Epsa lemonade drink
Jiali L.

We've now come to 3Greeks twice, once to sit down and more recently a takeout order. The pictures below are from our first sit down visit. The first time I got a zucchini croquets sandwich and a chicken shawarma platter with an Epsa lemonade drink. The second time we ordered a falafel sandwich (with tzatziki and hummus), a chicken shawarma sandwich lunch special which came with fries plus an Epsa sour cherry drink. Between the drinks, the lemonade was preferred. The sour cherry drink was nice but is a bit of an acquired taste and I wouldn't mind sampling it or mixing it with something else. It's not super sour so if you like the taste of cherries and don't mind a bit of tartness this might be for you. For my sandwiches, the zucchini croquets sandwich was great! The croquets were soft inside but had a slight crispiness on the outside. For me, the balsamic glaze was the finishing touch it needed for the sandwich to come together. Would recommend and definitely get again! I really enjoy a good falafel and am not sure if the takeout impacted this though the falafel itself was a bit dry. I also chose hummus and tzatziki together and I think the choice of these 2 spreads might have been a bit much in the sandwich itself. As for the chicken shawarma, my bf felt that it was pretty tasty and tasted clean (not too oily, plus he got the chicken again so he definitely enjoyed it). The second time, his order came with fries and those were absolutely delicious! The verdict, it's great for a quick meal both seated or on the go. They have some solid options though it may be good to not overload the spreads or ask for them on the side if getting a sandwich. Get the fries and try one of the Epsas if you're up for something new. Zucchini croquets was a hit for me and maybe pass on the falafel though we'll certainly be coming back to try out other menu items!

Hallumi Cheese in pita wrap (vegetarian)

So disappointed by the food. Not prepared well, missing ingredients. I will not be returning Food: I ordered the falafel sandwich, a spinach pie, and a halloumi gyro. The halloumi sandwich was fine - but very salty and dry! The falafel sandwich had these really weird sweet flavor. The spinach pie was rock hard - I couldn't bite through the pastry - it was essentially burnt. They also mentioned fries within the sandwich- which there were none. Especially with everything it her Mediterranean place in Astoria, I do not recommend coming here. Price: for what you get- some dishes were expensive. Leaving quality aside, the spinach pie $9 and so small. The sandwiches were priced fine - around $9-$10 each.

Carryout and delivery are the most popular choices. It has a dining room but I hardly have ever seen anyone eating in here. 3Greeks is a small restaurant. Delivery is convenient and they go to a wide area. They have pretty decent prices. Falafel is my favorite item. It comes in a pita or on a platter. They have a combo meal menu that includes a drink and a side. Gyros are the most popular item. They have pretty good prices. It's about $6 for the falafel in a pita. This comes with a lemony tahini sauce and there's chopped vegetables. A falafel platter is about $12 and comes with several additional items. There's pitas, rice, and Greek salad. I would get delivery if I was still close enough. It even delivers to Roosevelt Island. They're one of the few places to even go there.

Lamb Gyro Platter (NEW)

*delivery review ordered: lamb gyro platter, melitzanosalata, small feta spread; comes with two pitas lamb gyro: pretty good, soft and fresh, not too salty or greasy greek salad: good, a lot of feta melitzanosalata: good, a little bit too sweet feta spread: I would skip this haha, smelly for me tzatziki: a little bit watery, but flavor is fine lemon patato: normal the ingredients taste pretty fresh:) overall I really enjoy the lamb gyro, would come back for it;also want to try their roka salad

chicken shawarma sandwich (bottom), lamb gyro sandwich (top)

Sandwiches were huge (objects in mirror are larger than they appear), messy to eat, but so so good. Felt like I was holding a lil bouquet! We got the chicken shawarma and lamb gyro. Vibe of place was a tad too quiet for comfortable conversation, but we did come on a misty cold evening. Dude in the front was chill when I def butchered the pronunciation of the food names

Lamb sandwich is delicious.
Rich W.

