Adam's great! My old MacBook Pro was on the brink of death due to the battery dying and expanding. He was able to swap it out for a refurbished one and it's been a couple months now and it's still running great. At a great price too. I would give the zero stars if possible! Took my PC to them at 9am yesterday for a diagnostic. I didn't hear back from them so I called about 12:30 pm and he told me he was just about to do the diagnostic and would call me in about 20 minutes. Never heard from the so I called at 3pm (they close at 4) and it went to voicemail. Since I needed my PC for work, so I went up there at 3:30pm. He looked surprised to see me and said there was a problem with my GPU (no crap! I told him the problem I was having was crashing playing some games. It would say "low video memory" or "out of video memory") He told me I could leave it until Monday, and he could replace the GPU. Told me that's what he did to another customers PC and it worked. Mind you, this is a custom-built gaming computer that I told him was still under warranty! I said no and he said, "well then let me reset the bios and that should work." Bull! Basically, he kept my PC all day long and turned it on and tried to run a game on my desktop that crashed and that was it! If he had actually run a diagnostic on it, he would have given me a printout. He did virtually nothing and still charged me $45 for a diagnostic {supposedly} and gave me no printout and was still trying to replace a GPU that was under warranty! I brought two computers here and they didnt fix either of them. One Apple Mac they got the internet to connect, but some security update they couldnt update to fix fully. The whole time I dropped my laptop computers off the guys would never call me back with an update. I kept having to hound them to get an update, theres only three guys that work there. When I finally went to pick up my two laptops Apple Mac white and HP laptop. An older guy wanted to charge me for two diagnostics, but they never attempted to fix my HP laptop that had the screen light that went out. It was really frustrating trying to get an update and not getting my computer fully repaired in a week. My experience with Adam was great. He was recommended to me by Melrose Mac. He replaced the battery in a 2017 MacBook Pro with an OEM battery. I expected to wait at least three or four days, but Adam called me for a next pick-up by the end of the first day. Here is a factual aand subjective account of my experiences at this particular shop. This is what happened. This is exact. This is not hyperbole. These are the facts. Approximately a month ago I sought out "Adam's Apple" based off of the name, the location, and the relative dearth of any reputable Mac repair centers in the area. When I tried their website to submit a form, it failed to send. No problem, so instead, I called. Their rep said that I needed to bring my computer in for a diagnosis, and leave it there. So that's what I did. I left my computer there, and after a week and a half, I called for a diagnosis. "Adam"....if that's what his name really is, immediately suggested that the main hardware component of the computer failed. I asked if he diagnosed it, and he said he hadn't. This was the first indicator that perhaps doing business would become sticky. If he was suggesting a fix without diagnosing it, who was I to argue? He offered an older computer instead, for $200. I acquiesced, and accepted an off the shelf unit, INSTEAD of getting a quote to fix my computer. This was the only alternative available to me, and I was running completely out of time for my project. After getting his unit back to my office; I spent an hour setting it up only to find that it had no internet card. I called "Adam" and he said; "Oh, I didn't know you wanted one....did yours have one?" Of course it did. So I brought it back, and he put in an internet card. And then I begged him to just diagnose my old computer. But instead, I went against my better judgement again, and tried the old one I was up-sold. Did I mention no one in the office wears masks? Oh, they do eventually after you shame them into it. But more on this later. After trying the upsold computer--this time WITH internet--I find out that the older operating system isn't even up to par with what I left at the shop. My project is useless. So I called "Adam" to bring the computer back for a refund. He agrees on the phone. By the time I make my 3rd or 4th sojourn to his shop, SURPRISE! He's "fixed" my computer. "There was a red light, and now there isn't!" He says. "What about the main control component?" I ask. "Oh, I dunno. It might be. It might now. But it should work now." Now, eager to just have something that works -- I don't press for a refund. I should have, but i was still under the delusion that there was competence and integrity here. Again, I was burned. My original computer lapsed into the same non-functional mode. Was never fixed. Was never even properly diagnosed. All I succeeded doing was waste time, waste money, and get frustrated. And now, I'm wasting even more time by writing this review; but it's important I do so, because this is the ONLY DEFENSE against a small business that operates against the rules, that doesn't do what's expected, and that shouldn't have merit where none is deserved. And if this review is challenged, I'll write another one. Because this review is FACTUAL. It is DESERVED. And "Adam", if you would like to protect the reputation of your store and get a higher rating....then you will operate with competence, truth and integrity. And then the rating will improve. I had an emergency and Adam was my first responder. The back of my MacBook Pro popped up, exposing all the boards. I was due in Long Beach in a few hours for an important client meeting, and I had to have my computer. I found his shop and walked in. At the time, I thought it was just a matter of losing some set screws. I asked him if he could replace the set screws. He said, No because the battery had expanded and that was what pushed the back panel out. I asked what the charge was to replace the battery. He quoted a price and I asked if he could do it right away. He said, One hour and he'd text me. I was so grateful. He saved my bacon. 45 minutes later my text went off. It was ready. Come get it. These guys are simply fantastic. So great that I created a yelp account to write a review. I spilled a bottle of coke in my backpack (laptop was in the backpack) which after about a month, made my 2020 Macbook Air inoperable (completely shut down and wouldn't turn back on). I first went to book a genius bar appt at the Apple store in Glendale where they quoted me $700 for a repair which would have taken a week or so. Apple doesn't offer data recovery so I would have had to take it to Melrose Mac beforehand to offload the data where they quoted me anywhere from $300-$900 PLUS a $100 diagnostic fee. I brought my laptop the same day into Adams Apple (ironically right across the street from Melrose Mac) where they took it in (diagnostic took 4 business days) and got back to me and had it ready later that day for a literal FRACTION of the cost. I'm writing this review from the computer they fixed. These guys are professional, smart, more than reasonable in price, and nice. I can't recommend them enough. Go Adams Apple & PC! read more

