The cashier Diana was very welcoming- she was very kind and accommodating as she was trying to make sure if we had leftovers we would have a bag readily available to go. She seems very passionate about what she does and about the food here. We ordered: - Doner Haus sandwich: it comes with onion, lettuce, tomato, cabbage, and mayo. We opted out and of the onion and lettuce. This was a decent sandwich! Very flavorful and I loooove the bread with it. The only thing I will say is the chicken could be more moist. Maybe we got too much of the edge pieces though. Not sure. And it's a pretty big sandwich too- my husband and I shared one. Overall a decent experience! read more

I was in the area and wanted something to satisfy a craving. Döner Haus had been on my list for a while to go try out. You can either order at the place or online on the website. I placed my order on the app for a munch box which gives you a mini döner wrap with a small side of fries. Order pick up was quick and easy. The wrap was very tasty. I opted for zabiha halal chicken as the protein, but you also have the option of beef or a mix of the two. It came wrapped with veggies and a creamy sauce. The fries were seasoned well, but not as crisp as I would have liked it. I'm not sure if it's just like that on the norm or the got soggy in transport to home. Overall I enjoyed the meal. Döner Haus was good but it wasn't great. Yes it is reasonably priced & the sandwich had more than enough meat + the works in it. However, the sandwich bread itself was quite dry as well as the meat inside of it (at least the chicken shawarma was). The sauces are great though & do help with the fact that it is quite dry albeit it shouldn't be, kebabs should be juicy not dry IMHO. All in all, maybe it was an off day but my meal was average at best. read more

Not only was the rice hard, the fries were also soggy. My friend also saw that I ordered from the Doner Haus and asked about my opinion, and I told him that I personally did not enjoy my meal. He said he also ordered from this location and agreed with my statement. I would skip the Doner Haus and go to a halal food truck instead. Big döner fans! Wanted to try this place since the grand opening but the line was way too long that day & we came while there were some arguments? I get the food was free but don't kill over döner? lol so we decided to go another day! We ordered pick-up & by the time we got to the store, it was ready. Hangry is an understatement so we ate in the car but WARNING - it was so greasy and oily that it almost spilled throughout the whole container. Not sure if it was from the meat or the salad? We got dressing on the side so it couldn't be that... There was a great amount of meat and the flavor was good - but this is definitely a cheat meal. I really want to like this place because of the portions and taste because it's so protein-packed but it's so greasy, oily and makes me feel a bit sick EVERY TIME. I took off the salad this time and it was still soaked. You can't really enjoy the bread because it gets soggy :( if it wasn't for this, it'd be a straight 5 stars but it's consistently this way every time I order. 5 stars for Grand opening and providing free Doner sandwich to introduce this restaurant and food to the community. 3 stars for the taste of the Doner mix of chicken and beef sandwich. It was a big portion sandwich.The meat was dry and salty and the bread was hard and not soft. Since I have never had a Doner sandwich before, I am not sure if this is what it was supposed to taste like. The meat and veggies were not layered evenly too. The meat was on top and the veggies were separated at the bottom of the sandwich. When finishing the sandwich , it was pretty much a salad sandwich. Ate here today by myself after work as a substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 234 Q for lunch and dinner. I had brought and ate the recommended meal which was both the doner sandwich with mixed meats (both chicken and beef) and haus fries with a can of orange soda that it tasted dope and I wish that they could've gave me more sauce but I decided not to pay for it extra and I'd gotten really full afterwards. I came to Doner Haus the night it opened and we're doing a free promo. Even though the place was packed and the back of house were diligently working on orders, my mixed sandwich still came out in great quality. There were plentiful of mixed beef and chicken and sliced veggies. The pressed wrap was very crispy and crunchy, holding everything together. And the fries gave a really nice Cajun kick to it all. I work nearby and stop here once a week to grab their chicken gyro's. The meat is very fresh along with the veggies.

My husband and I recently got take out from Döner Haus, and it truly exceeded our expectations. He's originally from Switzerland and has eaten döner for most of his life, so he has strong opinion about it. He agreed that the version from Döner Haus was extremely flavorful and tender, and I appreciated that it wasn't oily like versions I've had in the past. Their white garlic dill sauce is amazing, as is their bread. The portions are also enormous. One sandwich is easily two meals. I'll definitely check this place out in person soon, as I can only imagine how much better it is when it's eaten right away. read more

It is incredible, but when this place first opened, there were lines and lines of people around the block for their free giveaways. Once all this died down, not many stopped by again. Like the German Kabob House that opened on Steinway Street, there were a lot of hoopla marriage proposals and so much silly stuff it is hard to believe. And for what? Like GKH, this Doner Kabab hose is getting away by selling very mediocre cuts of meat. You are much better off going to an authentic Turkish or Middle Eastern restaurant. I showed a photo of the Donar Hause special, which is just a mush of sliced meat mixed with other stuff, such as fries. The only pluses for this place are a friendly employee and a clean spot. I'm giving this place a 3 star not because of the food but because of the service. The food here taste really good no complain and they give you big portion. However, for all the times I've been here, the service has been very slow. The cashier who supposed to hand the food to the customer just never pays attention. The food is ready but would still go in back to make more orders instead of handing the already ready food to the customer making the customer wait longer. Not everyone has time to wait as some of us are on lunch breaks from work. I actually had to tell the guy to hand me my order before making a new order. There should be a better communication from the person preparing the food to the cashier. The food preparer should just yell "order is ready for....." and not that bell that no one can hear. read more
