Worst service I have ever experienced! We were with a party of 14, 6 of which were kids. The kids food came out on time, but that was the only thing that worked out. The appetizers and soups came out after the kids were finished with their meals about 45 minutes after we ordered. After waiting an hour and a half for our meal we asked how much longer it would take for our food to come out, the server could. It give us a reasonable estimate that the food would be coming anytime soon. We had decided to leave, paid for the kids food and appetizers and as we were leaving the manager was happy he had one less table to deal with as no tables were getting any food. read more

Simply put, this place shows that presentation isn't as important as taste and flavor. The food looked good but was cold and bland. Service was slow and continually justified as the result of only having opened this past week. The prices were fine and the aesthetic and atmosphere was pleasant. The kicker was charging $3.50 for a glass of orange juice that came out half full with pulp on the rims. Overall we were not impressed at all with the quality of food and service we received. With that said it wasn't a nightmare and the food was edible. I just feel strongly that the other reviews came from bots or employees since they seem far too optimistic, thus I felt this review should polarize that, thus the 1 star. In reality I would give it a 3/5 stars. I would suggest Black Walnut Cafe instead, the atmosphere and food are simply better. read more

Excellant service at the bar late on a Saturday evening. We started out at the Local Bar around the corner, but was so loud we chose not to stay. Ordered local beer and the house chardonnay. For dinner we ordered the crab cakes and the shrimp taco's. Both good. Service was excellant. read more

Been to Local Table 3 times now, not really sure I will be going back for a 4th visit. The first time the food and service were wonderful, much better than its sister restaurant Hungry's Bistro on Memorial. Same menu, but they just seemed to prepare the dishes better at Local Table. Portions were great, service was great, all in all a good experience. The second visit my "diner radar" went off. The hostess was so bored and more interested in her reflection in the window. The service has certainly changed (maybe it was just that night). But there was a definite change in the quality and quantity of the food. Hmmmmm.. maybe it was a one off night I thought. Went back tonight and the downward trend continues. The hummus appetizer had tons of pita and a small dollop of hummus. The food was just ok, but I am beginning to question the quality for price ratio. For two of us, and a $40 ticket, I would have expected a better meal and experience. So, I am very hesitant to give this another try since the trend seems to be downward. I had such high hopes for this restaurant. read more

We just moved to Katy and Local Table is my new favorite restaurant! So far, I've ordered the Kabob twice and my husband ordered the chicken friend chicken and the philly cheese steak. The grilled veggies were well-prepared and the rice was so good. The atmosphere and food are great, and we had exceptional service. The atmosphere and ambiance was excellent. We were able to walk in and get a table immediately, since we were able to beat the Sunday church crowd by about 20 minutes. Waitstaff was very attentive, great personalities. The white sangria was very good and excellent for the price. I enjoyed the food - the crab cakes Benedict was a fun play, but had a little too much bread (they did ciabatta instead of an English muffin) for me. Overall, very satisfied. I have never written a review before, mainly because I have worked in food service before and I know how grueling it can be. I also know how ridiculous customers can be when it comes to verbally ripping apart typically decent food/service. With that said, I want to (hopefully) give some constructive feedback ... I live MAYBE 8 mins from the restaurant , was exhausted last night and figured I'd order in. Local table delivers so it sounded perfect. Also local table appears to have a somewhat 'health conscious' menu so that was a plus. I ordered online through Yelp. The food took 75 mins to come 2 miles to my house(in hindsight I should have cancelled he order) the food was completely cold and all wrong; my chicken sandwich was literally as if they sliced two tiny thin pieces of grilled chicken and smothered it with greasy cheese(which I specifically requested they leave off) between too insanely massive buns that I threw away because the chicken inside was so small it was impossible to enjoy it like a sandwich. The delivery boy was so rude and for some reason I STILL(?) handed him a 5 dollar tip which he snatched out of my hand without even a "thanks" . Anyways, I am NOT a picky person, but this place charges $13 for the shittiest/coldest/saddest excuse for a "chicken burger" I've even observed. I would not eat here if you appreciate authentic Mediterranean food. This place is just unauthentic ideas being executed with extreme lack of passion or desire to actually satisfy costumers. This is in my opinion one of the better restaurants in Katy. Service can be kinda hit or miss but the food seems pretty consistent. Great salads. The outside seating however is super uncomfortable if you have just the slightest bit of back problem - I'd really recommend Local Table getting some decent seating outside as it is super noisy inside as the acoustic of the place totally sucks. This place is great and FINALLY something will make it in this spot in Villagio. It has probably been 5-6 different Mexican places before. Great food and all well done. Clean place and apparently expanding to open a bar next door. From fried badness to healthy options, they do everything. Delivery service is very convenient. It's not always available but between delivery and dine in I have eaten here over 20 times. Sonoma Chicken Salad is my go-to sandwich. So glad this place took off. The best restaurant in Katy! This place has brought life to a slowly dying shopping center. Hopefully it will attract more businesses to move to Villagio Center to rival "that one on 99 and Cinco." The food is great, and varied enough that there's something for everyone. I love their salads, especially the kale salad, and the spicy salmon tacos. My experience was excellent. The atmosphere, the music, the service, all great. I had the poblano grilled chicken and it was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The price is reasonable for the quality and the quantity you get with it. I will definitely come back to Local Table. read more
