Decided to try out this spot with some friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice. I liked that there was outdoor seating and a place for kids to play around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was friendly. Unfortunately the dish I ordered didn't make sense to me. I ordered the Roasted Beet Poke Bowl. As a lover of poke bowls, I thought it would be fun to try a vegetarian take on the dish. I wouldn't say anything about this dish reminded me of a poke bowl. It was more like a fall salad with the beets and the brussel sprouts.

Pepperoni pizza was just too salty and I felt the Margherita pizza lacked mozzarella and too much arugula. Great restaurant can't wait to try more dishes.

Tried this place for lunch with friends and I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor of the food and the surface was excellent. It has a cozy small bar area, an outdoor patio, plenty of indoor seating, a banquet room, and even a larger bar area in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because of the seminar, we had a limited menu to choose from. I ordered the gyro and my daughter had the chicken wrap. The lamb in the gyro was a bit overcooked, but the portion was generous. The chicken wrap was very good and also came in a sizeable portion. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more items from their full menu.

Visited Local Table for dinner at their newer location. The inside is quite large with main seating, large bar, patio area, semi private dining space, and open kitchen. It was easy to get a table for six on a Sunday evening without a reservation. The menu had a lot of offer which was great for our group! We started with some apps that were all tasty! The Ahi Tuna Tartare and Baked Goat Cheese were certainly the fan favorites! We also got a round of drinks. They know how to make a tasty drink but please note that the spicy pineapple margarita is SPICY! The heat is throughout. For entrees, we ordered a mix of sandwiches, pasta, pizza, and meals. I got the Pepperoni Pizza which was good but could have been cooked longer. Don't pass on a side of ranch to dip! My tried a bite of the Meatloaf Entree which I didn't realize had red pepper in it. It definitely gave it a unique flavor. The portions were good and pricing was fair. The only drawback we experienced was slow service. We continued to wait for our check, boxes, and to order our next course. May have just been that night though!

My brother and I had an exceptional experience at Cafe Pyaala. Every dish we tried from their Pakistani menu was phenomenal, crafted fresh to order with vibrant, authentic flavors. The service matched the outstanding food--warm, attentive, and so welcoming that we felt like part of the family. Wow! This was our 1st time and it was fabulous! We sat at the bar and Tyler took care of us! Tyler is soo Awesome, he's attentive, knowledgeable, engaging and you can see he's very comfortable in his job! Tyler is how all servers shld be! I have been to Local Table several times since they open. I have been there with friends and also on dates. Love the ambiance, staff is very friendly. The main reason why they didn't get 5 stars is because all 4 times I've been there, we've had to flag our waiter down to get the check and I've gotten fries with my meal twice and both times the fries were soggy. Undercooked its seems. First time I let the waiter know and he took them back, by the time he bought back out new ones, I was already done with my meal. Second time, fries were soggy again..maybe that's just how their fries are? Great addition to Katy nonetheless! read more

My bf and I live in the area and have been to this place three times. The first time I had the gyro plate which wasn't great, but not bad either. It just didn't taste fresh and the bread was like the kind you get at the grocery store. The second time, I had the roasted quinoa plate, which was also just ok. Nothing special, I just wanted something light and healthy. Just went again this weekend for brunch and unfortunately this will be my last visit. I ordered the crab cake benedict for $15. The crab cakes tasted like they were frozen and just got defrosted, they were very small and had a weird smell. The eggs weren't even cooked properly as there was barely any runny yolk. It was all on ciabatta bread that wasn't even toasted. I honestly don't know how this place has so many rave reviews. The only thing I like about this place is the decor and their cocktails but it's not worth coming back for. They need to step it up. People can tell when your food is not fresh. read more

Love their mint tea! There mushroom pizza is so delicious that I can't make myself order something different. It has two types of mushrooms, arugula and an egg cooked in the middle. The crust is flavorful and crispy. The pepper flakes add a perfect amount of spicy. The hummus is subpar. I wouldn't order that again. read more

