Tommy is our go to guy. He is honest, knowledgeable, quick, and local. He's restored lost files, replaced a battery in a laptop, and hooked up with a second monitor since I am work from home. Bought a new desktop and set it up when my laptop needed to be retired. Most recently he advised us when we were looking for apple products for my daughter who is interested in drawing & animation. I won't take my computer anywhere else and always recommend him to my friends. read more

Took my MacBook Pro to Apple to get diagnosed. At first it was running slow and ultimately I couldn't even log on. Apple said the hard drive needed to be erased. Couldn't have that happen, so I was referred to MacMyDay and Tommy. Long story short, after Leaving my computer with him for three days, I got all my data back, it's running faster than ever, he updated it for me, and gave me an external hard drive. If you're having a problem with your Mac have MacMyDay take a look at it before resorting to buying a new computer. read more

Tommy raised my lap top from the dead! Of course I didn't back up regularly but he was still able to recover an astounding amount of my stuff. He upgraded my hard drive to a solid state and doubled the RAM. I thought this puppy was toast and now it runs faster then it ever has. I am so grateful. Tommy got the work done very quickly at an incredibly fair price and is just a genuinely nice guy! I am so relieved to have found him. read more

I met Tommy recently through a friend but have needed computer work for well over two years. Tommy was immediately my guy simply because of his personality. We spoke once, discussed my issues and within a few days, my computer was in his trusted hands. It is now lightening fast and he can even remote in to my computer if I have trouble going forward. People at the Mac store are not as trustworthy and good as Tommy. He saved me a bundle because I was about to buy a new system altogether. Now, I know I don't have to! Thanks, Tommy!!!!! read more

Reasonably priced and professional. Came to them with a cracked retina screen and I was outside of warranty and they made it good as new. Thanks! read more

My computer was ancient (a 10 year old MAC book), and the multi-color wheel was spinning so much, I couldn't get anything done. After much procrastination, I reached out to Tommy at MacMyDay. Tommy asked me about my work and business needs, and sent me a detailed list of his computer suggestions within my budget. He was very professional and thorough. After finally purchasing my computer, Tommy came by to configure the settings and migrate items from my old laptop. He was patient and very clear in explaining things. Not only did he set up my new laptop, but he also linked my tv to an AppleTV box that I had been storing in the closet! I went from no tech to high tech in under 2 hours. I highly recommend his services! read more

I cannot express what an amazing job Tommy did in restoring a completely corrupted computer that is well over 4 years old and I was firmly convinced was on its way to the graveyard! My only hope when having him work on my Mac was not to lose important files I had not backed up. Well, Tommy restored those, transferred everything to an outside hard drive, completely wiped my old hard drive, installed a new one, and now I'm typing this review on "old faithful"!!! He was friendly, efficient, fast, upbeat, honest, and simply a good man. God bless him and his business.......good people! read more

Tommy at Macmyday is awesome! My mac decided it needed a new hard drive right in the middle of this pandemic and I thought I was toast. I found Tommy on Yelp and he's not only knowledgeable but crazy goofy and fun. He's also local so working with him is very easy and convenient. read more

Through a series of unfortunate events, the screen of my old macbook pro broke. I've had this computer for 8 years and definitely did not have the budget to purchase a new macbook pro. That's where Tommy came in - he was honest and upfront with me about my options: 1. replace the screen, 2. trade my computer in for another refurbished macbook pro, or 3. get a new macbook. After discussing the effort/cost, I decided to have Tommy replace the screen. He was available that same day to meet with me and take my computer. He kept the communication open and gave me consistent updates. When I got my computer back, the screen worked great, but the computer itself kept shutting down. I contacted Tommy and he was super responsive and more than happy to take my computer back and figure out what was causing the issue. It turned out it was a bad battery, so his team placed another new battery and my computer is running as smooth as ever! I definitely recommend Tommy for your computer repair needs. read more

