Decided to eat here on a Sunday night -- sat outside since the weather was pleasant. Our server suggested drinks and we ordered off the menu and one special fried pork knuckles. Service was good, food was good... what more can you ask for.

What in the name of giant pretzels did I just eat? Having never really explored German cuisine, I was not prepared for the size of what showed up on my plate, but the best part, it was great and accompanied by a side of goose liver pàte which I was delighted to find , I actually loved. The atmosphere was super cool, but the best part of the excursion: challenging my partner to drink an entire boot of beer. Yes you heard that right, practically a life size 64 oz glass of beer. The Germans definitely "go big or go home".

Was invited to a family gathering here. We were seated in a separate area, though not very private, and was tight bec not enough space for the number of people reserved for. Found the meat dry in the schnitzels and pork chop dishes. Didn't really like the pork chop flavor. Apps and sides were just ok.

A Clean, Well-Lighted Place. Stopped in for some holiday libations with some old friends. Bar tender was efficient and friendly. Drinks were on point. Alas, I did not try any food as by the time I inquired as to placing an order, the kitchen had closed for the evening. Next time.

Its always a fun time at Manor Oktoberfest - The food is flavorful & the drinks are always flowing with a large list of beers on tap. I love sitting outside so the front courtyard is a great place to be on a sunny day. The wait staff is very nice & management is very accommodating to large parties.

This is a local go to spot for our family, especially after our nephew's baseball game. Always solid portions and the kind of beer that brings us back to Munich. Nice outdoor area and shout out to Carrie who was so very fun to chat with and was an attentive server. During the day it feels calmer but can only imagine it gets rambunctious, like any other beer hall. The outdoor spot is much appreciated by pawrents.

I came here with friends in the neighborhood for a school fundraiser. It was super crowded and busy, and service was a bit slow, but they were on top of things. I ordered the beef sausage with the vinegar- based coleslaw. The meal was delicious and was filling, though I did not feel heavy after eating. Overall, it was a great experience!

Pros: authentic German cuisine. Food is very good and quite authentic. Beer is great. As well Come: very pricey. An entree will run you $25+ They have another outpost in queens which is a bit smaller. We frequent this establishment once every 6-7 months. As specialty food prices have risen, so have menu prices.

The 5 of us came for Sunday lunch, and there were plenty of tables available. Generally, the food was very good and the portions were large, so we got 4 entrees and an appetizer and it was still too much for us. Bone-in pork chop: surprisingly, this was the winner for most of us in the group. It was so juicy and moist with lots of flavor without being overly salty. I'd get this again. Pretzel with Chicken Liver Pate: The pretzel overall was soft, although the top braid was a little too tough. The pate though was amazing - fresh, airy, and flavorful and went very well with the pretzel. The pate is tied with the pork chop for my top choices. Sauerbraten: This beef indeed does have a sweet/sour sauce which was good, and a nice contrast to the other dishes. The portion is a little bit smaller compared to the other dishes. 2 Wurst combo: We got the Mozart and the Kraimer wurst - both were good, and the Kraimer had a little spice kit that made it nice. Because they knew we were going to share, the chef cut up the sausages for us, which was nice. The jaegersnitzel was the most disappointing. It was not crispy, and the meat was too thick to be tender for a snitzel. The mushroom sauce was fine, and we did ask for it on the side, but even still. Each dish came with its own sides. In general, I liked the pickled cabbage (on the sweeter side), the sauerkraut, and enjoyed the spaktle more than I usually have in the past (a little more firm than the ones I've had) but wouldn't necessarily order the spaktle separately. We also got some beer - I got the seasonal Hofbrau seasonal tap, which I can't begin to pronounce, but I enjoyed it very much (don't like beer generally, but a sucker for smooth German beers). The schofferhoffer was good too, but the radler was a bit too much like juice and not refreshing/fizzy enough in my opinion.

I have never physically dined at Manor Oktoberfest but do order delivery quite a few times a month. While I typically like to try new dishes, I seriously love the potato pancakes with apples sauce and kielbasa with sour kraut. I always choose to omit the bun, but I guarantee it would be super tasty enjoyed that way too. I have ordered the pierogi before as well, but I prefer the potato pancakes. If you like German sausage and good food, you'll enjoy Manor Oktoberfest!! Oh, and don't forget to order of bowl of their goulash soup-it's so divine with tender pieces of meat that melt in your mouth.

