This was our most pleasantly surprising meal of the entire trip. We were trying to dine next door but were ignored by our server so we left and opted for this place bc we were hungry and short on time. Turns out, it was probably the best meal we had on our trip! The service was prompt and friendly and our food came out fresh and quick. We tried the mushroom hummus which was delicious (if you call yourself hummus kitchen, you better have good hummus!!). We also tried the flat bread and the pita and all their sauces are so good. Their house green sauce I literally want to order and have shipped to my door. Highly recommend!

Food was excellent. We ate the hummus before we thought to take a picture. Red chicken and chicken kebabs were excellent. Very good service and food came out quickly. Cute, intimate place for a reasonably priced meal. With a glass of wine and lemonada for an average of $40 each.

Delicious lunch yesterday at Hummus Kitchen Murray Hill! My sister and I each ordered a sandwich: schnitzel and sabich and we shared; they were both delicious. The fries accompanying the sandwiches were great! Service was very nice. Nice ambiance.

it was mid :( the food: i got the eggplant appetizer which is fried eggplant with babaganoush, and the chicken shawarma entree. everything tastes okay it's just the portion size is soooo small for the price. the entree is nearly $30 and i was so hungry after lol. the space: not huge but decently sized the service: they're nice!

Decent food! Ambient setting and a good sit out area. I didn't realize they didn't make anything using dairy. The sauces could be a little better.

While visiting NYC, we stopped here for dinner. We sat out outside in their covered area which was nice. Our server was very friendly and answered questions we had about the menu. We ended up ordering the small hummus to start and I got the espresso martini. Both for fantastic! While waiting for our food, the server came around with shots of arak which tasted like Sambuca. For dinner, I got the braised chicken couscous. This was delicious! I was told to mix it up and try different things together, but I ended up just mixing it all together and I thought it was great! Overall, this was a good experience and not too pricey.

Great service. Water was tasty. Had pillows at the chairs so was very relaxing. We ate all the food and service was very nice. Thanks

The pita bread is absolutely delicious, feels like you're eating a pillow. Great and kind service and the AC is nice and chilly. I highly recommend this place for Mediterranean food lovers!

Food was decent but the service was appalling (from one of the waiters). When something that should be in the brunch item wasn't there and I asked about it, I was told it's not supposed to be there. Then I had to go look for the menu to confirm that indeed it should be included. Then the server made some excuse, and made no attempt to do anything. I had to ask if I could get that replaced. He walked away, and when he came back, he dumped it on the table and walked away. The rudeness shocked us!

I had a great time here, mostly due to the great service here and luck :) We wanted some mediterranean food and this place was close by! The vibe is super cozy and warm, and they welcomed us immediately! We ordered: - 3 Maze choices: Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Tiberian cured beef: They kept giving us more pita, and an accidental extra hummus!! So nice. The tiberian beef is very sour (which I love) but the baba ganoush tasted a bit weird and oddly sour/fizzy. - Chicken Shawarma Platter with Israeli Salad: I wish there was a bigger portion of meat, but the Israeli salad was great. - Cauliflower Salad: If you like tahini, great dish for you! - There was this free bread that was also amazing, that came with 2 really good dips. They also gave us some free shots of liquor that was licorice flavored.

Hit the spot for my Israeli food fix, was it the best Israeli food in the city no, but for a cozy, less expensive option I would recommend. They also gave lots of freebies, they offered us shots multiple times and refilled our complimentary pickles when they saw how quickly we devoured them! Great neighborhood spot!

The Moroccan bread was excellent; portion size for the branzino was somewhat small though the stew was great. Service was efficient and pleasant.

The place wasn't busy during lunch time but busy during dinner time. Amazing service and delicious food! The food was fresh and came out fast. Lunch specials are $21.95 for 2 courses while dinner specials are $36.95 for 4 courses. I had the Eggplant with Tomato Sauce and Beets as the first course and Lamb Adana Kebab as Entrée. Lamb Adana Kebab comes with salad, which I can't have since it's cold and raw, but they were able to accommodate me and replaced salad with more rice. I had Kabak Tatlısı, which has a nice sweet taste and is healthy. All were delicious, also gluten free, dairy free and soy free. Plus, the Turkish Tea as the fourth course was a great pair with my meals. Their menu offers a variety of choices, including options that are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. I would definitely come back and suggest you give this place a try if you are in Hell's Kitchen or Columbus Circle.

Warm pita bread came out with the hummus, a perfect vehicle for the 4 different types of hummus (sirloin, chicken, tahini, and original). The shawarma was juicy and perfectly seasoned. I first went to Hummus Kitchen at their UES location, but this one is equally wonderful. The space is on the smaller side (a bit narrow) and they have indoor seating for around 20-25 people. I recommend making a reservation in advance. The servers are friendly, attentive and the food comes out fairly quickly. As the name implies, the hummus here is excellent as is the thick pita it comes with (they have regular and whole wheat). If you haven't been before, get "the hummus kitchen" as it has 4 different types of hummus you can try. The mazze are also tasty, my favorite would have to be the grape leaves, but the falafel, cauliflower and babaghanoush are also extremely delicious (you can order any 3 for $28 and it comes with pita). For entrees, I highly highly recommend the chicken shawarma tacos (2 per serving) followed by the open arais tacos (also 2 per serving) and the Mediterranean red chicken (in that order). If you don't go with the shawarma tacos or want less bread, then the shawarma platter is also a good choice. The chicken shawarma tacos here are simply incredible, they serve them in their warm fluffy pita, sliced in half, open and fill the inside with chicken, onions and whatever else makes is so ridiculously addictive. This thing is bursting with flavor, it has to be the best chicken shawarma I have had in NYC. The tacos also come with a small side of hummus and babaghanoush along with pickles and some tomato salad. The portions are what you would expect as are the prices. Really a delicious spot if you are in the area or want a great/quick meal before or after a show.

Soft blankets, but still, I was worried Our menus flew away so I went inside and asked if we could sit somewhere else. They were able to sit us on the side of the restaurant outside under a plastic enclosure. Sitting down I was a little bit worried because the chairs at the table seemed really rickety until I met Juan. I forgot all about the rickety chairs and tables once Juan and the food entered my life. Juan is a bright shiny star so happy self friendly so warm and he told us everything to order. He didn't lead us astray once and we love that in a waiter. This time during our our New York visit we were not only discussing our food we are also our waiters. As the hummus was being served, I was telling my table that I don't eat hummus anymore. I found a reason to go back on that here. A must order would be the very first bread in the bread slices for handstands down. So I must've said that it was my birthday when I made the reservation which my birthday is this month and our dessert came with a candle and Juan sang happy birthday to me. It was so freaking cute. I was with two non-dessert eaters but they dove in and I seriously got no more than 1/3rd of it, not one slurp bite or morsel more. I wanted to order another. The only chains I'd make is that I wish there were more bathrooms. I felt bad for the waitstaff peeking at the line and choosing not to stand in it. I hear the chef is up for a James Beard award and the menu is changing with more veggies for the summer. I'll be back in August!
