Went for lunch and breakfast the next day. The food is pretty good and not bad pricing. The staff is helpful and nice. The place is clean. The sports bar label is just a banner, it's more like Norm's. A good spot to hit up if you are hungry or like looking at pictures of airplanes. Plenty of parking. read more

Their utensils are not clean. Also just got a spoon with a stain on it . This isn't my favorite place to come, to eat breakfast. I have come here couple of times and not satisfied of this place. read more

Monday night (November 15) my men & I walked into Lulu's restaurant, we requested from the bartender (tall, blonde , older women) a table for five people. She very rudely told us "No! I don't have space for five" & so I said "okay, do you have any tables you could put together for us" & again she said "No!" & shooed us away to the dining room. This women's name was something along the name Katy. My men & I then went along to find ourselves a table in the dining room, our dining room waitress (Red short hair, Hispanic lady) & the manager became aware of the situation, & GLADY seated us in the bar (meaning definitely there was space). The waitress that served us did great, but the bartender was giving us death glares all night long, she made us feel real uncomfortable and discriminated. If it were not for the the bartender I would recommend this place because the food was good and the service from our waitress was wonderful & nothing but great attitude from her. read more

Haven't been here for BBQ yet, only breakfast. The food is delicious to say the least. My biscuits and gravy and country fried steak was the best I've ever had. The prices are reasonable and our waitress Morena was very sweet, attentive and hard working. Definitely are new favorite breakfast spot. read more

Good Food. The restaurant is kind of worn down and it doesn't look like most modern day sports bars. It looks and feels more like a Denny's with Sports TV's and Alcohol but they do cook some great homely food. Yes, thats a good way to describe the food. Homely. Recommend the Monte Cristo, and their Chili Smothered burger. Not sure what that 2nd one was called but it was delicious. read more

Such a fan of Lulu's! Lulu's club burger is really good & their biscuits even better. I haven't been disappointing with my order. My stomach always goes home happy. Whenever I'm in the area I try to come by for a meal! read more

Pretty good food and service, little pricey for me so don't come here often, not bad overall.

These guys have the best chicken wings and I was very pleased with the change in delivery service. I had a bad experience once when they were short a driver but they totally made up for it and are hardworking people. If you like chicken wings, this is the place to get them delivered to your house. Their burgers and bbq tri tip are really tasty too. read more

Don't order from them on grubhub or eat24. It's clear that they don't pay much attention to the orders they receive for delivery. If you read the reviews people write on eat24 you'll see that people mention how they forget things in orders. I experienced that today, called and all they did was give me a "credit". It's gonna go to waste cos I won't order from here again. **EDIT: Thank you Mike C. for the apology and for talking to your team about what happened. Yes, I will try you guys out again, love that ranch burger ! read more

Lulu's Restaurant - Brisket plate. Good but I was still hungry after .It comes with a baked potato - American Near Me - Van Nuys, California

The Tri-tip was spot on. The beer cold and the mixed drinks made well! Prompt friendly staff, great place to have dinner and a drink.

Monica, our server, was very attentive and wonderful. Our food was delicious, as well! To start, we had the best tableside sourdough bread and butter i have ever had...so good! I had the tuna salad half sandwich, french onion soup, and potato salad. My mom had the tuna melt with French fries. We actually ended up switching sandwiches, I liked the tuna melt a little better and she liked the cold version. It was all very tasty, fresh and filling! We will definitely be coming here again soon. read more

Huge portions of great food at great prices with a really friendly staff & management team. Works for me! I'll be returning again & again until I go through that whole menu! And they have a comedy night on Fridays in the back room while Karaoke is happening on their heated patio. A great way to hang out on a Friday night. Really casual & FUN! read more

Outstanding service, great people, historic place. Thank you for always making it an exceptional experience.

Before Covid 19 my friends and I ate at Lulus once or twice a week. I went to honor them by placing a to-go order and the owner, a waitress, and a cook were there. All three were not covering their noses with their masks. I brought it to the owner's attention and he said his nose was too small to cover it. The waitress and the cook did nothing to change. I am not going to take a chance getting the virus from people who do not pay attention to the severity of this illness. read more

Haven't been here in a while and this time was definitely better than previous meals. The waitress was attentive and offered to make a change in the menu for me. The Chicken Wrap was great and the potato salad was fine. Working nearby, I'll be back . read more

I've been here a few times, and it's usually nothing special, but lately it has been a little bit more lacking. Both hosts and servers have practically leaned on me to reach across the table to hand someone a menu or refill their drink, guest drinks have gone empty for too long, and sometimes items were completely forgotten from the order. The food is still fine, and the employees are still friendly. They just need to brush up on their skills a little, I guess. read more

