Chicken enchiladas with rice and beans

The service was quick, it was busy. Thankfully we arrived prior to the 7pm rush. The drinks arrived quickly, chips and salsa were good, the lobster taco was amazing and the rice and beans were excellent. We might have liked the enchiladas and barbacoa better had they arrived warm. The views and service was good and we didn't have to wait. The lobster taco, omg!!

Friendly staff. view and location was great. Food was ok. I've had better and I've had worse Mexican food. Expensive for what you're getting but what isn't overpriced in Vail.

Los amigos was delicious! The service was incredible and so fast! The waitstaff and employees were all so friendly. The TV's we're playing extreme skiing videos which added to the ambiance of being situated right at the base of gondola one. The tacos and chimichangas are a must order. The drinks are deliciously prepared and perfectly tasting. Can't wait to come back!

I went here for my birthday with a large group in vail. It is one of the few cheaper spots in vail where you can actually make a reservation for a large group. Quick service and the food was tasty. They do celebrate birthdays and make it a fun day! The only bummer is it was cold outside and one party had a door open which made the place a little chilly

Decent food and quick service. I got a pork belly taco, carne asada taco, and grilled fish taco. They were all good, but I especially enjoyed the fish taco. We also got the dip trio and the guac and salsa were tasty. My friends had drinks; however, I passed for the evening. Service was good. Our server was quick, and we got our food in almost no time. The place was casual and laid back, and it seemed popular. Definitely one of the cheaper places to eat in Vail Village for sure. I had a good time.

What a great view of the hills at Vail. During winter this would be fun to watch peeps coming down the hill, then again we would probably not be on the deck sipping yummy margaritas. It was a beautiful early September day here in Vail. If you are like me, you crave some yummy nachos, enchiladas or tacos while traveling. Their margaritas went down way to easily. We split an order of chicken nachos, had chicken tacos chicken. The food was all decent. The margaritas, sun and rays on the patio were the highlight.

This place is great for what it is: cheap Mexican food in Vail. What else is there to talk about? Do you want cheap Mexican food or not? I got the carne asada and it was a tasty, filling meal for a good price. Definitely gave me a reasonable sized piece of steak, would recommend this dish for sure. Everyone else liked their food.

This is a nice Mexican spot right by the fountain. The service was great, staff was friendly. The ambiance is casual and simple. The food was good. I had the ceviche and everyone ordered the chicken fajitas and carne asada. We got guacamole for the table. My ceviche was delicious, not too salty like most places.

And to stumble upon this chic and inconspicuous cocktail bar in the busy downtown was something I wasn't expecting and became a treat after a nice stroll through the town after dinner in my hotel room. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was at the place where my heart was calling for. There were two gents at the bar and one of them warmly greeted me and said I could sit anywhere I would like. I hence picked one of the bar seats. Except one table that was occupied by a couple I was the only one. I appeared to have picked the right time; I had the whole bar to myself (eventually though, several different groups of people streamed in; only a few of them sat at the bar close to me. The bar was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a little over 10 people.) Jeremy, who greeted me upon arrival, was a super host. As soon as I explained that wine is my usual got-to, he said he could mix and match reds and whites to create a "flight" based on what I had told him as to my likings. His extensive explanations as to what sorts of reds and whites the bar offers/serves was (of course) all in his memory. His eloquent speech with no filler words truly impressed me; he sure is a wine connoisseur. What he picked for me were... -2024 Pepiere "Les Gras Moutons" (Muscadet) -Kobal "Bajta", Hazole Belo (aka Orange Wine) -Sandlands "Red Table Wine (Lodi Red Blend) With his wealth of knowledge, after giving him only a hint of what I liked, what Jeremy selected for me to sample/sip was a superb choice. All of them were world-class excellence with elegance and beauty. I carefully and slowly sipped each one little by little to truly immerse myself in the art of wine. Yes, wine is a piece of art for sure. I think I said it correctly at the beginning of this review. This is a cocktail bar with variety of spirits which Jeremy could easily concoct just about anything from gin-based one to vodka-based one to tequila-based ones to whiskey-based one to name several. For those who don't drink, their zero-proof section also has something interesting to browse and choose. Not to mention, rotating pilsner or IPA on tap to name a few from the beer section as well. If you need a little bite to eat, their (changing) food menu has a good number of New American-style plates. The bar originally opened in a different building back in 2015 (I believe). They moved to the current location in 2019. They also offer various different classes so you can expand/extend your knowledge. So for your next foodie vacation in Vail, make sure to include Root & Flower in your list.

Price: Expect standard Vail pricing for high-end cocktails, with most drinks ranging between $16-$20. Customer Service: The service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly kind and efficient; even though we stayed for quite a while to catch up, we felt welcomed and well-attended to the entire night. Atmosphere This spot has a cool, welcoming vibe that feels very safe. It's the kind of environment where you can really settle in and enjoy the company you're with. The Drinks I ordered the Sangre del Sol. The flavor was amazing, though be warned it is very strong! It's an excellent choice if you enjoy a cocktail with a serious kick, but I ended up letting my friend finish mine after a few sips. Overall Experience I highly recommend Root & Flower for a beautiful setting and top-tier service. Pro Tip: A huge bonus for this location is the parking! You can park for free after 3 PM at the S. Frontage Rd. East garage right nearby. I'll definitely be back!

The gondola is cool because we had our own speak to play whatever we pleased! It felt very private and intimate which I really enjoyed. I loved the decor throughout the restaurant and our gondola had cute little touches as well. For example they had a coo coo clock that when off every hour. For drinks I tried their feuerzangenbowle and the muled wine. My husband got a Hugo spritz and jagertee. I loved my drinks the feuerzangenbowle uses flambé which was so cool!, it's pretty similar to the muled wine. Muled wine is always a favorite of mine when the weather gets cold! Our server was awesome and super attentive. He answered any questions we had and was very friendly. The gondolas have a set menu we ended up ordering more that was on the set menu since I wanted fondue and my husband wanted the raclette. We added on a fondue, ordered the raclette that came on our fixed menu and added on steak, along with the pretzel that comes as an appetizer. The food was really good, I think it is also just so cozy and suiting for the cold weather! Fondue and raclette are also just such a fun way to dine! Highly recommend and definitely will be back just to try the standard experience too without the gondola.
