I got home with the notification that they could not deliver due to no signature available. I went online and had the package delivered to Office Depot. We've been coming to this OD since they opened. Today I went in to have my parking pass laminated. They now have a $5 minimum on everything, copies, printing and lamination. It rang up as $2.25 then a $2.75 minimum order surcharge was added. I will no longer use OD for copies, printing or supplies. read more

This store was a quick and convenient option for me to complete my fingerprints for a Census Enumerator position in my community. Service was fairly quick and the process was very easy. They like most other stores did not have hand sanitizer on hand, that is the only product we inquired about. If you're looking for storage options, they did have some containers visible. I had thought about getting them to store supplies I've been accumulating but didn't. The parking lot was large and many open spaces. All in all, this Office Depot met my needs but they were different than most. If you're reading this review and take anything at all from it, PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR 2020 CENSUS. It is extremely important and takes very little time to do. I'd like to say I'd hoped to be knocking on your door to help you complete it had you not but given the state of things, that is looking unlikely at the moment. On a normal day I wouldn't give this store anything more than 3 stars. Their carpet looks like it's never been clean. Stain and spills everywhere. Employees act like they don't want to be there. Now if you go in there to print something they make you login with your phone to be in a cue. Walked in yesterday 30 before closing for an office chair and walked out with more than I planned lol I was helped by Jeanette? Sorry if I misspelled. She's was super helpful, offered different colored options for the chair and assisted me finding for the things I was looking for. She also helped me out at check out and have helpful info on my office chair warranty! I have to say the most unhelpful staff I have ever encountered. I will never step into this store again. I have spend several hundred dollars through the years here and recently (today 5/6) spent another $20. I asked to get 4 quarters or a dollar and they said they couldnt open the register. They asked who I believe was the floating manager and she goes on to tell me they cannot give change. I explained, I had just spent $20 in here and they cant give me change? She said no. I received a cheap regular white table which I could of purchased anywhere for $70.00. I called this store and they said they would not accept returns. My experience was a total waste of my time and effort and it is still haunting me via email every day since apparently I'm now subscribed to get their emails?! I was looking for some foam board online the other night and, according to the Office Depot website, this location had one in stock. I ordered one to pick up at this location and paid via PayPal. Within an hour I received a canceled order email. In the email it said that Office Depot could not fill the order. This really confused me because it appeared that there were tons in stock at other locations and I would've been fine with them actually shipping it out to the Office Depot in Burbank. But instead of trying to make a sale they just canceled my order and I thought well, I guess you don't want my business. I had no intentions of leaving them a one star review at that time. However, that evening I received an email from Office Depot reminding me that I had something in my cart, even though I had already placed the order and it was already canceled. I ignored the email. Then the next day I received an email saying that I could receive 15 percent off if I made that purchase. Again, I ignored the email. Then, the next day, I received an email saying that I could get 20 percent off if I made that purchase. They said it was a last call. Well, I also ignored that email. Now today, days later, I am receiving emails that are just general Office Depot advertisements. Now why would I want to shop with you guys when you don't have what I want in stock even though your website says you do, and you just cancel my order yet you continue to email me suggesting that I make the purchase? And now I am subscribed to receive emails from you even though I never actually subscribed?! I am very careful about unchecking the box next to any potential "subscribe now" offers when I make purchases. And indeed, there was no offer to either subscribe or not subscribe when I tried to make the purchase. Went at 7:45 this morning with a print job for a Class I am teaching at CSUN starting tomorrow. I needed it done by the end of the day Class starts at 9 and I have to be there at 8am. Cellphone Required to make a Copies? WTF? I visited the Office Depot in Burbank, CA earlier today and might never go back again due to an absurd new store policy that effectively requires that prospective customers have a working smartphone on their person in order to shop for certain in-store items. My Experience: Last night, I visited the Office Depot website and submitted some documents via their Print Services page, to be printed out. In order to finalize the order you are required to pay in advance-which I did. As promised, I received a text message indicating that the order was ready for pickup. At approximately 1 PM today I stopped by the store to pick up my already paid for order. As I approached the Print Services counter, I encountered several people clustered around a sign at the entrance to a roped off line que. There was no one standing in line, but there was a gentleman being assisted at the counter so I hung back to wait. Within a minute or two the employee who had been helping at the counter asked me if I had "joined" yet. Not being sure about what she was asking, I said "no" and started to approach the counter. The copy-clerk signaled for me to stop, then said that in order for her to be able to help me--I would have to first download and install the Office Depot App onto my phone, then I had to "join the line" by clicking somewhere therein. I responded, "What if I don't have a phone?" as I stood there with my smartphone in hand. "But you do." she said "It is a new store policy, you have to get in line with the App before I can help you." I told her I was not going to be forced to install an App in order to pickup a purchase I had already made and asked to see the store manager. She refused to call anyone, instead she directed me the the cashier by the store entrance. I asked to see the manager on-duty and he made a phone call. Four minutes and thirty-two seconds later a woman allegedly named Stella approached me. She asked what she could do for me and I asked her if she was a manager. She said that she was, but I remain skeptical due to her being dressed in the same company polo shirt as the cashier was wearing and her lack of a name badge. I asked if she was the store manager and she again replied affirmatively. I told her that I had come in to pick up a print order that had already been paid for and asked if it was in fact their policy to not assist me unless I used their App. She then said, "Just this once..." she would allow me to skip the sign in process and she went to retrieve my order. Upon receipt of the box of documents I had printed I asked to have a receipt. Stella didn't reply. A sheet of paper was taped to the outside of the box I was picking up and I asked "Is this the receipt?" she nodded affirmatively (I discovered once I got home that it was NOT). This policy is asinine. Forcing a customer to install an unwanted computer program onto their device is a great way to drive business to a competitor. I purchased a wireless router a year ago and was sold a protection plan for it. I was told by the cashier that if anything went wrong all I had to do was bring it back and it would be replaced. The router stopped working and I went to the store to replace it and was told by the manager that there was nothing they can do in store and I had to call the insurance company to file a claim and then the manager handed me a pamphlet with info about the different plans they offer. The pamphlet did not contain the phone number I needed or any info about how to file a claim. read more

