It is an unassuming Greek cafe with a few seats situated on Vernon Boulevard; we found their menu basic and full of traditional Greek dishes like gyros and souvlaki, as well as friendly staff. Honestly, this cafe is so essential that it might not be worth a visit if you crave Greek dishes, and they are never open on weekends. I rarely write negative reviews because I understand how much a bad review can hurt a business, but in this case, I feel compelled. Our department of five ordered from 3 Greeks today, and every single item we received--spanakopita, lamb gyros, fries, and creme puffs--was not fresh. The food arrived cold, stale, and tasted off. It wasn't just disappointing; it was downright bad. It felt like gross negligence to serve this level of quality. Sadly, this experience has prompted us to start an office board of places we won't be ordering from again, and 3 Greeks is at the top of that list. We've now come to 3Greeks twice, once to sit down and more recently a takeout order. The pictures below are from our first sit down visit. The first time I got a zucchini croquets sandwich and a chicken shawarma platter with an Epsa lemonade drink. The second time we ordered a falafel sandwich (with tzatziki and hummus), a chicken shawarma sandwich lunch special which came with fries plus an Epsa sour cherry drink. Between the drinks, the lemonade was preferred. The sour cherry drink was nice but is a bit of an acquired taste and I wouldn't mind sampling it or mixing it with something else. It's not super sour so if you like the taste of cherries and don't mind a bit of tartness this might be for you. For my sandwiches, the zucchini croquets sandwich was great! The croquets were soft inside but had a slight crispiness on the outside. For me, the balsamic glaze was the finishing touch it needed for the sandwich to come together. Would recommend and definitely get again! I really enjoy a good falafel and am not sure if the takeout impacted this though the falafel itself was a bit dry. I also chose hummus and tzatziki together and I think the choice of these 2 spreads might have been a bit much in the sandwich itself. As for the chicken shawarma, my bf felt that it was pretty tasty and tasted clean (not too oily, plus he got the chicken again so he definitely enjoyed it). The second time, his order came with fries and those were absolutely delicious! The verdict, it's great for a quick meal both seated or on the go. They have some solid options though it may be good to not overload the spreads or ask for them on the side if getting a sandwich. Get the fries and try one of the Epsas if you're up for something new. Zucchini croquets was a hit for me and maybe pass on the falafel though we'll certainly be coming back to try out other menu items! read more

So disappointed by the food. Not prepared well, missing ingredients. I will not be returning Food: I ordered the falafel sandwich, a spinach pie, and a halloumi gyro. The halloumi sandwich was fine - but very salty and dry! The falafel sandwich had these really weird sweet flavor. The spinach pie was rock hard - I couldn't bite through the pastry - it was essentially burnt. They also mentioned fries within the sandwich- which there were none. Especially with everything it her Mediterranean place in Astoria, I do not recommend coming here. Price: for what you get- some dishes were expensive. Delivery is convenient and they go to a wide area. They have pretty decent prices. Falafel is my favorite item. It comes in a pita or on a platter. They have a combo meal menu that includes a drink and a side. Gyros are the most popular item. They have pretty good prices. It's about $6 for the falafel in a pita. This comes with a lemony tahini sauce and there's chopped vegetables. A falafel platter is about $12 and comes with several additional items. There's pitas, rice, and Greek salad. I would get delivery if I was still close enough. It even delivers to Roosevelt Island. They're one of the few places to even go there. read more

Greek happens to be one of the many cuisines we're immensely blessed to have in Queens. 3Greeks Grill in particular ranks on the upper end of the spectrum, where the food is so tasty that even their off days are still considered pretty good. They are primarily a take out and delivery operation. There is some seating, mainly inside along the counter where the aroma of grilled gyro meat is so strong that it's nice to get a front seat to all the action. Service is solid and so are the prices. I love their Greek salads, especially with pork or chicken souvlaki on top. Their gyros are incredibly popular as well, as they're stuffed to the brim with plenty of veggies, fries, and choice of protein. I love watching the rotating spit of the gyro meat, as it glistens and looks succulent through and through. Who doesn't love a halloumi cheese wrap or their super tasty zucchini croquettes? While I'm not the biggest fan of their lemon potatoes or the prassini salad, I would recommend to everyone to finish (or start) things off with their crispy spinach pie. They might have all the bells and whistles of the prestigious establishments within the nearby hoods, but I think 3Greeks has a lot of potential to remain in the Greek food game for a long time. read more

