While this stand has indoor seating, it's recommended that you sit at their outdoor tables or standing bar on a sunny day out. The music feels so out of place. Too Gramercy if you ask me. For this kind of restaurant I figure you have to go all in or none at all. This is not an Italian restaurant. Everything about the decor and interior layout is a misrepresentation of how this restaurant should be. After awhile it got annoying (the lighting gave me a headache), and left me a little frustrated when the food came out. Second, is the food intended to be shared or not? I feel like no for the entrees, but yes for the appetizers. It all felt disjointed. I also felt jilted by the fact the potato pancakes only came with either applesauce OR sour cream. I should not have to choose. Give. Me. Both. Maybe if I had both I would have been able to eat more than just one. You are also given free bread upon arrival, but the bread tastes stale and dry. It offers nothing to the experience. Okay, now about the rest of the food (in more detail). The German Apple crepe is okay, but perhaps years of eating German Apple pancakes at The Original Pancake House changed how I feel about them. This tasted skimpy and dry, feeling a bit European to a fault. The crepe was fine, but the apple filling needs more sweetness to really make it feel like a treat. The schnitzel is the true star. I could hear the cooks hammering out the veal to flatten out the meat. That is how you do it. It tasted fresh and the mushroom sauce is the true hero of this entree. It also comes with spaetzle (German pasta) and green beans, both of which are cooked perfectly and work well to complement the veal. As someone who ate many Schnitzel in Switzerland (and has plans to visit Germany later this year), this works. They also offer Wurst (but I hope only the best kind), but I need a break from sausage. Getting the schnitzel is the preferred weapon of choice. Unfortunately the high prices and disjointed ambiance will not have me back here.

In July, I booked my appointment and the earliest they had was August 31 but i checked back every single day and was able to change it to August 15th and then again I kept checking, and finally I saw an opening for August 3. For people who found that appointments are 2 months out, I would recommend checking the reservations portal every day for earlier dates. Second, the documents you need for a resident visa are not really outlined on the website but you will need the following if your situation is for a job offer: -2 copies of resident visa applications filled out (not sure where you download this form since my company gave it to me) -2 biometric passport pictures 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm with white background -2 copies of your passport only of the data page, and passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have at least 3 empty pages -2 signed form §54 residence law (i got this form at the embassy) -2 copies of medical health insurance that covers Germany (i got health insurance through my new company but there are many rules surrounding health insurance that you should research) -original college diploma (i had photo copies but then eventually had to bring in my original college diploma) -2 copies of enrollment and degree verification from my university -2 copies of ANABIN degree verification -2 copies of ANABIN university verification -2 copies of signed job offer from my company and me -2 copies of CV I submitted my application on August 3rd and was approved in 4 business days. I went back to the embassy with my passport and original diploma, then they returned my passport to me in 30 minutes with the temporary visa inside of it.
