I have been a Mac user for 20 years and this is the first time I have gone outside of the Mac store for any type of repair. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. I had a cracked screen on my 2016 MacBook Pro. I had an issue with my 2013 MacBook Pro early in the pandemic and although I couldn't bring it in to be looked at, Tommy was gracious enough to give me some free advice over the phone to keep me going until I was able to bring it in. I recently dropped it off with Tommy (we were both masked with minimal contact). I use my MacBook Pro for work as well as to record and edit music and it's been doing some quirky things like disconnecting my blue tooth mouse and keyboard at times and is very slow in loading with my DAW software. Even though it tested out fine, Tommy was very straight forward with me that it's definitely past it's prime and not the strongest configuration to properly power my DAW software. I kind of knew that this would probably be the outcome but needed an expert to confirm it for me.
