We came here one Sunday after Church. We heard some good reviews from others. We came in, waited only a few minutes and were seated. We got the menus and the server was basic, not friendly, nor positive. I ordered a gyro plate and the wife ordered a salad. Both were actually really good. But they gave such little bread, and come to realize that the server didn't give us all of our bread. Then we asked for some extra sauce. When the check came, the sauce was actually charged for. We went today after a few times been there and the service was bad. They were busy though our waitress never came to ask if everything was ok. We had to be lookong dor him to ask for lemon, more drinks, etc. We asked to get the salmon really well done and he said it was taken care of but it wasn't. We got lemonades which before they have been refillable for free and this time they weren't. We asked the waitress and he said he was gonna take care of that for us but instead another waitress came (he might be a sort of manager) just to tell us very abruptly that if we had free refills before it wasn't supposed to be. Really nice decor and the staff is very friendly. Their wine list is lacking good wines, but the raspberry mimosa was delicious. I only gave 3 stars because the food wasn't good at all. I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. The crab cakes could have possibly have been pre-made frozen and then cooked, the "poached" egg was more like hard boiled. It was served on a long half loaf of hoagie style bread and they were very, very sparingly with the hollandaise sauce, so overall it was tasteless and very dry. Very disappointed. I was told by so many that I should try this place and well, the food took FOREVER to come out and when it did it was cold, over cooked, dry and nothing special at all. We came for brunch. We ordered the ham and cheese omelet (totally over cooked- I could have made it better at home), Belgian waffle (cold and rubbery), traditional breakfast with wheat toast. Had the worst experience ever. I got in line right before another lady and host asked her if she got before me, implicitly accusing me I was cutting the line. The lady said - it's fine! Host takes my name and still seat the other party, even though my party was supposed be seated first. I talked to one of the owners or manager and he apologized but taking the employees side trying to make up excuses. What a disappointment! read more

This place was crazy busy for Mother's Day. I enjoyed Nathan our waiter as he comes around at the right time. The food was great but, missed the mark a bit from being so busy and the food was warm not hot. I know this wasn't their fault. If you would have seen it you would understand. I really enjoy coming to Local Table. I appreciate the "local" concept. I am a craft beer lover and they have a couple good ones. From the menu, I have enjoyed a pizza, a burger and the Gyro plate (on separate occasions BTW). All outstanding. Everything tastes like its from scratch. I love the french fries here; the kind with juuuust a little skin on 'em. Yum! Servers are always nice and friendly. Never any issues. Great patio area outside too. read more

I will make a return sometime in the future (unannounced) and re-review it. Hopefully this time it will impress. Original review below: What a serious let down! Let's start with the only positives from my experience here. The hostess was all smiles, attentive, and welcoming. The OJ was fresh squeezed and just so delicious. That's where it ended for us. The waiter we got was just visibly bored with life. He couldn't find a smile in an old navy catalog. I got the Chicken and eggs (Sunny Side) my wife got the Benedicts on "toasted" ciabatta. The kids got pancakes. So the food hits the table...my eggs were a obviously and grossly over cooked. my wife's "toasted" ciabatta was the exact opposite, looked like the cook forgot how toasted bread should feel/look like. Oh and the hair on my kids whip cream was the icing on the cake...(it was short and curly, and not from the top of ones head). The waiter seemed disinterested in my issues as he felt it being a task to remake just my eggs. The whip was in a Ramakin so we put it to the side. My wife hates sending anything back (I know, out her many wonderful attributes, this is her only flaw) so she muscled through her cold bread and under-sauced benedicts. Long story short, waiter was bad, food was just as bland we were one of 5 tables so busy wasn't an excuse...thank God for the OJ! The ambiance is great both inside and out, which is what has led us to give it 5 or 6 tries. There is just nothing special about the food that really makes a person love it or want to go back for it. With the atmosphere, we really want to love it, but we just can't. The food is just okay. They really need to step up their game. read more

Very surprised to see some of the reviews because our experience was nothing short of OUTSTANDING! We found the bloody Mary's to be tasty and my kids both loved their pasta dishes, which in my opinion were big enough to be adult portions. The jalapeño hummus was very good and I really enjoyed the Gyro plate. I know the place is very new and expected the service to not be spot on yet but surprisingly, our service was excellent given how new the restaurant is! My only critique is that I just wish the restaurant was a little closer to Fulshear so we would be able to visit more often :) read more

Stopped at local table on the way home from a soccer tournament. Ultimate restaurant test because everyone was tired and hungry. Started with the brussel sprouts appetizer, which was good enough that our ten year old son asked if we could order a 2nd one! For dinner I got the fried chicken, wife got steak sandwich, daughter got kebob dinner and son got bacon cheeseburger. Everything was really good. Chicken has a great mushroom sauce. Burger was cooked just right. Server was incredibly nice and very accommodating. Would definitely go back if we're out that way again. read more

We love LT! It's wonderful sitting on the patio when it's not too hot. It's a bit noisy inside. My husband and I went for lunch this week and it was fabulous! I have loved Hungry's in the Village for 20+ years and Local Table is just as good! Huge variety of options on the menu, nice atmosphere, good service and excellent food! I ordered the Gyro Pita and is was great . The wedge salad served with it was fantastic, the jalepeno ranch dressing was awesome! Hubby ordered the chicken fried chicken and although it was different than he expected (he was thinking southern chicken fried with white gravy) he thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife loves the Cobb salad w/Salmon and usually get the black bean orzo or the gyro platter but I had the American burger the other day and really liked it. Food was average but our service was terrible. We saw our server four times...to take our drink order, to take our food order, to clear our table and to deliver the check. Not once did he check on our table during our meal to check quality of meal, drink refills, etc. We had an issue with one plate but he cleared it away and didn't ask any questions. By then, husband was so mad he didn't care. We will not be back. Such a fun atmosphere to have such poor service. read more
