Dropped in for a quick lunch while touring Vail Village on foot. It was a nice day, so we decided to sit outside and watch the skiers do their thing. I worked with Jason at Los Amigos for a large to go order ahead of time for my family while we are on vacation in town. He was super easy to work with and extremely communicative. We even had a last minute change and issue on our side that he helped us navigate seamlessly! We ordered stuff all over the menu and it was a huge hit. What a great view of the hills at Vail. During winter this would be fun to watch peeps coming down the hill, then again we would probably not be on the deck sipping yummy margaritas. Got the street "burrito".... I am a vegetarian and don't eat meat and I was only given the option of putting in only beans in the burrito or only roasted veggies. They wouldn't even put in the tomatoes or lettuce that it comes with. The burrito served just looked like an enchilada with heavy sauce and the tiniest portion of shredded lettuce and tomato. So disappointed with the way they took advantage of us. We ordered 1/2 liter of margarita and specifically pointed at the house one but asked for it to be skinny. It was supposed to be $25. The bill comes and they charges us 45$ for it. We politely asked the server why the discrepancy and that we ordered the house. She goes , talks to the manager and comes back saying that we got a different one . Very very disappointing especially that I have a condo in vail and go there all the time. They shouldn't be taking advantage of locals . What a rip off. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone and hope they understand why they only have 3.5 stars. Shame on you. Both waitress and hostess were super RUDE. We only saw our server once (which took 30 minutes to be greeted we almost left) and had to go inside to ask for the check. The bartender had even seemed to be irritated that I had a question, didn't want to give me the time of day. Also a good option for families with kids, as there is a large "pirate ship" park right next door. We sat outside on the back patio (late Spring) and were in and out within the hour. Tacos are delicious, especially after a day on the mountain. Location is prime-- you can get off the gondola and be at the bar within a minute! The al pastor tacos are perfectly paired with a bit of pineapple, and the pork belly taco is crunchy and very satisfying. After a long day of skiing, we went here for dinner based on a recommendation from my sister and I am so glad we did! The margs and food were tasty and service was friendly. We tried to make a reservation online but didn't see anything available so we decided to give walking in a shot and were seated immediately in a comfy booth. We had started the day at Lionshead but needed to catch a bus from the Vail Transportation Center, which was conveniently the same stop (Covered Bridge) on the free Intown shuttle as Los Amigos. As I do not eat meat I was asking a server if they can make me a shrimp burrito, I saw they have shrimps in the many and it take 5 mins to make a shrimp burrito! I was told NO in a very rude manner. The server said that he is no gonna even try to ask the kitchen but started pushing me to order the other meal from the menu. I've been to this restaurant twice now, and both times the food was delicious. My experience started with the classic chips and salsa (+ guacamole) appetizers. And I like how they kept refilling the chips basket. They never once left it empty for a single second. They were always warm and freshly salted. Mmmm. I felt very taken care of. The drink I had was water, but my sister got a Coke and the straw had a nice draw and very appealing. Our server Hunter was very nice and attentive. He smiled a lot too. I was deciding between the mango chicken street tacos and the chili rellenos. I asked him how spicy the chili rellenos was because I'm very particular about what level of spicy ness I can handle! And I must say Hunter, my server, did quite an exquisite job describing the dish. I decided to go for it, and WOW, his description was spot ON! It had a little bit of a kick, but not too much for my taste. The dish was very appealing and extremely satisfying. One thing I liked was that you could eat it in a provided tortilla or by the fork. It was nice to have that option. It also had a few yummy complimentary sides. The place has a beautiful view looking over the village. You could see the water fountain.
