Meat

Food wasn't amazing- the combo meat meal with the steak Was pur best option and honestly we didn't need appetizers! Just bbq meat all the way. I did like the sauce condiments as they include the salt pepper and the garlicky orange sauce. No lettuce but rice was include - the small Side included a salad.

Bibimbap with sliced beef

Walked in at 5:50 PM on a Saturday and there was no wait for the two of us. My boyfriend and I ordered the marinated short ribs (galbi) and bibimbap with sliced beef from the à la carte menu. It ended up being the perfect amount of food for us - we didn't want leftovers because we were heading to a show. The galbi was amazing! I also loved the sauces - the chili paste was sooo good. Great banchan, too. Finally, our server was really friendly. We visited the famed Agassi Gopchang next door a few weeks later, and I thought Love was better. Will definitely be back.

This was my second time coming in, first time dining alone. I wanted to make a reservation but was running late so I just walked in and was seated promptly. The place was busy but not super packed. My waiter came quickly, I ordered the bulgogi kimchi fries and the à la carte bulgogi. The fries came out quickly and the special sauce was amazing along side the cheese sauce. A definite must. The bulgogi was cooked to perfection, and I enjoyed all the sides including my favorite the kimchi. I didn't get to enjoy the salad so I took it home with the rest of my bulgogi. And my waiter even gave me some extra kimchi! Service was great and quick, place was busy but not super loud. Prices were pretty good too, when I came the first time I came with my friend and we did the all you can eat which was about $100 per person. That was an enjoyable experience too. I'll definitely be back!

The first time I came here years ago I vowed to be back. I have been to Korean BBQS all around and none of them match this places vibe. I love that the workers here get to know you, everyone is nice, friendly and willing to help you have a good time always. In the middle of the city you never expect kindness like I've received here. This time around I ordered different things and as usual everything tasted amazing. This time we had the server cook the food for us which turned out to be quicker and more effective so I do recommend that if you're not too excited to cook yourself. There are many bbq places in the city but the food here is quality and never leaves me with a stomach ache like I've gotten at other places. The drinks here are also fantastic and in general the location is the best! Thank you for an amazing time and I will 100% be back.

Love Korean BBQ is situated in a prime location in Koreatown and my family and I were craving KBBQ. They allowed walk ins which was great! They have an option for AYCE ($100 for 90 min) or a la carte, and we opted for a la carte. We got the beef set A which included an option for boneless rib, tenderloin, or Denver steak. We opted for the boneless rib. The set also comes with ribeye, brisket, skirt steak, rib finger and bulgogi! It also comes with an option of sides and we opted for the cheese steamed egg. This set was perfect for my family which was a group of 5 ladies! We also got the corn cheese which everyone really liked! We got the regular banchans and rice included for the meal so this was perfect way to pair everything. This restaurant also has a DJ playing music but I didn't think it was too bad and we could still hear and talk to each other. The service was great - they help cook the meat in front of you which I always appreciate! Highly recommend this spot!

Overall: Love KBBQ is a pretty solid Korean BBQ spot. They have good service and fairly generous portion sizes. Food: I got the bimbimbap and it was fairly large. It came in a large stone pot and the rice on the bottom was nice and crispy. Added the gochujang and I was all set. Service: The service here is pretty fast. We came at a not too busy time. Ambiance: This is a casual sit-down place. Lots of seating.

Came to this restaurant after recommendation from a Korean friend who works in the industry. Our table was of six people so we were seated downstairs, a pretty place with dim lights and lots of big tables. Service was fast and they explained everything well, but there was some difficulty with communication about the drinks. Twice we asked for a bottle of sparking water and we had to ask multiple times, as if we were ignored (lol); a friend ordered a drink and was brought a glass of wine by mistake. No problem, they changed it. But both that drinks and my old fashioned tasted like straight up gasoline. Probably having some wine would have been better. But they had these drinks on the menu so I thought it was weird that their execution was so poor. Anyways, the meats were marbled and amazing and tasty, cooked perfectly, you can see the quality of it. So I'm not too mad... but drinks were $17 each would come back but order Coca Cola instead.

Perfect for a spontaneous night out with friends. Big portions, good food, and casual but friendly service. As expected at 9:30pm, our party of three didn't need to wait for a table. The music is banging and the place is open until 1 for anyone who wants late night kbbq and soju shots. For our party of three, an order of bulgogi kimchi fries, spicy octopus, and marinated kalbi was the perfect amount of food in addition to the free banchan. Everything worked tasted great in combination. The kimchi fries and marinated kalbi were delicious while the octopus was a little chewier than we would've liked. Flavor-wise, the octopus tasted great and was sautéed with vegetables and udon making it a filling dish. Split amongst three people, this was a decently priced and filling dinner that prepared us for the long night we had ahead. No complaints.

Phil cooked everything for us

I went for Valentine's Day and had the best meal of my life. The meat was so tender and flavorful, and the servers cooked and cut it for us. Our server, Phil, was extremely attentive and kind. We ordered a Valentine's Day special; we got to try several meats with sides, a bottle of wine, and a big slice of cheesecake. It was great. I can't wait to go back one day.

