This is 2 reviews in one. My partner asked me to find a nice place to take an associate out to lunch during UN week. I chose Zaytinya (not having personally been here) based on the reviews and photos of the interior. They had a great time! It turned into a 3 hour lunch, other ambassadors ended up joining, and he was very pleased with the service. I finally had my own taste of Zaytinya this week. I had the Brussel sprouts & seared halloumi, my friend had the burger, we shared the grape leave Dolmades. It was ... good. I wasn't blown away by the food. It was my first time having Halloumi, it was a nice mix of flavors with the sweetness of the fruit on the plates. The cheese was not salty as I had anticipated. I went to another Mediterranean style restaurant early this month that I still salivate over when I think about it sadly, Zaytinya didn't win my heart over in the same way. Would I go back? Sure. Would it be my first choice, no. Giving it 4 stars based on my partner & I's experience.

The food here is like a slightly refined Mediterranean cuisine inspired by Turkish and Lebanese flavors. I like it better than a regular Greek restaurant because it has more flavors. I deducted one star because portion for a lot of dishes are too small for the price. Like each small plate of mezze is $12; the entrée octopus, is a small plate that you'd think it's an appetizer dish. Service is impeccable: Our server was patience and understanding. The spacious has a huge, spacious dining area that can easily accommodate large groups. The ambiance is warm and welcoming with higher ceilings. Downsides: Small portion. Only one bathroom for a huge space like this. Side note: I like there's an option to pay digitally by scanning a QR code. Tips are automatically added for a large party (I imagine 5+)

Had a great dinner with Zaytinya in NYC. I've been to the DC location before, had a chance to eat at their NYC location. Food is under the same quality. And we also ordered couple new items we did not tried before - the half chicken. All food is light, well-balanced, tasty, healthy. And I like the vibe of this restaurant, great service, great drinks, and they did not put main entree and light dishes together. We had a chance to enjoy the fresh from oven pita mixing with hummus, and other sauces combo. Their chocolate cake is also delicious, not too sweet and having Greek yoghurt ice cream with it. Super balanced! Had a great dinner with my sister, we talked and enjoyed full 2 hrs dinner experience. They did not rush everything and tell us to leave in certain timeframe. Super chill and relaxed that night. Will definitely come back again

I loved this restaurant when I first tried it in DC, so I was excited to visit the New York location. For some reason it did not hit the same for me. The bread came out cold and the dishes were not as flavorful or exciting as what I remembered from my first visit. The lamb was recommended by the staff, but the texture was a bit chewier than what I had in DC. It was still decent, just not as tender as I expected. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and they were able to accommodate a large group with no issues. The only con is that there is just one bathroom, so be prepared for a wait. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Reservations were also really easy to make which I appreciated. Overall it was fine, but the DC location was definitely the standout for me.

We had an amazing experience at Zaytinya! It was date night in the city so we chose Zaytinya for dinner and drinks. We had a reservation but didn't seem to need it as we got there at 5pm. We were immediately welcomed by the server and offered bread and we order a side of hummus! The bread was fabulous and we were continually served bread when we ran out with our hummus. I had the shrimp tapas plate which was very good but I'd suggest ordering it as an appetizer or a shared dish as it is quite small. The lamb burger was great and came with a side of fries. I'd definitely suggest this place for a date night as the prices are quite high. Quality for food is amazing!

Wonderful lunch for our first time at Zaytinya. Had many dishes, including the Labeneh, the Eggplant Pide, the lamb meatballs, Cauliflower and Brussel Sprouts and Lamb Pita. the best were the Eggplant Pide, and Brussell Sprouts. The service was very good, attentive and suggesting many dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back soon.

Found this spot by random and loved it so much we had to come back a 2nd time and were not disappointed. We had reservations and ran late, but were able to get a table eventually. It's located in the Ritz-Carlton on the corner. The inside is very nice; however, it's a bit cramped with the seating. Everything we had was delicious, from the food to the drinks. The portions are a bit on the smaller side for some dishes, given the price, but still worth it. Eventually, I will try the whole menu at this rate, lol. Definitely one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants to visit.