My family decided to get a pre-made Thanksgiving dinner this year and put our traditions of cooking and chaos into retirement. We've done it before with a big chain restaurant and while the meal was great, the black-Friday like atmosphere of waiting in a line for over an hour to pick up was discouraging.   Lulu's proved an amazing upgrade for us.  The food was great! Well prepared and with excellent proportions.  Granted we were only feeding three instead of the advertised 14, we have plenty of leftovers and our stretchy-pants got a great workout. What made the experience a real winner for us was ease and efficiency.   We ordered 2 weeks in advance, but could have waited until the day before.  There was plenty of parking and no waiting. I was told I could pick up my dinner at 3 pm, and when I got there at 3:05 it was ready for me.  The cashier was friendly, quickly showed me all of my items were there and even helped me carry it to the car.  I was on the road with my dinner by 3:10.   And this was all on the day before Thanksgiving! If there is a Lulu's near you, I highly recommend them for a holiday dinner to take home. This was done the way it should always be done.  My wife and I will never cook another holiday dinner again. read more

My friend and I found this place one totally random day. I love it!!!!!! They have a very simple, very American menu, but good. I love the service! The waitresses are super friendly and have a great sense of humor! Their food is good- very typical, but still good nonetheless. I used to get their Avocado BLT (minus the bacon ;) and with a side of thousand island). I know sounds strange- but really really good! Friendly atmosphere- It almost always feels like a lazy Sunday Afternoon in the place which makes me relaxed. Nice place- good for groupsand never too crowded! read more

I work not to far from here and it is generally a good place to hit up on a lunch hour. It doesn't get too busy there but sometimes they can be slow. I haven't really had anything bad here. They only have one size for soup now and that is a bowl. It isn't all that cheap for a bowl either but if you want soup then there will be plenty. Their French Onion is pretty decent and so is their Split Pea. Their burgers and sandwiches are also pretty good. They have a no frills grilled cheese that is pleasing and so are the size of their burgers. Their breakfasts are also big and satifying. I like their scrambles and their breakfast burrito is huge. Sometimes their wait staff can get a little snotty when they get overwhelmed but they are never really rude. read more

A solid 3.5 stars. My inner food snob is appalled that I'm rounding up to a 4...but when the entire meal is free, what right do I have to complain? Some friends and I made the trip here for an association meeting. When trying to imagine what kind of restaurant Lulu's would be, we unanimously pictured Denny's, Carrows, or Cocoa's. Though Lulu's is family-owned, we were essentially right about the style of food. This is about as traditional as American food can get, which is not neccesarily a bad thing. Enticed by the Twofer sign out front (Lulu's is obviously NOT aiding in America's battle against obesity), a friend and I ordered the fried zucchini, an entree each, and the cookie pie with ice cream to share. Hello, gym! The fried zucchini were suspiciously even and perfectly rectangular logs, about the size of a deck of cards each. They were crunchy but bland, and the ranch dipping sauce didn't add much to the flavor. But I wasn't expecting much anyway. For my entree, I got the tri-tip and didn't realize that apparently Lulu's strength is in its salads and sandwiches (as practically everyone else had a sandwich). Ordering meat is always risky, and I was prepared for the worst. The plate was sparse and didn't look particularly appetizing, as it consisted of three long strips of meat and a few charred bell peppers and carrots. But, despite being a little too heavy on the pepper, the meat tasted fine and was suprisingly tender. It was filling, and I couldn't even make it half-way through. And the dessert...I actually blushed when the waiter brought it to our table. Yes, that huge piece of ice cream-topped, chocolate syrup-covered cookie was mine. Yes, I would go on to finish every last bit of it. Yes, I would regret it immensely. But oh it was sinfully good... Would I have rated Lulu's the same way if I had paid for this meal? Maybe not. But it's darn good for being free. read more

This place is a really nice restaurant to visit. It does say they are a sports bar, but honestly it is more of a diner. There is a small bar area with TV's so that is the sports bar, but the rest is a restaurant. They do serve beer and wine throughout the restaurant. The dining area has enough space, but there are very few TV's to watch games. So it is more of a family restaurant than an actual bar. The service here is absolutely fantastic! Everyone was so kind, very energetic and happy. They made eating there so comfortable and they were clear if something cost more or not, it is always good to know. The food was ready quick too, and the server let us know an estimated time it would take. So the environment was really great. The food was pretty good too. I had ordered the broasted chicken, and they served a lot of pieces. I had to take some home. I liked the roasted vegetables, and the mashed potatoes were good, but a little bit salty for my taste. The chicken was cooked golden and very juicy, so I was happy with that. My bf ordered the flat iron steak and he loved it. He wished they added more vegetables, but he was still happy with his meal. In general, this was a really nice quiet and relaxing place to visit for dinner. It didn't have big crowds, so it is a good place to hang out and have great conversation. read more

Please work on the quality of the food. The chicken and waffles dish was not very pleasing. The chicken was really fatty and greasy and the waffles tasted a little foamy. It is a little dissapointing to order food and not enjoy it. However, thank you for at least seasoning the chicken well. read more