The food was outstanding at a reasonable price. I ordered the Mediterranean Salmon, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The accompanying vegetables were also cooked just to my liking - not too crisp, and not too soft. My daughter ordered Lemon Pasta, which she also found delicious. I met some friends for an early dinner. The food and drinks were fine. The restaurant is a bit noisy but that seems to be the way they are now. The waiter was very nice but he spilled a full glass of water on one of the ladies. She was very wet. We asked if they would comp something for her. He said he would ask his manager. The bills came , no mention of the soaking and no free drink or appetizer or anything comped for her. It seems like they would have done something for her as goodwill. read more

Excellent variety of food and service. Atmosphere and decor is farmhouse style with a warm wooden and modern industrial design. Our server Angel was very friendly and attentive. The positive is they have a great Happy Hour however when it came time for our meals my husband's spaghetti and meatballs that was $17 only had 3 meatballs we complained and we're given more meatballs however when the check came we were charged $6 for 3 meatballs I complain to the manager and he argued with me that the food cost money and I told him that I was not informed that we were going to get charged he had a bit of an attitude but took off the charge for the meatballs, our waiter was good and attentive in the beginning but fell short at the end and it was hard to get service after our meals arrived, this place is pricey and if not for the access card I would not come back here read more

One of my favorite places to take clients...nice, relaxed, and excellent food! Everything I've ordered or anyone with me has ordered has always been delicious! I love their flavored tea, too. When the weather is nice, it's great to sit on the patio. Very nice waitstaff. I've had the grilled chicken sandwich, the cheeseburger, and the pizza so far. All have been homemade smokey goodness. Pizza is crisp and toppings taste great. Good fresh ingredients. We went for lunch and had mushroom Swiss burger and the Philly baguette sandwich. Both were served hot with great fries. We were tired of all the chain restaurants and this fits the bill. Modern comfortable dinning room and great service. If you want good quality food that is made fresh give them a try. read more

What a great place. My husband and I went there 2 days in a row. Yesterday for a date and today for Mother's Day with the family. It was FANTASTIC both days! Great staff and great waiters!!! I'm not sure about what other people are complaining about with the hummus? It was our favorite!!!! The beef tenderloin tacos were incredible. The drinks were AWESOME! My husband is not easily impressed. This is now our favorite place! The waitresses went out of their way to accommodate our children. I'm so grateful. It made my Mother's Day!!! We are HUGE fans of Hungry's so we were so excited to hear that the owners were opening Local Table here in Katy. The kids meals are always great with good portions. Went to 3 olives to take my husband to brunch for fathers day. Discovered that they had went out of business. So we went to Local Table to try it out. Really liked the atmosphere. Was seated right away. Glad we got there early because it filled up pretty fast. Ordered the croissant french toast w/a memosa and my husband ordered the crab cakes eggs Benedict. Since opening in May I have been back at least 2 or 3 times each month. I find the food good, especially since I am on a healthy food plan. I have brought many friends and they have enjoyed it as well. I have two choices: The kabos with basmati rice and steamed vegetables or the salmon with rice and steamed vegetables. (no gravy on either which is a healthy way that I eat). The staff is always friendly and the food is served hot. I will be buying my Thanksgiving dinner from Local Table and look forward to enjoying it. read more

It was my second time at local table, I enjoyed it so much the first time that I had to bring my friends. We got there a little early on Sunday morning so we had to wait for our mimosas, no biggie! Our server, Cody, was fast, knowledgeable and very kind. He did a great job. Ask to sit in his section! They were kind enough to make me chicken and waffles even though it's not on the menu and it was SO amazing. The breading on the chicken is awesome. My friends got Migas that they enjoyed as well. I would definitely recommend this place to others. read more

I also got a latte and not only was it not that great the cup it came in was very small - for almost $5 I would rather get a latte at Starbucks. read more

We absolutely love this place and stopped in for lunch today. Last time we were here was good my wife's birthday and they were so accommodating. Today we were kind of in a rush so we sat at the bar. We were served by Brian and he was absolutely awesome. Beyond attentive, made conversation and was on top of it the entire time. Though we were there for lunch by the time we were done we wished we could stay and have a few drinks. Awesome experience and will be back for sure. read more

Worst service I have ever experienced! We were with a party of 14, 6 of which were kids. The kids food came out on time, but that was the only thing that worked out. The appetizers and soups came out after the kids were finished with their meals about 45 minutes after we ordered. After waiting an hour and a half for our meal we asked how much longer it would take for our food to come out, the server could. It give us a reasonable estimate that the food would be coming anytime soon. We had decided to leave, paid for the kids food and appetizers and as we were leaving the manager was happy he had one less table to deal with as no tables were getting any food. read more

Established in 2016.

