which was more bitter than I'd expect and not even smoothly whisked to eliminate graininess. Congrats on your profit margins though, I guess. Your workers make minimum wage and the website says the owner is (was?) a medical doctor. That says something, doesn't it.
