Staff was kind and super dog friendly. The dog in our party was greeted with treats and water as soon as we sat down! Note, dogs are only permitted in the outside area of the restaurant (heated space). Food was average - all dog-themed or named. I had a hot chocolate with chicken and waffles with the side of bacon. Bacon was delicious, but the chicken and waffles meal was just OK. Syrup tasted like bottled syrup and I didn't really enjoy the combination of the meal with pickled onions and side of habanero jam. Unsure whether I would return here, with so many other dog-friendly options in NYC.

MANHATTAN/Hell's Kitchen: Barking Dog Hell's Kitchen is a must-visit dog-friendly restaurant inside a unique building, and it is all about the dogs. From the moment you step in, the space feels cozy, welcoming, and delightfully dog-themed. The menu features classic American comfort food with thoughtful options for everyone. We loved the Turkey Dog Burger and the Veggie Farm Dog Burger, made with a vegan Beyond patty. The drink menu deserves its own round of applause. If you love coconut, the Pawsome signature cocktail is an absolute must. Hands down one of the best drinks we have ever had. Also, there is a great pup menu and Brie devoured the chicken breast bowl with white rice and veggies. If you bring your dog any day between 4-10pm, you can get 50% off cocktails, margaritas, and frozen sangria. They are open daily from 8am-10pm, serving every meal from breakfast through dinner. Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome on the patio year-round. During the colder months, the patio is fully enclosed and heated, making it comfortable no matter the season. Be sure to check in with the host about additional seating options. The service is outstanding. It was a pleasure meeting Pamela, the manager, and Oni, our server. Both were incredibly attentive and clearly committed to creating the best experience for humans and pups alike. Helpful tips for dining with your dog can be found on their website: https://barkingdognyc.com/new-york-hells-kitchen-barking-dog-tips-for-doggie-dining Other locations include the Upper East Side and even North Carolina.

Quick stop in the city quick google search quick bite. Simple easy good. Great service. Great location. Very clean. Would have been perfect but was not a fan of the chicken wings. I think they were frozen which not a fan of otherwise everything else was on point!

My friends and I came here for an early dinner. We were seated upon arrival inside as it was raining outside. Food: I got a pear and avocado salad that I enjoyed. It came with plenty of both! I would order it again. Service: Service was a little slow as we were the first of the dinner service. Our server was friendly though. TL;DR - Good salad with decent service

Very dog friendly restaurant located on top of the New World Stages This street level restaurant has a large outdoor seating area and welcomes dogs. The indoor seating area is smaller. The cocktails are good. The food is acceptable, nothing was outstanding. This is a solid dining option if you are with your dog or seeing a show at a nearby theater. The service was attentive. There is a 3% service charge if you pay with a credit card.

We stopped by for a family brunch last Saturday, and the setting couldn't have been more perfect. The restaurant is tucked inside a charming pavilion with a fountain, and since the fall weather was ideal, we opted to sit outside. We had a reservation, but I noticed they were able to seat plenty of people without one too. For food, we ordered the spinach and feta omelette with a side of fruit, salmon avocado toast, and the Nashville fried cod with fries. Our meal was either a hit or a miss. The Nashville fried cod was absolutely delicious--crispy, light, and not overly spicy. The fresh fruit was truly fresh and flavorful. However, the misses were the spinach and feta omelette, which was under-seasoned and bland, and the salmon avocado toast, which my husband found equally underwhelming. While some dishes fell short, I lucked out with the fried cod and would definitely recommend it!

Honestly...WAY BETTER than I expected...it's the kind of food that you would eat even if you weren't in the mood for it. They have so many options on the menu that there is a choice for everyone! They even are dog friendly and have food for your dog (that's actually healthy for your pet) they also have vegetarian and vegan options for people! The service was great! Food came out at either a decent time or faster than expected or than usual orders are...the waiters and waitresses were quiet but I honestly think that worked well with the speed. The decorations were pleasant, very nice place, had plants and umbrellas on the outside and it looked like a tiki bar on the inside...it had a bunch of dog decorations. I would definitely recommend this to dog lovers and foodies!

Awesome place to chill out with friends, bring your dog, and enjoy good food and drinks. The staff is absolutely amazing: very courteous, diligent, and super welcomed our dog! The service is fast, not only not having to wait much for food/drinks, but them always staying on top to remind you of the different menu schedules when needed, this way you do not miss happy or yappy hour, brunch, etc. The drinks are spiked and yum! Will certainly be coming back soon!

