Came here for a Knicks game and really enjoyed the nachos and wings they had! The nachos had a lot of toppings on them, which is much appreciated as lots of sports bars will skimp on toppings. Taking off a star because I had a weird experience with the people at the front. I'm currently recovering from an injury and I'm in a pretty obvious neck brace. I was visiting with two people who were on their way and would be arriving in about 10-15 minutes and the people at the front told me I couldn't be seated until they arrived. I understand that this is normal protocol, but I pointed out my neck brace and asked if an exception could be made because it's significantly more comfortable for me to sit down (and there was no room at the bar). They said that their manager wouldn't let them do that, and that they couldn't seat me until the rest of my party was there. There were tons of table tables available the entire time and when my friend arrived about 12 minutes later, they seated us, I totally could've sat the whole time and it wouldn't have been a problem. Not the end of the world and I probably could've pushed it harder, but it definitely was a little awkward! read more

Came Saturday morning at 1130 am and made a reservation but it probably wasn't needed. It's a bar restaurant so it's super casual. 4 of us shared the potato croquets and French toast bites appetizers. Everyone liked their meals and thought the portions were good! I had the fried egg burger, my sister had chicken and waffles which was little chicken bites and little waffle circles. It made it so easy to eat and was the ideal way to eat chicken and waffles. We also had the bbq skillet and my husband had chicken sandwich. Would definitely come here again for a quick brunch bite to eat before a Show! read more

Had a blast at the three monkeys. First off, the location is on 50th & 8th Ave. THEATER DISTRICT Right out of the tunnel. My wife found an all New England Patriots bar. Granted the city parking congestion price by governor corrupt wasnt up for all those charges. However I did it. Luckily found a parking spot near the door. The place has two floors decent sized bar some tables. The bartender was good which always helps and the food was ok. I enjoyed my time there and will reopen my return read more

This was a convenient and lovely pit stop for a pre-theater apps and drink. We were in and out quickly, they had so many choices and a great beer list, and the calamari was crispy. We were in and out in plenty of time for the show. Thanks again! read more

Stopped here after watching The Book of Mormon. We were seated immediately and attended to quickly. The food was great. I wanted fish tacos but was informed that they made them grilled. Our waiter asked the chef to make them battered & made it happen. The vibes were on point. Phenomenal music & had multiple football games on for football Sunday. The only reason I can't give a 5 star review is because they didn't have honey mustard to my mozzarella sticks. read more

They have reopened the three monkeys in a much nicer space. The staff is still getting used to the menu and the space, but it's really quite pretty. The manhattan I ordered was not great, but the beer I got was excellent...it's like the Three Monkeys of old in that sense. The food is Three Monkeys bar food. The second story is great, and the third story would be great to rent out for a party! read more

Nice bar in great location - near theatre, main avenue. Food is decent and a full bar with plenty of beer selections. Enough TVs and seating to make for comfortable gathering with friends or watching sports. The service is horrible ... waited 10 minutes for bar tender to even come over to ask for order although bar had 4 people sitting there on a 10-15 seat bar. The receipt charges you for using a credit card (like places that ask you to pay employee healthcare or other silly charges) and then tries to suggest tips not on the bill, but all the fees. Just poor customer focus and too bad for a place with potential. read more

The Mac n cheese was perfect, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the decor was everything you ask for in a sports bar. Yelp may have made an oopsie because when I searched for a bar that plays Mets games, this place came up and unfortunately there was a Florida state football game that everyone was up in arms about, so I was not able to watch my metsies. Came here specifically for the sliders and they did not disappoint. We tried a mix of beef and pulled pork sliders both were juicy and flavorful. The craft beer list is impressive (I think they have over 30 taps) and the staff was happy to give recommendations. We sat on the second floor which has a cool vibe and plenty of screens. Great spot for a casual night out in Midtown. I will definitely be back to try the wings next time. read more

Made a reservation through OpenTable for a Sunday afternoon of NFL, accepted by Three Monkeys three months in advance. On the eve of the event, I get a cancelation notice from OpenTable. No call or contact from Three Monkeys. When I called them, they simply said they don't take weekend reservations and put the blame on OpenTable. The first person I spoke with didn't even apologize, despite this being an obvious inconvenience for me. The manager then did apologize but did zero to make things better. I once experienced a similar problem with an OpenTable reservation with Henhouse Brewing in California. Their response was an apologetic email and explanation at the time of the cancelation. They even threw in a small coupon. Bottom line, they were thoughtful and professional, unlike the management of Three Monkeys. read more

Clean and spacious, airy, great service, excellent beer selection and specialty spirit-free drinks! I brought a large group from work for drinks - I had stopped in earlier in the day to check it out and it's fresh and new and I was able to reserve space at the second floor bar. This will be our new go-to spot! Can't wait for them to open the second floor windows when the weather warms up. read more

