They'll take your order and you pay right when you enter and you get a number to put on your table. This was very convenient especially when you're super hungry because you don't need to wait for the waiter/waitress. Since i struck out on Biscuit Bitch for a second time, I took my girlfriend, who had never been to Seattle before into the Pike Street Market where we decided to try this long-lasting establishment. You walk in a side door and see the cooks hard at work. Once you get to the corner, a nice person takes your order and gets you the drinks that you walk away with on a three-floor layout with views of Puget Sound. The second floor has a bar that you can definitely get a good screwdriver at. I chose to keep it classy with eggs, hash browns and sourdough toast. My girlfriend had a Chorizo omelet sprinkled with Cotija cheese and hash browns alongside green chile salsa. She also got a cup of oatmeal with flaxseeds, brown sugar, and a side of strawberries and blueberries. Everything was delicious, as was the fresh orange juice we shared. The place is very classy and the help is always walking around to either clear a table or bring you your food with speed. We will definitely come back for such great food and recommend anyone being a tourist to have breakfast there. They are fast at getting the food out so just sit back and enjoy the view. read more

My cousins recommended this place to me, although it wasn't necessary as they took me with them instead, and I was honestly excited for the hype; The hype was not diminished. I decided to try the smoked salmon Benedict, also let me let you know now that I've never had any kind of Benedict until now so there was a little mystery and some worry to how I'd like it already in the air. After my first bite I took another and then another and then another until it was all gone. Surely and 10/10 is a bit much to say but I truly think that was one of the best breakfasts I've had and I don't really care for breakfast in general. The place looks amazing with the amazing view as well just truly adds to the experience, with the person taking our order very quick we were able to enjoy our breakfast that much quicker. Came in on a weekday morning for breakfast with some clients. First time here, so I'm glad I came with a local who knew the ropes. They have large menu boards and you order your food and drinks at the register. Once you've order, grab a table number and head out to find a table. It's open seating and we were there shortly after opening so we grabbed a table on the upper level right by the window. On a nice day, it's hard to beat the views. After sitting down, you grab your own coffee and silverware/napkins. The staff brings up your order and clears the tables after eating. I thought the food came up in a timely fashion, but it wasn't too busy. As for the food, I went with the crab benedict while everyone else in my group went with the breakfast tacos (which looked good!). I thought the flavor of the benedict was good, but the eggs were a bit over cooked for my preferences and didn't run when cut through. Given the price tag, I'd like this to be a bit better, but overall it was good. Hash browns could be crispier but not a huge deal for me. Good food, great views, definitely worth a visit. read more

Food is great but on the pricy side. But that view! My kiddos orders the fried shrimp/prawns every time. Hubby orders fish n chips and bowl or chowder. I've had a few things: Louis seafood salad is epic. It has shrimp, crab, salmon, veggies, etc. The mixed seafood plate offers similar fish but with veggies and rice. This last time I tried the tacos. Lowell's is a historic restaurant that sits on prime real estate in the center of the main walkway of the market, they are well known and absolutely deserving of all the traffic and attention they draw whether it's from their name prominently displayed over the market, or the lines to get in. 3 dining floors with windows overlooking Elliott Bay and the Seattle Great Wheel meet you after the cashier. We had a beautiful day today (it poured hard yesterday) so we were lucky to have clear sunshine, and perfect pictures. Lowell's Hot Dungeness Crab Melt comes with fries, salty pickle slices and a lemon wedge. The bacon tomato jam just slightly overpowered the crab, but still absolutely delicious. Melted mozzarella over the crab between grilled rustic rye bread pulls it all together for a lunch you won't be forgetting. Andrew was extremely friendly and helpful when I was trying to decide on one of their in-house flavored vodkas! My first was the pineapple vodka and I truly wish they sold it by the bottle, Fabulous!!! I wanted to try the bacon vodka, however I was not in the mood for a Bloody Mary. I did have the Rosemary & Fennel vodka next and it was a flavor burst. It almost has a ginger beer/Mule taste. It tasted great with just some tonic. Then I ate the Tiger Prawns With house made cocktail sauce. I'd have liked to have a little more kick in the cocktail sauce, however that's just a personal preference and I could have asked for some hot sauce! I would 100% recommend. The best part was that I was looking at pictures of my niece and nephew while sitting at Lowell's from their trip to Washington and I happened to go to the same restaurant/ sat in the same section as they did in March and I didn't even know they ate there. Thursday morning breakfast. Wanted table service so we asked at door and was told we could go up to second floor where there was another host to seat us. Our two top was close enough to have a nice view without having to be right at window. Friendly Gal brought tea and coffee. Having read recent reviews about hashbrowns not being cooked enough we ordered ours extra crispy. Food came pretty quickly. Dungeness Crab Benedict on rosemary bread for me and slow roasted brisket hash for Husband. He loved his. One of my Benedicts was perfect. The other egg was overcooked, but still tasted good. The star of the show was the crab and the overall flavor combo. But hashbrowns were the exact opposite of crispy. Barely cooked. Saved me lots of calories though. An institutition that I've gone to every few years going back to the 90's. I wouldn't be surprised if they go back much further. It's not cheap, but aside from paying for the location, they offer really good quality food that I'd argue could be charged even if it was situated outside of Pike's place. The crab cakes had more crab and less filler than almost anywhere else I've been to. I love the breading on their fish and chips, and even for the kids tenders, they do hand-breaded and almost certainly not from frozen. So yeah, not too cheap, but still enjoyable and there's far worse tourist traps out there than this. read more

