Good service and food in a German ale house environment. Brat and pretzel done right.. spätzle was fried and not good.

We loved bierhaus NYC!! We stumbled upon it when i was trying to take my fiancee out to a different German beer hall. We were not disappointed! It was fun drinking beer out of the huge boots and watching people do simultaneous shots on a ski! The German rock and roll band was great!! All in all a successful day drinking experience and absolutely will return!!

I really enjoyed this spot. Great beers, friendly staff and cool environment. There was a live band when we came on a Saturday night. We also came the night before and all the TVs had sports playing which were great. The staff was really friendly and always checked up on us. Highly recommend.

I love Bierhaus NYC! We've visited here twice, both times after touring the UN. It's a great place to get a meal or a snack with a good beer as you chat about past, present, and future domestic and foreign policy. My favorite meals on the menu are the schnitzels. The jägerschnitzel was huge, a great entree to share, and came with potato salad, cucumber salad, and warm red cabbage salad. We paired it with our favorite beers and were not disappointed. The beer hall is perfect for groups, large and small. There are also TVs available to watch the key games of the day. I definitely recommend Bierhaus if you're looking for a fun vibe that also fills the soul.

$24 for two beers on a rainy Saturday. The beer was nothing to write home about and the service was incredibly lackluster. Even though we were one of seven people, it took ages to order and then even longer to get our bill. We had planned to order multiple beers but unfortunately didn't have time given the delayed service and attention. The place is cool inside and incredibly spacious. I think if it was better staffed I'd probably have a better opinion of the spot buuut I've been to many beer halls and this one is one I would skip if you're not just there to take photos!

It's the Oktoberfest vibe all year! So much fun for group happy hours with friends or coworkers! Pro Tip! If you come for the beer, don't miss out on the two liter boot!

I got takeout but the atmosphere and customer service were great while inside. I would just comeback for the vibes. The food was alright, the currywurst had a small bratwurst with a lot of fries. Better portioning of fries to bratwurst would've been better. I was glad the sauces came separately, the curry sauce gave sweet butter chicken. The pretzel and cheese sauces were great, but would've liked more salt on the pretzel. I would recommend the smaller pretzel, since the big one was super filling!

I had.fantastic Beer pretzel with mustard and cheese sauce, not combined, and a Bock beer. The pretzel was perfect and the beer was outstanding. Perfect head and hefty mug. It was very loud to the point where the music and the ambient noise makes it almost impossible to have a conversation. We sat in middle to try and get away from the speakers, but that didn't help. Service was very friendly and prompt. I want to come back and try the schnitzel. Remember to tip well.

Food was great! Def a good place to come and eat good food, have some beer and watch some sports!

We really enjoyed this spacious Bavarian beer hall with the German beer and food to go with it. We loved the cold original Hofbraus, my favorite German beer. Kasekrainer with sauerkraut and potato salad was fantastic, as was the curry wurst and the side of cumber salad. Yummy. Our server was quick and friendly and did a tremendous job. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. In addition to the large tables and benches throughout, there is a small enclosed balcony that offers seating and some smaller tables throughout the restaurant. It can get quite loud, but we enjoyed the 80s playlist and the chatter of people enjoying themselves. There is a flight of stairs to enter that looks more intimidating than it is, so be aware. Restrooms were clean and orderly. We will be back and would recommend.

Had a great time here with friends. Drinks were larger than I thought, food portions were larger than I thought. Servers were all super friendly and prompt.

This German beer hall can get very crowded especially on big holidays where people go out and drink (oktoberfests, and such) It is a cool spot up a flight of stairs. The bar area is alright nothing special. They really only sell one kind of beer and light versions of it too. They have other tables and chairs in this beer hall and some out door tables on their terrace area. Which I think is smallish.

Hey guys! I want to bring a group of friends here for my boyfriends birthday. I keep seeing reviews about the food and great service but, I was wondering what the night life was like?

We're three young women in the service industry and still felt completely unwelcome--the hostess told us to find our own seating even though the sign said see hostess. The bartender was rude and uninterested, standing 5 min+ at the bar without even being acknowledged. Another staff member was dismissive when closing us out and rolled her eyes when asked to take cash. The overall vibe felt like we weren't wanted, even though it was only around 11 PM. The DJ was underwhelming and the bathroom was vile. The most pleasant part was the below average $20 drinks. For an expensive, well-known spot, this was a very poor experience. Couldn't pay me to return.

Warm lighting, good energy, and a chill crowd make it an easy place to hang whether you're starting your night or winding it down. One of the best parts is the menu. It's super affordable for NYC, but still delivers on quality. Everything feels simple, satisfying, and done right. We ordered the burger and fries, wings and fries, plus a margarita and a mojito. The burger was juicy and filling, the wings were flavorful, and the fries were hot and crispy. The drinks were solid, refreshing, and exactly what you want at a spot like this. Location-wise, it's perfect. The Grizzly Pear is close to so many things, making it a great stop before or after exploring the neighborhood, catching up with friends, or heading to another spot nearby. They had outdoor seating along 9th ave and 51st street. We sat inside at a hightop , along their big open windows of 9th; great in between of inside and outside. Plenty of options for a big or small group, or solo! Our server was McKenna, who was incredibly attentive, we never felt like we were waiting or had to wave anyone down. The food came quickly, and was great. Nothing that changed our lives, but hot, quick, and delicious. I can see this becoming a regular spot for when we can't decide on where to go and just want somewhere dependable and consistent. Inside is like a typical Irish pub: long bar, wood everywhere, comfy high tops and booth seating along the wall. Keep in mind that it is a sports bar with TVs everywhere, so they will be playing the major sport of the season. The volume isn't too loud though, enough to hear, but don't need to cover your ears. The bottomless option on the weekend is great, 2-3 drinks and you get your money's worth. The bloody's are good quality, with a good bite of Tabasco and horseradish (I prefer that!) and the mimosas are bubbly forward (they're not skimping you with mostly OJ). The food prices for brunch aren't crazy either. Selection is a bit limited, but seeing as this is a pub/tavern, I think they have a pretty good mix. Overall, would absolutely recommend. If you have a big group, have some common sense and book a reservation, but likely able to do walk-ins for small groups, couples, or singles easily. This is a great option for laid back vibes in HK.