This is an absolute gem. Went to dinner here on Valentines day and I have to say, this place is precisely stellar at combing creativity, understanding of the cuisine, ambience and impeccable service. The food is delightful, small plates, expertly done, plated with care. How can hummus be amazing, when the whole city is filled with places where you can get hummus? Well, they do it better, season it better, take the time for the consistency to be perfect. I also liked prtakal salatasi, brocolini and octopus. Seared Salmon was like none other. I cannot forget their amazing drink menu with 3pm in istanbul and Ankara Rye Club being my favorite. Lastly but definitely not least, Jessica our waiter was instrumental in ensuring a higher level dining experience. She was friendly, guided us through the menu and made my son smile.

Visited the Zaytinya for breakfast in NyC. Nice spot , great atmosphere. Service was attentive , clean restaurant. This is off the Ritz Carlton hotel. Food was solid. We were waiting for an appointment and stopped in on a Sunday morning.

This review is for lunch Excellent iced tea, made from Tiryaki Çay black tea. Includes refills. First impression from the watermelon salad - skimpy portions, but delicious. Then the sandwich and cauliflower came out - much better portion size and also delicious. Service was very good; the servers worked as a team. From perfect seasoning, mouthwatering flavors to bright contemporary decor, I recommend this restaurant. Jose Andres seems to own Tin Pan Alley (NW corner of Broadway and W 28th St), at least the bottom of The Ritz hotel.

Came for summer 2025 restaurant week $30 lunch and was happy with the experience. Beautiful decor. Perfect for any kind of gathering, from business lunch to a romantic date. Gets loud during peak hours, so lunch and dinner times will get you to strain your voice a bit. Staff were courteous. My only complaint is feeling rushed. The plates were not even empty, as staff tried to whisk them away. Not a fan of such "efficiency" above guests' pace. Had one of the best cocktails of our lives: $22 "3pm in Istanbul" was superb. Perfectly balanced. Strong, refreshing, tasty, slightly tart & gently sweet. Definitely get this. I do not drink, but I would return just for this "3pm" at any pm of the day. From 2025 restaurant week $30 lunch, we had the brussels sprouts [substitution for asparagus], which was a perfect dish and my favorite of the entire experience. Big portion and soooo satisfying. That fennel really elevated the taste. Perfect crunch. Would return for this again. Watermelon feta salad was simple, tasty, not a standout, light and refreshing. For main, the chicken skewer had only three tiny pieces of chicken, which felt very underwhelming for an entre. The falafel wrap was big, but mostly wrap and cherry tomatoes, very little falafel. Came with a small fattoush salad. Chocolate sesame chip cookies to go were tasty.

The restaurant is very pretty and has a luxurious upscale ambiance. I personally did not like the flavors of the food, they were a bit too intense in flavor and boldness for my taste and leaned heavily on the vinegar and tangy side. Overall I felt the flavors of the food were not well balanced. We did the Christmas prefix menu. The lamb was slightly dry, and the dessert didn't stand out. The pita bread is really delicious. The highlight of the evening was the wine pairing -- the selections were excellent, and the sommelier was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. Our server also provided great service.

When it's summer time, I find myself craving refreshing dishes of Mediterranean cuisines. Zaytinya fits the bill and offers a more refined experience than some cozy family-style restaurants you will find in other parts of the city. Despite being housed inside a Ritz Carlton, the dishes here are thankfully not outrageously priced. Our server was friendly and took time to explain the regular menu to us. We opted for the summer restaurant week menu and added an order of baba ghannouge. What I found interesting was that the baba ghannouge was served first, then the first course and second course dishes were served all at once. I enjoyed the spread a lot as it had a texture that's smooth and not too thick. The bread they served were more like airy crisps than your regular chewy pita bread, which contrasted nicely with the spread. For our first course dishes, we ordered the Brussels sprouts (they ran out of the roasted asparagus) and the watermelon salad. The salad, although refreshing, lacked presentation that I was expecting. The Brussels sprouts were either fried or baked at a high temperature that the leaves became as crispy as chips; which tasted awesome against the crema on top. For our second course, we ordered the chicken skewer (shish taouk) and the soujouk pide. The chicken tasted good but I was underwhelmed by the fact there were only four small pieces. The soujouk pide was like a pizza with sausage and runny egg. I loved how flaky the dough was; it almost reminded me of a croissant. At the end of the meal, we asked to take our tahini chocolate chip cookies to go as we were quite full already.

