We were in Astoria and found Zorba's after a failed attend to try the Souvlaki lady. The food was great, the place was clean, and the service was very kind. We had a large group and they were able to accommodate us. Favorites around the table were the gyro deluxe, Greek salad, and the soup of the day!

Ordered delivery and it came quickly. Tried the horiatiki salad and chicken gyro; both were good but nothing special. I did think the tzatziki was way too garlicky. I'd say this was by no means bad, but there are better options for gyro around.

So this place was very cute and had a really good breakfast vibe, I ordered the Hungry Man Omelette and it came with Toast, Hash Browns and a Ham, Cheese, Onion Omelette. The Omelette is VERY delicious, the taste of the cheese in the onelette was perfect, I love alot of cheese in my omelette and they know how to out cheese inside and the Egg was cooked really good. The hash Browns were ok, the potatoes are really good but the Green Pepper was a little too much pepper-y for me but everything was good.

Great for a quick bite and good food. I would highly recommend sitting in their backyard patio if weather permits.

Beef Souvlaki with Lemon Potatoes and Chicken Souvlaki with Lemon Potatoes

This is a great spot for some great Greek food when you're in Astoria. We went to another recommended spot with a 2 hour wait and came across Zorba's Souvlaki Plus. Gotta say best decision ever. The Chicken Souvlaki and Lemon Potatoes were phenomenal and quickly became a favorite. We became regulars during our short visit and the food didn't disappoint. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I haven't found anything as good here in Houston.

Greek dining casual style Zorbas is a Greek dining casual-style eatery. Being right next to Stamatis means that their culinary focus is more casual, with Greek salads, gyros, and souvlaki. They are also less expensive. We enjoyed the outdoor dining on the sidewalk and the quick service. We ordered a Greek Salads, souvlaki of course, and Greek soda. Will we be back, yes! This is the perfect spot if you are looking for a less busy casual eatery!

Kid friendly and just absolutely yummy. Authentic Greek food with a homey atmosphere. We absolutely loved the feta!

Was here several months ago with a group of 12 as this place does separate checks for everyone which was nice for such a big group. We sat in the large outside area. The menu is a mix of Greek and general American diner food and the prices are overall pretty reasonable. I had a Loux to drink (sour cherry) and the Plaka Panini as my meal. This consisted of gyro, cooked onions & peppers, and mozzarella, with French fries & tzatziki sauce and it was $9 or $12 as a deluxe option. Said option came with French fries on the side along with coleslaw and a pickle. The sandwich was pretty good. The bread could have been a bit fresher but the gyro meat was pretty tasty and the mix of veggies and cheese made it satisfying while the fries inside were of course quite soft. The deluxe wasn't worth it with the fries being bit thick so they weren't that crispy (i.e. not good all around) and the coleslaw and pickles were throwaways. I probably should have just gotten a small thing of lemon potatoes or their spanakopita/spinach pie or something instead. Other people thought their food was fine also. For the prices, the food is worth it but there are tastier options in the area.

This place makes really great pork gyro and fries! It's always what I get when I come here. The pork is well prepared and nicely marinated. It comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and their white sauce. The fries are nice and crispy and not oily! They definitely compliment each other, but this time around i went a lil healthier with a grilled chicken salad! Friendly staffs and great service. The food never disappoints. Excellent Greek gyros. Simple, perfectly cooked, and spiced. Moist and slightly charred at the edges, giving the meat a variable texture. Simple and good Greek food...a frequent option for me! Huge portions. Authentic Greek dining. DELICIOUS. Excellent family dinning experience. The service is very friendly. Astoria has lots of great Greek eateries but this place tastes great and is affordable. Highly recommend.

If we wanted to get a table in the main dining room, the wait was estimated to be over 2 hours (we went around 8pm), so I highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to go. The staff were very quick with service and very friendly. We were offered toasty bread with some lemon and an olive spread while we waited for our food (which also came out super quick!). We ordered the octopus and lamb chops. The octopus was incredibly tender, the meat was very soft - I personally would've preferred a little more bite to it, but it still tasted good. The lamb chops were flavorful. The medium here is on par with medium rare at most other places, and one of our pieces was borderline rare. At the end of the meal we were also offered complementary desert, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our meal overall, but just know that it's a little on the pricey. The octopus and lamb chops came out to $80~ pre-tax and tip. Would recommend if you're a fan of seafood!

We had a salad, with slices of fresh feta, Greek olives even dill, cut nice and chewable. Three of us shared appetizers. Forgot name in Greek but the American version the fried cheese was yummy, then a Branzino cooked to perfection, we had another dish looked like a lasagna with Bechamel' sauce baked 2" thick, that too was delicious, also even though I don't eat meat. An appetizer that was like mashed potatoes with garlic and a plate of lemon potatoes. Haven't had those cooked so well in years. The food just kept coming everything FRESH even the cream pastry with fresh cinnamon! I wish I remembered the names in Greek unfortunately I was too busy eating. - doggie bag was graciously given when we left. Definitely recommend and will be returning. As we were leaving the line out the door. Some very good Greek food more authentic than many in Manhattan. Real deal here.

George warmly welcomed us and even let us know that street parking would be free after 7:00 p.m.--a small but thoughtful gesture that set the tone right away. The restaurant had a lively, inviting energy, and throughout the meal, George delivered truly five-star service. He mentioned he's been there over 18 years, and it clearly shows in his effortless, seasoned, and genuinely attentive hospitality. Complimentary bread and water with a generous bowl of fresh lemons arrived immediately, a simple yet appreciated touch. We shared a medium Greek salad and grilled octopus--both outstanding, with the octopus especially tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We even took a few bites before remembering to snap a photo. The salad was served with olive oil and herb-infused vinegar on the side, allowing you to dress it exactly to your liking. For our mains, I ordered the grilled whole porgy, while my husband chose the shrimp spaghetti. The portion of fish was quite generous--I ended up taking most of it home, as I was already satisfied after the appetizers. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pasta, and after tasting a couple of his shrimp, I completely understood why--it was delicious. To finish, we were each treated to a complimentary piece of galaktoboureko, a thoughtful and fitting end to the meal. Warm hospitality, a vibrant atmosphere, and well-executed dishes made this a truly enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back.

I recommend booking a RVSP for their indoor garden area if possible as that portion of the restaurant is stunning (pic included). Everything was great. While I thought that their fried calamari and spinach pie was pretty standard, I truly enjoyed their safritos and dakos salad. Their safritos beef shoulder was so tender and you had the option to eat it with beans, lemon potatoes, or fries. We chose their lemon potatoes and thought that it paired so well. I thought the food was delicious overall, but there were some items that were meh. But the (free) bread was sooooo good - it was super fluffy and I couldn't stop reaching for it. We ordered the mix grill platter and the youvetsi orzo pasta, which was the perfect amount of food for 5 people. For the mix grill platter - the sirloin was perfectly seasoned, the beef patties were crumbly and flavorful, and the loukaniko was deliciously charred. However, the chicken skewers were a bit dry and the lamb chops were not as tender as I had expected. Their tzatziki is very mild and bland and their pita bread was on the thinner and harder side. The orzo dish was just okay. The pasta itself was cooked well, but I found the taste to be almost watered down; the beef chunks were also dry and failed to soak up any of the flavor from the tomato sauce. All said, I still really enjoyed my experience. I'd love to go back and try the seafood platter.