It's a tiny corner spot to get a quick bite for lunch or on the go. They definitely have the best gyro in the area hands down. Fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked gyro meat. Well...6 years later and I have to say this is the best Greek style option in LIC! The soups are always tasty...lentil and chickpea soups are my favorite. The salads are made with the freshest ingredients. My favorite is the Spinach with chick peas.....Crispy baby spinach, chickpeas, avocado, scallions, cilantro, kalamata olives and homemade lemon vinaigrette. It is served with pita bread. Their gyro was delicious but it is not your traditional gyro. It is a hipster-revised with fries wrapped with my lamb meat; definitely not traditional. Rated 4/5 The dining area is small with a capacity of 12 customer then it gets crowded. There is a table just outside with an umbrella. Most of their business must be deliveries because they have 6 electric bike outside; I bet they get a lot of orders from people on Roosevelt Island. Parking in the area is not easy during the day time because of all the car shops and apartment buildings in the area. I definitely will return to try their other menu items. I ordered a very large delivery for an office luncheon. My coworkers are very difficult to please, and they all loved this food. The delivery driver was named Thanasis and he was the best. He called ahead of time and asked if we needed anything to keep the food warm. Then he set up all of the food for us and even gave us some tips on the best way to eat the food. My first Greek experience in Astoria. This is a cute little deli style restaurant with limited interior seating on the corner of Vernon and 36th Ave, right by the Roosevelt Island bridge. I came and ordered to-go in person while my boyfriend waited in the car. The man working was very kind and let me order the lunch special although it was late afternoon. He made sure I had everything I needed before I left. He even offered to let me wait in the car and bring the food out to me, but I decided to wait inside. The only thing was he did not give me any extra tzatziki sauce when I asked for it and said it was already in the bag. I ordered the chicken souvlaki sandwich and it was very tasty. A little underseasoned but lots of meat. My boyfriend got the bifteki and said it was ok. Tzatziki was not what I expected - a little more watery and underseasoned than I'm used to. Used to love this place when it first opened. We ordered from them every other day basically. Once a restaurant gets comfortable with you, they start seeing what they can get away with. Have ordered takeout and paid for extra sauces, only to find they didn't put any. And then it became overpriced for LESS food. They barely put anything into what used to be my favorite, pork souvlaki platters.. and last I checked, the price was pushing $20 for the same plate with items conveniently missing. When the place first opened it was $12. I get that they need to make rent, but I haven't gone there in almost a year now because they treat customers like customers are privileged to be treated like garbage. So I been hearing great things about this place for a couple of months and finally had a chance to try it. I ordered the souvlaki platter which comes with a Greek salad, lemon potatoes, pita bread and tzatziki sauce. OMG this food was delicious and the delivery was super fast. I'm a huge fan of Greek food and being lucky enough to have Greek friends and to live so close to Astoria I had more than my share and I have to say this place its great. Huge fan of Greek food and because of the high caliber reviews of 3 Greeks Grill, I chose to finally order from their restaurant. I ordered a Spanakopita (spinach pie) and Greek salad for myself and my buddy had the Chicken Gyro Sandwich with a separate side order of the lemon potatoes. I ordered a Rizogalo (rice pudding) that we both planned on sharing (key word, PLANNED lol). First off, A star is immediately deducted from their overall rating simply due to the delivery time. The order was placed on off peak hours so delivering to our location, which was 7 blocks from the restaurant, should not have taken over an hour. We called around the 50 minute mark and the woman who answered said it takes time to prepare the food. Ironically the food still arrived lukewarm. As for the food itself, I was fortunate my friend had dressing in her house or else I would have just had a bland salad. They were extremely stingy with the feta to where it was barely visible. I could not take more than 2 bites of the spinach pie without having the feeling to regurgitate and proceeded to trash it. My friend ate her chicken gyro sandwich but stated it was just "meh" and "nothing extraordinary." Remember that Rizogalo we planned on sharing? I guess the restaurant had different plans lol because it never came with the order. I'm not sure if they charged us for it or if they deducted it from the total amount due, but communication is key. If our order was being modified in any way, we should have been contacted. I was always taught to find the finer qualities in people, or rather establishments in this case. I chose to compliment them with an extra star simply on the basis of how delicious their lemon potatoes are. I will most definitely not order/dine from here again but for those who choose to, go with the lemon potatoes! read more