Their gyro was delicious but it is not your traditional gyro. It is a hipster-revised with fries wrapped with my lamb meat; definitely not traditional. I ordered the lamb gyro sandwich- overall it is pretty good. Not greasy, filling is fresh, and lamb is deliciously seasoned. Rated 4/5 The dining area is small with a capacity of 12 customer then it gets crowded. There is a table just outside with an umbrella. Most of their business must be deliveries because they have 6 electric bike outside; I bet they get a lot of orders from people on Roosevelt Island. Parking in the area is not easy during the day time because of all the car shops and apartment buildings in the area. I definitely will return to try their other menu items. Q102 and Q103 bus goes here.

The food was a bit mixed but overall enjoyable. The Aperol spritz was slightly lackluster, though still perfectly drinkable. The brizola had good flavor, but came out more cooked than the medium rare I ordered. The standout was definitely the dolmathes avgolemono, which had a really flavorful filling and a delicious sauce that brought the whole dish together.

They were soggy the moment I got them. and only walked one block home. Too many crammed in a small box, and probably threw them in there immediately after frying. Taste horrible. Feta is good. I typically wouldn't review something like this but I spent my lunch budget on fries in the rain. I don't feel like going back outside to get lunch. Bummer !!!

Unsurprisingly, there was a long line to put down our names on that gloriously warm and sunny spring evening. We were told the wait time was 1-1.5 hours which honestly went by so fast because there are so many fun places around the area. We got our table at around 8pm in the restaurant area right across the street. I can definitely see the timeless appeal of this place-- the vibes are so fun, the energy is young and vibrant, lights are dim, the music is loud, the smell of sizzling grilled meats and fries fills the space -- all of this hidden behind the facade of a printshop in Chinatown. It's a one-of-a-kind place. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. We shared: - bottle of orange wine: very generously priced which we easily split amongst us 4. The wine was bright, refreshing and had a lot of body. - dips: we ordered the tzaitziki and the fava bean dip. They accidentally gave us the tirokafteri (or spicy feta) initially which was ironically my favorite dip out of the ones we tried, with the perfect creamy and spicy balance. The tzaitziki was also delicious, refreshing, and cool. The fava bean dip eventually came and it was a bit flat in flavor and texture compared to the other two. It tasted like blended fava beans with some capers on top and no other flavor elements. It was also a bit dry and I was expecting a texture more similar to hummus. The dips came with very delicious pita/regular bread and we also asked for cucumber slices for our gluten free friend (didn't know this was an option but cool!). - octopus: pretty small portion for 4 people but amazing! The octopus was super tender and flavorful. Considering how busy this place is, I was surprised at how well made this was. They have the dish mastered. Highly recommend! Would order again. - gigante beans: tomato bean stew, pretty good and filling! Good to share if you want something a bit more hearty and warm. Also gluten free! Perfect for colder months. - saganaki: I think I would come back exclusively for this alone. It's the perfect dish: the salty and melty cheese is packed inside layers of crispy, flaky, buttery phyllo, with sweet honey on top. This had the perfect balance of flavors and textures. I would order one for myself next time. Definitely a crowd favorite. - mixed grill: the menu said this was for 3 but it was actually a very generous portion for us 4. Delicious meats: it had lamb chops, some chicken and pork souvlaki, Greek sausage, and ground beef patties, all over a bed of well seasoned fries and pita. Truly a stellar dish. Perfect to share and super satisfying. - desserts: we tried the baklava and cheesecake. The baklava came completely without structure and was not that good (too heavy on the cinnamon for my taste and not enough filling), however the cheesecake was rich and creamy with a tangy flavor that perfectly balanced the sweet strawberries and delicious crust! Very well made. My major critique is that the service was quite disappointing. I felt like our waitress was not very kind/ helpful/ was annoyed at us perpetually for no good reason. Additionally, items in our order were messed up or came out too late (which is usually acceptable because we all make mistakes but flagging down anyone for help was virtually impossible). Ultimately, I would probably come again with a group of young people because the food was so good and affordable. The vibe is also pretty unique. However, Kiki's could certainly benefit from polishing its service a bit/ hiring more staff so there is enough attention to customers. While they understandably manage tremendous volumes of people, especially over weekends, that should not come at the expense of the customer experience.

The salad was very fresh and generously sprinkled with feta and beautiful cherry tomatoes. The spinach pie was delicious and the moussaka served in an individual crock was great.