We walk by this restaurant almost every week for years. Like a previous poster wrote, never had much interest in German food and the restaurant and space inside didn't look welcoming. We decided to try it due to their pretty outdoor dining spot since it's well decorated, great ambience and comfortable. This place surpassed our expectations. Ordered our beers quickly and several dishes to try. I tried the Schofferhofer grapefruit beer and it was good. I'm always a fan of citrus-flavored beer. It's a very light beer so no worries about it being too heavy to enjoy your meal. Potato pancakes - I'm trying hard to avoid fried foods lately but can't help the need to try it. It's really good, fried nicely and good amount of potato. Seasoned well, not too salty. I tried it with the applesauce that came with it as a dip but I love my applesauce as is so I ate it separately. Hot wings - essentially buffalo wings. Good, standard wings. Came with one piece of celery and dip. Kids schnitzel - Saw the regular portion was giant so ordered kids version for my kids and it came with a choice of a side. We picked mac and cheese and that was devoured by the kids. Very good. Schnitzel was superb. Light breading, quick fry with just enough crunch, tender pork. Crab cakes - pretty good for a non-seafood spot. Very nice! Two Kassler Rippchen - two pork chops with sauerkraut and homefries. Wow, the way they cooked this pork chop is top-notched. I can't remember the last time I had such a tender, well-seasoned, flavorful pork chop in a restaurant. Really good. Great flavor combination with the sauerkraut. Kid-friendly spot, food came out fast, and got to enjoy the atmosphere of a lovely neighborhood. Went to the 99 cent store right after which is right next door. Convenient location. Looking forward to trying other dishes next time.

First time here. You need to make reservations which we didn't but we're lucky enough to get a bar table where you can still Order food. I could have gone down the list off appetizers and that's what we kind of did Pretzel - delicious Potato pancakes - perfectly crispy and amazing Perogies- eh. They were just potato. Next time I'll try the mushroom Sauerbraten egg rolls - my favorite. Great taste. Knockwurst- super crunch and a little burnt but that's what made it incredible. Serves on a roll with sauerkraut. Corned beef sandwich - very good. Served with carmelized onions German potato salad - served cold but I asked for it to be heated and was much better. Good service Parking not too bad in the neighborhood

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

Roza came to us and asked if we liked it and told us it was her recipe. No sugar ,No soda .It was tasty, thick full of fruit and definitely had liquor because I left with a buzz She also brought out the rosè for us to try pretty good too very refreshing will definitely do that one in warmer weather. My youngest daughter got from the kids menu grilled cheese with fruit she enjoyed it so much we had to order another. Both girls for the marshmallow milkshake they LOVED it! For appetizers we got calamari good but could've used a little more breading. Also got chips with guacamole and honestly for a diner it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Roza knew she had a bday past since we conversed for a bit and suggested we can sing her happy bday and asked what she liked I told her chocolate cake. They asked for the correct spelling of her name which I thought was sweet. Anyway the staff came out and sang with us super cool. Even the bathrooms are really clean. It was a great experience will definitely come back.I must be honest it's a hit pricey. The price for the pancakes with eggs was $23 when we saw the bill I was a little surprised. Kids' meals are $13 and I thought we were getting the cake (free, lol) since I technically didn't suggest it. It was $12 for a slice. But overall it was a pleasure she even gave us a sample of vodka with lemon and ginger which was actually good and helps settle the stomach.

While that may rank as a relatively mid-tier title by NYC standards, as the neighborhood restaurant average is sadly and shockingly low, especially considering its location in the literally center Queens, this is nonetheless a very special neighborhood treasure, befitting it's stalwart status at now over 30 years of age. Classic Italian American with some New American flourishes, the place stays consistent and honors its tradition while simultaneously managing to keep things fresh and staying up with the times. The pizzas are well-executed and make great use of the gorgeous wood burning oven, but for me it's almost impossible to order anything else but my go-to order, one of the house specialties the classic Cavatelli with broccoli raab and some particularly pungent hot Italian sausage. A modern day classic in the cannon, finding decent versions around the city is tougher than one might imagine, particularly in my experiences in this borough. The version here, served like the rest of the offerings in an extremely generous portion that usually yields some delicious leftovers to take home, is a strong contender for the best in the borough title. Also of particular note is the exemplary super-thin and savory chicken parm, served in the previous era in various forms including with spaghetti and broccoli, as well as with risotto, currently served smothered with a spicy vodka sauce and paired with rigatoni. I've only recently became aquatinted with the rich and unctuous dry-aged burger, served simply and unadorned save for American and sharp raw union, on a classic and proper sesame seed bun, it's a stealth under-the radar competitor for the best burger in the hood nod with previous title-holder Dirty-Pierres. The expansive, two-room space, an ideal setting for the many private events and family gatherings that regularly occur here is aptly bright and inviting with the aforementioned pizza oven serving as its centerpiece. I generally sit at the bar which offers ample opportunity to converse with the top-notch staff, just as genial and affable as you would hope to find in such a longtime neighborhood institution, as well as the fellow patrons, who are, more often then not, you guessed it, longtime local resident regulars.