Don't bother to buy a new Mac! Tommy will mac your day and your year! He put a solid state hard drive in my old iMac and MacBook Pro. I am a graphic artist and web designer. I need speed and power. Life saver... Yup! That is what I think of when MacMyDay comes to mind. I found Tommy on Yelp after contracting a nasty virus on my laptop. Tommy came out the same day which happened to be a Saturday. Virus was gone quickly and effectively. Since then, I've used them when my desktop hard drive died and I couldnt afford to buy a new computer. Tommy knows his business and is super personable. He really goes out of his way to help you as long as it's within reason of course! His customer service is impeccable, something worth its weight in gold these day. I would not be writing this review right now were it not for Tommy! He and the folks at Mac My Day saved my computer from the unthinkable come back, cat urine. I kid you not, sick cat, accident, lap top fell in it! I thought that my computer was toast and in the end Tommy saved the day. He also took the time to back up everything for me on a new back up drive that I purchased. Mac My Day has worked for and deserves my highest praise and recommendation. I can not thank them more heartily. Thank you for saving the last 5 years of my life and my business and my 2014 TAX prep! I spoke with Tommy regarding Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, and he was able to help me over the phone in a matter of minutes. I was totally freaked out when I opened my MacAir and it had a grey screen with a red circle & slash through it! I thought all was lost, but not when Tommy is around! Like a tech knight in shining armor, he came to my house (!) to pick up my Mac, did his magic, added more space (when Apple told me it wasn't possible to do in the Airbook) then delivered it back to me in no time at all! His price was unbelievably fair and it doesn't hurt that he's personable, friendly and funny. He's also followed up with me to make sure everything is working smoothly and schooled me in clear, tech-novice computer language on how to properly maintain my laptop health and storage. In short, a 5-star experience! Highly recommend read more

Fixed me up with a new battery, good as new. Quick service and a very nice guy--glad to have a go-to for my repair needs now!

My Mac Mini (Late 2012), had been slowing down little by little. A friend at my work, who knows way more about these things than I do, recently had his Mini upgraded at a local shop. I asked him what he had done and how much it cost him. After some contemplation and investigation I decided I was going to invest a little and upgrade my Mac Mini, too. I decided I was going to add more memory (4 to 16GB) and upgrade to a solid state internal drive (500GB). Everything I read said that replacing the memory was a piece of cake, but that the Solid State Internal Drive was a little difficult for a rookie like me, plus there was this thing about backing up the data and then reinstalling it. I chose to purchase the items myself and then have them installed professionally. I had spoken to a couple of shops nearby and was given some quotes. After I had acquired the parts, I was ready to take them to the shop and get it done. When I called the shop I had chosen, their quote came back way more than they had previously stated. It was at this point, that I chose to try something else. I Googled Mac Repair and found a site that referred me to several local people who did this type of stuff. MacMyWorld seemed to fit my criteria and their initial quote seemed to be reasonably priced. I contacted them, thru the site, and shortly after I was contacted by Tommy. From the very beginning, Tommy seemed to be knowledgable and he was quick to present me with my options. Which included me backing up and reinstalling the data myself, which would have saved me a few bucks, or I could have him do it, which would include a complete diagnostics check and repair, Malware check and removal, back up and reinstall system and migrate user data back into my Mini. Lets just say, this was no small matter. My system and drive had not been backed up for some time (years), so backing it up now took two full days. Once that was completed the rest was completed in less than a day, as promised. Tommy updated me all along the way and kept me in the loop during each step of the process. Tommy of MacMyDay, was a total professional and did everything that was promised and at a very reasonable price. *The quoted price didn't change, even after my drive that was almost dead, took two additional days to transfer the data. I know this review is a little long, but I can't emphasize how pleased I was and am with Tommy and MacMyDay and the service they provided. I would highly recommend them for all your computer needs. Don't hesitate to give them a try, when the need arises, you will be pleasantly surprised at their quality work and reasonable fees. ****** Would have given them SIX stars if i could have. ****** read more