Local Table is a concept conceived by the family that created Hungry's Café and Bistro, a neighborhood bistro in the Rice Village and Memorial neighborhoods with a 35-plus year history. This new iteration from Hungry's represents a new generation within the Hungry's founders' family: young families building a life in the suburbs that desire a dining destination that boasts a unique combination of hipness and kid-friendliness. Local Table first opened its doors in 2016, and we're looking forward to many more years ahead.

I've had some hummus at other Mediterranean places lately that are really fantastic so those have become my baseline. They have a garlic dip which I ordered as a side item, it's the most unique dip. It's whipped to a mashed potato consistency. It's good, different. When you mix the garlic dip into the hummus it upgrades the hummus flavor. - Lentil soup (3.5/5) I was expecting to have spoonfuls of actual whole lentils but this soup has the lentils puréed so it's just a little thicker than a broth soup with no visible lentils. The flavor is good, I can taste the black pepper (but it's not hot). I just prefer less of a puréed soup. Lots of pita bread was provided. The worker taking my order thanked me for coming back. Hopefully it's not a pattern for them not to be ready when the doors open.

They also have a happy hour Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with one kebab and two sides for $15, which is a great deal. The kebab options typically include chicken, beef, lamb, or shrimp. To my knowledge, the other Fadi's locations do not offer these specials. On my most recent visit, I stopped by for happy hour. While the kebabs aren't necessarily my favorite item on the menu, it's hard to beat a meal with one kebab and two sides for $15. I chose the pomegranate eggplant, fried cauliflower, and their "Mama Ganoush," a roasted eggplant dip similar to baba ganoush. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Each meal also comes with a warm pita bread that is served fresh from the oven. The ordering process is simple: grab a tray, move down the line, and choose from the foods on display before paying at the register. My wife and I had dinner at Local Table this past Saturday and we are excited for this addition to the local restaurant scene. Based on the Hungry's brand which my family loves, we had high expectations of this establishment and were very happy to discover that all of our expectations were beyond met. Arriving at 8pm, we were seated and treated with utmost quality of service even with the restaurant buzzing with patrons. Since my wife and I like to eat on the healthier side, we had already viewed the menu online prior to arrival and was able to receive our food in a timely manner with multiple follow ups by our waiter to ensure that our experience was satisfying. The quality of our food orders alone will keep us returning to this spot and also enjoyed the atmosphere so much so that after our meal, we moved to the bar area to have a night cap adult beverage. Since they recently moved closer to us, we couldn't wait to try the new location. At their previous location on Westheimer, the food was always good, as was the staff. Our big objection was the noise level. When we go out to eat, we like to be able to converse with friends, and it was nearly impossible at Local Table. Sadly, that is still a problem at their new location, unless you eat outside. I only gave it four stars, and almost gave it three because of the loud music. I believe that restaurant music should be noticeable, but not dominating like it is at Local Table. The food was excellent and the staff was still outstanding at the Cinco Ranch location. This is my first Yelp review but I felt compelled to do one after the service I received tonight. I came in and it's a late Sunday shift so naturally people are looking to get home. My waitress, Fallon, had many tables she was rushing between. The manager Brian immediately noticed this and came to my table to take my order. He also customized my food order to make sure I received what I came in for. As I watched the way the traffic flowed in and out of the kitchen Brian helped every server and stopped to take to go orders. There's an overall sense of well-being whenever I'm dining in or picking up curbside. The whole operation is very well patted down. Low key and relaxed atmosphere, a very northeast feel to it. Tasteful, wholesome made to order food that you can enjoy and still feel at home. read more