From start to finish everything missed the mark: The hummus was bland and tasted like someone forgot the spices. The doma (dolmas) were disappointing and didn't have the rich flavor they should. Even the baklava, which should be a sweet highlight, was dry, lackluster, and honestly not enjoyable. The Turkish coffee was so bitter it was almost undrinkable -- if you like bitter coffee, maybe it's your thing, but it wasn't what I expected. They market themselves as Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine, but what I ate didn't come close to what I'd consider good food in that category. My stomach was still growling afterward -- and not in a "I want more" way, but in a "why did I eat this?" way. The staff and service were fine and the atmosphere is pretty, but at the end of the day it's just not worth it when the food itself is so underwhelming. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for authentic or tasty Turkish/Middle Eastern food.

We started with 7 family style small dishes: Hummus with Falafel Pops (chickpea purée, tahini, falafel, olive oil), Spring Burrata (roasted cherry tomatoes, toast, basil oil), Hamachi Crudo (passionfruit vinaigrette, citrus zest, cucumber, mint, sesame tuile), Scallops (carrot puree, serrano pepper, brown butter sauce), Tenderloin Skewer (zaatar chimichurri, fresh herb salad), and Shiitake Stuffed Grape Leaves (tomato coulis, yogurt foam, herbs). Everything was delicious. The hummus was well seasoned the falafel had a nice crunch. It went well with the warm puffy gyro bread that came to the table. The burrata was wasm and creamy. I love the vinaigrette on the fish. I ended up eating most of it. The scallops were the sweetest, most tender ones I have ever had. The tenderloin skewers were tender and well seasoned. I liked the grape leaves but the rice consistency was very soft almost mushy and you can barely tell there were mushrooms. There was barely any mushrooms flavor. Next we all chose an entree. I got the duck breast, my husband and daughter each had the beef tenderloin. The duck breast was smaller than i expected. The skin was nicely seared and very crispy but boy did it give my jaw a workout. It was done medium rare. It was juicy but tough. The small beef tenderloin was tender and smoky. The waiter poured the sauce over the tenderloin for added flavor. Finally dessert was a fruit plate with ice cream and pudding. The fruit was fresh and the flavors of the ice cream and pudding unique. It was a nice end to a good brunch. The price was a little expensive at $85 a person.

The atmosphere is cozy, elegant, and inviting -- exactly the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, whether you're there for a quiet dinner or celebrating with friends. The quality of the food was outstanding across the board. I ordered the Sultani Kebab, which was perfectly grilled, beautifully seasoned, and incredibly tender -- every bite melted in my mouth. My friend had the Lamb Shank, and it was equally phenomenal: slow-cooked to perfection, falling off the bone, and bursting with rich, authentic Persian flavors. The saffron rice was fluffy and fragrant, the bread was fresh and warm, and even the appetizers and salads showed real care and attention to detail. We literally cleaned our plates -- not a grain of rice left behind! What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Musa, the manager, is in a league of his own. Despite the restaurant being absolutely packed on the night we visited, he handled everything with grace, professionalism, and a genuine smile. He made sure we were seated quickly, checked in on us throughout the meal, and made every single guest feel like a VIP. Musa and his team are a powerhouse -- incredibly strong, well-coordinated, attentive, and passionate about what they do. You can tell they take real pride in their work, and that energy radiates throughout the entire restaurant. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions, the premium quality of the ingredients, and the top-tier service. It's rare to find a place that nails all three -- food, ambiance, and hospitality -- but Ravagh absolutely does. My friends and I left feeling completely satisfied, well-fed, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for authentic Persian cuisine in a warm, welcoming setting with a team that truly cares, Ravagh is the place. The falafel was perfectly crisp with a slightly smoky outer crust that added really great texture and flavor. A bit dry tho -- Needed the hummus and Mezze Platter to dress it up a little. Salad was refreshing, crispy and a great palette cleanser across the table. The combo platter + mixed rice was fabulous. Chicken was tender and came right off the bone (something I'm new to but it was good!). It came with a side of tzatziki and persian zhoug (?) - a minty and herby chutney that just added another layer to the aromatics of the dish. Although the rice was great, it was a really large portion even for the group of 5. It would've been nice to have the option to split to a half portion of vegetables or different grain to balance quantity. Overall 8.9/10 - Definitely worth a visit with a group for business dinner or catching up on a friend's night out. They also gave our group free baklava at the end I think just because they felt a little bad they had to rush us, which wasn't even their fault and was super appreciated. Also, the interior decoration is fantastic. The restaurant feels super classy and elegant. Great vibes for a date, a business dinner, or just a fancy dinner. Overall, easy 5 stars. Great food and amazing service. Oh and the wine was delicious too.