MacMyDay is one of those rare businesses that my frustration is not with them but with Yelp. Why does Yelp only offers Five Stars?!!! On very rare occasions I feel like someone deserves a SIX or even a SEVEN stars rating and this is one of those rare moments. EVERY single time I find myself in a bind with my Mac, Tommy is there for the rescue. I'm a big fan and that's not easy for any business to achieve. Since I love all of my Macs (I have a few), I don't like admitting that they do have their fair share of issues (mostly software issues not hardware) but if and when they need TLC, I only have one place where I take my Macs and that's Tommys. Sure, if I had a PC I would take it to any Geek in any squad, it's like changing your oil in your Hyundai at any local Pep Boys BUT when you have an M3 would you still let your Pep Boys dude touch it? I don't think so. That's when you need a pro - same works with my Macs and that's why my Macs only see Tommy at times of need. Pricing was always as fair as can be and considering the times where I needed help on weekends or a fast turnaround, I was never charged extra for it - The prices are totally acceptable, the service outstanding and the availability never failed. Turn around time was always fast so I never went to long without my Lap Top which helped keeping my separation anxiety to minimum. Thanks to Tommy I also learned the value of Backing up. I never did but always knew I should. Well, Tommy, with the persistence of a classic polish jewish mother, got on my ass and made sure that I will start doing it. Now, I can proudly say, I do save all my stuff. I have a great backup set up at home (thanks to Tommy, again) and Time Machine is my new BFF. I realized that getting a pro to help, is good not only in times of need but also as a preventive measure. Who knew?! Yesterday, on a SATURDAY pm, I encountered another problem. A quick call to Tommy resulted in a trip to Burbank. Less then 2 hours later, I'm driving home with a problem already forgotten :-) Once again, couldn't thank Tommy enough. I rushed home only to post a big fat Thank You on their Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/MacMyDay Bottom line, on Yelp, Tommy gets 5 stars, but in my book, it would be a 7 star rating. Got a Mac? - Don't think twice - visit Tommy with your Mac and don't forget to send ME a Thank You card after you did! read more

I got my laptop fixed by Tommy and his team a month ago. Tommy was quick to respond to my issue with a key not working on my keyboard for my MacBook Pro Retina. It took two days to fix the issue, which was a fast turn around considering they had to order the part and then install it. I appreciate how responsive and professional they were about my issue. They quoted me a great price compared to the apple store, which apple want to charge me around $500-600 to replace the whole bottom panel consisting of keyboard, battery, and trackpad. I thought that price was ridiculous to pay considering the number of times in the past I have been to the apple store to pay for out of warranty repairs. The price quoted is literally half the cost of a new base model MacBook or iPad pro, which I was not in favor of. Tommy and his team needed half of the payment as a deposit for the job before they can start the work order and upon completion, they require the other half. Tommy helped me reduce the downtime of not having my laptop by calling me when the part arrived to drop off. My keyboard has been solidly working. I wanted to review this business at a later time to make sure the repair was upheld and working properly a month later. It has had no issue since the repair. read more

My hard drives had developed problems and I needed to get my laptop ready for a new school year. Tommy diagnosed the problems, ordered the new items and got them up and running. He was prompt, knowledgeable and (unlike some computer people) was able to discuss the problems and solutions in plain language. I like that they come to you, especially in light of what a security breach it can be to drop your laptop off at a store. He was quick and they're working great! Many thanks. read more

Forget Apple genius, Tommy's the man! I took my Mac book pro to apply, they said that I needed a new screen & quoted me $610. Took it elsewhere, got the run around for 3 weeks. I was referred to Tommy by a friend. Took my computer to him, in less than 24 hours, it was up & running. My tab was no where near what apple quoted & my problem was misdiagnosed by apple! From now on, Tommy is the only person I'll trust with my computers! read more

Very communicative, reasonably priced, good work, got the job done. No complaints here.

My editing mac pro was having some serious kernal failure issues essentially reducing the machine's ability to ZERO. It finally gave out and wouldn't even reboot. I consider myself tech savvy and did everything I could before calling for outside help. I'm glad I did, especially glad i found MacMyDay because they were exactly the solution I needed. I read the amazing reviews on YELP, figured I'd give them a try. Within the same evening of writing them an email stating my system's issues, I received a reply from Tommy which followed with a phone call. He was super helpful, gave me a list of things to try given my tech prowess and i reported back with my findings the next day. I did everything he suggested, and knew it was beyond my abilities so the machine was dropped off at his place in Burbank.... It took Tommy a day to get it back on track, no data loss and the machine can now be used for an upcoming edit. I can't recommend MacMyDay enough.... Tommy is incredibly professional, listens, and evokes a sense of confidence which helps when you're thinking all is lost. Every tech issue is different but no matter what the issue is, when I face something that goes beyond the scope of my brain, it's going to MacMyDay. I'll be bringing my Macbook Pro to MMD tomorrow.... It's great to have a mechanic and attorney you can trust....it's awesome to have a mac genius that's accessible locally without needing to go into a big shopping mall (read: apple store). Love your mac, keep it running right with MMD!!!! One final note....Tommy is a regular guy with super mac nerd abilities. He's socially well-adjusted with a great sense of humor. When you call MMD, you'll get someone that's easy to talk to, not just a computer nerd that only relates to technology. read more