Overall, I found the market packed, confusing and overwhelming, but once I found the entrance to Lowells and headed up the stairs, I felt immediately calmed... This was our first stop in Seattle. We were recommended this place by our Hotel. This place did not disappoint. We sat next to the window and got a GREAT view. I am vegetarian so was nervous they wouldn't have great options. Even though it was limited it was so yummy. My boyfriend got the clam chowder and fish and chips. He mentioned how fresh it tasted! I got the split pea soup of the day and oh my goodness it was so yummy. My only mistake was not ordering a bigger bowl! I also got the vegetarian sandwich and it was delicious. Came here for a late Sunday lunch before we took our friend to the airport. We ordered the fish and chips ($18.75), cup of clam chowder ($7), and crispy calamari ($15.95). Overall I think the food was okay. I think the clam chowder was less than 8oz due to the thick cup they used and it was a little chilled as if it were sitting out for a bit. The crispy calamari weren't crisp at all but the calamari itself was tender so it may have been sitting out to steam under other food as well. The fish was okay but I wasn't feeling fish at the time so I only tried a bite but the chips were good with the seasoning they put on top. Not bad overall but I think I would go somewhere else for clam chowder as it was okay compared to some other ones I've had especially with this place being next to the waterfront I had slightly higher expectations. read more

Rise and shine for those who are already at Pikes Market and hungry before 11am. Most of the shops are not open until 11am unless it's for coffee and/or pastries. Breakfast to start the day but didn't want anything too filling because the plan is to eat all day. Ordered a basic breakfast: Corned Beef Hash. Note: don't order the corned beef hash. I was really debating on getting their crab benedict or their crab melt. So much regret not getting those instead. My dilemma was not wanting to get too full and spend around $30 just for myself for breakfast since that's how much the crab benedict/melt would cost BUT it might have been a better option. Good hash brown, sourdough toast, over easy eggs but the corned beef was sooo dry and soo bland. Salt, pepper, hot sauce couldn't really save it either. I was sad but I guess I should have stuck with my first choice. I'd still come back though and try the other stuff on their menu. The line wasn't too bad around 10am and I liked their concept of ordering first and selecting a table after. Selected a table upstairs and luckily found one by the window with a view of The Great Wheel. This made the experience nice, somewhat forgave the corned beef hash by sitting next to the window. Breakfast tacos (chorizo) were really good and filling. Hash browns aren't crispy but with seasoning and condiments, they were a nice complement to the meal. Service was super quick and masked up still (covid). There are three floors. 1. Order at counter and self seated. 2. Seated by staffed and waited on. 3. Order at counter and self seated (best views). Each floor has water views, you will just need to scout for tables and fight the long lines and crowds for it. Last, the interior is pretty run down. It's aging with the market so it doesn't feel the most clean or up kept by management. The place is also pricy so it feels like an unnecessary tourist trap for a low value. read more
