My parents really like this place and have been coming here for years. As a kid, I thought it was pretty good--I usually ordered a hamburger. I came here with my parents, yesterday for lunch. The host/bus boy who sat us was friendly and made us fresh strawberry lemonade. However, the server was terrible. I ordered the fish and chips lunch special and it was supposed to come with sour dough bread. The server didn't bring it and when we asked for it, she said, "you don't really want it, do you?" It was at least 30 minutes before she checked on us to see if we needed anything. I was very thirsty and never received a refill of my lemonade that I had asked for. In addition, my dad asked one of the bus boys for water for all three of us and he only brought two waters. The fish and chips was OK--nothing special. For the area where fast food dominates, Lulus is a place where you can sit down and get a decent meal. The food is well prepared and the portion size is nice. If you happen to be a family with children, kids eat for about $3 or $4 from the kids menu. The staff has always been friendly. My go to delivery spot. They offer cash delivery and the food is always amazing. Honestly gets me upset when I see people write bad reviews about this spot on here. To be fair, I've never been in to the actual spot so on location reviews I can't speak for, but for the actual food .. this place is among the best. On top of it all, the delivery charge is less than 2$ and the food is reasonably priced. Idk if you guys at lulu's read these but I'm hoping someday I get to thank anybody from there in person. Haven't been here for BBQ yet, only breakfast. The food is delicious to say the least. My biscuits and gravy and country fried steak was the best I've ever had. Good Food. The restaurant is kind of worn down and it doesn't look like most modern day sports bars. It looks and feels more like a Denny's with Sports TV's and Alcohol but they do cook some great homely food. Yes, thats a good way to describe the food. Homely. Don't order from them on grubhub or eat24. It's clear that they don't pay much attention to the orders they receive for delivery. If you read the reviews people write on eat24 you'll see that people mention how they forget things in orders. I experienced that today, called and all they did was give me a "credit". These guys have the best chicken wings and I was very pleased with the change in delivery service. I had a bad experience once when they were short a driver but they totally made up for it and are hardworking people. If you like chicken wings, this is the place to get them delivered to your house. What an amazing staff including management this restaurant has. Had a problem with a delivery service and they were more than helpful and remade the order at no cost to me. Monica, our server, was very attentive and wonderful. Our food was delicious, as well! To start, we had the best tableside sourdough bread and butter i have ever had...so good! I had the tuna salad half sandwich, french onion soup, and potato salad. My mom had the tuna melt with French fries. We actually ended up switching sandwiches, I liked the tuna melt a little better and she liked the cold version. It was all very tasty, fresh and filling! My friend and I found this place one totally random day. I love it!!!!!! They have a very simple, very American menu, but good. I love the service! The waitresses are super friendly and have a great sense of humor! Their food is good- very typical, but still good nonetheless. I used to get their Avocado BLT (minus the bacon ;) and with a side of thousand island). I know sounds strange- but really really good! I work not to far from here and it is generally a good place to hit up on a lunch hour. It doesn't get too busy there but sometimes they can be slow. I haven't really had anything bad here. They only have one size for soup now and that is a bowl. It isn't all that cheap for a bowl either but if you want soup then there will be plenty. Their French Onion is pretty decent and so is their Split Pea. Their burgers and sandwiches are also pretty good. They have a no frills grilled cheese that is pleasing and so are the size of their burgers. Their breakfasts are also big and satifying. I like their scrambles and their breakfast burrito is huge. Sometimes their wait staff can get a little snotty when they get overwhelmed but they are never really rude. read more

A solid 3.5 stars. My inner food snob is appalled that I'm rounding up to a 4...but when the entire meal is free, what right do I have to complain? Some friends and I made the trip here for an association meeting. When trying to imagine what kind of restaurant Lulu's would be, we unanimously pictured Denny's, Carrows, or Cocoa's. Though Lulu's is family-owned, we were essentially right about the style of food. This is about as traditional as American food can get, which is not neccesarily a bad thing. Enticed by the Twofer sign out front (Lulu's is obviously NOT aiding in America's battle against obesity), a friend and I ordered the fried zucchini, an entree each, and the cookie pie with ice cream to share. Hello, gym! The fried zucchini were suspiciously even and perfectly rectangular logs, about the size of a deck of cards each. They were crunchy but bland, and the ranch dipping sauce didn't add much to the flavor. But I wasn't expecting much anyway. For my entree, I got the tri-tip and didn't realize that apparently Lulu's strength is in its salads and sandwiches (as practically everyone else had a sandwich). Ordering meat is always risky, and I was prepared for the worst. The plate was sparse and didn't look particularly appetizing, as it consisted of three long strips of meat and a few charred bell peppers and carrots. But, despite being a little too heavy on the pepper, the meat tasted fine and was suprisingly tender. It was filling, and I couldn't even make it half-way through. And the dessert...I actually blushed when the waiter brought it to our table. Yes, that huge piece of ice cream-topped, chocolate syrup-covered cookie was mine. Yes, I would go on to finish every last bit of it. Yes, I would regret it immensely. But oh it was sinfully good... Would I have rated Lulu's the same way if I had paid for this meal? Maybe not. I typically only come here for the salads. Cobb or Chefs. I remember coming here over a decade ago and not liking the roast beef in their Chef Salad, now I miss it. Not only because they seem to have gone cheaper (business is always so slow when I go in the evenings so no wonder) and smaller. I eat at Lulu's at least once a week. They have a wide menu, and the food tastes great. More importantly, their staff is always warm and attentive. The service is alright and I'm not that impressed with some of the items on the menu, but I really like their salad selections. The first time I went there I got the open face turkey sandwich, which is served on plain white bread and the turkey & gravy looks like it came out of a can. The french dip is a little better, but still pretty average. At least it's not on sliced white bread. But I have really liked all of the salads I've tried. The southwest chicken salad is my favorite, I order it all the time. It comes with a broad assortment of chopped veggies, including avacado, tomatoes, carrots zucchinis, and a couple other things I can't remember. The chicken is lightly breaded and sliced up into finger sized strips. The cajun shrimp ceaser salad is also pretty good. The salads are generally quite big too, I don't think I've ever finished one in a single sitting. read more

This place is a really nice restaurant to visit. It does say they are a sports bar, but honestly it is more of a diner. There is a small bar area with TV's so that is the sports bar, but the rest is a restaurant. They do serve beer and wine throughout the restaurant. The dining area has enough space, but there are very few TV's to watch games. So it is more of a family restaurant than an actual bar. The service here is absolutely fantastic! Everyone was so kind, very energetic and happy. They made eating there so comfortable and they were clear if something cost more or not, it is always good to know. The food was ready quick too, and the server let us know an estimated time it would take. So the environment was really great. The food was pretty good too. I had ordered the broasted chicken, and they served a lot of pieces. I had to take some home. I liked the roasted vegetables, and the mashed potatoes were good, but a little bit salty for my taste. The chicken was cooked golden and very juicy, so I was happy with that. My bf ordered the flat iron steak and he loved it. He wished they added more vegetables, but he was still happy with his meal. Im not giving this place good reviews just cuz i eat here free once in a while. well maybe i am. I know and work with the owner and manger at lulu's Elliot and Michael. Both good guys, I've seen the kitchen and back. Very Clean, Ive seen alot of kitchens in my day and this is a proper place. As for the good, one of the few places to get a good salad. If you know the area there is not much to eat here other then drive thrus. I love the Cesear Cajun Shrimp Salad myself, I also dig on the open face meatloaf sandwich once in a while.