The service is alright and I'm not that impressed with some of the items on the menu, but I really like their salad selections. The first time I went there I got the open face turkey sandwich, which is served on plain white bread and the turkey & gravy looks like it came out of a can. The french dip is a little better, but still pretty average. At least it's not on sliced white bread. But I have really liked all of the salads I've tried. The southwest chicken salad is my favorite, I order it all the time. It comes with a broad assortment of chopped veggies, including avacado, tomatoes, carrots zucchinis, and a couple other things I can't remember. The chicken is lightly breaded and sliced up into finger sized strips. The cajun shrimp ceaser salad is also pretty good. The salads are generally quite big too, I don't think I've ever finished one in a single sitting. read more

I typically only come here for the salads. Cobb or Chefs. I remember coming here over a decade ago and not liking the roast beef in their Chef Salad, now I miss it. Not only because they seem to have gone cheaper (business is always so slow when I go in the evenings so no wonder) and smaller. I'd say a little overpriced, but it's always quick and service is fair. I do remember going in the past (years ago, closer to 2000) and always sitting in the back room, but like I said now it's so empty. read more

I'll start with a caveat, I've only ordered delivery while working late just down the street (twice). But Boy, was it delicious! OMG, the steak was perfectly cooked, the grilled veggies done perfectly, and the mashed potatoes... To die for! I kinda want to take a 1/2 star off for seeds left in the grilled bell pepper, but considering the harsh criticism of some previous reviewers, I'll let that slide. Seriously, the meal was excellent, the delivery super fast, the food piping hot. They even gave me a 1/2 loaf of bread with real whipped butter! I'm getting hungry all over again! Hey Lulu's, thanks for the great food and not towing my car when I can't find parking at Starbucks next door in the mornings. I'll be ordering take out again very soon. Hmmm, maybe tonight! read more

My go to delivery spot. They offer cash delivery and the food is always amazing. Honestly gets me upset when I see people write bad reviews about this spot on here. To be fair, I've never been in to the actual spot so on location reviews I can't speak for, but for the actual food .. this place is among the best. On top of it all, the delivery charge is less than 2$ and the food is reasonably priced. Idk if you guys at lulu's read these but I'm hoping someday I get to thank anybody from there in person. For now it's thank you from my tiny phone screen. Updating to include that now that I've got a bunch of different locations under my belt Lulus remains the best. Wish they had ceviche. But honestly do yourself a favor and order the $15.99 bbq brisket. That is seriously one of the best dishes and/or versions of that I have ever had. Absolutely delicious. I swear man, I am so happy I found this place. Manager is always on the ball... just a great great place. Can't say enough good things. Oh and I had an issue once where my order was wrong on the app, so I called and it was fixed without a problem and with the upmost courtesy. Top to bottom, the best. I wish everybody shared my experience. read more

Im not giving this place good reviews just cuz i eat here free once in a while. well maybe i am. I know and work with the owner and manger at lulu's Elliot and Michael. Both good guys, I've seen the kitchen and back. Very Clean, Ive seen alot of kitchens in my day and this is a proper place. As for the good, one of the few places to get a good salad. If you know the area there is not much to eat here other then drive thrus. I love the Cesear Cajun Shrimp Salad myself, I also dig on the open face meatloaf sandwich once in a while. Elliot let me try out the brownies they make, and they are freaking good. This a nice diner in a bare food area. read more

What an amazing staff including management this restaurant has. Had a problem with a delivery service and they were more than helpful and remade the order at no cost to me. And not to mention my breakfast was wonderful! I have been in the restaurant business for almost 2 decades now and this was possibly the best customer service I have ever received. The Manager Efrain and I really apologize because I forgot her name but she and the manager are absolutely lovely human beings. I will definitely be ordering food to go from this place again and definitely will dine in at some point as well. Thank you again Lulu's for absolutely wonderful service! read more

Sadly, I recently moved to the Bay Area after living in L.A. my whole life and I can honestly says that I miss Lulu's. I grew up going to Lulu's for the awesome breakfast (the french toast is the best with raisins and cinammon!!!) and I haven't been able to find another restaurant since that cures my cravings as well as Lulu's. Aside from the delicious breakfast, they have a HUGE menu full of delicious items like sandwiches, salads, etc. The appetizers are REALLY good too like the mozzarella cheese sticks and the potato skins. Anyway, I would highly recommend that you check it out....hopefully I'll be going down to L.A. soon and while I'm in town, I'm for sure stopping by my favorite ol' restaurant. read more

I ordered delivery from thi place, saw so many reviews and decided to try.. I work in Van Nuys and get food pretty often.. Yes they deserve 5 stars. The hospitality, food and service is unbeatable. I ordered the eggs and steak for breakfast and its was stupendous. The service is wonderful, especially Mike, he greets you with a smile and tender eyes, you can see the kindness on his face. He makes you feel like family and he welcomes you in his home.