So, the next day after work, I get to Office Depot Burbank at around 5:45pm, the store is closed down, chained up, with caution tape plastered at the front entrance. Why say ready for pick up when the store is all shut down? The the "24/7" customer service I tried calling is closed with message saying to call back next day. Won't let me cancel my order online either... give me my money back! There's always something that gets messed up at Office Depot, I never learn! I shop at this store since the location in Studio City has closed. Decent parking lot, you can walk from the mall if you stopped there before. The selection is decent, prices a bit high, unless you find items on sale. Customer service- depends, some people are nice and helpful, some- it's hard to have a conversation with, not very savvy. They do fix computers here, too. I took my laptop here, unfortunately it was old and it would have been more expensive to fix it than buy a new one. I left it here to get my data out, which they did a good job with. The issue is they never called me to let me know when the work was done, I had to call several times, it was a hassle to get an answer. They mail you coupons, but each time I try to use one, it doesn't work for the merchandise I get. It's a good option to have around. read more

The print order for presentations was printed incorrectly. I ordered a comb binding and it was spiral bound. The tabs were supposed to have printing and they were blank. There was a large, black thumb print on the presentation tab also. I returned them for a refund and went to another company to print these instead. I won't be coming back. read more

I was fooled into buying the "protection plan", which was described to me as a way of "quickly getting a replacement if anything goes wrong". That was a complete lie. DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS AND DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIES ABOUT PROTECTION PLANS. When my Office Depot briefcase broke - and it did break quickly - I went to the store. Nope - sorry, we don't exchange or refund, you have to go to Allstate / SquareTrade. What!? I have to go to an insurance company? Seriously?! All insurance companies practice the 80/20 rule - reject 100% of the claims and 80% will get so frustrated with the process, that they'll just quit. Have come here several times over the years and it's always a good experience. Came here few weeks ago to get some documents printed (since we weren't home). It was quick and didn't cost much. The guys that work here are helpful and double check before wasting your time/money. I love that they also have gift cards here. I ended up calling the store and asked for the store managers name... again another girl was a bit hesitant to give me the info.. after being persistent I said when will she be in and of course I got the IM NOT SURE.. let me check the schedule deal... then she comes back to say well not sure when she will be in maybe in the afternoon but she's very busy... now how that made any sense to her I don't know.. at the end all I got was leave your number and ill give her the message IF I see her!!