Can't speak for how they handle internal issues but as far as fixing cosmetic ones go I give them two thumbs up. Came in with an Apple monitor with a severely cracked screen (I'm talking spiderwebbing, chunks of glass missing, etc). It's from 2011 so most places wouldn't touch it since Apple doesn't make replacement parts anymore. But the guys at Adams Apple were able to replace the entire glass screen and now it looks good as new! Turn around was fast and price was fair. read more

My late-2011 MBP had the blue screen of death. They diagnosed my laptop and found out that my graphics card needed resoldering. The heat over the years caused the existing solder to melt and lose connection. I was finally able to boot past the blue/gray screen into the desktop. But after a few minutes on the desktop, my laptop would shut down. They realized that I needed a new logic board which they bought on ebay and installed. Turns out there was a known issue with 2011 logic boards so they found me a 2012 one. Now my laptop is working smoothly just as before. read more

By far the worst experience I have had with a computer repair shop. Adam compares your computer parts to actual body parts. I brought my MacBook pro to be fixed and they never solved the problem after 2 weeks. I bought a 1TB hardrive from him and when the computer wasn't fully restored and properly working I returned to give him the drive back and he wouldn't refund me. Eventually we agreed on a $75/$75 split after he charged me $150. I did this just because I didn't want to deal with this guys bull shit anymore. He was arguing with me in front of customers. This guy is a joke. Plain and simple DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this guy. I was more then nice to work and help his employees try and figure out the problem but it just came to bite me in the ass. His employees always defer to him and they are not very competent when trying to handle business when he is not there. It's a one man show. So my computer had some problem and i took it in last year and they said it was a graphics card thermal paste issue. Thats fine i paid the 180$ and got the computer fixed A year later i had the same problem and when i took it in they said the same issue with the thermal paste and quoted me 200$ to fix. So i paid the 45$ inspection fee and decided to fix it myself When I took it apart a few things alarmed me. - the "void warranty" sticker thats on the piece holding the gpu was still there which you need to take off to get the gpu off -the gpu had factory like thermal paste on it (cross referenced to other imacs) Makes me believe my computer wasn't even worked on but somehow fixed ? read more