First time coming here and it was great. The name of this place already caught my attention. New York City has some interesting bars, restaurants and this one also has a comedy bar upstairs with a cover of $10. Awesome food and drinks, waitress/bartender who was working at the downstairs bar with a Scottish/Irish accent was fantastic, made for an exciting atmosphere!! Located on 54th Street between 8th Avenue & Broadway, don't expect to find great parking if you drive from out of town, but that wasn't an issue for me and a bunch of my work colleagues, our hotel was conveniently located a few blocks away. No need reservations, just come by, but it does get crowded. This recent visit, me and my colleagues came by late afternoon into the early evening. It was a party of 7, we ordered tacos, French fries and a bunch of other gastropub style food along with adult beverages. I was satisfied and definitely coming back here again, which is why it gets 5 stars from me. It's all about the food, service, and the atmosphere. The food was amazing. I've never had nachos that weren't soggy and these were crispy and full of flavor. The fries were great but just need a little salt. The drinks were amazing as well. A little bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it in the end. Our waiters were great and explained how there was only one bartender and that things might take longer, but that wasn't even the case as everything came out fast. The atmosphere was great as well and it felt safe and welcoming. read more

This place was... interesting. The drinks are on the expensive side for what they are- even for New York. My tequila drink came in a skinny plastic thing and my sour was in a super mini snifter. The drink itself was super sweet- could've been a mocktail for all I know. Weird crowd, they had a live dj playing old Justin Bieber and other songs in that realm. Not my vibe read more

This is my second visit to the Three Monkeys. First visit was great I had the potato croquettes and they were fantastic. This time I opted for the salt and pepper chicken bites. OMG. Fantastic. The dipping sauce tastes like a cross between buttermilk ranch and pickle juice. Amazing. The drink are prices appropriate for the neighborhood. Claire is an absolute delight. The food can be great but without great service it falls flat. Claire is wonderfully fun and engaging. A big two thumbs up. read more

A really great hole-in-the-wall place. Came here with a friend and we both had a great time. It's unassuming from the outside but it's so nice inside. It even has 36 beers on tap! As a beer lover, this is music to my ears. Service is good. The check up constantly and they're friendly. We ordered the garlic parm fries and the garlic was a bit too over cooked, but it was fine. This is a great place to come watch a sports game or do a happy hour. Would definitely come back. read more

NE Patriots game watching is FANTASTIC at 3 Monkeys!!!! My BF and I live right in Boston and were NYC for a long weekend. Wanted to finish up a great few days by watching the NE Patriots game at a sports bar. Did my research before leaving Boston and was very happy to see that the 3 Monkeys website shows NE Patriots sports bar!! Stopped by on Friday afternoon to check the place out. The bartender recommended we arrive early on Sunday to ensure we'd get a seat upstairs. We listened and got there right about 1130 am for the NE Patriots at Bengals 1pm game. Glad we did that since the place did get packed. Was so great to watch the Patriots WIN that game amongst others who love Boston sports. Fans were not only wearing Patriots gear but Celtics Bruins and Red Sox attire was in attendance as well! Add the fact that there are 36 beers to choose from and really good food. BF had the wings and loved them. All in all a fabulous Boston sports bar on 54th in NYC! read more

Excellent place to go if heading to a show or just in midtown west. Ambiance is just right a pub - but it wasn't too dark or super noisy. We were there for lunch. The staff were attentive and super pleasant. The beverages were amazing. Great cocktails and the Three Monkey beer was spot on. On our last evening in NYC, I took the group on a pub crawl with started at Three Monkeys. As an Untappd Verified Venue with their own badge, I made a point to start here on a nice long walk around Hell's Kitchen. Their beer selection looked fantastic. On arrival, the doorman was collecting cover charges for a comedy show. But when I said we were just stopping in for drinks, he let us all in for free. We sat at the end of the bar; really cool vibe inside with high ceilings, lights, and a jovial crowd. I got a flight of four special beers and enjoyed them. Service was fantastic with attentive service and friendly attitudes. Prices were reasonable. We didn't stay long, but had a memorable visit. read more

We're three young women in the service industry and still felt completely unwelcome--the hostess told us to find our own seating even though the sign said see hostess. The bartender was rude and uninterested, standing 5 min+ at the bar without even being acknowledged. Another staff member was dismissive when closing us out and rolled her eyes when asked to take cash. The overall vibe felt like we weren't wanted, even though it was only around 11 PM. The DJ was underwhelming and the bathroom was vile. The most pleasant part was the below average $20 drinks. For an expensive, well-known spot, this was a very poor experience. Couldn't pay me to return.

The food prices for brunch aren't crazy either. Selection is a bit limited, but seeing as this is a pub/tavern, I think they have a pretty good mix. Overall, would absolutely recommend. If you have a big group, have some common sense and book a reservation, but likely able to do walk-ins for small groups, couples, or singles easily. This is a great option for laid back vibes in HK.