Pork Belly, LA Galbi, Beef Bibimbap, Cheese Steam Egg, Seafood Tofu Stew, and Kimchi Pork Stew

LOVE Korean BBQ is an informal KBBQ joint that offers AYCE and a la carte. For a restaurant in NYC, there are a decent number of seats and tables. The servers were fairly attentive to my table and the food came out quick. My friends and I came in during the weekday and got their lunch special which was a la carte. I ordered the Pork Belly and Cheese Steam Egg. Since I got their lunch special "meat," the Pork Belly was already grilled for me. It was really good! The cut was thick and juicy. I just dipped the pork belly in salt and ate it with rice and it was tasted great. I do think that the order of Pork Belly was too much for me to finish on my own, but I have a small stomach. The Cheese Steam Egg was not to my taste. It had truffle oil of sorts on the top and I think there was too much cheese. The egg was also cooked thoroughly and it tasted more like an omelette as opposed to a steamed egg at KBBQ. The sides were good and I especially liked their kimchi as it was spicy. Overall, I think this is a nice place for KBBQ, but the prices were a bit high than what I am used to and what I like.

Nav S.

Steamed truffle egg!!!! Hands down the best item. Don't miss out on it. Meats were fresh and delicious. We did the all you can eat 100 per person and time limit of 90 minutes. I think it's a great deal for larger groups. We were a total of 9 people so it worked out very well for us. Service was fast and they kept up with refilling the sides. Make reservations just incase but overall a great experience.

Marinated combination for two people.

This place is amazing. Service ! Food was huge portions and so fresh and tasty. The vibe is modern and customer-centric in every way. Would go back in a ‍

Ask the Community - Love Korean BBQ

I see answers about eating alone, but is it possible to order BBQ on your own?

Yes, you can.

The reservation widget on Yelp isn't on. When I call the restaurant, it goes straight to vm. How to reserve?

Not sure, but I went directly through their web site

Is this all you can eat?

Nope! It's regular dining with some sets to choose from

Do you cook your own meat, or does a server cook it for you?

The server does it for you.

Is this place kid friendly?

It's a bit loud and trendy but no reason children can't eat that I saw.

Hi, can I come alone to eat or you have to come in a group?

You are certainly allowed to eat solo. Group is not required to dine in but Korean bbq at a place like Love is better with a group or with someone. Price is the same for a la carte orders or bbq sets. And seating is still based upon availability.

Do you accept discover credit cards?

Yes we do!!

Do you accept Apple Pay here?

Yes!

I just made reservation online but I couldn't tell our seat is indoor or outdoor. Is there a way to figure it out?…

Hello I can help you out please give me your reservation info

Hi- your phone number keeps ringing and goes to voicemail, and your mailbox continues to be full so no one can contact you. I am trying to confirm a reservation ASAP for Thur 9 people. Please advise on what I am supposed to do?

Reservations can be made on their website for 8 or less. If you can't get through, and need a reservation soon, I would go elsewhere.

Hi, do you have another phone number? Been trying to contact for additional questions but your phone is still down for quite a while. The date today is 9/15/2021.

Hello I’m sorry we had technical issues with the phone for any questions please call now.

Hi, I've been trying to call to make a reservation for 9 people, are you open?

Hello please call again.

Do you have to have reservations?

Hello yes please call the store for more info.

Do you currently have a cocktail drinks menu set up yet? Looking to go on a date this weekend with my boyfriend and want to know.

Hello yes we do. You are more than welcome to visit our website and check on our menu. If you have more questions please give us a call.

Do they have desserts? Anything for someone celebrating a bday? Thanks

Nothing in house but I've seen them accommodate parties by purchasing from local bakeries.

Do they offer drinks?

Yes, they have a drink menu. I've only tried their frozen margarita and love frose but they do offer more drinks.

Do they offer heating for outdoor dining?

Yes

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

Manhattan, NY (Koreatown) - I love BCD and frequent the one in Fort Lee pretty regularly, but for…read moreyears have assiduously avoided this NYC location as it's always a madhouse every time I've come here for dinner with friends or co-workers, and because there are so many other great Korean options on this strip. But there's no denying that BCD has upped their soondubu game considerably in the last decade+ with a thicker, more deeply flavored broth, and now easily rivals my longtime favorite and gold standard, the OG So Kong Dong in Fort Lee. Then I stumbled into a hack that changed my view: lunch! I ducked in for a late lunch on a whim while walking by one day, and this turned out to be a much chiller hour, unhurried and no reservation needed. I was promptly seated, my order taken, and the banchan swiftly laid out. The banchan spread is solid across the board (the little fried fish does nothing for me, but seems to be a highlight for everyone else). I especially love the kimchi, near-perfect IMO, and the pickled cucumber. There's a modest lunch discount, which is a nice bonus for someone who likes to order aggressively. I usually get an oyster, seafood, or assorted soondubu (with a raw egg cracked in), danger spicy of course! Or go the C1 combo route with a galbi (marinated bbq beef short ribs) + smaller soondubu. It's an enormous amount of food, so I take most of the galbi home and feel no shame about it. The galbi, by the way, has also gotten noticeably better over the years - meatier, tender, and the flavor is on point. I've also enjoyed their bibimbap, bulgogi, jap chae, and seafood pancake. Finally, let's talk heat - this chili-head loooves fire! And BCD's danger level is one of the rare instances where the spice level actually meets my punishing tolerance for heat, not some pretense at "American spicy.," despite this being a chain. Their danger level actually means business and brings tears to my eyes, literally. It's still not my favorite place ambience wise, and dinner remains a contact sport I've mostly opted out of, as gone are the days that I can tolerate a culinary mosh pit, and any wait longer than 10 minutes (and only for a superlative place) will trigger an automatic ejection of my presence. But for lunch? Unexpectedly great. 4 stars for dinner, 5 for lunch.