An a-ok place to bring your pup. Very dog friendly outdoor patio seating, off the street and in a courtyard area between buildings. Plenty of room to spread out if your pup needs some space. My pup was provided with a nice bowl of cold water as soon as we sat down. There is a special menu for pups, served in dog bowls. They also have yappy hour specials certain days/times for you and your pup. As far as people food goes, this is an ok stop. Would I return without my dog, probably not, While nothing we had was bad, it wasn't amazing either. Especially considering the small portions for the prices. Service was also good but not great. If you're in the area with your dog and looking for a very dog friendly place of the busy sidewalks this is a great spot.

The food here was well done. We ordered a bowl of chicken lemon soup and the Barking Dog Breakfast. The chicken lemon soup was amazing with light and well balanced flavors and soft rice - it warmed my soul. I usually don't like breakfast potatoes, but let me tell you, they were really well done here - perfectly crisp. Nestled in a really nice quaint square, in Hells Kitchen - it's a nice place to grab a meal in a scenic spot. The servers were kind and attentive.

Barking Dog is a really cute spot! They have ample outdoor seating and were able to get my mom and I in as a walk up for dinner which is always nice. The food was good, I got a mediterranean salad with a side of fries and my mom got a turkey burger with cheese and avocado that she thought was pretty good. I got a featured prosecco drink with elderflower as well which was light and crisp, it matched the meal well! Services was fairly quick but not so much that you felt rushed to turn over a table quickly. I would love to come back to try their brunch sometime!

We're three young women in the service industry and still felt completely unwelcome--the hostess told us to find our own seating even though the sign said see hostess. The bartender was rude and uninterested, standing 5 min+ at the bar without even being acknowledged. Another staff member was dismissive when closing us out and rolled her eyes when asked to take cash. The overall vibe felt like we weren't wanted, even though it was only around 11 PM. The DJ was underwhelming and the bathroom was vile. The most pleasant part was the below average $20 drinks. For an expensive, well-known spot, this was a very poor experience. Couldn't pay me to return.

Warm lighting, good energy, and a chill crowd make it an easy place to hang whether you're starting your night or winding it down. One of the best parts is the menu. It's super affordable for NYC, but still delivers on quality. Everything feels simple, satisfying, and done right. We ordered the burger and fries, wings and fries, plus a margarita and a mojito. The burger was juicy and filling, the wings were flavorful, and the fries were hot and crispy. The drinks were solid, refreshing, and exactly what you want at a spot like this. Location-wise, it's perfect. The Grizzly Pear is close to so many things, making it a great stop before or after exploring the neighborhood, catching up with friends, or heading to another spot nearby. The service really stood out too. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing, which added to the relaxed vibe of the place. Overall, The Grizzly Pear is a great go-to if you want good food, decent drinks, a cool atmosphere, and fair prices all in one spot. Definitely a place I'd come back to again.

They had outdoor seating along 9th ave and 51st street. We sat inside at a hightop , along their big open windows of 9th; great in between of inside and outside. Plenty of options for a big or small group, or solo! Our server was McKenna, who was incredibly attentive, we never felt like we were waiting or had to wave anyone down. The food came quickly, and was great. Nothing that changed our lives, but hot, quick, and delicious. I can see this becoming a regular spot for when we can't decide on where to go and just want somewhere dependable and consistent. Inside is like a typical Irish pub: long bar, wood everywhere, comfy high tops and booth seating along the wall. Keep in mind that it is a sports bar with TVs everywhere, so they will be playing the major sport of the season. The volume isn't too loud though, enough to hear, but don't need to cover your ears. The bottomless option on the weekend is great, 2-3 drinks and you get your money's worth. The bloody's are good quality, with a good bite of Tabasco and horseradish (I prefer that!) and the mimosas are bubbly forward (they're not skimping you with mostly OJ). The food prices for brunch aren't crazy either. Selection is a bit limited, but seeing as this is a pub/tavern, I think they have a pretty good mix. Overall, would absolutely recommend. If you have a big group, have some common sense and book a reservation, but likely able to do walk-ins for small groups, couples, or singles easily. This is a great option for laid back vibes in HK.