Here is my story. I had a 2009 iMac that stopped working. I used it for everything. I took the iMac to the Apple store and they diagnosed that the video card was bad. They either couldn't nor wouldn't fix it. The guy just started selling me new iMac. I ran out and started looking for an apple repair shop. Found one and took it there. The guy said that it was indeed a graphics card and he will try to fix it or repair it. Fast forward about a month, went there and he told me he couldn't fix it or replace it. Dear Adam (the business owner). I hope that you can read and understand the following reply/review. I tried to write it in the most correct and proper English like I usually do. Maybe the wording will make sense to you this time around: And so the owner replied back to my review and said: "Comment from Adam N. of Adams Apple & PC Business Owner 4/28/2020 We don't remember serving this person, if we did, he would call or bring back his unit, if something didn't work right. We have a sixty day policy. He's trying to hurt the business. Even his wording doesn't make sense." Well of course Adam doesn't remember me! I've only been in the place 2 times. Once when I dropped off my iMAC to be repaired, and once when I picked it up. Some older guy was there when I initially dropped it off. Apparently it was Adam that was there when I picked it up a week later, going by the picture on his post. 60-day warranty policy or not, I'm not going to drive back and forth 1.5-2 hours each way from Palmdale to Burbank to play hit & miss on whether or not my computer was/will be fixed correctly the first/second/third time around. It's just not worth the hassle, time, or gasoline! So once I figured out my computer was FUBAR, I got the overwhelming realization that I was just going to have to give up on finding a knowledgeable repair shop anywhere and just bite the bullet and buy a brand new iMAC and pretty much never ever trust any older iMAC repairs to any independent computer repair shop ever again. (I should've learned my lesson after dealing with independent watch repair shops) Anyway, I had originally taken my iMAC to the nearest APPLE STORE (in Valencia) to be repaired but, unfortunately, they no longer serviced iMACs that are beyond a certain manufacturing date. So they suggested that I take it to MELROSE MAC in Burbank. So when I took it to Melrose MAC, they also told me that they didn't work on the older iMACs and they suggested that I take it to ADAM'S APPLE & PC just down the street because they work on the older iMACs. I recently built my 3rd PC but after installing all the parts the mother board wasn't receiving power. Having some experience I began to trouble shoot the issue, trying different power supplies, reseating the cpu. Booting up with no video card using onboard graphics card. I was stumped. I took to Adam's and I wished I hadn't. I gave the "technician" a rough explanation of what I had done. They said they where would be able to fix it in a couple days. The pricing ensures that even if they can't fine the problem the get find a 45 dollar diagnostic fee. They should of been a red flag, but I was stupid. After four days I called them up after ten so minutes on hold they found my computer and told me they planned to swap out the power. I explained that I had already done so and that it most likely the cpu seating. They said they would check that too and call me back. They never called back. On the fifth day I called them again, they where outside the store and wasn't able to check on my computer. Why they had the company phone outside the store is beyond me. I wait an hour and receive no phone call, I call again they say they checked the power supply and it's fine and there's no blown out capacitors on the motherboard so they don't think it's a shortage. But they would have a diagnosis on my cpu by the end of the day. At that point I had my fill, I tell them I will pick up in an hour. They say it's in parts. Another lie, but would have ready. And that it was definitely a faulty motherboard. Funny how they got so much work done in the hour before I picked it up and would order the a new mother board and install. I decline. Take it home and notice the cables are in the exact same arrangement as when I brought in. Even how tucked the cables under the hard drive to avoid fans. The exact same same cable layout! TLDR They are lazy, incompetent repairmen that will literally charge for doing nothing and wasting a week your time. They also have you sign a contract so they get there fee regardless of fixing the issue. Avoid at all cost! read more

First of all it's got a GREAT name! They fix Apple's and PC's! I took an older Apple there to fix the ear plug outlet. I couldn't get it to work. So I immediately ran to the Mac Store where they purportedly ran a diagnostics and said that my computer was destroyed - including my hard drive. I brought in my Macbook Pro (it's barely 8 years old and Apple and Melrose Mac considered it an Antique, obsolete and some other crazy words.) I GOT a new metal cover/ shell (my cover had a couple of dents in it, I GOT a new built in mouse track pad (mine was constantly fighting me, the arrow and track pad had gone rogue and was acting like I had been hacked. My tiny cursor arrow literally had a life of it's own and it was a constant battle. It was opening and deleting things on it's own and never letting me move it), I ALSO GOT a new Battery installed ("Need a new battery soon" warning came recently and my computer was overheating) and ADAM ALSO PUT IN a new part so my DVD's would "eject" out after I watch a DVD movie or had a disk in that would become stuck inside and wouldn't come out, this was due to when I dropped it several years ago. Apple wanted a fortune to replace cover and repair that part, as did Melrose Mac so I never repaired it all these years). ADAM REPAIRED and REPLACED ALL THESE THINGS FOR A VERY FAIR AND REASONABLE PRICE and it didn't take four days (It took one). So go see Adam at Adams Apple & PC. He can repair it and it will not take making a reservation that takes 4 days to make and then the other company will want to keep your computer or device for a 3-4 day minimum and change some crazy unbelievable price which makes you realize you probably should have bought a new computer instead. LOL. Adam's repair and service is NOTHING LIKE THIS. Totally profession, he gets the job done and has the best price in town. He is also a nice, honest and trustworthy guy. These guys do not know what they are doing and can not be trusted. I was having a problem with my iMac starting up, so I took it to them to have the operating system re-installed. They claimed that my hard drive was dead and I would need a new one. I agreed for them to install a new hard drive. When I picked my computer up, it was missing the plate that covers the RAM and the new hard drive lasted 2 days before it died completely. I took it back to them again, to fix their faulty repair job, and now the application I use the most, Final Cut Pro, will not open up. Every time I try to open the application it crashes. It's $1000 program that I can't use due to something they did to my extensions. The worst part is, I was able to put my old hard drive (thank god I asked for it back) into a MacPro and it worked. read more
