Excellent food and service! The Fish was fresh, I ordered grilled red snapper, my partner grilled shrimp both for entrees. To start Greek salad and grilled octopus. The service was excellent by Jeannie who provided us with great suggestions for our dining experience - and she was absolutely right about everything we ordered! What more can you ask for when dining out - excellent food, wine, service, and company! :) Thank you, Loukoumi for continuing to be such a wonderful staple in our Astoria community! Cheers, and until next time!

Nice ambiance and friendly service. They have a very extensive menu. They are very generous with their complimentary pita bread (warm and fluffy... very tasty) - be careful not to eat too much or else you'll get be too full before your meals comes. We were really hungry when we came so we ordered: - mixed dip appetizer (4 different dips) - fava dip - mixed seafood grilled (calamari, octopus, cuttlefish and shrimp) - mixed meat grilled (chicken, beef, sausages) We asked if we could substitute the mixed dip appetizer with fava and was declined so we got fava dip on the side. It was definitely too much food. We had half of the meal to take out for a second meal. Everything was tasty but nothing special. My favorite dip was actually the tzatziki - they had actual strips of sliced cucumbers. It was very refreshing and the texture was great. My favorite item out of the mixed seafood was the shrimp. My favored out of the mixed meat was the sausage. I really like all the sample platter options they have for indecisive people like me who just want to try everything.

Ate here today by myself for lunch during my day off from work as a paraprofessional on Diwali. I had brought ate the avgolemeno (Greek chicken soup), tzatziki dip, pork souvlaki, halloumi (pan fried and grilled cheese) and galaktoboureko (custard cream cake) plus orange Turkish delights that it had tasted really good and delicious. The service there was also attentive, friendly and amazing. The server name was Wilson and he served up my meals very nice, kind and pleasant. I couldn't agree more about it. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Came here for dinner - didn't make reservations. The octopus was so delicious - highly recommend. I'm glad we ordered the dip spread - plenty of fresh warm pita bread. The halumi and feta patty was ok.

We were looking for a good Greek meal and we were pleasantly surprised to have wonderful service and food. The hostess, owner and waitstaff were attentive to us. The restaurant was getting filled, our reservation was ready for us to arrive. We enjoyed the fresh melitzanosalta & Greek salad to begin, delicious entrees pictured. Highly recommend and would go when in the neighborhood again!

Went here for lunch with the family and it was great! I would definitely reccommend the seafood platter! The stuffed pepper was wonderful. We also had the mixed grilled meat which was ok. The service was on point! Everyone was wonderful

It is a neighborhood restaurant, but all the tables were occupied by 7:30pm on a Wednesday night. The restaurant felt warm and inviting. The food was fresh and delicious. Although there were only three servers on the floor, we felt that the service level was good.

Located in a quieter section of Astoria; you find this nice, cozy, almost hidden little establishment that has the feel of a family ran restaurant (I dunno if it is family ran). Everyone who helped us was super friendly, knew the menu inside out and made good recommendations when one was needed. I can't say for certain that all they serve is authentic or does it have a twist of fusion, but this is not your run of the mill gyro and souvlaki joint. The apps were all very good. I went completely out of the box by ordering "sweetbreads"; I felt it was very well prepared, but half way through the dish it got a bit monotone (not anyone's fault, guess I just need actual red meat). The lamb and rabbit stew were also very nice.

The after! Lol not a crumb left.. so yummy

Lamb chops were amazing, zucchini chips were also very good. Staff is friendly and attentive . Will be coming back!

On the expensive side but it's for a good reason. We were given free pita bread as an appetizer which is always a plus. My mom and I shared the grilled octopus which was amazing. I got the special of lamb stew which was a generous portion and was divine!

Chrissa was a joy to talk to. We came for a lunch and had melitzanosalata, saganaki, and chicken souvlaki platters, including a delicious salad. This reminded me of the beautiful taverna meals I had last summer in Greece-- including the music and atmosphere. We drove in from Coney Island and will be back.

Such a fantastic meal, everything was amazing. Great flavor and textures especially of the grilled seafood. Wonderful service, personable without being overbearing, made the experience even more enjoyable. Truly so many great Greek restaurants in the area, and this is certainly one of the very top. Great ambiance, great for a catch up or a date. Looking forward to returning.

We ordered the octopus and lamb chops. The octopus was incredibly tender, the meat was very soft - I personally would've preferred a little more bite to it, but it still tasted good. The lamb chops were flavorful. The medium here is on par with medium rare at most other places, and one of our pieces was borderline rare. At the end of the meal we were also offered complementary desert, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our meal overall, but just know that it's a little on the pricey. The octopus and lamb chops came out to $80~ pre-tax and tip. Would recommend if you're a fan of seafood!

We had a salad, with slices of fresh feta, Greek olives even dill, cut nice and chewable. Three of us shared appetizers. Forgot name in Greek but the American version the fried cheese was yummy, then a Branzino cooked to perfection, we had another dish looked like a lasagna with Bechamel' sauce baked 2" thick, that too was delicious, also even though I don't eat meat. An appetizer that was like mashed potatoes with garlic and a plate of lemon potatoes. Haven't had those cooked so well in years. The food just kept coming everything FRESH even the cream pastry with fresh cinnamon! I wish I remembered the names in Greek unfortunately I was too busy eating. - doggie bag was graciously given when we left. Definitely recommend and will be returning. George warmly welcomed us and even let us know that street parking would be free after 7:00 p.m.--a small but thoughtful gesture that set the tone right away. The restaurant had a lively, inviting energy, and throughout the meal, George delivered truly five-star service. He mentioned he's been there over 18 years, and it clearly shows in his effortless, seasoned, and genuinely attentive hospitality. Complimentary bread and water with a generous bowl of fresh lemons arrived immediately, a simple yet appreciated touch. We shared a medium Greek salad and grilled octopus--both outstanding, with the octopus especially tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We even took a few bites before remembering to snap a photo. The salad was served with olive oil and herb-infused vinegar on the side, allowing you to dress it exactly to your liking. For our mains, I ordered the grilled whole porgy, while my husband chose the shrimp spaghetti. The portion of fish was quite generous--I ended up taking most of it home, as I was already satisfied after the appetizers. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pasta, and after tasting a couple of his shrimp, I completely understood why--it was delicious. To finish, we were each treated to a complimentary piece of galaktoboureko, a thoughtful and fitting end to the meal. Warm hospitality, a vibrant atmosphere, and well-executed dishes made this a truly enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered the mix grill platter and the youvetsi orzo pasta, which was the perfect amount of food for 5 people. For the mix grill platter - the sirloin was perfectly seasoned, the beef patties were crumbly and flavorful, and the loukaniko was deliciously charred. However, the chicken skewers were a bit dry and the lamb chops were not as tender as I had expected. Their tzatziki is very mild and bland and their pita bread was on the thinner and harder side. The orzo dish was just okay. The pasta itself was cooked well, but I found the taste to be almost watered down; the beef chunks were also dry and failed to soak up any of the flavor from the tomato sauce. All said, I still really enjoyed my experience. I'd love to go back and try the seafood platter.
